The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Aura shook her head at Arielle's comments, and her blades flowed back into the armor around her skin, and she flexed her back slightly. "It is clear you understand very little Arielle, of how this world truly is" She said shaking your head her voice almost dripping with enraged venom. "If people like her are what inhabit your mansion, i think i would rather rot in my old cage, as for you two, i look forward to meeting you both again" She said and With That she turned and darted into the street, several cars were forced to swerve as she did, As she ran she focussed her aura into her foot, and slashed a passing car's tire, the scars driver quickly lost control, hoping that would serve for cover, She proceeded on her run, though she did not know where she was running to. She soon came to the Large Building of the Orders, Sanctuary. As she did she could already hear the sounds of what she figured were cop cars peeling out to head her off. When the first Car Skidded in front of her, aura, thrust her blade into the side of the car door, she could hear a scream of pain as the blade penetrated the door and bit into flesh, already she could hear other cars on the way, and the noise was driving her mad. Forming a second Blade, she stabbed this through the car window missing the man inside by less then an inch, as the glass shattered, the wounded officer fired a shot several times from his pistol, her aura flared to life as the bullets pushed her back a bit, her blade leaving the car. Aura swung again but her distance made it so her blade only bit into metal

DK was in the garage and had just finished working on his car, and was winding down by polishing his blades, they were massive affairs, with the lengths almost half his height.
He hears cop cars drive close and then gun shots. Placing the blades on his back DK jogged towards the source of the sound, the golden gates of the sanctuary.
What he saw angered him. A) They were firing guns at a mutant WITHIN Sanctuary grounds. B) They were firing on a girl
As he walked forward armour had already formed although the only indication was a fearsome looking mask that covered all but his eyes that showed through narrow slits, the rest of his armour was skin coloured.
Dragon King gently pushed aside the girl’s blades as he said “Allow me Madam.” and stepped in front of her. More cops had come swerving they cars to form a sort of barricade behind which they could fire from. The cowards, to scared to fight man to man. Shaking his head slightly, he muttered “When will they learn that some lines are not to be crossed.” as he withdrew one blade from his back, the masterfully crafted weapon gleaming in the sun.
The foremost cop was firing from behind the cars, which had parked to form a sort of v shape and it was to the foremost car that DK turned. His weapon held at his side. Suddenly three blurrs filled the air. Then DK spoke as he slowly returned the blade to its sheath. “Any HUMAN who enters these gates takes their life into their own hands, if you wish to challenge us go ahead and try. Just remember what happened last time.”
Then he turned his mask dissolving as he did so to reveal his features. “Are you hurt miss?” he asked as the cop car suddenly collapsed into three segments as did the gun of the first cop.
She let her blade dissolve back into her aura as the man pushed it aside, he had delt with her attackers both quickly and efficiently, as the police car fell to pieces, the other cops, having lost their nerves, apparently recalling a past event which did not go so well for them fled off, considering a petty failed robbery, poor reason to die. Turning to the male who had come to rescue her, she watched the mask resolve. He did not seem to care why, they were after her only that she was safe, and more importantly obviously did not want to talk to the police with her, the reason she had fled the gas station in the first place. She was sure the cops were not about to let her go free.
"I'm fine, thanks to you" She said looking down at the card for the Xavier mansion. "I tried robbing some humans gas station and three mutants tried to stop me, so i fled and ended up here" She explained, looking down at the card between her fingers, before tossing it aside. "From your words i gather you have no love, for the human filth either" She Continued, assured the threat had passed, her aura began to dissipate, slowly fading away into the air. "i am Rena, also known as Aura, and may i ask your name?" She asked curiously.

After the cowardly police had left, a sort of silence hung in the air Dragon King faced the girl, his face, or more accurately his eyes showed concern of the type that was not patronising.
Upon hearing that she was fine, he broke into one of his trademark smiles. The sort that comes from the heart and shows through the eyes, the sort that when you smile at someone they cant help but smile back, the type that makes people feel comfortable, as if they belong or at home.
“It’s fine, don’t mention it.” He smiled as she recounted her escapades. “Is that the first time you have tried to rob a gas station? There are one or two tricks that you can use…” he trailed off as he caught sight of the card and read the words X-men on it. He was just about to speak when she spoke the like about human filth. Then she introduced herself. DK smiled, he liked this girl, she was ok. In “DK” talk to be ok was to be treated like a friend unless you violated his trust.
