The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Streak smiled as he continued to walk towards the little group that was gathered outside in the cold snow. Shawn was then hit with a few snow balls from Sam and some ice hands that appeared out of the ground. "Not fair your using your powers." Shawn said to Sam smiling after the assault of snow balls had stopped.
He then watched Sam run over and let Sara and Ayesac into the grounds. He was glad they were here. Shawn didn't know Ayesac very well but he was definitely glad that she had come. He greeted the rest of the people that were outside. Everyone seemed happy to be here today and thankfully no one was sad about being stuck in the mansion with out their actual family."Hi Sara." He said waving to her and Ayesac.

Leila's first impression as the couple walked inside the Grounds, was nervousness. She was a little curious though. She had never seen Mutants who looked so un-human. I mean, look at this Sara girl. Was she a... A Werecat of some sort? She smiled however, not exactly the one to be so judgemental. Especially because she could transform into a Dolphin, and that was probably as crazy as this Cat girl and red... monster.
"Merry Christmas!" she said to the new arrivals. "I'm Leila by the way, nice to meet you guys." she said, her voice cheerful and holding no trace of awkwardness. She was getting good at this, accepting Mutants, even if they seemed so... scary? Diffrent? ... She mentally shrugged, whatever. Maybe they'd become her friends. She couldn't let one small Mutation get in the way of what could be a good friendship, could she?
And Sam didn't seem to scared, actually, he seemed happy. Leila felt happy too. This was her first actual Christmas. She was glad of it, no father to make her day gloomy, nothing could bother her day. Heck, not even Blake.

Ayesac wrapped his arm around Sara as he walked into the grounds with her.. "Thank you very much for entry, my friend. " he spoke slowly, a smile growing on his face.. He had his kitten, and was in good company of friends.. what else could this dragon ask for. Some food? that be nice, but not really something that is absolutely needed.
He didn't have much to say at the moment, he really didn't know most the people here, except for those he met after his.. rather eventful evening when he apparently was caught in some turbulence caused by a passing plane.. eh.. well.. that was a little less then enjoyable.. THEEEN he decided to take a stroll, where apparently he found a place that is called a Danger Room, and got into a combat training situation in a paper gown, with a young teenage girl.. maybe 12 or 13, either way, a rather young girl and and Cold Steel.. Paper clothing in combat, does --NOT-- hold up well.. lets leave that up to the imagination..
Katrina's serene outdoor morning began to fill with people very quickly. First Leila came outside to cuddle up next to the shirtless snow shoveler. Really, Katrina wasn't sure how she could have missed a Sam shoveling topless, but she had been rather occupied with her snow angels. Soon a girl about her own age joined the group, then the silver shifter Streak appeared, playfully hurling snowballs at cetain bare chested individuals. Katrina couldn't help but laugh. Sam kind of deserved it, showing off his bare skin when others had to bundle up in triple layers.
Next, Fausto appeared, but he was up in a window, yelling down to everyone. Katrina smiled and waved back. At the gate, a lion lady and a dragon man appeared. A moment later a police car drove up and let a shivering Ghost out of the back seat. That was an interesting way to travel, but then, Ghost was full of interesting ways to travel. At least it didn't look like she was in trouble with the police or anything. The air elemental greeted everyone and told Sam to put some clothes on, but then breezed past like she had important business that required her immediate attention inside.
In fact, it looked like pretty much everyone was going to be heading inside. That was fine with the blonde teenager, for though she had not completed her snow angel posse, she had grown too cold to make any more. The wind was blowing and she had gotten snow inside of her mittens, which definitely meant it was time to go inside for the day and perhaps eat some warm breakfast. Or perhaps she would follow Ghost to see what she was so mysteriously up to after her police car ride and her barefoot journey.
The bundled up snow angel artist stomped her feet up the sidewalk to get as much snow off as she could and traipsed inside after the snow haired older girl. Katrina peeled off her layers and spread out the wet things in front of the heater to dry, then went to see if she could find where Ghost went.

(OOC: Sry if I was moving to fast on the location change also Werecat and Ayesac let me know if you were going to go somewhere else and I will adjust it)
IC: Sam waved Sara and Ayesac to follow him, “Christmas Lunch, hope you guys brought your appetite, going to be tons of food!” Sam said with a grin on his face. Not only was he excited for the food but also after the food it was present time! That being said Sam made a mental note of all the gifts he got for everyone and then nodded silently, he did have gift for everyone here today, even Katrina.
