The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Frowning as the stool was thrown and the sudden change in the atmosphere Sam felt unease and confusion. Looking over to Sara Sam frowned and said, “Why is it every time I see you your either starting trouble or egging it on?” Sam could think of numerous times he met Sara and there was trouble all around her, not to mention the first time they met.
Turning his head to Death Star Sam said, “Can’t you guys talk it out?” Sam asked curiously, “or if you have to can you take the fight to the Danger Room where no one will get hurt, I got my food coming and I don’t want it to get cold, while I am trying to stop you two from breaking everything.“ Sam finished up by giving Death Star a look that pleaded her not to fight.
Sam could smell the food as it was being cooked and his stomach growled, “Not only do I got to pay for the food but I probably have to pay for the stool to…” mumble Sam.
The missed Shot angered Deathstar, it seems like her spiritual little retreat had no effect in this situation. “I think you still have some issues to work out”[/b], said Sara, "you are my issues, your order buddies can't help you out of this one" Deathstar replied. The people in the diner looked at the mutants as if they were witnessing a car accident in slow motion, "What the hell are you all looking at?" Deathstar shouts at the people as their eyes watch in horror.
“So you’ve still got a problem with me.” Sara’s tail flicked. “you want to take this outside? Away from the business?”
"It doesn't matter, your going to get whats coming to ya", Deathstar said as she slowly picks up Sam's Chocolate malt and throws it toward Sara's face. “Can’t you guys talk it out?, Sam says, "NO!, she was a bad kitty, I think its time for her to go back to the pound where she belongs", Deathstar says while she scrunches up her face.
Sara distinctly heard the sound of cracking knuckles and she looked over her shoulder at the other man, another mutant, in the hood. One eye braw raised and she wondered for a minute, if he would bring on an attack from behind her. She’d never scene that mutant before. Sara wasn’t exactly used to having help or anything. She was used to being on her own side.
“Why is it every time I see you your either starting trouble or egging it on?”[//b]
“I can think of a couple times that we’ve met and I was doing nothing of the sort.” The time Tarin lost control in Time Square. Christmas. Did Sara waking up in the infirmary count as a third time or was that the same as the day with Tarin?
“or if you have to can you take the fight to the Danger Room where no one will get hurt,
“What’s a danger room?” Sara glanced sideways at Sam. Just the fact she didn’t know what the danger room was, she wasn’t going there, but it did have her curiosity.
"It doesn't matter, your going to get whats coming to ya"
Sara ducked sideways again, as something else went flying at her head. Sara’s paw shot up to block some free flying malt from smashing into her face. She then sucked the mess off of her paw like hand. Sam was right. They did make good chocolate malts. She scanned the rest of the dinner and shook her head. Then returned her glare to DeathStar. “I don’t see how you can hold a grudge over some stupid food incident that happened a year ago.”
“So what I’ve got order buddies. So what. I don’t need them to back me up, I don’t need my buddies in the Kabal either. You call you’re self an x-men and I think you’re an idiot because every time I’ve met up with you, you’ve acted like this. X-men are supposed to be leaders and teachers, and at the camps all you did was spout bull sh!t. I only shoved something in your mouths way. Even your own team member attacked you to shut you up and oh look. Here you are again, in the middle of the public making the x-men look bad. That’s one thing I’ll say about the order. They know where they stand, they have respect for themselves, and their consistent.”
Deathstar was getting frustrated at Werecat's uknown dodging ability, she was getting even more angered with her trash talk. "Look!, I'm only an X-man when I am in uniform, I don't know where you heard all that crap about X-men being so righteous, because you met the wrong one", Deathstar said as she cuts Werecat off from talking, she slowly walked toward the cat girl face determine to get payback for what happened at camps, but still holding herself back from striking the mutie.
"Now listen you little scruffy furball, I will advise you to run while you still have a chance, besides I think its about time you take of those fleas don't you think", Deathstar says as she plucks an imaginary pest off her shoulder attempting to make fun of the cat girls appeareance.
Order? Shade ears perked at the word. Was this a fellow Order member? The shadow mutant hadn't ever seen the furry feline around the Sanctuary, but he knew Syn probably had agents in the field that were not suppose to be associated with the evil group. Maybe, this was one of them. Even if the cat mutant wasn't a member of the Order. Shade always enjoyed a good cat fight. His invisible eyes traveled over the teenager who appeared to not want any big confination. He stepped out from behind the cat woman, now in clear view of the mutant he had already encountered several times before. A dagger materialized underneath his palm, and with a flick of his wrist, it jabbed into the table next to the ice mutant.
