The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Streak held on to Sam tightly as he was whisked to only Sam knew where. His eyes began to dry out as they were pushed along on the icy slide to Times Square. Once they landed Streak covered himself in silver and looked around. What the hell is going on? he wondered as he saw the scene in front of him. Streak saw Sara was there as well as another woman he'd only seen at the camps and never met before. The heat was definately intense when they first arrived and wasn't getting any cooler.
As soon as Streak had his silver up the man, who appeared to be covered in flames, shot a pillar of fire his way. He dodged out of the way and said, "Who is this guy and what'd we do to piss him off?" He got back up and made his way over to Sara. Streak formed a shield that was as wide as him and just about the same size as him so that he wouldn't have to keep diving out of the way of the flamethrower's columns of fire. "Kay, anyone got ideas."

Sam was now almost done catching up until he saw the man on flames. Adrenaline kicked in and his breath was caught instantly. His heart rate started to quicken as he started to get excited, Sam didn’t know why but he was for some reason to see the man enveloped in flames. Maybe it was his ego? Or the test of power that would come with it? Sam didn’t know but he wanted to find out!
"Sam!" "A little help? I need to get closer!"
Sam turned his head in a quick jerk as he noticed Lee was here looking worried. ‘Closer why?’ thought Sam but the look in her eyes said it all, “Tarin? Holy hell man thought your power was merging?” Sam nodded trying to comfort Lee a large smile was on his face as he gave the thumbs up, yeah it was super lame but at that moment he thought it was the best way to put her at ease.
“How about you, Slick.” “I’m up for a little air conditioning.”
Sam gave a little smirk as Sara had her usual personality in such an intense situation. “You’ll heal so what you whining for?” Said Sam teasingly.
Sam’s body covered in ice as goose bumps enveloped his body as he noticed Neena running to a fire hydrant that was most likely melted by now. Sam also noticed as Streak ‘silvered up’ and ran towards Sara as he was dodging fire pillars. Sam smiled as he focused his powers in his hands and jumped into the air one of the hands creating a slide for him as the other attacked the bases of the oncoming pillars.
Sam felt a certain level of excitement as the oncoming pillar was cancelled out by his power giving a loud hissing sound as it released a large amount of steam. Sam headed towards the flaming Tarin shooting ice beams out of his one hand as he called to Lee, “How do you stop him when he is like this?”

The ants were uniting. That was the problem with ants, when they worked together they could accomplish things that seemed almost impossible. It seemed they were slightly more than ants as well, he noticed as they began to reveal their special talents. One seemed metalloid, the other, the one who'd originally attacked, was completely feline in nature. Another seemed to have ice at his command. That was a problem.
All attention was focused on that one now as he made his way towards him and pestered him with ice similar to the pillars of fire he was sending at the others. The others. They would have to wait, the air was still hot enough, and the fire on the stage would keep burning.
To the ice surfer he turned, a broad grin stretching across his gaunt features. Then it was released, the fire flew towards the ice man. His body was exposed, but it was a calculated risk. The fire was hot, white hot. Seeing if the man could handle it would be a bit of a treat.
The fireball lingered and he turned back to the others, arms outstretched by his side, he scanned the assembled group. There she was again. The being knew there was something about her, and though he refused to admit it, his strength was starting to wane. That woman...
Lee...Lee was there. Tarin noticed, even though he didn't know how he was seeing anything. Helpless, he felt the beings ire at her very existence, and even more at her presence there in the fray. This was it, her connection to him was finally going to get her killed, he knew it and felt it in every fibre of this being. There was nothing to fight with.
He was becoming exhausted. His initial exuberance at existence had used too much energy. He was going to have to conserve now, and while his previous goal had been making his mark. It now became to bring those who were fighting him down right along side him.
"Come on then! END ME!" he screamed, the flames flaring up again as he prepared for a fight to the end.
OOC- You guys are wearing him out! Feel free to start landing some hits...seizure...whenever it's your turn, do your thing if the time is right. If not, we can keep going like this for a while! FUN TIMES! Thanks guys. :-D
The flames kept waning momentarily, but never enough. Not enough for her to get closer, not enough for Lee to even hope that. The area around the figure Tarin had merged into was still far too hot. As it was, Lee wasn't sure whether she was quite getting burnt or not where she stood; it was certainly hot, not at all comfortable on her skin, but she knew she couldn't back up too much from where she was or she wouldn't have the chance to make her move, to get in and siphon when the opportunity arose. And Lee knew she had to take that opportunity the moment it did come up.