Once inside Sam wondered where ghost had gone to, she did seem to be in a hurry to get back in the mansion but then again she didn’t have a lot of warm clothing on and the police did drop her off. Shrugging Sam continued walking to the dining room where a buffet of food was set out for all the mansion residents and their guests.
“Take what ever you can eat!” said Sam Sara and Ayesac and whoever else was with them.
Of what she could feel, everything felt hot. She danced on pins and needles the whole way to the infirmary, and unfortunately it seemed a very long jog from the police cruiser that dropped her off, across the grounds, across the Mansion, and into infirmary. By the time she pushed open the doors, Ghost was panting. Each breath was hot and stabby in her lungs.
Ghost pulled the wet ball of fur from beneath her night shirt, placed her on the paper covered examination table and knelt behind it, leaving only one hand to make sure the kitten didn't jump ship while the other hand pressed against her aching lungs.
"Can you... fix kittens?" She spoke between gasps. Ghost wasn't sure what was wrong with it specifically, but her mind seemed to be especially sluggish today. DocProf stood from the chair where he may or may not have been dozing while watching the snow fall and replaced his glasses on his the end of his nose.
"Merry Christmas to you too." He approached the table and inspected Ghost's find, "I usually just fix people, but that doesn't mean I haven't helped my share of pets. What have we here?"
Ghost continued to suck in the hot air, seemingly unable to catch her breath. "A Christmas... present." She felt a hefty amount of pressure suddenly applied to her hand and Ghost looked up to see that DocProf was pinching her fingers.
"Ghost, how long were you out in the snow?"
"Uhhh..." She had to let that question trickle through her brain for a moment before any answers became evident. "A couple hours. Why?"
DocProf responded by pulling Ghost to her feet. He began to gently steer her onto the examination table when he noticed her lack of shoes. "Ghost, where are your shoes?"
"Uhhh..." The surprise in DocProf's voice made her uneasy. It was bad when you surprised the doctors right? "Up-upstairs. Next to... your present! Watch the kitty, I'll be right back!"
"Ghost!" But his admonishment was no good. She was already incorporeal and on her way to fetch a present. DocProf sighed and smoothed back his grey hairs before looking down at the pile of purring damp fur on his examination table. What was he going to do with that girl?
Ayesac had his arm over Sara and she leaned against him. Feeling his warmth against the cold in more than one way. She weighed the bag in her hand. She hadn’t known exactly what to bring gift wise so she’d settled for bringing a bag of little individually packaged baking goods. It wasn’t great, but it also allowed Her and Ayesac, to not miss anyone. Seeing as Sara had no idea who would be there.
"Hi Sara."
“Hi Silver.” Sara waved at Shawn as she followed the rest to the mansion. She took some notice of the snow angels on the ground and the ears of one, reminded her of a someone she associated with the Blue Man group. “Nice Angels.”
“Take what ever you can eat!”
Sara stepped inside the door, and wiped her feet. “you might regret those words, Slick.” Sara ran her tongue over her lower lip as the smell of the food hit her nose.

Leila fallowed the group of people inside, not exactly feeling so hungry. She didn't really know what to say either, she really only knew Sam, although she had met Shawn and Luna before, that had been a long time ago. And she hadn't really spoken to them much at the party either. She brushed the snow out of her blonde hair as they reached the inside of the Mansion, it smelt wonderful. Why hadn't she noticed that when she had first come out?
"This really smells awesome!" she said, and then Sam told them they couild eat whatever they could. Leila grinned at 'Sara's' remark. She looked at Sam still beside her, "This is going to be my best Christmas." she said, "With my real fasmily." and with that, she kissed him softly on the lips. She smiled upwards at him, and then moved back to stand beside him, leaning against him slightly.

Streak walked with the rest of the group back towards the mansion. He didn't think it was too cold but since that was the direction they were all headed that way he might as well join them. Especially because it was Christmas, he might as well spend it with his mutant friends. Streak smiled at Sam and Sara's banter back and forth about food. As they headed inside, he noticed that someone had made a few snow angles on the lawn.
The angels were different from the normal ones you normally see made by kids. Then again, most people didn't live with a bunch of mutants where they saw less than normal looking kids. Shawn smirked at the angels. He couldn't help it. They were cute and they looked kind of funny. As they entered the mansion Shawn began to wonder what they were going to eat and a little less importantly, who was cooking the meal that they were going to share with each other. He breathed in deeply and smelled the delicious food. Streak was suddenly very hungry and couldn't wait until they went into the dining room and started eating the food that was being prepared for their Christmas meal.

