The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

(OOC: Just posting reactions and inner thoughts this time around, so the intro thread won't be obnoxiously long. Also, minor[/u] permission given to gmod if anyone wishes to demonstrate their abilities on an actual person. Neena's fearlessness is well known, so just keep that in mind when posting her reaction, please. If I have a problem with it, I'll PM you privately for an edit.
Versed as she was in observation, Neena soon faded into the background of the meeting. Not so much physically, as she took a seat close to Tricity and continued playing with the baby. But her actual presence melted into the rest of the group. She fell silent, taking in each new arrival and committing their faces to her photographic memory.
She tilted her head curiously at Calley's choice of a codename, and wondered at Raina's quiet appearance. Streak, Ali and Nika.... She also noted Katrina's arrival and position outside of the door, as had Jeramya. She could not say the girl was too young to be there; she was more mentally mature than some of the teenagers in the House. Ethan seemed tired, still drained from the nighttime attack. His condition bothered Neena a bit, and she began thinking of ways to help.
Tricity began the meeting. Neena listened to the speech with only half an ear, more interested in everyone else's reactions. She found Sam's, or Cold Steel's, reaction to Tricity's power a bit comical, but prudently kept her amusement quelled. She simply shook her head at his 'romantic walks' comment. That boy seriously needed a solid girlfriend to settle him down a bit.
Calley's demonstration of ability she focused on a bit more closely than normal; she wanted to see if she could tell when his 'consciousness' passed back and forth between bodies. When he asked about inviting Katrina into the meeting, she turned to Tricity; that was her call to make. Neena wasn't sure what she thought of it.
The instant Luke walked in Neena mentally smacked herself; she was supposed to call him and let him know when the Headmistress had returned. Calley must have instead, thankfully, but still. She'd dropped the ball on that one.
Garrett spoke up next, a mixture of nervousness, resignation and determination coming out as he explained his mutation. It was a stark contrast to Raina's short and somewhat stiff explanation. The mermaid transformation was still a tender subject, it seemed. She was glad to see Streak's attempt to put his friend's mind at ease.
Neena smlied, turning to listen to the next mutation explanation. She'd wait a bit before explaining her own ability. They were fairly passive, and most of those gathered had an inkling, if not a full understanding anyway. Listening to others held more interest and entertainment. Sometimes she was just entirely too nosy for her own good, but at least here she had an excuse.
OOC: Hey guys, I'm back. This is my first welcome back post so bear with me.
IC: Nathan slowly pulled his motorcycle into the Mansion garage. It had been a while since he had left the Mansion so urgently. He only hoped that Ali could understand why he had to leave. Nathan wasn't sure he understood himself. He quickly parked the vehicle and walked into the Mansion proper while still wearing his thick biker jacket. His jeans sported a few new rips and his shirt was a little bit faded since he had left.
The first place he went was Ali's room. After receiving no answer from his knocking, he went to look for her. After asking around, he learned that there was a meeting being held for the X-Men. Nathan quickly trotted toward the War Room. On his way there, Nathan began to feel like he had come home.
The door to the War Room opened revealing the meeting already in progress. Nathan felt as if everyone's eyes shifted to him as he entered. That's what I get for barging in, I guess. Nathan nodded to everyone nonchalantly as he cracked a crooked smile.
As he entered he entered Nathan began to examine all the faces that were there. He saw Neena, Sam, Streak, Raina, Garrett, Maya...he paused as his face reddened slightly remembering the last time he tried to help out Maya. He also saw people he didn't know too well. Nathan had seen the gargoyle looking mutant before he had left, but there were others. A woman next to Neena with a small boy. A man who was about the same size as him but an inch taller. And there were some other younger men in the group as well.
Lastly, his gaze rested on Ali's face. To him, at that moment, they were the only two people in the room. Nathan gave her a quick wink before addressing the rest of the group. "I hope that I didn't miss too much."
[[k i'm trying to keep my post short until my fingers are fully healed]]
Ethan gave Sam a half hearted smile as he was clapped on the back, he watched as the one who introduced herself as Delilah and when the lights went out he looked around quickly from person to person as his glowing became obvious but was negated by the light the ladie emited in her hand. The lights came on again and people began to introduce themselves. He watched each person demonstrate they're powers and he began to feel better, like he wasn't alone. He also wondered how he was going to demonstrate his powers when he still hadn't fully recovered. When it came to his turn he smiled brightly (no pun intended) and looked around to everyone.
