The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Alex watched as the girl being held by the cloaked mutant collapsed on top of him as he fell. The man began thrashing, then suddenly vanished, reappearing at the base of the wall not three feet from where Alex was crouching. Alex squinted. The man seemed to be alright, and glancing up, Alex saw the girl walking off to join the big battles. Alex looked back at the man by the wall, who had now climbed to his feet.
"Hey. You alright?" Frowning, Alex wondered if maybe it hadn't been the best idea to attract the attention of a mutant that had obviously just got out of a fight.
(ooc still on hold with blake.) ------------------------------------ >>>I've missed you as well, Abyss. It's wonderful to see you all again.
I would have preferred to return home on a more peaceful day, so we could catch up properly, but then I wouldn’t miss this for the world. Don’t worry too much about the prying, I, Abyss, am the only one here right now other than you and I won’t pry, don’t think too hard on anything you wouldn’t want me to know and there should be no problems.
>>. Abyss? Are you alright?
Mmm, yes I am ok, I am playing possum for the most part, Tricity has the potential to put me out of this fight and the void offers us an advantage that only I can offer, so I am being a bit more tactical then usual.
>>Don't let yourself get injured too badly. I hate it when my friends get hurt.
I wont. If I can help it of course, with the way things stand right now it should be just fine. Enjoy the oasis that I can give you while I can and don’t worry about me. Pain is an old friend.
Isabel was such a pleasure , Sophistacated and femine yet so very dangerous and daring, blood lust wise ,she matched Jupiter eaisly. It was nice to see the trait in someone other than themselves.,
Abyss laid on the field and took in everything he it looked like the only real combat the x-men were offering them was a earth ellie, Jupiter was the cat over another cat playing with a mouse. Dragon king was intercepting a female. The rest of the clones were harassing the residents for the most part simply having fun and not really damaging the children, just setting them up for nightmares. --------------------------
Jupiter glanced away from the fight momentarily of the Lady leaders of the respective groups. He licked his lips hungrily at a woman that was approaching the battle with out much caution; he did it wholly to annoy the woman. But then he gave her a dismissive shrug as he noted DK picking up the slack. He was getting wary of waiting for results of the battle. With his eyes cast downward at the struggle, he twitched, soon it would be done.

"Hey your girlfriends off the grounds so why don't you join her."
Bacchus was so grossed out by feeling the bone crack he forgot where Isabel was, trying his head he saw one of the big reds take her into some kinda hole thing, long story short they were gone and out of sight. Turning back to the silver fly Bacchus dropped the hose, which continued to spray out across the grounds.
Looking around Bacchus shrugged other than Isabel there weren’t to many others that Bacchus would go out of his way and save, he did after all have orders to take care of the doors. Those if he remembered were sitting in a truck somewhere or on a truck somewhere. ‘Probably should go find those…’ thought Bacchus as he saw the silver fly come in for his throat.
Turning his body and trying to swat the on coming fly Bacchus then began to walk off the mansion grounds, “Later mate, it was fun!” casually walking off to the walls Bacchus nodded in satisfaction for he not only had the doors but he broke the leg of the silver fly which attacked his Isabel!

As Streak flew through the air towards the giants neck he was easily swatted away. The pain in his leg was almost to much for him to continue fighting. In a weird way he was a little glad that he had hit him because now the giant was walking away from the battle field. Shawn fell to the ground with a loud "Omf'" That wasn't his last fall though. He tumbled across the ground hitting many times. Unfortunately some of those times were on his already broken leg. Finally after tumbling about thirty feet He slid to a stop. Resting on the ground for a minute he tried to close his grasp around the sword. It wasn't in his hand. Streak looked around. Where is it. Where'd it go? He wondered The pain in his leg was excruciating now and he looked down at it. The leg was on the ground side and had lots of dirt on the wound. As quickly as he could manage he rolled over to get the pressure off that leg and began to gently brush away some of the dirt from around his wound.
He then tried to get up. It was a difficult task because he couldn't put any weight on his bad leg. Streak was able to get his good leg under him while bracing himself with his hands. As he finally stood up on his one good leg he began to slowly drag himself towards the doors of the mansion. It was going to take him a while because he obviously couldn't walk right. His leg had started to heal up and stopped bleeding on the outside; that was until he went rolling thirty feet. His wound was back open again and bleeding quite freely. He didn't have time to focus on it; however, because the battle was still going on . He wasn't sure Ghost could win her fight against the order member. Mainly because he'd never seen what this guy standing in front of her could do and Tricity was no better off. In his current state he wasn't sure if he could even fight anyone else but he was going to try. Limping, he very slowly made his way closer to Ghost.