Walking into the mansion with the group Ayesac was glancing at the angels.. he turns towards sara giving a soft whisper "Wonder if our kids will have furr or scales.." Hopefully if one of the kids saw me when I dropped from the sky. It didn't scare them to badly, but of course it wouldn't they probably are used to that kind of thing around here" he laughed a little.. "Guys know if they fixed the fountain? Or even if it was damaged? Kinda hit it hard."
Pulling away from Sara.. "I'mma big kid, I gotta do it." Taking his trench coat off, he handed it to Sara.. "Snow Angel?.. Wonder how good this will work." he walks off in the snow, shuffling his wings around a little before flicking them out, and letting himself fall backwards into the snow. The snow was rather cold against his wings, but eh, nothing that couldn't be fixed. Shifting his weight from side to side, causing the impression of his flute wings, and his body to stick, his tail pressed down into the snow a little harder also.. He really wasn't making a typical snow angel, But rather an impression of his form in the snow.. "Little.. there... OOoh Ok I think I.. NO" he shifted his legs a little.. "time to see how it looks.." he leans forward into a seated positon, keeping his wings as stiff and straight as he could, as to damage the impression putting his hand to the side before pressing himself foward a little harder, along with his wings. This caused his weight to get some momentum. He rolled off the snow, doing a slight dive to not damge the tail area to another un-snowangled area, he hit the snow with slight white puff everywhere as he rolled, before getting to his feat. His scales on his neck, and hands had some snow packed against them - also the same for his head. With a flick of his wings, he pushed himself up - making the snow on his wings to come off also, and jumped back towards the walkway. Once he hit the walkway, he hit a patch of ice.. his foot slipped out from under him. He promptly put the other foot down in a hurry, though this one slipped too. The last resort method, "AH HELL.." The first leg that went out from under him, got pushed down hard, not to catch his balance but rather, to push himself to a jump towards the snow bank on the side of the walkway. He landed in it, with a poof of snow.. The 7'5 Red Dragon dude vanished from view.
As she was laying out her snow things to dry, people started coming inside. The blonde teen grinned at the lion girl's comment that floated in the door about the snow angels. They were a little unorthodox, she had to admit.
As soon as her wet things were off, she scurried down the hallway after where she thought Ghost had vanished. It looked like she had been heading toward the offices where the greeters, headmistresses, and the medical team set up shop. The only open doorway that morning was to the infirmary, where the DocProf was bending over something on the examination table with his back to the door.
“Uh, excuse me, but did you see Ghost?” Katrina craned her neck around, curious to see what the professor was working on. There seemed to be something small and dark colored on the examination table. It made a mewing sound.
“Oh, is that a kitten? Where did he come from? Is he sick?” Curiosity and cats went together, and Katrina had about twenty more questions as soon as those first ones were answered. It was probably best not to shoot them all off at once, though, or she'd risk some of them getting forgotten about and left unanswered.
A small girlish voice brought DocProf out of his healing meditations. “Uh, excuse me, but did you see Ghost?”
DocProf sighed. "She'll be back soon, hopefully..."[/b] One of the mansion sweethearts, Katrina, came peeking around the table just as he was finishing up with the kitten.
“Oh, is that a kitten? Where did he come from? Is he sick?”
"You'll have to ask Ghost where she came from, and apart from the lice, no she's not sick. Not anymore."[/b] DocProf stroked the small back of cold, matted fur. "She could probably use a bath as well. I'm gonna need all the hand I can get would you like to assist me, Katrina?"[/b]
Ghost did not mean to take her time, but since she was having trouble functioning properly, the result was the same. After some time had past Ghost returned in an equally fervent whoosh of air, triumphant! With plant in hand!
"Happy Christmas, DocProf!" She was happy, rosy cheeked even as she was returning to the hot world of solidity. She shivered slightly all goosebumps and Christmas cheer as she handed over the green potted plant adorned with red bow.
"Wow, thank you, Ghost. Uhh... what is it?"[/b] Doc Prof left the kitten in Katrina's care while he focused on steering the oblivious Ghost to his examination table.
"It's mint! She paused and because DocProf didn't seem to understand she elaborated, "Mint is suposed to be good for lots of different things. Tummy aches and headaches... if someone is trying to cut class you can give them a leaf to chew on and send them right back." She was beaming. The perfect gift for a school doctor. How would she up that next year? Well, that was a problem for next year.
"Ghost, you have hypothermia." She blinked at the abrupt subject change and sputtered appropriately, but DocProf was using his teacher face. Stern eyes, serious mouth, a look that was all business. He held those icy hands in his and gave her the eyeball lashing of the century.
