The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Aura Looked up at the Sky as she walked down the sidewalk, the day was clear without a cloud in the sky. She bumped int someone who yelled a few obscene words at her. Aura looked back at the man, her aura flared but she forced it back. It was not worth it, she had to learn to tell herself the man was no threat. She ran a hand down her long braid trying to keep herself calm. She was so use to reacting the instant an infraction was preformed, but this was NYC, not the forests of Canada where people with much more scarce.
Aura remembered her friend mentioning how relaxing she found nature. Aura could not imagine why though, it always had seemed boring to her, added to her dislike of bugs made her dislike forests. Still she was willing to give it a try, aura adjusted her long flowing black skirt, as she stopped just before central park, really the closest wooded area, NYC had to offer. Walking across the street, she growled a bit, as a cab ran a ran light, and nearly ran over her foot, as it sped by. Again aura kept her calm and continued to the other side of the road, so far she was more annoyed then when she started the walk.
Aura found her way to a secluded area of the park, trying to stay away from most of the people around. Looking down she clutched her necklace, a ruby implanted in the eye, of the small phoenix bird. She chanted to herself under her breath. "Braid the branches life fulfilling, goddess loving, goddess killing" after a few rounds she realized it was not working, looking around and seeing no one near her, she let her aura, flare, forming a sharp blade a long her lower hand and brought it quickly down against the tree trunk in front of her, the blade cut into the tree bark easily. The aura around her left arm formed into a blade as well and when she swung, this time the swing was slightly sloppier and this blade seemed to meet more resisistence, as it bit into the bark it went through slower. Turning around aura Leaned against the tree and let her aura fade away/
Aura closed her eyes as she relaxed, finally after almost a half hour she had calmed, her nerves, when she felt, somthing cold against her neck, and at once she knew what it was, she did not scream but raised her hands a bit, in which a gruff voice behind her quickly told her not to do, as he pulled her closer to his body. Aura, smiled, her range was quite limited, but that no longer matters, as her aura formed around her again pushing the man back an inch. The would be thief took a second to take in what happened, aura, formed a small blade from the back of her foot, and drove it, into the knee of the man, who screamed loudly in pain, as he fell to back, shakily holding the gun at aura, who just licked her lips.
"Human, scum, trying to rob me?" She said, seriously considering, striking the man down there, despite him not being worth the fight. She quickly tried to think weather it was worth it or not, though her hammered in instinct told her yes.
Nathan had decided to run through Central Park that day. The Mansion grounds were getting more and more familiar and he needed to still get to know the city a little bit better. Hence his jogging through Central Park.
What he didn't expect to find was a voice screaming the words 'human scum'. Nathan almost let out a sigh when he heard it. The maxim 'An X-Man's work is never done' came to mind. Even though he was still a trainee, he was confident given a few more weeks he could prove himself a full X-Man.
But that didn't matter to him at the moment. Someone was in trouble and needed his help. And he was going to help them whether they liked it or not. He came upon a man clutching his knee and a girl in her teens. He immediately assumed the girl was the mutant because of the man's injury and his gun.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you," said Nathan to the man with the gun. Nathan remembered from somewhere the majority of people that have a gun don't use it. The pyromancer's information had been right. As soon as the man saw that there was nothing more to be had from his original victim he began to slowly back away and finally turned and ran as fast as he could with his injured leg.
It wasn't hard to figure out what had happened for Nathan. The man had tried to rob her and she fought back using her powers. It was natural for her. But it was also the reason mutants had the image they did. And Nathan has seen the look in her eyes. She had meant to kill the poor man.

Another cold winter day and Arielle found herself once again on a Central Park bench with one of her romance books in one hand and a hot dog in the other. Reading outside was just a comfortable pass time for her. Even back at home, there was no better way for her to relax than laying out on the beach with a good book in hand. Though the fact that Aiden was away for one of his 'business trips' was also another reason she was out in the park because she would normally be out with him for a lunch date during this time of the day.
