The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Zeke listened to the rantings of the little girl in silent amusement. Not answering her or letting go of her hand. He didn't want to risk something else weird happening. That face... where have I seen that face? When he got back to his room tonight he would have to think that one over. Meanwhile, it was his job to get Millie to her bed.
Zeke smiled as a wolf-looking girl approached him and Millie, and listened carefully as she conversed with the young mutant. Then, speaking at last he said, "Hello, my name is Zeke." He looked at the little girl, and then turned back to the wolf mutant, "And I'm guessing you are Emerald. Nice to meet you. Dang, there are so many people from this base party that I have not met yet."
Zeke could see some concern on Emerald's face, and he tried to clear it, "Don't worry, she's fine. We're just taking her to bed. Come on little one." He gripped Millie's hand a little firmer and led her a few steps away, waiting for Deltoid to follow with the matress. Then, he turned back to Emerald, "If you're looking for Tricity, I'm pretty sure you can find her in that tent..." He motioned with his free hand, "She's with a few mutant called: Orion, Daria, and Cassiel. Hope that helps, take care."
Jaya was in bad shape and she knew it. She woke up and was very certain that she had been out for days. Oh well, at least my inner time piece seems to be working, she thought to herself. When her eyes adjusted to the light she took in her surroundings. She was on a sort of cot, much more comfortable than the one she'd been on at the facility, but still not a bed. She seemed to be in some sort of a tent, hooked up to a few moniters, one was beeping steadily. Gee, looks like I almost died, she thought rather absently. She tried to sit up, fell back down, then tried again, this time managing to get a little higher. She flopped back down and took a quick rest while she looked around for something she could use to help her. A couple pillows were nearby, she reached over and managed to grab one by the corner. Putting it and the pillow that was already under her head up against the top of the cot, Jaya managed to maneuver herself into a slightly more upright position. She sighed, it had taken a lot to do just that. There was a rustle of fabric and she looked up just as someone came into the tent.
Raphael watched the little girl and Zeke handle the situation. He watched Emerald walk over and pat Millie on the head. He rolled his shoulders while the short conversation went on. He took the time to fold the comforter into a more manageable mass.
“She’d likely be glad to see you,” He added as Zeke gestured and ran off the list of friends Tricity was near in the tent. “Help to put her mind at ease.”
He looked back down at Millie, and addressed her. “Come on lil one, Emerald’s just fine, let’s get you into bed.” He stepped after Zeke and the little girl, then moved past them and up the steps and opened the door for them both while he stood by for them to go in. He let his eyes close for a moment, and then stifled a yawn. It was nice to be back ‘home’.

Zeke watched as Deltoid folded up the matress, and then followed as the young man he headed back to the mansion. He tugged the somewhat reluctant little girl with him. She needed some rest. All of this commotion could be damaging her little mind. Rest was important to a five year old. Very important.
Zeke walked into mansion and past Deltoid, and then proceeded to the youngsters area of the mansion. "I'm assuming your room is around here somewhere." He exclaimed, bending down to look into the eyes of the little girl. "Can you show me where? Hold my hand now..."

When Emerald ruffled her hair, the little girl attempted to throw herself into a hug with Emerald, but she was slightly held back. Great, they were telling her to sleep, she didn't like sleep. After all of the nightmares she had been having, sleep was bad. She frowned when the guy bumped in to her, but she didn't care, not right now.
"But I don't wanna leep! I don't like it! It mean! It dark! It cary!" After talking about darkness and scary things, she realized that it was actually dark out. Immediately her voice lowered and her head kind of sunk into her neck like she was scared. Her blue eyes widened and she hugged her teddy closer. A very minute glow was emmitted from her fingertips, so light that it wasn't even too noticible, yet if you looked at her hand you could see it.
Her voice, now a whisper, sounded again; "Leep make me cared! Cared real bad! Mit Tipper taid that tea will make my bad dream go away! I had one about Jonathon and me, but it watn't me, it wat a girl that wat me but not, I wat behind him. And tome guy once looked ugly and he cared me! Merlin make me glow then toe I don't get too cared, but everyone think I glow alot and I can't tell Merlin what to do! I not his mommy! I hit bet friend and he my bet friend! And Mama Emmy it my bet friend too! And Mit Tipper! I have three bet friend!" Her voice became louder at the end until she slinked back and looked upset again.
Raphael watched Zeke lead, ever so gently forceful, the little girl away from Emerald and through the door past him as he held it for them. He closed the door behind them and followed at a couple steps behind them. He listened to Millie rattle off about not liking sleep and being scared of the dark.
He took a couple large steps and gave the little girl as gentle a pat on the head as he could manage. “Nothing to fear in the dark Lil One,” he said. “And certainly nothing to fear in sleep. Sleep is the place dreams come true, the place they really come alive.” He offered forth a tired smile down at the young girl beside him. “Would it make you feel better, not frightened, if one of us sat with you through the night? Stayed with yuh with the light on to keep all the baddies away?”
He cast a quick glance up at Zeke, a silent offer to do the task he had just recommended to the little girl, and then returned his gaze to Millie with a smile, warm but tired. If he did sit up with the girl he would likely drift off shortly after she did. “Whatcha say Lil One? Let one of us protect you tonight and keep the baddies and darkness away?”