Seraph was racking his brain on what to do next. Fortunately his opponent made the decision for him by attacking him with a curved blade of air. Naturally, the pyromancer used his wings to lift himself up out of harms way causing the attack to narrowly miss him.
Staying aloft for his next attack, Seraph tried to create some ribbons of flame that would writhe like live snakes headed towards the air elemental. Key word, tried. Unknowingly, the angelic mutant triggered the bubble of oxygen that Zephyr had so cleverly placed infront of him before his dodge.
The resulting combustion knocked Seraph from the air, granting him a nice landing on his stomach on the hard earth. The fall knocked the air from his lungs so he had to labor with breathing.
As he lay there, Seraph began to slip into unconsciousness. This caused his wings to recede and go back into his body. His state of unawareness with his mind helped him ignore the pain as his bones broke and reformed. His last last coherent thought was, Well, I had a tumble with the ground. But at least I can out on top.
OOC: I would appreciate getting to the infimary but I understand if I don't since everyone is rather busy and Seraph is a rather large individual to carry.
The tide had turned once again in Syn’s favor. She had the X-Men leader by the throat quite literally. Tricity’s eyes looked as if they were having trouble trying to focus after hitting her head, and now with the pressure from Syn’s grip it was surely getting worse. “I plan to take back what’s mine and leave you and your precious X-Men with a grim reminder that we are a force to be reckoned with. Do not get in our way or you will be plowed under along with anyone else. We will bring mutantkind to the top of the food chain and make this world ours.”
Everything else around Syn was essentially blocked out. All of her attention was on Tricity. That was when she noticed a slight alkaline taste in her mouth. She felt the static charge forming around her. There was no idea what Tricity was going to try to do but, whatever it was it would have nothing but a bad effect. Syn slightly increased her crushing grip on the other woman’s air way. “If I were you I wouldn’t try anything shocking. Muscles tend to tense up rather uncontrollably when electricity is sent through them. I can’t guarantee you’ll have a head attached to your neck if you release your charge. Call your X-Men back. Make them return inside your mansion.”
A single sculpted brow rose above the mercenary’s azure eyes as he tracked his opponents’ abrupt ascension through the air, soaring well above the limited range of the lancing wind below which continued to cleave a trail through the frozen earth before rapidly dissipating a few meters beyond its intended target. ‘Some people never learn.’ The weary yet apathetic thought coursed through the air elementals mind as he resisted the urge to shake his head; hadn’t he already caused his adversary to come crashing down to earth once before? What did the man hope to achieve by repeating his performance? He’d gained a momentary respite yes but it wouldn’t last longer than a few seconds at best. Already the Kabal member was turning his attention to the motes of air beneath the ivory wings, grasping them with his thoughts as he prepared to once more deprive his foe of the gift of flight.
‘Down you go.’
Life is full of uncertainty; this is an intrinsic truth that many people have heard but few will accept, this is due mainly to the fact that uncertainty provokes a degree of fear in most minds and generally such fear is dealt with in one of two ways; either the individual concerned will attempt to control all aspects of their life thereby removing the uncertain element or, as is most common, the being in question realizes their limitation and adapts to a new situation as best they can, consequently, when Zephyr noticed a series of flaming ribbons flare into life around his opponent the merc swiftly abandoned his intended course of action and rapidly transferred his energies towards manipulating the globe of oxygen he had conjured during the beginning of the bout, quickly grasping the sphere with his thoughts and hurling it towards his seraphic challenger so as to maximize the inevitable combustion.
Despite the speed with which the elemental acted however his winged adversary proved to be faster still; managing to propel fiery streams away from his body and towards his target before they collided with orb of oxygen setting off an age old chemical reaction which released an untold multitude of new gaseous particles into the air, resulting in an indiscernible concussive burst which traversed the nearby space at the speed of sound and struck the aerial fire elemental with sufficient force to once more knock him from the sky and impact the earth with little to no grace before blacking out. As for a certain Kabal member he was no less immune to the force of the blast, for although he possessed a degree of control over the air around him such manipulation took time and the blast had been instantaneous, fortuitously however the mercenary had kept a sufficient distance from explosion that although he was knocked from his feet he was still able to maintain consciousness.