She was well into her book and just after eating the last bite of her hotdog, Arielle over heard someone yelling and then some screams. The fact that she heard "Human, scum, trying to rob me?" , Arielle already knew there was a conflict going on between a human and mutant. That and that voice noting the 'human scum' seemed very familiar to Arielle. She closed her book and then followed the sounds, eventually leading her to a scene of a human limping away in a terrified look on his face and two other figures facing each other.
"Hey Nate, whats going on?" Arielle asked her friend from the mansion, walking up beside him while gazing at the teenage girl. The same girl she had encountered at the gas station weeks ago with Sam. "You again..." Arielle sighed putting a hand to her forehead and the other on her hip as she let out an annoyed sigh. "Why is it that we always meet on these kind of terms? Don't have anything better to do than be an annoying thorn in society's side by always making trouble?" she said to Aura.
She heard Seraphs voice and looked in his direction, her pink aura encasing her in see through energy, She tilted her head as the man limped away after Seraph spoke to him, she had been off, she had aimed, to completely disable the leg, she also noticed the blow had not gone all the way through the knee, as she had hoped. The wound would be very painful for quite awhile and she imagined he would try and make it to a hospital as soon as he could. He would live, but she imagined he might have trouble with the knee for awhile if not for the rest of his life.
She looked up at Seraph, she had noticed him before this, but as he offered no threat so far she had been content to let her green eyes watch the Human. Then she saw Arielle, she smiled, perhaps this day would be entertaining as well. As She watched the two her aura flowed, forming a long blade that ran the length of her arm, before letting it melt back into her aura, like a wave into a calm sea. She Decided which of them To address first, and leaning against the tree she had been practicing on, she looked at Seraph.
"I am Aura, my friend and their was no need to worry, his bullet could not have harmed me, i would have easily made it to him, much before that, would have been a clean blow. Since you know the Preachy girl over there, i'm guessing you would have objected to me simply killing him, despite him simply being a human. Though the Theif did get off rather easily" She said, their was a bit of coldness in her voice, more so when she mentioned Arielle, something about the girl just annoyed her.
Looking over to Arielle, she dropped her smile considering the girl's words. She was right they did keep meeting in lousy situations. "Ah the preachy lady" She said considering her next words for just a moment. She had come off as preachy last time, at least to Aura and so she would have some fun with the idea. "Forgive me father for i have sinned." She said folding her hands in front of her as if preying. She had been waiting for this day and if she could annoy Arielle in the process that was just a bonus.
"I was more worried about him than you. There was no need to injure that man like that. Even if he was a theif. And yes I would have objected to you killing him very much so. I'm Nathan by the way."
As the pyromancer saw the blade form in her hands he made one of fire in his own. He wasn't going to be caught unprepared not with by a child anyway. But as soon as her blade disappeared so did his.
Nathan didn't feel the need for this to go on any longer. But Aura decided that she wanted to taunt the newly arrived Arielle. Things were getting out of hand. "There's no need for you to be so rude."
"Preachy Lady?!" Arielle growled curling her fists. "I was trying to help you, but obviously you're so damn hard headed, you rather cause trouble than be a reasonable person!" she shot back to the teen and then sighed at Nathan's comment.
"Telling her not to be rude is like telling a lion to become a vegetarian. You won't get through to her through words." Arielle said stepping in front of Nathan and glaring at Aura. "So how are we gonna settle this. We can do this the easy way or hard way. The offer still stands about you coming to the mansion, but there's no use in wasting my breath so I suggest you run on home to whatever little hole you live in now..." Arielle folding her arms.
The conceapt of him worrying about a human, perplexed her. A sence of bewilderment crossed her eyes a moment, but it quickly faded away. "Nice to meet you Nathen, his death would not matter, becuse in nature only the strong survive. So if he did die it was becuse he was not strong enough to live" She said, her words were pure and from her heart. They had been ingrained into her over years of conditioning. She watched the Mans fireball with intrest unsure how her aura would do against flame.
