The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Orion tried to sit up. His hand still smoking like crazy but he did it. He looked down at his tattered remnants of a shirt. He pulled the thing off and looked around. "Wheres Archon? Hes still alive isnt he?" Meanwhile Orion started to get to his feet and look for a shirt to wear. He found a pile of white T shirts on the counter and tried to put it on. His wounds still left his right arm just about unusable for the time being so putting it on was a struggle.
"Of course he's alive!!" She said, somewhat hurt. "You think I wouldn't take care of him? He's hardly ever left my side, except to sleep in my room and go galavanting in the woods. Wait..." Tricity said, trying to help him. "You can't possibly want to move around yet." She helped him put the t-shirt on and put her hands on his chest to keep him from going anywhere. "You still need rest, Ri."
"We still need defense in case someone tries that shit again." He was grunting trying to put his arm through the shirt still but was slowly making progress with her help. She started to laugh as she watched him flailing his arms trying to get the shirt on. Once he got the shirt on he sat down winded and looked at her and sighed and noded. "Yea, your probably right but I can at least go with you and help out with your overseeing everyones safety."
"You're so incredibly stubborn, you know that?" She said, sighing and taking his arm. "Fine, let's go then, shall we. OH! I almost forgot." Tricity pulled the envelope from her back pocket and scanned the letter til she found the number. She handed the letter over to Orion so he could also read it and try to make heads or tails of it. After putting the phone to her ear, she shrugged at him as well when he gave the same strange face she had when she read the letter. "I don't get it either..."
The phone rang a few times and then finally she heard the the line answer. "Hello? Yes, this is Delilah Tipper, the Headmistress of Xavier's Sister School. I received a letter and I'm returning the phone call. Who am I speaking to?"
After reading the letter twice, he motioned to her to set up a meeting place within 5 days at a neutral location far away so as to provide for safety for all those involved and that she wouldnt be alone in her meeting.
Tricity shook her head. "If they wanted to attack, they could've," she told him, handing him the letter. "No address...someone slipped it in my pocket and I've been at the mansion all day long. I think someone did it while I was fussing around the grounds after everyone returned," she unconvered the phone and spoke again. "Hello?"

"Hello, Ms. Tipper, this is Dr. J. Waylans" a tranquil male voice responded. "We extend to you humble salutations, and sincerely hope all is seen as progressing relatively well. We are pleased to see that yourself, dearest Head Mistress, could respond to our letter in such a timely fashion."
the voice paused for a moment... then continued:
"One would think, provided the circumstances, it is on the safe side of probability to assume our letter created more questions then answers in such of time of confusion, mixed feelings, and controversy. We assure you, however, all questions will be answered in due time. It is of utmost importance that we meet at your absolute earliest convenience to discuss several items of great concern pertaining to our beloved mutant community."
Raphael nodded. "Ditto, nice meeting you Zeke." He then turned about, and meandered a ways down the hallway to his room. He had not been there for what seemed like months, though in reality had only been a couple weeks. He wondered vaguely if everything was the same as he had left it, bed still neatly made and duffel bag in the corner. He had not made it to bed the night he and several others were taken. He gave a soft sigh and pushed the door open and walked into the room. The unchanged room. He did not bother to mess the bed up properly before collapsing in an exhausted heap onto the bed and passing out again. Only this time it would be a completely restful sleep.
"Well, ok...yes, though I'm somewhat confused as to why we are meeting in the first place. I mean no disrespoect, but I need to ensure that I keep my students as safe as possible. The best time I can meet are during mornings, perhaps in the city somewhere?" Tricity asked as she pointed directions to someone who was looking for the Doc Prof and listening for Dr. Waylans response.
Setsuna was sitting on the grass of the tent she'd placed Kaine's unconscious body in, totally exhausted from the mission. She was thrilled it seemed to have been successful and she hoped they'd gotten everyone out of that facility. Setsuna tilted her head back against one of the support beams for the tent and began drifting off to sleep, until a terrible ruckus broke her relaxation.
When she looked up, she saw Kaine had suddenly come to and seemed to be in a terrible fit. People were able to hold him back and he drifted off once again, so it appeared. The Doc Prof had ordered he be moved to the infirmary as she heard him say Cassiel would be too because they both would remain unconscious for a period of time. From her eavesdropping before as people continously passed by, Setsuna heard Cassiel was in some kind of psychic coma.
"Doc, is it true? Mike is in some kind of a coma I heard?" she asked, standing behind him as he looked over another mutant.
"Yes, I'm afraid so," he replied, continuing on with his work and not missing a beat by her question. He turned around to see who was speaking and gave Setsuna a slight, reassuring smile. "Do not fear. He's a strong young man. He'll pull through." She'd hoped so. He seemed like a great person and strong leader to the X-Men along with Tricity. Setsuna took a few steps backwards and left the tent to visit the main tent where Cassiel and Orion were lying next to one another. She bowed her head and gave a short prayer for them both in Japanese before bowing a second time and leaving the tent to take a much needed rest in her room.