"Hi my name is Ethan Hopes, Sunshine or Sunny. My powers are normally always on but do to resent issues I'm kinda off at the moment. My body absorbs sunlight and emits it constantly from my skin. It also lets me fly and increases my speed. You all probally don't regonise me from around because I'm kinda hard to look at, just ask around." He nodded towards Neena, Sam, and several other people who were at the little battle in the hallway where he lost control. "I also can increase the tempature of my body, I don't know the exact temp like some of us." He nudged Sam, "But I only got my powers a few months ago so I'm still learning." He nodded to show that he was done and took a step back from where he was standing to open the floor.
Max found himself having taken a seat at the table, when many others started to having done so. He felt extremely young, inexperienced, and out of place. The irony of his continual displacement haunted his mind, though not in a disturbingly morbid way, but the way that your mind reminds you that you forgot to return that library book or feed your turtle. So, he listened intently to the introductions people have given, not exactly eager for his own. He had problems with public speaking, and perhaps did not blink quite enough while he did so, for his eyes always grew irritated and dry. This would cause him to pause, before they would start to tear up, and at this time he'd be severely uncomfortable, thought he still fought the battle to try to hide that. So many people were gathered for the meeting, but he could hardly blame them. They were at a meeting for the X-Men. He questioned his expectation of there only being about maybe twelve people to show up. He'd lived at the mansion before, though perhaps he did not join the X-Men, so much as take refuge there from Oregon. This was a wondrous first step to solving this.
He watched Tricity's showing of her power, Ethan's, and a number of other people he didn't know. He watched as a teenager and a cat got up, and Maximillian was glad he didn't see them the first time. The poor, young mutant despised cats, in a way that one might despise heights or a roller coaster. Out of fear. Oh, the luck that he was not next to the person, and their wicked beasts. Maximillian was rather determined to believe that cat's could sense his tensing up, and his dislike of them, and had the idea that the boy would send a fleet of battle-cats after him. It was only when he reviewed these thoughts that they lost their power, and grew as lacking much sanity. That was not nearly the end of the strange urge he had to keep his distance from this Calley, for he seemed to purposely smack his head on the table. It was only after he explained what happened, that Max's heart stopped racing. Everyone's displays were exciting. Very much like watching an interactive action movie, that to describe all of them in his sub-par way of telling stories to others would not be justice.
There was a pause after Ethan's introduction, and not finding silences any more favourable than awkward silences, Max was sure that this was his time to get it over with. He could safely say that he was fairly good at hiding his nervousness in contained formal events. He just spoke in a strange, monotone. He also had the tendency to stare at a wall in front of him while he did so, giving him the strange impression of acting out a false channeling of spirits beyond. He stood up, but only after banging his leg on the underside of the table, a consequence from not having pulled the chair out far enough. Not such a great start.
The mutant spoke loudly, so they could hear him well enough, but not much louder than that. "My name is Maximillian. I send out aura's of confusion, depending on my mood. I, like Ethan, always have my ability on. However, I cannot "power down" like he did. Or, so as far as I know. I have come to believe my mutation has different effects on different people, and it events people to a different degree. I'm not a scientist, so I cannot claim that I know all too much about my ability other than what I've found out. I cannot do an example really, since I don't just shoot lasers out of my eyes or something of that sort. I'd guess that I'm more of a support, than anything else. Whenever I'm calm, I tend to help others, along with myself, focus. This has proven useful for tests. I have nothing against being support, or being used strategically." Max finished, and sat in his seat, still trying to avoid the gaze of anyone who might have been looking at him, especially the cat. He realized he had yet to blink since he'd started talking, so he did so, awkwardly.
From her pouting vantage point on the floor outside the War Room, Katrina got to watch the late comers come straggling in to the meeting. They included a tall teenager about the same age as Calley with long hair almost light enough to rival Ghost's snowy locks. There was a tall man wearing sunglasses, even though they were inside. The last one to arrive was a tall boy with short, light brown hair and brown eyes. Was every mutant man tall, or was it simply Katrina's inferior vantage point on the ground?
Of course, as she watched stragglers, the meeting had already begun with introductions and demonstrations of powers. Katrina retained her sulky posture, leaning against the wall. What did she care if someone could turn off all the lights in the entire mansion and someone else could provide free air conditioning?