And then there was Sam, who simply gave her a smile and a thumbs up after she asked for his help with the heat. A thumbs up? Really? What the hell was Sam playing at? They didn't have time for him to be giving her a thumbs up like that. Tarin was up there, Tarin was merged, and was in the process of destroying Times Square and trying to kill them.
And yet, Lee didn't feel any cooling effect start. At least not until she saw Steel coming closer to her, sliding along on some sort of ice bridge thing. Getting closer until he asked how to stop Tarin when he was like this.
"I need to get closer," Lee called back, keeping her eyes on the merged being, watching for any flames shooting her way. "To siphon." At least she hoped that would work this time. She really had no way of knowing for sure, since she had only seen a full on merge two other times. That first time, well neither of them were fully sure how it had ended, Lee had been passed out with a concussion at that time, and the second one she had been the person Tarin had merged with. At least her siphoning from him had worked to end all the merges with spirits. Lee could only hope that it would work again now. If she could get close enough to actually touch him without the heat and fire killing her.
"Who is this guy and what'd we do to piss him off?"
“He’s Tarin, and he’s just a little out of control.” Sara said. Right before she dodged, sideways, to avoid the pillar of flames headed for Streak, that would have just hit her by proxy. She escaped the flames with a burn to her left shoulder, that made her teeth grit tight, as she tried to stifle and stop from crying out. Once in the clear, Sara ducked behind Streak’s shield, thankful for the chance at a breather. How long had she been dodging that thing anyways?
Scanning the rest of the people, while catching her breath (Sara was actually winded.) She caught sight of Sam’s thumbs up. She just sort of blinked at Sam. And how was that supposed to help things? Ok so Sara was giving sarcastic remarks, but really. “What do you think you are, Slick? Some dorky anima character?” Sara imitated his thumbs up, moving her right hand away from her healing shoulder long enough to imitate his thumbs up and stupid smile before dropping the look, and scowling at him.
“You’ll heal so what you whining for?”
“Healing hurts! Besides. You have no idea what fur feels like when it’s hot and bunching in all the wrong areas.” Sam’s ice beam connected with the fire, and Sara felt relief, right before the pillar of white hot flames shot out. She wasn’t even nearly as close as she had been to the last one, the one that tagged her shoulder, and she still felt a wave of heat over her body, making her fur ripple against her body.
“How do you stop him when he is like this?”
"I need to get closer, To siphon."
Sara was still healing from the burn, her skin had actually bubbled under the fur and was looking quite grose, though the bubbles were evening out as fast as they had appeared. So her voice was stiff when she tapped Streak on the shoulder. “Cant you shield Lee while she gets closer?”
It was quite the party, Garrett decided once he rounded the corner. Burning stage, burning man. Lots of things on fire. Before him was a collection of people he knew. Neena, Sam, Streak, and Lee? So this is where she ran off to. It was a logical step in deduction to wonder where Tarin was then. There was also a cat girl, but not like Nika. This one was more cat than girl. the whole scene seemed surreal, as if it were a situation dreamed up in the Danger Room. This danger was quite real, as he could feel the heat from where he stood.
Garrett surveyed the scene. Listening to his friends shouting above what seemed to be pillars of fire as they roared around the area, Garrett quickly caught on that the flaming man was Tarin. People were watching from the sidelines, as close as the heat would allow. Judging from the looks on their faces, this could easily become a bad scene for human/mutant relations. Capitalizing on his general human look, Garrett started moving through the crowds and working his way around the scene to the back of it, so he could find a way to get in closer without detection. His abilities worked best when used as an ambush tactic.
Pushing his way around to behind the burning stage, he found that many were doing their best to contain the blaze, using personal and commercial fire extinguishers. It surely wouldn't be long before the fire department and police arrived. he imagined it was only the sheer volume of people and cars blocking the street were the only real obstacles at the moment. Someone offered him a small fire extinguisher and he set to hitting some smaller fires, working his way in to Tarin's back.
He pretended not to hear the calls of others not to go in closer. He had to shut Tarin down soon. Sam was using his powers and it was a blessing he was there. The cat girl and Streak were causing a major distraction, keeping Tarin occupied. Lee probably was as well, in an emotional manner, though that could backfire as her proximity to the flames could be disastrous. Garrett moved toward a part of the former stage that was mostly just smoldering and got on his knees, placing the extinguisher next to him, just in case.