"Oops?"
"No, ooops. Ghost, it's winter! You have to wear winter appropriate clothing and... and shoes!"[/b] The girl shrank back against the paper lined table, thoroughly scathed by the teacher's rebuttal. "You need to change into drier clothes. Katrina? Dear, could you run and get something warmer for Ghost to wear? There are some heated blankets in the hall closet, I'll get that. You stay here. Right. Here, young lady. Hear that?"[/b] Ghost nodded, quite befuddled by the doctor's sudden and severe lack of Christmas cheer.
DocProf didn't mention that a good cuddle would work too. No, the blankets would have to be enough since Garrett was gone. DocProf made his way out and back for the heated blankets waving to the group that was tromping in from the snow. The kitten would probably need to warm up right next to Ghost under the blankets. He shook his head to himself. Kids these days.
Sara’s Nose darkened when Red mentioned what their children might look like. Though a small smile formed across her face. Even though that is what she wanted, she needed to know things would be stable first.
The minute Sara had finished wiping her feet on the mat, her attention was drawn back outside. Yeah. Ayesac just had to do that. Sara couldn’t hold back the laugh when he make his snow angel… sort of, and she made herself comfortable. Leaning against the door frame with a coy smirk on her tilted head.
Ayesac disappeared in the snow bank, and Sara trotted back onto the freshly shoveled sidewalk, having almost no trouble with the ice. She leaned over the snow bank that Ayesac had disappeared into. “you know. This is why I love you.” Now… Exactly where was he?... She started digging in the powdered snow where Ayesac had disappeared.
>>>"You'll have to ask Ghost where she came from, and apart from the lice, no she's not sick. Not anymore." ... "She could probably use a bath as well. I'm gonna need all the hand I can get would you like to assist me, Katrina?"
“Sure!” The teen scampered to the cupboard of well stocked awesomeness from whence Slate had once magically procured a cup of great necessity. Sure enough, there was a small square tub in the cupboard. She put it in the sink, and began running water, testing for the perfect temperature for a kitten; warm, but not too hot.
>>>"Happy Christmas, DocProf!" Ghost exclaimed as she reappeared. Katrina waved to the pink cheeked and grinning air elemental and turned off the tap. The kitten's bath was ready. Katrina took the kitten, and DocProf took the plant set it down again, and was immediately steering Ghost toward the examination table even as she was explaining its medical properties. Note to self, thought the thirteen year old, don't come to the infirmary with a tummy ache unless you really mean it.
The kitten squirmed. It had never had a bath before, but it must have instinctively known what was coming. Once in the water, he didn't struggle. He just looked up at Katrina plaintively with big eyes and and sopping fur. The teen squirted soap into her hand and rubbed it into the fur all over his tiny body. Then used a cup of great necessity to dump water over his back and rinse him off again. Quick and relatively painless. All while DocProf explained to Ghost that she had hypothermia.
>>>“Katrina? Dear, could you run and get something warmer for Ghost to wear? There are some heated blankets in the hall closet, I'll get that. You stay here. Right. Here, young lady. Hear that?”
“Yes, sir!” Katrina scooped the kitten out of it's bath and wrapped it in two hand towels that had been under the sink. The kitten she handed to Ghost, who was sitting on the examination table. “I'll be right back!” With that, she scampered out the door and up the stairs. She didn't remember which room belonged to Ghost, so she headed for her mothers' room. Her mom was busy in the kitchen, and wouldn't have minded anyway. She dug into the dresser, and pulled out a pair of sweatpants that were still new enough to be very soft on the inside. A pair of wool socks was the second item and a pair of cotton ones to wear underneath, because who wanted scratchy wool on their feet? A thermal long sleeve shirt, of the variety someone might wear underneath things while skiing and a big cozy knitted sweater completed the outfit. The colors and textures all clashed terribly, but they were all the warmest things Katrina could find.
With the clothes in a pile, Katrina hurried back toward the infirmary. She paused halfway down the stairs, and remembered that infirmary stays were usually rather boring, and having to stay there all day by yourself on Christmas would be even more boring. She did an about face, and made a quick detour to her own room, and then was back down the stairs again. This time a library book, Artemis Fowl, sat on top of the clothing pile.
“I'm back!” announced the thirteen year old. She set the clothing down on the examination table. “I brought a book too. It's about a twelve year old criminal mastermind! It's so you won't get bored. So, where is the kitten from? How come you were outside without warm clothes?”