She did raise an eyebrow when the resident mansion gargoyle seemed to notice her and point her out to Neena. So, perhaps they would come and shut the door now so she wouldn't know all of their mutations and all of their secrets. What did she care? She was obviously too young to handle the excitement of a guy who could give you a tan just by standing next to you.
Calley definitely got her attention, though. His power display was rather unconventional, and very sudden. Random animals were suddenly just -there. As if they had been there all along. The familiar tiger, a normal looking sparrow, a little snake that stuck its tongue out at Katrina under the table, and a big grey dog. Then, poof, without a puff of smoke or a single sound they were gone again. She remembered clearly the sulkiness side effect of which Calley spoke and noted the shrug-grin in her direction. She gave a half hearted half smile back, but jumped when the older boy face planted himself on the table and let his kitten do a bit of his talking for him. The kitten asked if Katrina could come in and join the meeting.
Katrina stood, unsure if she would be granted permission to enter.
Meanwhile, Sunglasses introduced himself as Luke, a blind guy who could use sonar. Katrina, feeling nervous, inched closer to the door. It was a good thing she hadn't shown up to the meeting invisible. She didn't think invisibility illusions worked on sonar.
Garrett went next, and Katrina peeked into the room cautiously from the door frame. She had experienced what Garrett could do, but unlike many of the other students, she had gotten to know him at least a little before the pain incident. She knew he wouldn't have sent excruciating waves of pain through the mansion's population on purpose. From her spot in the doorway, she gave him a small smile to let him know that she, at least, didn't think of him as the “Pain Guy”. She hadn't known about his neural-vision before. She didn't think invisibility would have worked on him either.
Yup, invisibility was beginning to seem absolutely useless. There were so many different senses out there that she couldn't fool with her little illusion of non-prescence. Nevertheless, she wished she could be invisible right now. It felt awkward to be standing there, waiting on the meeting leaders to give her official permission to come in. Neena looked to the tan skinned woman standing with the baby, deferring the decision.
One of the normal looking boys was introducing himself now. His nervousness seemed to be contagious. Katrina looked away from the pair of authority figures at the front of the room, if they weren't telling her she couldn't stay, maybe she was allowed to tiptoe the rest of the way in. She was so confused by all the power deferring glances, she didn't know whether she should just leave or take a seat. Such an awkward position to be in, standing between the door and an open chair when someone else was trying to talk. Door. Or chair. What was she doing here, again? Oh, the chair. She should sit in it. That's what chairs were for, right? And Ghost was sitting next to this particular open seat. Ghost was nice, she wouldn't make Katrina sit somewhere else. The confused thirteen year old slid into the empty chair with a lost expression on her face.
Sam had asked her something, but Ghost was far too distracted by the hulking man she'd never met that walked in with such... bravado... and then he practically made out with the headmistress' face and neck. Ghost found herself wishing she'd brought a drink or some other prop. Something that she could have the excuse to look at when nothing else seemed safe. At least Neena was still Neena. Though it was interesting to note that only Tricity and DocProf even seemed to know this man had existed before 12 seconds ago.
More people came, most of which she knew by reputation at the very least. And then Tricity called the meeting to order with a lovely song and dance meant to scare away the young ones and reaffirm the ideals of Xavier to those who couldn't be frightened off so easily. Ghost wasn't sure what to think of the headmistress' little speech. Ghost had made up her mind for several reasons, not all of them aligned exactly with what Tricity implied, but she was certainly still in line with Xavier's thinking and as far as she was concerned, still in the right.
After Tricity's magnificent and slightly frightening display, Mister Gargoyle... err Jeramya went first. That surprised Ghost a little, but it was fun to learn about the people here. Ghost figured she would go as soon as there was a break, but before she realized Sam, then Calley was piping up. It seemed she would have to be a bit more aggressive. With her level of ambition, that meant that Ghost could end up going last. Upon Calley's face plant, Ghost actually hopped to her feet thinking something was wrong. She ended up sinking slowly back to her chair, cheeks warm with embarrassment.
Luckily Luke chose that moment to burst in. He was ever the shining beacon of distraction, but he seemed to politely consider her feelings and mutation because after an initial burst he actively reigned in his power. Ever a nice guy. His entrance made Ghost finally notice what Jeramya, Neena, and Calley were all talking about. Kat was sitting in the hall way alone either too young or too timid to enter alone. Except then Ghost was distracted momentarily by Garrett's voice. He was speaking up and she wanted to support him as best she could with smiles and nods. When Raina stood, Ghost was actually encouraged slightly by the cryptic nature of her revelation of her ability. She found herself looking up to the woman if for no other reason than the fact that she had helped Garrett had find this place.