He was glad that he had the foresight to map Lee and Tarin while working there. It seemed more than a simple precaution, having so many mutants near each other. Either way, he was glad to have it. He started to see the sketch, though it was somehow masked. It seemed to be veiled inside something or as if it was in some kind of haze. It was definitely not clear as it would be normally, but normally Tarin wouldn't be on fire and screaming in another voice.
Garrett concentrated on specific joints and key nerve ganglia as he had done before with Calley on the Mansion grounds. Feeling he had the element of surprise, he worked the areas slowly and intently, as Tarin seemed to be distracted by the others. Having the 'haze' over his nerves, Garrett was already feeling a bit off, as he could not make the progress he would have normally. Also, the recent feedback loop was causing a slow humming throb of nausea and a burning sensation in his body. He knew , though, that he had to do whatever he could to save the people around watching, his friends, and Tarin.

Streak looked around as Sara tapped his shoulder. Her question was simple and it made a lot of sense. He didn't know what Lee was capable of; however, if Sara thought that she would help by being closer that was good enough for Streak. "I can try to get her closer. But I'm not making any promises.
He stood up from his spot and waited for another blast of fire to come at him. When none did he ran over to where Lee was hiding. There was so time for introductions or conversation at the moment. The only thing that Streak seemed to have time to say was, "Get behind me. I'm gonna gettcha closer to him." His shield was held in front, protecting himself and Lee from any retribution that the fiery Tarin would try to deal them.
Streak didn't wait for her to answer him. As soon as he finished explaining what to do he started to slowly walk forward towards Tarin. He paused to look back to make sure that she was following him. He didn't want to leave to much, if any, space between himself and her. It would only provide a bigger target for Tarin to hit if they weren't close as the walked towards him.

Sam continued shooting beams at the fire mancing Tarin as he noticed that the flames seemed to be less like an inferno and more… well less hot. Sam continued to circle as he edged away from Lee and closer to Were, he zoomed around her as she spoke and something caught Sam’s attention on her back… there were numbers on her right on her shoulder, 623… a flash back hit Sam immediately the pain coursed through him as he was remembering the pain he got when the needles touched his skin that forever branded him as number 602… ‘I’ll need tot talk with her later…’
Sam mind jumped back to the fight as he saw Streak run to Lee and form a shield. ‘Guess it’s now or never,’ thought Sam to himself as he was sliding his way back to Lee and Streak. Sam had a feeling if this was indication of the team work the two of them would have in the future it was looking good. Sam skated pass Streak and Lee and headed towards the stage as he jumped from the slide and tackled the fiery Tarin. Sam felt the heat building around his front as he grabbed hold of Tarin and lowered the temperature around him trying to cancel out the heat that Tarin’s fire was giving off. Sam felt the ice armor that had always protected him begin to melt the heat was immense Sam didn’t realize what was happening up until his chest and his arms started to burn. Sam let out a gasp and a painful scream as he lowered the temperature more as ice formed back on his body as it met with the fire and caused some steam.
‘What are you doing?’ echoed the voices in Sam’s head, “Hurry up….LEE!!” called out Sam as he was struggling to hold the fire mancer down. ‘Why don’t you just kill him it would be so much easier, you would be safe and so would every one else,’ chimed the voices, ‘cause that’s not how we do things, were the good guys’ spat back Sam, he was disgusted that the thought would even cross the his mind at killing Tarin it wasn’t his fault he couldn’t control this. ‘Go protect Lee and Streak once they get close enough, I’ll be okay.’
Sam continued to hold on to the fire mancer as he felt him self-losing the power to hold on to him, he was so hot. Sam felt the presences of his seven ice golems out over a distance waiting to escort Streak and Lee protecting him from Tarin if Sam wasn’t enough to hold him. He felt his concentration dwindle as he was focusing on the movements of hi minions, but it wasn’t enough for him to let go of the bare hug. Sam yelled out, “HURRY UP!!” it was straining trying to hold Tarin, ‘Maybe the minions were right, at this rate I’ll catch fire…’
(OOC: any one who comes close to the stage can Gmod the minions to a certain extent, if your not sure what they can do don't hesitate to ask)

His strength was definitely waning, the fire was not as hot and the being began to question his initial belief that he was aindeed some kind of god come to earth to punish the ants. But then why was he here? Why had he just winked into existence as he had?