He took her hand and gave it a warm shake, his voice was deep. “A pleasure to meet you Aura, My name is Dragon King, but you can call me DK, that is what my friends call me.”
He gestured with his left hand towards the main building. “Come, I am forgetting my manners, lets talk inside.” He said as he gently propelled her forwards with his right hand. Then he stopped. “That is unless you would prefer to stay outside?”
(OCC tell me if you want to change this, sorry for the slight Gmodding)
Taking her response for a no, they started to walk. As they were walking, DK continued. “Are you New to New York? I saw you holding the address of the Mansion, but from what you are saying, personally I don’t think you would like it there. They are the home of the X-men, who work with the government to ensure peace between mutants and humans.”
Looking at her so she could see the earnestness and flash of anger in his eyes, he continued. “Humans, I dislike them as much as you do, and with reason.”
As he was speaking his left hand subconsciously reached over to touch the bracelet on his right wrist.
He stopped as they came to the main door. He opened the door for her and gestured her inside. “Now, can I offer you anything to eat or drink? Or perhaps a place to stay the night? This is the Sanctuary, heaven for mutants.”
She did return his warm smile, though he did not think he looked the type at first, He seemed quite warm "Well i can not say i have made robbery a habit" She admitted with a laugh, he somehow put her at ease fairly quickly. She could not help but think of Donkey Kong when he mentioned being called DK by his friends. Her Distrust of Humans was deep, after being locked away for her first acadently murder, she had fallen in with a woman named Miracle, and had helped her out with several other children, each new to their powers, except for one. She tried to push this from her mind, they were all dead and nothing could be done to bring them back.
"It is a pleasure to meet you as well, DK it has been some time since i have had the privilege of being with another mutant" SHe said which was true it had been many months, since the incident that had caused her to return here.
Dragon King, had saved her, and to Aura such an act showed her one that was worthy to die defending. So when he offered to go inside with her she was only to eager to accept the invitation. Though before she could respond he repelled her forward a bit which surprised her but then he stopped and offered to let her stay outside if she wished. "No, i would enjoy going with you, if you wished me me hard you could have just watched. Any place with people such as yourself, can not be a bad place" She said, she hoped his friends were mutants as well.
"I am not quite new, i lived here until my powers emerged, upon that, i acadently killed a human girl when i punched her and formed a blade, after that i assisted a woman, who had apparently made a group of humans angry, I came back upon their deaths at the hands of those very humans. The Humans put to much faith in a race that is dyeing, My friend once told me we are natures answer to the human virus, and i tend to agree." She said as they approached the door. She walked inside looking around, she had never been in such a building before and was taken in a bit by the view of it all.
"I am rather Hungry actually, and prolbely homeless now, the landlord was not real understanding on five months of unpaid bills. So a night would be quite welcomed she said, smiling at the idea of the place. "Sounds like a place i would give my life to defend" she said looking back, at DK, she was being quite honest.

The girl seemed to relax as soon as they started talking. “Well there are only mutants here, expect for a friend of mine who saved my life a few years back, but he hates humans as much as we do so I guess he doesn’t count.”
He could see that she was taken aback by the grandness of it all, it made him smile.
“Naa, this place ain’t bad. The Sanctuary is home to the Order, we are a group who believe that we mutants are to be respected, and our demands heard, and yes that we should rule.”
“Pardon me for being direct but sounds like this is the place for you to stay for a while, and besides we could look into refining and training that power of yours! What do you say?”
Upon hearing that she was hungry, DK led her to the kitchen and motioned her to the fridge. “Help yourself, there is a washroom over there if you wanna freshen up first.” He said.
While she ate they talked, or just sat in silence. DK was enjoying this. (OCC if you want to rp the convo just let me know) he learnt that that she enjoyed manga, and things like that. He disclosed his love of drift racing, or martial arts. It was a relaxed atmosphere. Although there was still the hint of mystery about DK, his past where had he come from, his seemingly excellent and sometimes intimate knowledge of past wars and so on. But nothing that would arouse unease.
Seeing that she had finished, DK offered to wash up.