Once the dust had settled though and Zephyr had regained his bearings and his feet the elementals attention was swiftly transferred to his opponent, assuring himself that the man truly was out of the battle before raising his hands and brushing the excess dirt from his apparel as he surveyed the current situation. The number of combatants on both sides appeared to have dwindled significantly leaving only a few stragglers, among them the so called heads of each faction who were engaged in what some might call a lethal confrontation but in Simon’s eyes was little more than a cat fight. Still it appeared that Syn possessed the upper hand so there was little cause for him to intervene, even if things should happen to run foul the hubristic harridan appeared to have ample support in the form or an all too familiar crimson juggernaut. All in all it seems that this farce of an assault was about to reach a rather anticlimactic conclusion and Zephyr for one felt no desire to present for the finale; he’d done what he’d been paid to do and had no intention of going above and beyond the call of duty for a group he was only tentatively aligned with and possessed a leader whom he loathed. There was also the added the fact that he had been quite fortunate thus far in that Katrina had failed to make an appearance, most likely the gamine had been herded to a more secure shelter along with the rest of the children, Simon had no wish to try and explain his actions here today to a prepubescent girl who was still all too likely enamored with idealistic interpretations of good and evil, the sooner he could depart from here the better.
Cafas: "Zephyr is the king of bad decisions, but if Sebby being weak to ghost is anything to go by, not so amazing at follow through."
Tricity gripped Syn's arm with her hands in an attempt to relieve some of the pressure. Her opponent had a point though.. If the electric charge did fire out through Syn's body, the woman's muscles could tense up and crush Tricity's airway even more.
Her vision was slipping. She wanted to bring her leg around and free herself of the steadfast grip, but it seemed Syn was suddenly letting sense come back to her. Tricity pulled in a deep breath. "Sounds... like you're... using your brain.. for once." She smirked and shifted her weight, causing the grip to loosen slightly. Tricity quickly took in another gratifying breath.
"Take... your goddamn... doors. Do... you think we... would be so stupid as... to take those... gaudy looking... things?" Tricity shifted with all her might, turning her body to the side, and relieving more of the pressure on her throat. "Use your head... I wouldn't ever put these... children, residents, or... my team in such... a senseless fight. I think... you and I should... talk."
It seemed her words were reaching Syn. Tricity felt herself beginning to relax more and the swirling charge that had been building inside herself was dissipating. Was that pressure being removed from her lungs?
Syn listened to Tricity's words in between her gasps for life giving air. The woman was smart enough to not use her electricity as Syn had warned. Though admittedly that was a slight disappointment. The thought of Tricity inadvertently killing herself provided a twisted feeling of pleasure. What better way to dispose of your enemy then to let them end their own life. Sadly this was not to be.
Tricity maneuvered herself to allow her the ability to breath easier. Syn allowed this but kept her hand on her prey's throat. The vibrations eminating from Tricity's voice passed through Syn's hand. "You know I don't trust you or your team. This might have been an attempt to gauge our strength's and weaknesses for all I know." Syn looked deep into Tricity's eyes and found no sense of falsehood. "Still, I think you truely would avoid a direct fight with us."
Letting go of her rival and backing off Syn stood up. "If you wish to talk then meet me in Central Park in two days. Come alone and we'll talk. Bring anyone with you and we will finish this fight just you and I." Syn turned and began to walk away. As she made her way across the battlefield she called out. "Retrieve the doors and let us return to our home!"
((OOC: Order members may post an exit if desired. Otherwise everyone is now leaving the mansion grounds.))
Tricity stood as Syn walked away, grasping her sore throat while taking in slow and steadier breaths. She took in the woman's words and shook her head in annoyance. 'Still looking to fight her own kind.' They really needed to figure out who was looking to cause the two factions to fight.
The Headmistress looked around and saw the Order members begin to back down. This fight could've ended ugly. The thought of those mutants inside the mansion gave her a new surge of anger. Tricity gave her neck a slight crack and felt the ever present surge of electricity spread evenly and normally throughout her body. She was thankful there was some will to hold that brewing power at bay. If that surge had released, no telling what would've happened...
Tricity gave a nod to the remaining X-Men on the field. "Everyone to the infirmary and I mean everyone. You all did an amazing job tonight. I'll need a few to remain on guard if your injuries aren't serious just in case." She began the walk back to the mansion with the others following in step.