They were closing on him now, the cold blasts getting closer and closer to his body as a man of metal advance with the woman that woman. The being stared again, then it hit him. There was something strange flowing through his body, something that felt like it was moving through his very nerves.
The being jerked its attention from the woman, he'd deal with her later, scanning the crowd for the one causing the new sensation. The cold was growing colder though, and then he was hit.
The ice was suddenly there and the being survival instinct flared, his body heat rising to an incredible level as he was trapped in the bear hug. His fire powers may have been considerable, but his physical strength was most definitely lacking. The man held him easily.
The man was burning and the being tried to flare up again, but he knew he didn't get as hot this time. The heat flared again, but cooler again. It was going to end, he was going to be incapacitated...but he was fire. He would rise again like a phoenix from the ashes.
The man held him and the being struggled, he might be down, but he'd keep fighting 'til the last.
Lee was kind of hiding, kind of moving forward and backward, closer and further away from Tarin as the heat increased and decreased. She really wasn't making much process, the fires were far too hot for her to get close enough for her siphoning to be able to do anything.
And then there was a silvery looking guy standing there beside her all of a sudden, telling her to get behind him, that he'd get her closer to Tarin. Lee wasn't entirely sure how this guy was going to do that, but the fact of the matter was that he did look to be made of silver; maybe he wasn't effected by heat the same way flesh was.
The problem with that whole plan of following this guy to get closer to Tarin was the fact that Lee was so close to the silver guy to be able to do that; she was so close and siphoning as much as possible, not a good combination when this guy was trying to help her. So, though Lee was going to need her siphoning when she got closer to Tarin, Lee cut it back; it certainly wouldn't help things to have this guy pass out on her just before they reached Tarin.
Slowly, she started forward behind the guy. At least he was taller than her, and carrying some sort of shield that looked to be made of the same stuff as he was, so he was easily able to block her from everything coming from in front of them. However, that didn't stop the heat from coming in from the sides, or behind them.
And then Lee heard a voice, a male voice, coming from in front of them. Despite the sound of the fire, and everything else, Lee knew that it wasn't Tarin's voice, but it was still familiar. Sam's maybe? It didn't really matter, what was being said was more important that who was saying it, telling her to hurry up.
Closer and closer they got to the stage that the merged form had been standing on, though Lee couldn't see it now that she was behind this silver man. She knew that they were getting closer, though, because with each step it grew warmer and hotter, harder and harder to breath because of the heat.
Finally, she shook her head. She couldn't do it, she couldn't get closer even with this guy's help, even with Sam there trying to help. She just couldn't, it was too hot. She'd probably be dead already if it wasn't for their help.
Tears of frustration mingled with the stinging tears the sweat running into her eyes caused, running down her cheeks as she shook her head again and reached out to touch the man's shoulder in front of her.
Streak followed Sara’s instructions, to get Lee closer. Sam circled around her, as he cooled the area, and Sara thought she saw him look at her shoulder. Now wasn’t the time for thoughts of vanity, but the numbers that were branded there… Focus, and think about that later. Sara demanded herself.
As it was, Sara’s head ached. The wave of heat that hit her when Streak followed her command wasn’t pleasant, and while there was a wave of cooler air behind Sara, thanks to Sam’s ice ramp, the air felt thick, and harder to suck in. let alone harder to get an adequate amount of oxygen in three gulps. She followed Sam’s circular movement, stumbling sideways, and realizing for the first time that she was dizzy. Her vision blurred and she blinked hard. Though this only caused two hard pounds from the inside of her head. Her weight shifted, and she sidestepped again, to keep on her feet. NO she WASN’T going DOWN! At least now that Sara wasn’t playing the distraction, she was free to play another game.
She turned the side step into a run as Sam came back around to the front of Tarin, Sara passed the stage. Ducking inside the building behind the stage, just in time to see Sam tackle Tarin, in a bear hug. The outside of the building had been made too hot and structurally unsound for Sara to clime, So she was stuck with the stairs, taking them four at a time till she reached the fifth floor, where she found one of those fire hoses with the grey outside and the glass case that you break in the case of an emergency.
Pffft! Emergencies…
Sara wasted no time is smashing the glass turning the water on, and dragging the hose to the nearest window. From this vantage point she was standing on hot brick. The window had been busted by falling debris and, while Sara should take heed in this visual warning, it was the closest window she could get to the scene, which would allow her to water down the area from above.