Aura smiled calmly, at how easily Ariell was getting angry and Aura had to admit she was right, the girl was quite cute when riled up. She heard Seraph mention her being rude and she knew she was, but the Amusement at Ariell's new title more then made up for it, in her opinion. "We can do what the easy or the hard way? i defended myself from a robber nothing more. However if your so into a dance, Preachy lady, then im quite willing to do so." She said with a smile, as she had the entire time she had sustained her aura, though she hqd formed no blades
"I watched scum like that theif, land a mortar shell is my best freinds bed. i had to remove her severd hand from my hair Watched Human.s riddile the others full of bullets from automatic weapon fire and watched my Love and the only mother i knew fall from a cliff, hundreds of feets up. "She closed her eyes, her aura, was beginning to ripple as she spoke, an outward sign of her anger. "I have been more then kind today, not harming these creatures even after all they have done. Though you are somwhat atractive Preacher girl, it is clear you lack knolige of reality and that itself oversahdows that sole quality." She said with a sigh, she took a step back to stand becide the tree she had cut into earlior. "Though it seems you are going to try and take me no matter my choice, i may as well enjoy the dance, Show me what ya have and try not to bore me" She said forming a blade and cutting into the back of the tree, the blade creeked loudly, and quite a bit of snow fell from it's leafless branches forming a white powdery myst that would onstruct the eyes for a few seounds. She was happy and calm for the first time in several days, she had confirmed what she ahd always known, combat was the best way to relax. She would not rush the two of them, that would be foolish, once she hit one the other would strike her from behind, no she had a plan despite neried's power still being a mystery to her.

"That may be true in nature but we are above the laws that govern animals. Or so I thought. You have no right to decide who is stronger. Just because he wasn't granted abilities like us doesn't mean that he is inferior. Only different."
"I'm sorry for your loss but there are better ways to cope with something like that than going around trying to kill people. You could have easily defeated him without injuring him. There was no need to cripple that man. He may have been trying to rob you but you have no idea as to what his motivations where behind his actions. He could have family that needs the money. Or he could be a bum off the street. My point is that you had no idea when you attacked. You were about to deprive someone of a possible father, brother, or son. Doesn't that mean anything to you?"
Nathan noticed that things were starting to take a turn for the worst. He didn't want to fight this girl. She obviously had no issues with killing someone and he couldn't change that. He certainly couldn't kill her. He would have to knock her out and think of something. "This is getting out of hand," he said trying to calm everything down. But to no avail.
The pyromancer reacted immediately when the sheet of snow fell from the tree. He threw up a wall of flame that would instantly vaporize the water infront of him turning it into air. Nullifying the trick she just tried to pull.
Then a blade of fire similar to the one he had held moments before appeared between his hands. He was going to wait for her to make the first move.

Arielle rolled her eyes at Nathan and Aura. That little brat could make sword, and so could Nathan. She was beginning to feel a bit left out. Nevertheless, she had her own tricks and she would just to have to make due with them.
"Oh no. Don't do that. Save the trees." Arielle said lamely and unimpressed by Aura cutting down the tree and saw Nathan create a wall of fire to block it. She saw the look on his face and could tel he saw ready to fight. That and the fact he was holding a sword made it obvious, but it wasn't going to happen.
"Sorry Nate. I'm handling this one," Arielle placed a hand on his shoulder and began walking forwards, turning transmute and ready for any physical blows that may come her way. She slowly walked towards Aura and paused when there was only a good 6 feet between them.
"Final warning little girl. Run away while you still can. And if your gonna fight then fight. Stop with the whiny speeches about how much you hate humans. You sound like a mutant emo. I don't like emos. So fight or leave."