"Come on now. How about we enjoy the fight for a while first?" An evil grin spreading across his lips as he finished.

Sam frowned and started to get irritated with Death Star as she began to pester Sara. He knew full well that Sara was not one to taunt she had a temper and was quick to act on it, and when she acted on it things would happen mainly a verbal assault in the direction that shot it at her, and that's exactly what happened.
Sam didn’t really respond he wasn’t going to argue with Sara, there were members of the X-men from his understanding that took human lives without hesitation. ‘Well that happens when people are scared they don’t think rationally.’ Thought Sam as he frowned at Death Star, ‘could defiantly see people trying to get her to shut up, she is way to stubborn…’
"Look!, I'm only an X-man when I am in uniform, I don't know where you heard all that crap about X-men being so righteous, because you met the wrong one"
This comment might have upset Sam most of all during this argument, “The uniform means nothing, Layla” said Sam as he put the emphases on her name. He had hardly every used her real name but Sam hoped saying her real name might jog her sense into listening to him. “You might not be one of those ‘Self Righteous’ X-Men but I am and I’ll be damned if you keep this going!” yelled Sam his powers starting to lower the temperature inside the restaurant.
“She happens to be a friend of mine Layla just like your one of mine, so knock it off…NOW!” said Sam with all the authority that he could use without causing people in the restaurant out screaming in fear.
Sam’s breath could now be seen as ice started to form on his body in hopes to show the girls how serious he was about not fighting, but then something flew his field of vision and embedded it’s self in the table. Sam looked to the knife that was in the table then to the mutant that threw it, ‘Son of a B*****’ sighed Sam as his face turned to the other mutant.
Looking to the people in the restaurant Sam again sighed and said, “Can everyone calmly leave the restaurant and could someone please call the police for me? Tell them Jack Frost is here they will know what it means…” Sam watched as no one quietly left but instead left screaming in a chaotic mess.
Looking back to the shadow mutant Sam said, “I don’t really feel like fighting you…” Sam remembered him immediately from Streak’s descriptions of him, he also remembered him from when he first came to New York, “Why don’t you leave before I shed a little light on the situation, if you can’t see I am busy…”
Ice started to cover his body as he impatiently waited for Sara and Layla to quite their bickering.
"Look!, I'm only an X-man when I am in uniform, I don't know where you heard all that crap about X-men being so righteous, because you met the wrong one"
“no kidding.” DeathStar was probably one of the many reasons why Sara didn’t let herself stay at the mansion. Even when she had been invited, or offered help. She was well aware that there were x-men that had killed, as well. She’d witnessed them killing before and had no doubt that she would see it again, when the time came.
“The uniform means nothing, Layla”
“I’m sorry Sam.” Why was it trouble just followed Sara around. It seemed to particularly reach it’s peak when Sam was around. Ok some of the time, Sara asked for it, but more times than not, she was surviving or defending herself.
“Can everyone calmly leave the restaurant and could someone please call the police for me? Tell them Jack Frost is here they will know what it means…”
“Thank you.” Sara mumbled. One she didn’t want to hurt someone… other that Layla here, and two she really didn’t wand an audience. Although she really wasn’t happy about the police showing up.
"Now listen you little scruffy furball, I will advise you to run while you still have a chance, besides I think its about time you take care of those fleas don't you think"
The girl had gotten closer, even touching Sara to indicate the feline had fleas. Trying to make Sara take the first swing? A furry eye brow was raised as Sara tilted her head, and there was a twitch at the corner of her mouth. Giving her a cynical smirk. Cats never do what they know you want them to. “I don’t know what insults me more. The fact you go for the easy buttons to push, or the fact you didn’t take the time to think up a more original insult.” Sara wasn’t making the first swing. She wasn’t backing down either.
“I wish to be peaceful. Don’t start something you can’t stop.”
Deathstar rage began to take over her mind, She could no longer control her anger as she practiced at her spiritual retreat. As Sam spoke out against her, she closed her eyes to tame her composure.