Sara directed the hose, towards the stage, where Sam could be scene still clinging to the monster Tarin had become. There was steam, and smoke, and Sara could hardly breath, so or hear, but neither of the two looked good. Lee and Streak had seemed to slow, or halt, or what ever was happening. Stupid smoke, and oh something smelled like meat. The not so good smelling meat. Sara Tried to Douse Train and Sam in water, but after a few seconds of holding the hose, she moved it so that it was starting to make a path for streak and Lee. Please let this help.
The brick work under Sara’s feet crumbled and she back peddled to keep herself on firm ground. Again, she felt her head pound, her vision blurred, and she squeezed her eyes, shut, to blink again. Trying to hold the hose steady, so the water would be on course, as her free hand grabbed the wall, next to her for support.
Dehydration, added with healing her burns, was finally catching up.
The sketching of Tarin's neural system complete, Garrett stood, seeing with his normal vision that Sam had him in a bear hug. It was a logical decision, but it had to hurt Sam on some level. Whatever was left of the volunteer brigade had dwindled once the fire had intensified around the stage. Garrett saw that he was now basically trapped. Burning rubble or burning man. He at least had a fighting chance against Tarin's new incarnation. He was doubtful that burning wood had much in the way of nervous activity, outside of searing nerves.
The smoke was getting thick, a mix of wood and flesh, which made for a hideous combination. Garrett got down lower, to stay under the smoke, keeping his attention in line with the haze of Tarin's neural paths, which only became hazier with the tears stinging his eyes. He could hear water, and feel it here and there, streaming from somewhere above. The Fire Department here already? He couldn't see officers, so the cops must not be in here yet. It was now or never.
Garrett pulled the pin on the extinguisher and held it in his left hand, charging up the pain knives in his right. He had used the attack with a moving target but had never done the moving himself. One couldn't ask for a more demanding situation. He started moving deliberately, keeping his head down and the extinguisher ready. He could begin to see the pain in Sam's eyes as the fire began to push through his ice armor. He could vaguely see the others, but the smoke was getting worse. His left hand rotated at the wrist as he could feel the energy built up to the breaking point. Better out than in.
He sent the first knife sailing into Tarin's lower back, then linked up to his knees and ankles. His hand continued to pop forward, similar to the way a stage illusionist pops their hand to release playing cards. The left hand worked to begin firing clouds of carbon dioxide to the area behind Tarin where Garrett was going to put himself. He slid to his knees behind Tarin, dropping the extinguisher to his left , which would be the others' right, if they could see it roll. From his kneeling position, Garrett reached up and put one hand on Tarin's backbone, the left hand between Tarin's shoulder blades, one hand one either side of Sam's arms. Ignoring the searing pain of the flames, he pushed himself in a way to make a sort of current, an electric energy current of nervous messages, interrupted or scrambled at the motor function and "using head" departments.

The fire was still coming, but cooler and cooler each time he managed to make it flare up. It was ridiculous that something so small could bring about the demise of something so spectacular. It seemed that was to be his fate though. The arms wrapped around him, pinning him to the ground were relentless and he wasn't going anywhere. The feeling was still there too, coursing through his veins. That wasn't improving either.
The sensation changed now and there was pain. It started in his back, then spread lower, his legs tensing up against the invisible assailant who was causing so much discomfort. The flames flared up once more, as hot as he could manage, which was nowhere near the initial starting point and then there were more hands.
The hands touched and simultaneously the pain increased tenfold. The being's world exploded and in its place were only broken pieces of consciousness as everything disappeared.
This merged had lasted a long time, Tarin thought in that place he was never sure really existed after a merge ended. That could only mean one thing, that whoever it was trying to stop him from whatever it was he was doing was failing. Lee was there, and he could do little but hope and pray that whatever was happening she was okay.
It was so easy to give in like this, so easy to let the baser instincts that ruled him during a merge take over, that when the pain surged though what could only be his body, Tarin was more unprepared for it than he could have possibly imagined.
Suddenly where no feeling and no control had existed, the feeling coursed back in a rush of what could only be described as jaw clenching, muscle locking pain. Suddenly, the sounds escaping his body were completely his own.
Those hands were on his body and if he'd been able to control the movement of his limbs, Tarin would have been grateful for the fact that he was obviously back to himself...at least in the physical realm.