While the snow vaporized, Aura's hand slipped to the cell phone in her pocket, her fingers quickly hitting the speed dial Button, she did not say hello, as she heard the Phone Pick up, she wanted to keep her call secret and so she muted the voice on the other end as well. "Central park really does attract the save the Human crowd, Two on one really does seem to be your style though" She muttered loudly.
It was clear she was not getting through to either of them, in fact it seemed as if the Flamer would have rather her get shot then to fight the man off. "Weather he had a family who cared about him, really would be his issue, one really should not try and rob others if they have loved ones or can not manage the consequences. So his poor choices mean little to me" She said with a shrug. He still failed to grasp the truth, this was not about coping, no this was about vengeance. She would be an angel of death to the humans. She stayed ready, keeping her aura up, her eyes kept track of both of these people.
She was unsurprised when her snow field was vaporized, she had assumed that would happen, it was a test, she had been hoping to get Nereid to reveal her power. The Blade of fire was interesting and she was quite curious on how well her Aura would hold up to that blade. Focusing more on Arielle, she was curious on the save the trees comment. She wondered if she grasped why she had kept the tree standing and only knocked the snow off, from the top, by causing the tree to shake.
She watched Arielle ask the man to stayed back, this is what she had been hoping for, she would deal With the Flamer after that. Everyone had an ideal to push it seemed. "You seem to believe i care what you like or dislike, but i was looking to relax, so i do thank you for helping me in that regard" She said Moving forward, she noticed the girls power, and was unsure how to deal with it. Aura moved quickly, covering the few feet between her and the the Preacher lady very quickly, she brought her Aura blade, in a swing, aimed for the midsection, the swing was quick and strong, but Aura kept her focus on the rest of the aura, she was assuming this move would fail, and she was not entirely sure Captain Flamer would stay out of this anyway. Her cell still ran, and she hoped her back up would arrive sooner then later.

Leila was sitting comfortably in the Sanctuary, enjoying the evil air that lurked around her. She had been hanging around here whenever she got bored of the Mansion, or whenever Sam wasn't around. She had good excuses for the residents who noticed her long absences too. Work, Errands, all that stuff. She would spend hours on end, simply sitting here in the Foyer and read. She'd walked around the entire building too, so she knew the place farely well.
She'd been in the Order for a month and a half now, and about a week ago she'd returned from her little trip in Australia. Nothing had changed much since then, but Leila did seem a little more rational now that she was back in the States. She seemed to have a good relationship with Sam, and friendship with Arielle. This was good, two X-Mansion residents she'd see suffer when her secret came out. She knew it would soon enough too, one way or an other, it would get out. She wasn't to worried about Sam though, she loved him a lot, but he'd get over it, and so would she.
She heard a phone ringing somewhere at her left, and her eyes darted to it. "Weird." she muttered, looking for anyone around that might have a call coming their way. Nope, she was the only one here by a long shot. "Hello?" she asked, picking up the receiver. "You reached the Sanctuary." she added, if this was an Order member, they'd know where this was, but if it was someone else... She just hoped it wasn't a Mansion resident who'd reconize her voice.
No answer. Leila frowned, "Hello?" she repeated, but voices caught her attention. She could definitely make out Nathan and Arielle's voice. Were they in trouble? But no... She could understand something was wrong. It wasdn't Nathan or Arielle that needed help, but the Order Member that was in front of them, fighting. Oh no, Nathan and Arielle had good powers. She hoped whoever had called wouldn't get burnt before she could arrive.

Nathan was tired of trying to convince the mutant that there was a better way to do things. If you could not see that then they were just holding onto their selfish desires and ignorant way of thinking.
The pyromancer had no problem with Arielle taking the lead on this one. The girl needed experience more than he needed it. And he could step in at anytime and prevent anything from happenning.
Nathan walked over to a tree and leaned against it with his arms folded. He would watch the fight carefully though. He thought Arielle was way too confident for her own good. She needed to learn that a true fight was nothing like the Danger Room sessions that she had went through so far.