“You might not be one of those ‘Self Righteous’ X-Men but I am and I’ll be damned if you keep this going!” Sam yelled
"Oh Sam, I sincerely apologize if I offended you in anyway, your right, I should just kiss her a#s and let it go because I'm an x-man......WHAT THE HELL???, I am Deathstar not Tricity, and if I hear you call me by my birth name again, your going to be on the floor stretched-out along with this flea-bag" Deathstar yelled as eyes fade to black on and off.
“She happens to be a friend of mine Layla just like your one of mine, so knock it off…NOW!” [/i] Sam says.
"Do I look like I care about your little pet, and lets get one thing straight Sam, I.....never said I was your friend, so however you perceive me, I think you thought wrong". Deathstar was talking out of anger, she truly didn't mean to say Sam wasn't her friend, she just wanted him to realize he hurt her by standing up Sara.
“I don’t know what insults me more. The fact you go for the easy buttons to push, or the fact you didn’t take the time to think up a more original insult.” [/i], Said Sara.
"How about the fact that...." before Deathstar finished her sentence a dagger came flying and jabbed into the table, Deathstar first reaction was that it was a set-up. "You B#tch!" Deathstar overturned the table as she jumped doing back tuck throwing a dropkick toward Werecat's chest before she landed.
"Don't worry, I have no intentions on fighting with you either...at least not today. How about we be friends for now? I'll take you to a little show. Not many people have seen it yet, but I'm sure it will be good." Shade joked evilly with the young X-men. His sinister smile grew with every sentence, but he was not unaware. Another dagger slid into his palm, carefully consealed from any light, as the shadow mutant watched ice begin to cover the other mutant. That was when the blondie snapped and decided to kick the kitty in the face.
"Oh, look. Here, we are. Now, let's enjoy the show."

Taken aback by Death Star’s Comment Sam didn’t really respond to anything up until she threw a kick at Sara, “Seriously Layla,” he kept calling her this so he could get the focus off of Sara and more on him, “if you don’t stop…” Sam paused trying to think of a threat that might work, “I’ll be forced to take sides, and right now your acting like the one of the thugs from the order.”
Sam then looked over to the shaded fellow and said, “No offense” he walked closer to the shaded figure as his armor began becoming more and more visible, “I don’t want to ruin your fun but, there is no way in hell I am willingly letting two of my friends beat the crud out of each other, I know it might be a little different how you guys do it but not how we do it.”
Sam was of course referring to the order and the X-Men. Sam will be the first to admit that the X-Men can come off as thugs, right now Layla was being a prime example of that, but the order on the other hand. Quickly became a mutant organization he had little to no respect for them what so ever.
They were all about mutants being superior but they were nothing but a bunch of thugs that attacked a school full of ‘their’ kind. The thing that upset Sam the most was at one point he was willing to join them. Sam was now a few feet from the shaded figure as he said, “If you don’t mind could you please leave?”
Sara frowned at DS. So she didn’t like being called Layla. Oh well in that case. Layla, Layla, Layla, Layla. Ha!
She didn’t lie the way DeathStar was starting to treat Sam, and she didn’t like the fact that she chose to push him. Even if Sara had found him annoying at one time, ages ago, he had grown on her with the past few meetings. He was too nice to have friends like her.
DeathStar’s kick came after the shadow knife made an appearance, and Sara’s body reacted to the oncoming threat. Instead of completely dodging, like she had with the stool and the milk shake, she shifted her weight to the side so that the kick didn’t strike her in the chest, but rather, scraped past her shoulder. Thanks to her turning her body so that she was a smaller target. Her arm went over DeathStar’s leg, and she brought her bicep down pinning the other girl’s leg to her side. The hand on her same arm, came up to press and secure DeathStar’s knee, and Sara twisted her body around to use the other girl’s momentum to wing her around. Her free arm shot forward to connect with DeathStar’s sternum. Slamming her upper body against the floor.
Sam's attempt to call out to Deathstar was a failed one, once her blood gets rushing there is no turning back. As Deathstar tries to land her dropkick, she feels Werecat's paws taking hold of her legs, swinging her down toward the ground, Deathstar immediately twists her torso facing the floor, rolling out of a painful slam to the ground. I knew that move would come in handy someday, Deathstar said to herself, "Nice try" She said smiling as she stands up from the ground, she notices a broom laying on the floor, she quickly picks it up, breaks off the end with brush pad, and turns it into a staff.
She charges toward Sara swinging the broom staff quickly, with her fist firmly at the center of the staff, she wasn't too skilled in using staffs, but she picked today to learn. She thrusts the staff blunt edge toward Werecat's ribs, followed by a quick roundoff kick to the head.