His lower back and legs were twitching wit the pain that was still moving through them, and the commands he was sending his arms and upper body were ending in nothing but feeble twitches. The pain was bad...and there was smoke, so much smoke that he could hardly breathe.
He couldn't think, his mind was scrambled, like someone was playing with the on and off switch and the world was blurred. Eyes rolling back in a head that once again belonged to Tarin Brooks, he gave over to the feelings, glad for nothing more than hopefully the end of this conflict.
OOC - Merge successfully neutralized. Nicely done guys! The other dude is laying a few feet away completely dazed and confused. Don't quite know how to deal with that one. Seiz...I hope I portrayed things correctly enough...if not, drop me a PM and I'll fix whatever needs fixing.
As far as where to go from here, I'm the unconscious one, sooooo. Whatever ya think.

Sam sighed in relief once he saw Garret step in from out of nowhere, after seeing Tarin and some random guy and no faming monster he said, “Owe you one man…” Sam tried to stand which was a really bad idea on his part, seeing as how burns covered the front of the body where he hugged the fire mancer. “First time I ever got burned…God this hurts….” Sam tried to stand a second time only after covering the burns in ice trying to cancel out the screaming sensation that his body was giving.
Sam looked around at the mess and decided it was best to get the hell up out of there before any thing like police came, that wasn’t the publicity the mansion would need. Sam started to take deep breaths as a dense fogged poured from his mouth and began to cover the stage. “Think it’s best we get out of here…” yelled Sam to everyone that was close enough to hear. Sam created two minions large enough to carry people with no problem and sent one for Tarin and the other for himself.
After hoping on the minions back Sam motioned forward as the two minions carrying the injured mutants towards the location where Lee and Streak were. “Lee I got Tarin and I am taking him to the mansion if you want to come hop on.” He then looked to streak in the dense fog and said, “I’ll see you back at the mansion make sure you take Neena with you!”
Lee hadn't been able to do anything to help Tarin. Even with Sam's help, and the help that he had brought with him, even with Sara who had been there when she had arrived...Even with all that help, Lee had been able to do nothing to stop the merge, all because she couldn't get close enough because of the heat. And now, because she had called for help, they were all potentially going to die. All because she couldn't do what Tarin had told her to do from the very start if he merged: run away.
From the very first time that Tarin had told her about the possibility of a merge, and what that meant, because of how their powers had interacted that first time they meet, Tarin had told her to run away and get to safety if there was even the chance of a merge happening. But once again, Lee had run headlong into the danger, this time even going so far as to bring others with her. And even now that she knew without a doubt that she couldn't help Tarin, knew because she couldn't even get close enough to siphon from him, she wasn't going to run away.
Was she really as stupid as Rupert seemed to think she was?
And was it getting cooler? Well, maybe not cooler, but less intensely hot? Lee really wasn't sure; it was still so hot that it was hard to tell, plus she was probably burnt a lot more than she consciously realized at that point in time, making it feel even hotter to her.
But she hadn't noticed any streams of flames shooting out recently, and she thought it was feeling a little cooler. Did that mean...somehow?
Knowing that it was incredibly stupid and could even potentially be the last thing she did, Lee peeked around the man in front of her toward the stage. It was still on fire, that was a definite, but Sam was there, struggling to stand up as he stood beside a body laying there...
Even through the smoke, Lee recognized that colourful hair. Recognized it because she was the one who had picked the colours out and who had put the dye into Tarin's hair. Tarin's hair, which definitely had not been visible in the merged form he had previously been in. That could mean only one thing.
Not caring who or how the merge had ended, not even really caring that the stage was still burning and smoldering, Lee dodged around the silver man standing in front of her and ran forward. As she reached Tarin's side, coughing and wheezing slightly from the smoke, Lee dropped to her knees just in time to hear Sam speak.
Looking up, Lee noticed Garrett there for the first time. Hadn't he gone home for the day, Lee thought. She could talk to Garrett about that later, though. Dealing with Tarin was still her top priority.
"You're damn right I'm going with him," Lee replied to Sam, pushing herself back to her feet. Then she looked around, and saw what Sam must have been referring to. "Hop up?" She questioned as she looked at the large figure seemingly made of ice. Though, Lee couldn't exactly think of many other options other than dealing with the police when they arrived, which probably wouldn't have been too much longer, and somehow she didn't think the rest of the force would be nearly as lenient as Rupert had been. That thought left Lee little choice, so she moved over and climbed, albeit a little awkwardly, onto thi thing's back.