“So, you wanna chill here for a bit?” he asked gesturing to the couches and the room which had a window that let the sun shine into thte room giving it a bright and uplifting quality. “Or do you want me to show you your room so you can rest or have some down time? or I could show you around, totally up to you. I am chilled either way.”
The Sanctuary, sounded better the more she heard of it and as DK mentioned what they believed in she realized they were very much her own. She smiled at the idea of a human saving a mutant, though she kept it to herself her best comparison, was that of a loyal dog saving it's master. She happy to here their were only Mutants here, she was hoping for that. "Good, i prefer the company of my own kind and the ideals you mentioned. "I want to hone my ability as far as i can and staying at a place like this sounds great" She said nodding in agreement, it was weird it was like she had stepped into a place out of a dream, an ideal place. She had wanted to make her powers stronger, so that she would never lose another becuse of her weakness.
She walked over to the kitchen and ordered some food from the staff, before sitting down and eating. She noticed the sanctuary's, dining hall was quite large. She had thought about washing up but she was quite hungry and a good shower before bed would do just as well. She enjoyed the conversation, she had a bit of trouble relating to the racing only because she had not seen the type of racing and she had never driven before do to her age. Still she enjoyed hearing about it from DK.
"Martial arts sounds interesting, i always enjoyed fighting, ever since i was little, it was hard to run from a fight with those x-men i encountered, espehelly the preachy one, i really wanted to impale her" She recalled trying to recall the name. "Arielle i think was her name" She went on. She was curious about the place, but she also considered relaxing here. "I would enjoy seeing more of this place, if i can help you and whoever runs this place out, i will be happy" She said standing and stretching a bit.

If DK at first thought that Aura was an average person, that changed fast. She was interesting and intriguing, her experiences were in some way similar to his, she was a good listener as was he. The conversation flowed easily and naturally. On hearing that she wanted to hone her ability, Dk smiled. “Well anytime you want to practice just give me a call or knock on my door or sth, I would be more than happy to train.”
Dk had started to rant a bit about drifting, but stopped and easily changed the subject when he perceived that she could not relate to it.
“Nice to hear you have a love for martial arts, were you ever properly trained in a style, or on combat in general?” DK asked after hearing her recount her battle as he could think of a few tips that may help her get out of tight spots, ones that he had learnt over the years.
“Anyway, you wanna see more of this place, then allow me to take you on a tour.” Upon hearing her remark about helping DK responded “Oh you would be welcome here. Hold up I would prefer not carrying my blades around indoors where there is little or no chance of danger, you can see my room.” He said as he led her down the corridors. Dk stopped in front of an unoccupied room. This can be your room if you like, mine is just opposite.” Said DK gesturing to a door that had two dragons encircling a plate with “Dragonking” engraved on it.
(OCC I leave you to describe a room to your liking)
"No My parents never thought getting me martial arts training was a good idea" She said, which was true as her parents had been afraid she might hurt someone badly. Thinking on it they prolbaly were correct. "Most of my experience was learned as i went" She went on, she mostly relied on her blades. However she could see where such training could enhance her abilities, learning where to strike could be very valuable.
As they walked down the corridors, the sanctuary seemed larger inside then it did on the outside, as they stopped in front of DK's room. "That's understandable, though did you have them in here when you helped me outside?" she asked curiously. It seemed a long way to go, but he had moved at an impressive rate outside, as she recalled what he did to the car.
Upon opening the Unoccupied room she noticed a decent sized pale blue room, though it was sparsely decorated, their was a made bed against the far well as well as a dresser. This suited her fine as it had been how she lived through the last few years. "This will work out well" She said, happy the room had plenty of Space, she considered getting blocks of various types to try and cut through while she was thare.

“Hmm, fair enough, I was trained in various forms of martial arts and fighting for as long as I can remember.”
“No, actually I was in the garage working on my car and polishing my blades, that is why I had them. So that was rather fortunate.”
Upon seeing her reaction to the room, he replied “I am glad you like the room. Feel free to add to it and modify it.”
He turned to his room and opened the door. His room was laid out in a plain fashion. In the corner was the bed, made up, there was also a couch and a spare mattress or two stacked in the corner and a few sets of drawers. Next to it was a long cupboard; in the other corner was a collection of computer equipment. The wall next to that held a huge picture that spanned almost the entire wall, it depicted a desert landscape in awe inspiring beauty, it was the type of picture that made you want to stand on a high place and let loose a roar. Against that wall was a set of African drums and a few other instruments. The wall adjacent to that held various martial arts equipment and the centre of the room had been laid out like a training arena, with various markings on the floor, circles, squares, and the like. It was simple yet elegant, it did not scream “neat freak” any more than it did it scream “messy”. It also gave off that homely air.
