The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

He watched her, and shook his head and was about to object, saying he was not a bad guy even in the slightest sense, but Zeke beat him to the punch. He merely nodded in agreement with him. He did not feel up to arguing with the little girl anyways.
“Least you’ll let me tuck you in, right?” He said with a tired smile, and let the comforter flap open. He then draped it over Millie and patted her head. “Rest well and let Zeke’s friend take care of your dreams tonight.” He then backed out of the room and slowly closed the door behind him.
He looked over at the other man in the hallway and held out his hand, and said, after a yawn, “We’ve not been formally introduced. I’m Raphael Sevresch.”

((I KNOW! I love Millie! If she was real, I'd have to clone her and kidnap one myself))
Millie frowned as she was tucked into bed. "Fine, but if I tart to cream in the night, you'd better be waiting for me with milk and cookiet. Jonathon utd to make me cookiet and milk and read me 'If you give a moute a cookie', it wat hit favorite book." As the young girl rambled on about cookies, books, and Jonathon, her eyes became droopy and slowly closed. Her speech slowed and she rubbed her eyes.
"...then he ran to my room and I wat white and..." She was interrupted by a yawn but that didn't stop her. "...then Merlin the Wonder Teddy came to life and he hugged me and taid to" another yawn "...and my mommy would wear a tupid dret when tea wat making cookiet..." finally, she dozed off and shut her mouth, leaving the world behind to travel into her own mind.

Zeke smiled and watched as she continued to talk. She yawned a few times and finally her speech slowed and stopped. Her breathing became regular, and she was asleep. Zeke pulled the door shut behind Deltoid as he walked out. It was good that the girl had finally begun to get some rest. He needed some of that himself.
He shook the hand offered to him and smiled at the man good naturedly. "Nice to meet you Raphael, my name is Ezekiel White. A twenty-something year old mutant with sulfuric abiulities. I go by the name Zeke generally though..." Zeke was always quick to explain his power and nickname, as was his custom that associated with his social spirit.
He began to explain, "I'm teaching religion here at the school. Later on I may start to teach other things like history, science, mythology, engineering. Just stuff I'm familiar with. I'm a huge engineering guy, and I've often wondered if my skills could be utilized here in that area." He chuckled a little.
"Sorry, I'm rambling... what's you power Raphael?"
Raphael lead the way from Millie’s room and listened to the other man explain his duties and mutation. Zeke certainly seemed more active than Raphael… sure he did chores from time to time around the house, as well as teaching a couple other students one of the three martial arts styles he knew, but nothing as helpful as the other man’s duties. Teaching a class, and possibly more classes in the future, was a far cry from what Raphael did. He snapped his attention back to the present situation as Zeke asked him a question.
“I heal.” He stated simply. “Cut me and it’ll close before your eyes, compliments the elbow blades that rest in my arms… And I see souls, when I focus on it. Nothin’ special.”
He gave a shrug, followed by a yawn. “Think something else mighta been added to me recently, sure as hell fell heavier… Doc’ll probably lecture me about it tomorrow, when I’m honor-bound to give him a chance to look me over closely.” He nodded again, though that time it was more to himself than anything else. Raphael felt more tired by the moment, and before long he stopped at the head of a hallway. “I hate to cut things short Zeke… But I’m exhausted.”
Wire furrowed his eyebrows and thought for a moment..."OH! Geist...I haven't seen him actually. You knew him?" he asked and leaned against the bed. "He came to the church where we asked for some recruits and came on the mission with us to the facility. He actually helped a lot on keeping back the soldiers when we got there. Though, he disappeared for a little bit. I'm sure it was to get you. He seemed pretty upset at the church and eager to get going. How do you know him?"
"Oh, we had a run-in with this crazy girl when I was still living on my own," Jaya said, smiling as she thought about it. "He saved my life and we got along pretty well, so we started living with each other." She could feel herself gaining more energy as she lay there, soaking up what little sunlight was coming through the open tent flap. She breathed it in, the only thing that could make her feel any better would be Geist's presence here. "Do you know when he's coming back?" she asked quietly.