He had seen Aura use her cell phone to call somewhere. That meant the possibility of reinforcements arriving. If they came, let them come. If not then Nathan was content to monitor the fight that ensued before him. Strangely, he didn't care either way.

Before Arielle could even attempt a dodge, she found her midsection being cut into by Aura's blade. The girl apparently had speed and some power behind it. Sad thing was that the attack was futile. The blade simply went through Arielle's liquid body and where blood would have been had she not transformed before the attack, just a gush of water splattered into the snow littered ground.
"Aww. That was cute. Little girl likes to play samurai...." Arielle chuckled and splashed a few feet back to create some distance between herself and the young Order member. "All I really wanted to do was help you, but apparently you're just a lost cause. I'm really sorry it has to be like this!" Arielle spoke and all the while increasing the water pressure of her body. One last grunt to summon more strength and the water elemental launched and propelled herself forward towards Aura, and shaping herself into a water-like drill to gain more force power with intents of hopefully KO'ing the younger mutant in one hit.
Aura Felt far less resistance to her blade then their should have been and her eyes spotted the reason as water droplets struck the snow. She was fighting a walking sack of water, Solkat would have loved this. She quickly recalled the environment around her, their were no power lines near bye, that meant frying the witch out of the question and with out the Capt, joining in, this fight was completely one sided, and Aura was well aware, she had only a few methods of attack. . She could only smile this was going to be fun. "You really would make a better Order member then X-men. " She said with a laugh, she was confident, calm and the idea she found this fun was very apparent.
Attacking Directly would be Pointless, as she figured the girl would return to water form still the girl had bothered to place distance between the two. She gave little heed to the woman's words, they were meaningless. As Soon as Arielle launch herself forward she knew Preachy lady, she formed a drill using the water and the spin to gain more force, it was a good plan but basic. Aura's blade gathered on her right arm she would test her for now, until she could find the one item she needed. Dodging beside the Drills head, she struck her sword against it's side, despite knowing it would prolboly do little damage overall. She was still smiling, brightly she was making up for her lack of force with raw strength. She was young but she was strong. This would be a fight of endurances, and she was curious if she could outlast, the preacher.

Leila hung up the phone, knowing exactly where Central Park was. It would be fairly easy to spot a battle. She knew Arielle and Nathan's abilities, Water and Fire. Opposite Elementals working together. Very stupid of them. What if Arielle and Nathan collided? Water and Fire doesn't react well to one an other. Leila bit her lip, wondering what to do. Could she really evaporate Arielle? Using Nathan? This could be done easily, she just had to play cool, and pretend she was just one of those joggers or something.
She jumped over the sofa, and out of the doorway. She needed to get herself a discuise. She knew Nathan didn't know her well enough to tell who she was with a wig and contacts, especially if she had her hood on. She could put a lot of dark Make up too, and lower her voice to a graver pitch. That could work very well. Before she knew it, she was dressed in black, baggy sweat pants and an even baggier sweat shirt with the hood covering her mass of fake black emo-cut hair that hid most of her face. Her eyes were a muddy red now, due to the red contacts over her brown eyes, and she had red lipstick and thick eye liner.
She looked at herself in the mirror and shivered. She looked scary, even when she knew who she really was. With the long, sharp blade in her hands, she was a little edgy. 10 minutes had past since the phone call, and Leila stood at the gates of the Sanctuary, where her car was parked. She was ready to fight her new friend and older Firey friend. "Sorry Ari, Nathan." she whispered under her breath as she drove over the speed limit towards Central Park.
She parked her car about a block away, and, with the blade safely hidden under her sweat shirt, she made her way at a fast, jogging pace towards the middle of the Park. She sat down, casually into a seat, trying to find the fight. It wasn't long until she did, Arielle was watery, launching herself at the person Leila would be helping out today. "If you mess with my fellow Order Members, you will mess with me." she said angrily, knowing that if Arielle knew, she'd never forgive her for this.