It was towards the huge cupboard that DK went. He opened the doors to reveal various sets of armour and weapons, to one side of the cupboard there was a pile of objects covered by a cloth. It was in here that DK placed the two huge blades in their holders and then he closed the door. He spun around as he swept a hand around the room.
“Well, what do you think?”
He then led her on a tour of the cathedral, the recreational area, the library and classrooms, the infirmary, the war room, training room and the vehicle bay.
(OCC if you want to talk about stuff in any or all of the rooms just write it in and I will respond in my next post)
"All it needs is various materials for me to practice upon" She said tilting her head, maybe a bookshelf as well. These things could wait however, their seemed much to learn about this place. Looking in Dragons room, she looked over the various objects in the room. The computer equipment cought her eye, DK was a more varied person then she had thought, this became more clear as she saw the drums, finnaly her eyes moved on to the training equipment, now these she had expected but she had to admit it was more varied, then she had thought it would be.
"I Like the Blades, and weapons, My best freind used a sword" She said, "It's nice, you seem to like many different things she said. She took in the various major rooms of the facility. She liked the idea their was somwhare she could train. The library looked nice, but she was not really one for books, the infirmary would be very useful as well. "Their is so much here, like the base of an army" She said with a laugh. "I Like this allot though" She went on with a smile.

“Haha I am sure that you could get the materials easy enough.” “The blades are not the only weapons that I use.” He said smiling
Indeed he opened a cabinet and one could see a array of whips, some of rope some where the segments were made of backward pointing hooks, there were also sets of throwing weapons, and sets of gauntlets and most weapons that you could imagine and some that you could not, especially some of the odd shaped ones.
“Well at times when threats need to be carried out or when things need to happen, this place functions just like that. Exp when we carry out attacks. There was one time where we robbed Fort Knox….” DK trailed off with a smile.
As they came to the final place, the garage, DK pointed to the array of vehicles there, and his own one was a ford Doge charger, and his motorbike .
And finally he showed her one of his favourite places to hang out, the workshop. Hidden away in a corner of the garage was a smith’s forge. It was fully sticked, with furnace and anvil and such. “This is where I was working on my blades when I heard the commotion.” He said.
“Anyhow, wanna meet the guys who run this place?” DK asked. It was about the time where he should be introducing Aura to Syn and the other owners of the thrones.
"After you have met the leaders of the Order, could I interest you in some training/ sparing? Or do you want to chill/ wash/ sleep/ have some down time?"
"That is a wide selection, i do wish to learn a ranged weapon, my blades fill my close range needs, but their useless long range" She comments as she looked over the various whips and ropes and other weapons. He had alot of different weapons wondering if he could actually use them all. For some reason she believed he was prolbely skilled with each one, he did not seem the type to have a collection just for show , the Swords and what not she could emulate with her aura, but whips and the like she could not, mostly do to the range limitation she had.
As they went to the garage she did her best to memorize the path, the better she learned it the better she could perform whatever was asked of her. Her eyes scanned over the various veichels stored there. Her eye was drawn to the motorcycle though which she looked at for a few moments before progressing. She heard him mention the place could act like an army, it was strange how sometimes thinks that seemed but a fantasy were coming to light. "The place even has a forge, only time i ever seen one, is in a cartoon" She admitted.
"If your Leaders would wish to meet with one such as i, then i would be most honored" She said with a nod, she had figured this would happen, but it still made her a bit nervous, they would obviously be very important people. "I would train with you after that, im always up for a good fight, she said." Which was true. She ahd at times gone out of her way to pick a fight when one did not present itself.