Ezekiel nodded. "I see... cool mutation. Allows for a lot of different things. I knew of a healing mutant in England once, but that was only in the papers once or twice. Nothing big, just something I noticed. Anyways... the soul seeing things sounds cool too."
Pulling his shoulders closer to his neck, Zeke moved his head left and right to get the kinks out. He really was tired. "Yeah, the Doc can be a little persistant sometimes. He wants his orders followed, and I don't know if I blame him..." He chuckled a little thinking of the DocProf's unique personality. Zeke then listened as Deltoid noted that he was tired and wished to go to bed. "Fair enough... nice to meet you Raphael. Get some good rest." With a nod of his head and a slight salute for fun, Zeke turned and walked down the hall and out the door.
Before he got to the steps leading down to the backyard mansion grounds, he felt a little light headed. Now he was really getting tired. The dreaming, working, and stress was catching up with him. All of them were paying its toll on his body. It was time to hit the hay. Spinning around once more and making his decision, he started back towards the dorms. Turning down the men's faculty/adult hallway, he found his room and shut the door. He was too tired to undress, so he flopped into his bed and closed his eyes. Without a thought, he was asleep... and dreaming once more.
Orion had been lying face down upon the operating table. Tricity and the DocProf had been very worried because Orion's hands had not been smoking on their own. He was healing very slowly too. Tricity stepped outside to take a moment to herself. The DocProf had been bustling about the tent trying to create little healing potions and whatnot. At one point while Tricity was chatting with some new mutant the DocProf turned to administer Orion a anitbiotic syringe. The DocProf stopped suddenly as he saw Orion's Left hand which was dangling off the table begin to slowly glow and little wisps of smoke began to curl and float upwards. Now Tricity had taken some steps away from the tent with the newcomer. Doc knew that she would be back soon. Sure enough a few minutes later she reemerged in the tent with a small towel trying to wipe the drying blood off her hands. As he expec ted the first thing she did as she entered was to look straight at Orion, or rather his hands. At first she opened her mouth to say something to the Doc, but then what she saw registered in her mind. His left hand was smoking and glowing. She caught her breath and motioned for the Doc to come and see. He motioned for her to wait a moment as he finished administering another treatment to Cassiel next to Orion. The Doc came around to her side of the bed when he was finished and smiled at her as he watched her begin to smile at the sight. He too smiled and asked her.
"So, my dear do you think it's time for me to try and work a little magic of my own on him or should we let him heal himself on his own?"
Tricity smiled at the Doc even though he had asked the question she knew damn well that he would do his best to help Orions condition.
"Doc, I think its time we this give man your golden touch!" she said with a smile and butterflies soared through her stomach.
"Well then if youll step over on the otherside of the table and you can hold his hand. Im sure that will help almost as much as what Im about to do." With that she did move across the table and the Doc's hands began to glow as hemoved them slowly over Orions back. After a few minutes of this Tricity who had been holding Orion's left hand noticed to glow getting brighter and the smoke began to get heavier. "Doc?! Its working keep going!"
"I have no intention of stopping, my dear." He replied as if the idea was preposterous to him.
A minute later she noticed that the muscles in his hand began to twitch. She had been looking at him intently from the beginning of the treamtent. He had obviously been through alot this time. His face had aged and some of his hairs had started to turn grey. She wondered if his own healing ability would be able to re-color his hair or was it a permanent thing. She tilted her head and looked at him. He kind of looked distinguished with some grey hair now, but she wasnt sure if she wanted him to look that old just yet. She remembered the fact that hereally was that old. She smiled and realized that it wasnt how he looked that had caused them to fall in love, it was who they are.
"There, the back wound is all healed up now. Now we need to turn him over to work on the front. This was slow and draining process for the Doc for he would not let Tricity help. Tricity, not being the type to let one person handle the burden on their own helped when the Doc couldnt see. After they turned him around the Doc started to work on all the scratched and holes in his front. Tricity felt a small squeeze of her hand. She looked down just in time to watch his eyes flutter open. Once he was able to open his eyes and focus on her face which was the first thing he saw he smiled weakly. Then he tried to say something which was a reallly bad ida for this required breath through the lung that had been bruised badly. Slowly he took his hand away from hers and put it to his chest where a few moments later he was able to speak again, albeit weakly but understandable nonetheless. His first words were. "How is it everytime I see you you look like no matter whatever happens in this world it can't effect you?"
Tricity shurgged and touched his face. "I've learned to bottle it up. Someone in charge can't break down or everyone else starts to freak out too. I guess I save it for late nights when I'm alone..." She sighed and then smiled at him. "How are you feeling and how were you captured by Fusionist's men?"
Orion frowned. "I feel like shit. Right now I dont remember how I got captured. Usually I put up such a fight that at least someone in the area comes around to help out, but I must have been far enough away from civilization for noone to hear the fighht if there was one."
He motioned toward Tricities belly. "Hows the little one doing?"
"Ok, though I still haven't asked the Doc Prof to tell me the sex of the baby, yet. I still want a surprise," she said and kneeled down next to him. "As you know, the nine months have come and gone a long time ago. I asked him about it and he said that because of our mutations, the pregnancy may be longer than humans. He said we shouldn't worry about it because I've been getting normal check-ups and such and everything looks fine."
She sighed and put her head on his hand. "I've missed you. I might have to strap you down so you won't go wandering off again," Tricity sarcastically said.
" Im thinking that you doing that would start two things. One maybe it would keep me healthier longer, and two...well use your imagination."
He winked at her. The Doc raised an eyebrow and seeing as Orion was well on his way to recovery he smiled and bustled off to continue on other mutants whos needs were more severe.
Tricity laughed and put a hand over his mouth. As she did this, she looked over at Cassiel who remained still. Her heart fell and she lowered her head a bit in sadness. "We were able to get everyone out, but lost him in the process. He's the second in command and now..." Tricity looked back up at Orion. "The two of you were quite a pair at the museum, so I've heard."
"I had heard of him while I was in, but we never saw each other. It was rare I ever saw another mutant. They were afraid of what we could do if we teamed up. Who killed him?" Orion still didnt know that Cassiel was alive just not a person at the moment.
"What happened after I left, Delilah? Who attacked this mansion? Where are they now?"
"Oh God, no, he's not dead," Tricity quickly said. "He's stuck in some sort of psychic trance. He sacrificed himself to save Daria. It began when two scientists named Fusionist and Tattoo had been kidnapping mutants off the street and planned to auction them off at the facility in which we rescued them from. They've been experimenting on mutants for years. We don't know where they are for now, but I think Emerald or Daria may have some information on it. The X-Men need to regroup so I can get a full report, but I've been more concerned about getting everyone healed first. It seems many of the people can not remember what happened. I think it has to do with the tranquilizers the soldiers used in order to apprehend the mutants. Though...I can't say for sure."
