The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Got a plot in mind?
MRO plots are player-created the Mods facilitate and organize the big ones, but we get the ideas from you. Do you have a plot in mind, and want to know whether it needs Mod approval? Check out our plot guidelines.
Hooookay so! Here is the deal, kids. Freaky Friday is scheduled to take place as a mini-plot for this summer, but we need some help with some things before we can get the ball rolling.
We need a Plot device for why people get switched. For example: some body-switching mutant catches a cold and every time he sneezes, someone wakes up in a different body, or something like that. It need not be serious or even make sense. It's just an excuse to switch.
We would like ideas from members and then after we get those juicy ideas, we will hold a poll where you get to decide our plot device. If you have an idea, feel free to respond to this thread.
Idea submissions are DUE by April 29th. The poll will begin May 1st and close on May 8th. It's a pretty short time line so please get your submissions in!
We also need to take a census of which characters are still interested in participating. If you are still interested in participating please respond to this thread with the characters you would like to use in this plot. We are accepting newcomers and old timers for this plot. If you have just joined, you are free to join this plot.
More details about the Freaky Friday mini-plot can be found here at the original suggestion posting.

Mugen
An evil villain attacks a laboratory in the center of New York and accidentally knocks some beakers together mixing them in such a way to form a chemical reaction that releases spores through the vents of the lab out to the general public. Mutants who inhale the spores switch bodies with anyone within a mile radius of them... totally serious.
Well I volunteer at least Sara for this. I don't know yet if I will have time to throw pix in the mix as well.
As for why we are all switching bodies. I want to blame the evil dastardly chemist known as the muffin man. To be sure that his experiments work, he has carefully chosen mutants of the public and takes his experiments to the streets disguised as muffin gifts. He hands two mutants each a muffin, and as soon as the muffin is bitten into their minds switch bodies. There is the explanation.
Why is the muffin man doing this? Because he was formerly known as Humpedidumpdy. You know. Humpedidumpyi sat on a wall, HumpedidumpdY had a great fall.. .. .. A mutant with an egg shaped head, who has a regenerative mutation, but a fragile body. Do to his mutation he has lived for hundreds of years, but has become very clumsy and when he was injured he became a little more deformed. He wishes for a new body and is looking for a way to take his regenerative mutation to the new body with out the fragility. however just switching bodies is an excellent start.
We could have an eclipse effect our powers and make it switch us...I don't think anyone has ever mixed in an eclipse and super powers before. think of how heroic it would be to put that in a plot.
With Were's Idea we could address a subject that rarely (thankfully ) comes up in rp. we could have the effects of the switch end when the muffins 'leave' the digestive system of both mutants. This might not limit the time span of the plot as quickly as one may think.(hopefully the muffins aren't bran) after all how awkward would it be to do that in someone else's body.
perhaps there should be two choices for the muffin option? one with out unthinkable end game & one with? (or the third option of someone accidentally leaving this out of the poll and never ever, ever bringing it up again.
I think I'll toss Rupert into the mix. No matter whose body he ends up in, this should be good. And someone else gets to limp and wheeze around the city, and possibly get attacked by Tarin and Lee and WereCat! Yay!
PS: On that note, make sure any suggestion works for humans too, so Rup and our Adapteds can play along.