"None taken." The shadow mutant replied with a slight shrug. He wasn't about to defend the character of the Order. Sure, they weren't angels sent from heaven itself, but at least, the Order knew where they stood and never changed their opinions for anybody. Good is only the perception of the viewer.
-“I don’t want to ruin your fun but, there is no way in hell I am willingly letting two of my friends beat the crud out of each other, I know it might be a little different how you guys do it but not how we do it.”
"Obviously." Shade said, his words dripping with sarcasism followed by an evil chuckle as the two women began their duel.
-“If you don’t mind could you please leave?”
"Ah come on. It's just getting good." Shade said, uncrossing his arms and pointing to the fight as Deathstar rolled out of the takedown. His other hand was still tucked up near his body, hiding the black dagger against his body. If this frost bite wanted to fight, he was ready. Although, he really was starting to enjoy the fight. His invisible eyes shifted from the ice mutant to the fight once more as Deathstar attacked.

Sam’s attention went from the shadowed mutant back to Sara and Death Star. Regardless if Death Star said they weren’t friends Sam knew it to be a line of bullshit, seeing as she was one of the first people he had sparred with in the Danger Room. Sam also knew that he could Sara to stop if he could somehow get Death Star to stop but the way things were looking he was going to have to do a lot.
It might have been stupid to turn his back on someone from the order but Sam was overconfident in his ice armor even if the mutant tried anything. To be honest he was actually surprised that the mutant hadn’t tried anything yet, ‘maybe they weren’t all a bunch of thugs’ thought Sam as he walked closer to Sara and Death Star.
“Stop this now!” yelled Sam as the room continued to get colder, and as ice started to form on the floor now making it more dangerous for the two girls to fight, ‘which they wouldn’t make me do this’ thought Sam as he continued to form ice on every solid surface of the restaurant. “Sara stop it!” called out Sam again, knowing full well that Sara’s speed gave her everything she needed to get out of this situation, even with the ice.
Now looking at the broom stick that Death Star picked up Sam focused his power on the stick its self covering it in a blue crystal making it useless once it made contact with anything it would shatter into a bunch of frozen bits of ice and wood. ”Layla!” Sam yelled no starting to get more and more furious over the situation.
“Right.” Sara mumbled. She resisted the urge to rub where the kick had made contact. Thanks to Sara’s speed, she hadn’t received as hard of a hit, as she could have. Also the layer of dense fur that covered her body, provided Sara with some light padding. Add that to the fact that Sara’s healing factor not only provided her with excess energy in a fight, but also already was numbing the area where Layla had made contact. The fact that Sam was asking Sara to stop and her own understanding of her healing factor, allowed her to come to the conclusion that she wouldn’t back down. However she wouldn’t beat this girl to a twitching pulp. Sara could just tire her out. If Sam didn’t subdue her, Sara would in her own way.
"This is going to be good."
Sara’s eyes flicked sideways to the shady mutant. “Slick’s right about it being best you stay out of this.” DeathStar had done this cute little gymnastics stunt to get out of her grip, and avoid getting slammed and pinned. Watching her pick up the broom stick, Sara had lowered herself to a more balanced defensive stance. One foot a shoulder length behind the other, her knees bent and her feel balanced on the…. Ice?
“Sara stop it!”
While the left arm, was left bare, Sara ware a thick leather arm bracer on the right. Stretching from the back of her knuckles to her elbow, to cover her scar from the camps, and to use to block at times like this. When the end of the staff was jabbed for her gut she used the right arm to shove the staff down, as her feet slid back. Her arm rolled around the staff, like a flash, and she smacked her hand down on the broom stick. That consequently shattered when Sara struck it. Thanks to Sam. “Slick, Stop Layla, or I will!” Sara shouted back.
She often never shouted but her mood was being fed by both DeathStar, and Sam. Not a good combination. Around came the kick and Sara blocked it again with the black arm bracer. Her clawed feet acted like cleats digging into the ice. Her hand numbed from the kick that her arm blocked, but she used the block to shove DeathStar’s leg in the opposite way it was headed, Trying to cause her to slip on the ice being provided by Sam. Incase that wasn’t enough, to catch Layla off balance and send her sliding, Sara’s claws hooked into the Ice, and she closed the distance between her and Layla, to grab Layla by the shoulder, and pull her down into a rising knee.