An unexpected summons from Dragon King had most certainly perked Isabel's interest. There weren't too many details given in that summons aside from the information that there was a new mutant in the Sanctuary that had sparked his interest. Apparently he had thought one of the Order's leaders should meet up with this new mutant. Syn must have been busy with other matters, but Isabel didn't think meeting the second in command would put too much of a damper on whatever plans they had. Placing her cell phone back into the pocket of her pleated skirt, she emerged from her room and made her way down to the Workshop, where DK had said they would be. Their location was no huge surprise to her. That particular Order member seemed to like tinkering with this or that, and as such he tended to spend a good amount of time down in the Sanctuary's designated workplace, though she doubted that was the only area on the building that he did his work. A small wave was given to Lisa on her way by, that being the only distraction her questioning mind allowed her as she continued on her route.
As she arrived in the Workshop, it took only a brief moment to locate the two individuals that has called upon her. Dragon King was a familiar enough sight that her gaze didn't linger on him for too long. It was this new mutant she was interested in. She was young. Younger than Isabel, anyhow, that much was certain from looking at her. She was also shorter, though that could easily change with another growth spurt. A lovely shade to the eyes, and fairly average hair. There was really nothing that stood out about the young girl that would giver her away as being a mutant. However, appearances alone were not to be counted on. Isabel herself, aside from her eccentric clothing, looked like just another run of the mill young adult. Though those who knew her, or at least knew of her, would certainly say otherwise.
"Well hello there. I take it this is our newest Sanctuary member? I hope your finding our home to be to your liking. If you do plan on staying, there are a few forms you're going to have to fill out. Name, age, mutation. All that boring stuff, but it is in order to benefit everyone here," she said, greeting them both, and making sure the new girl knew that there was at least one responsibility she would have to see to once she got settled in and found a moment to visit with Lisa. "Seeing as I've been called down I take it you already know about our lovely little group, so I can spare myself the effort of trying to keep it a secret. My name's Isabel, I'm the second in command around here. Syn is currently unable to meet with you just yet, though I'll be sure to catch her up on everything," she continued, leaning a shoulder against the doorway and crossing her arms as she also offered a friendly smile to the younger girl. "Now, tell me a bit about yourself. Why do you think you'd make a good addition to our cause?"
((OOC: If there are any issues concerning how I've entered the thread, please do correct me.))
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.
Aura awaited the, higher up who had responded to DK's message, she was a bit unsure she warranted such attention, but despite her own nervousness, the only visible sign she gave was pacing a habit she had picked up when she was younger. She went over and over the possible questions she might be asked in her mind, she stopped immediately when she heard footsteps approaching them. Aura noticed the tall woman, her green eyes ran over the woman's body, she had a nice body tone to her. She liked the hair the most though, despite her odd manner of dress, Aura assumed she was the leader DK had mentioned to her. It mattered not who your boss looked like, what mattered is they survived, Guards could be replaced, despite the sadness of their loss, Leaders however were much tougher to replace.
She heard about the forms and nodded, it made sense, if you had a list of what each member in your group could do, then you could plan, and more strategicly fight ones enemies effectively. "I Understand, the forms will be done at the first chance, as i do intend to stay" She said as Isabel greeted them. SHe nodded when Isabel mentioned their little group, she knew of it's ideals. Then she was asked why she would be a good addition to the team. She closed her eyes for a second before continuing. only now she keeled, her right hand gripped her shoulder, but she looked up to Isabel, her show of respect was automatic, something that had been ingrained in her since she began.
"My Name is Rena Whilver, or Aura" She stopped for a moment and then carried on. "I would be a good addition for several reasons, our ideals match. Mutants are superior to humans, and the human infestation of this world, must be corrected. I spent the last two years learning how to use my powers in combat, as me and my friends were hunted each day, by Humans. I will admit, vengeance against humans is part of my motivation. I Can not sit here and watch the humans kill off our species, i would gladly give my life if it meant, a Mutant could step their boot on the last human corpse one day. I am very willing to kill those who threaten my team. I also Possess skills that function well in a team, i can act with little hesitation, and i was a bodyguard for two years. If you wish proof of my devotion to the cause, i will slay humans until i can build a large waterfall from their remains, using their blood as the water for the front yard, in fact i think four skulls gurgling up the blood would look rather nice. However duty comes before pleasure and so any orders come first " She offered, and was very serious upon the last part, she was not quite sure how to do it per say, but it was honest. Vengeance for the loss of her friends and victory for her race were her goals. Her excitement had distracted her a bit, and her aura flared up slightly, just into the visible range before fading away. "My Life will be the Orders to do with as you will" She concluded, confidently.