"No one can keep the baddiet away. Except Merlin the Wonder Teddy. He it the only one that can make them go away. But thank you. And you could be a baddie! I walked in when my daddy wat watching a movie, I wanted cereal, honeycomb, and thit boy wat a bad guy and he puthed the girl! And the girl taid 'but I love you!' and tea meant it. You could turn into a zombie and eat me! I don't want that! No, Merlin the Wonder Teddy will keep me tafe."
She smiled before hugging her teddy even closer and nuzzling her face into his soft, brown fur. "He alwayt keep me tafe." She murmured into her teddy bear's head so quietly that it was difficult to figure out what she was saying or anything of that sort.
(OOC: *kidnaps Millie* I'm sorry, she's just so damn cute...)
Tricity nodded as she listened to Eaen's story. It was a little strange, but she'd heard stranger. The Doc would be looking him over and asking all the psychological questions too which might provide more answers. "Alright, let's find you a place then, ok." She motioned for him to follow as they went into the mansion and she grabbed one of the manila folders from the side table in the great hall, leaving a bloody print. "Damn, sorry about that. Whenever you get the chance, fill those papers out and then leave them at my office. They're just a standard procedure. Nothing to freak about. When you get upstairs," she pointed down the hall where the staircase led up, "you'll see that it splits three ways. You'll wanna head left to find an empty room. I'm really sorry I can't take you around now, but as you can clearly see outside..." she let the rest fade out in her sentence. "Well, it was great meeting you. Drop by my office, which is also my room, so maybe we can chat more. I'll see you later...OH! There's a map in the folder. Feel free to go poking about if you'd like." Tricity gave him a smile and then jogged back out of the mansion to head back to the main tent.
Wire winced for Skoliro as he stretched his wings out. "Damn, man. Maybe we should get that looked at. Come on..." he said, using his authoratative power in his tone to get the mutant to follow him. As they passed through different tents, Wire finally found one that wasn't crowded and only had two others inside. He recognized one of the mutants from the mansion, but wasn't sure of her name. He was bad with names, though being an X-Men, he tried to remember everyone he could living in the mansion. Wire nodded at one of the medical staff members to take a look at Skoliro's wings as he walked over to the young woman. "Hey," he began with a warm smile, "I'm Dominic or Wire if you prefer. How you doing?"
Eaen smiled as Tricity handed him the folder. He followed her around, and listened carefully, not wanting to miss any kind of information that might prove useful later. He flipped through the folder really quickly, taking note of the sheets of paper inside it before glancing back up at the staircase. He smiled back at Tricity and shot off a quick "Thank you!" as she made her way back outside.
<Well, let's hurry up... If we get a shitty room, I'm not going to be happy.>
'It's not like everyone here is new. We're probably the only people looking for a room right now. No need to rush.'
Eaen then grabbed his bags and decided to go find a room before Miguel had a good old fashion fit.
Jaya looked the man over, Dominic, he had the same name as Geist, but knowing how Geist felt about names, she decided not to mention that. "I'm Jaya O'Riley," she replied. "It's um, nice to meet you." She looked around from her new upright position. "Where am I?"

It was halarious to watch the little girl go on and on. Zeke had to check himself to keep from bursting out into laughter, and probably eventually tears. "Well then, I guess we'll be leaving you to Wonder Teddy. I'm sure he'll keep you safe." Zeke helped the little girl into bed and smiled at her. "Now, you get some rest little lady. I promise that if you go to sleep, you'll have dreams tonight. Good dreams. My friend Nightdream will make sure of that." He leanded squeezed her hand and then stood.
Walking over to the door, he turned back and looked at her. That face... what was going on here? He pulled the phone gadget that he carried out of his pocket and checked the time. It was very late. So late that it was early. He slipped the phone back into his pocket and spoke, "Good night." Then he stepped outside the room and waited for Raphael to come out.
"You're in a tent on the mansion grounds of the mutant school upstate. Myself and others saved you and the remaining kidnapped mutants from the facility where a man named Fusionist was beginning to auction off the people captured," he looked her over and tried to read her thoughts. "Are you having memory problems?"
Skoliro shrugged and followed Wire to the tent. He winced as the medical add tapped lightly on his wound, then relaxed. The cut wouldn't be there for much longer, if he had understood how most healing mutants worked.
"Memory problems?" she repeated dumly. "No, no I'm pretty sure I know what's going on." She looked around again, she honestly didn't know where she was, what was this 'mutant school upstate' he was talking about? Was there really a school just for mutants? But these questions weren't very important to her, there was one question that was burning on her heart and mind. "Where's Geist?" she asked.