While Streak was talking, Ghost decided to scoot the empty chair next to her out slightly to make it more tempting for young onlookers. She tried not to look at the girl in the hall, instead, distracted again by the appearance of another late comer. Ghost nearly laughed at the mixed expression Seraph gave her. Either way, it was good to have him back. Ali would certainly quit sulking around the girl's hall now.
While Sunny and Maximillian were talking Ghost went back to trying to lure Kat in, going as far as to wave to Katrina subtly and motion to the chair. When the youth did finally dart in, Ghost smiled and pat her arm. If the headmistress didn't approve, Ghost would take responsibility for Katrina being present. It wasn't like they were handing out secret missions anyway and the girl had a very sharp mind. While Ghost didn't approve of Kat going out and running dangerous missions, the headmistress had mentioned that there were important duties here protecting the mansion as well. Perhaps they would need every able and willing student no matter the age.
Finally there was a lull in the conversation after Maximillian finished speaking and Ghost jumped on it, literally hopping out of her chair to take the spotlight before she'd really thought about what she was doing. She looked around just as surprised as the others. "Ehm... You may have seen me drifting around at some point." She cleared her throat and tried not to think about the 15 or more pair of eyes that were focused on her now.
"My name is Ghost and I'm an Air Elemental." Her lips twitched slightly as her tone had reminded her of a reluctant speaker at an AA meeting... or at least what they sounded like on TV. "My this is a lovely group." She stammered. "Uh-anyway... I bend the air to my will and I can change the state of my own body." As a small demonstration Ghost sent a gentle breeze around the room as head-level to ruffle everyone's hair and with a sharp intake of breath she changed to her incorporeal form, a much harder to see version of herself. From the moment she changed forms her voice changed to be louder and emanated from no direct point in the room. If Luke's sonar had been reaching as far as her location, Ghost would have entirely disappeared from his 'sight.'
"While I am like this I can change my shape enough slip through anywhere that isn't air tight. I've found nothing physical can touch me. It goes both ways, though." Ghost passed her hand "through" the table. The molecules of her hand pooled into a mist and seeped around to reform as her hand on the other side. "I perceive the world a bit differently which is good and bad. It's a bit harder to tell who is who, but my sight is not dependent on light, only form - it's not unlike sonar. Sound is carried on air molecules so there are a variety of things I can do there, though speaking of sonar, Mister Luke's ability is a beacon of distraction for me. Also, I seem to be quite combustible? So I would say fire is quite problematic for me."
Ghost pushed her chair back with a sharp blast of wind and then began the process of becoming solid again. While her change to ethereal-ness was nearly instantaneous, it took a very long time comparatively for her to change back to normal and she always needed her space to be able to solidify without accidentally solidifying around something. Once solid, Ghost promptly sat in her seat with a small "That's all." to let them know she was finished. This was a meeting to introduce their powers and limitations to the headmistress. No personal information needed.
It was a good thing the War Room was fairly large. There were alot of mutants filling the space. Nika knew most of the people or had at least seen them around while others were completely new. It was a pretty good mix of mutations as well. At least from what she had observed thus far.
With Ghost finishing her introduction Nika waited to allow someone else to speak. When no one said anything the cat girl piped up.
"I'd first like to start off by saying welcome back Tricity."
Giving the headmistress a smile Nika continued.
"My name is Nika and for the most part my mutation is pretty obvious."
At that Nika twitched her ears and flicked her tail.
"I have increased speed and agility like a cat. I also have acute hearing and sense of smell. The mutation that isn't obvious comes from my adrenaline. You might say it's supercharged which greatly increases both my speed and strength to super levels. The down side to that is the longer I'm supercharged the more it drains me so that once I finally calm down I have to rest. I accidently pushed myself too hard once and almost went into a coma so I have to be careful since that's when I'm most vulnerable."
Tricity kept full attention to each mutant that stood and spoke their piece. Some were nervous. Expected. There were a lot of other mutants in here. More experienced. More 'useful' powers when actually on the frontlines. 'But it seems all these mutations have their usefulness in one way or another. This could be the strongest group we've ever had assembled here in the mansion.'
With a reassuring wink to Katrina and a slight nod and smile at Nika, Tricity stood once more to continue with the meeting. "Thank you for your introductions. I think the possibilities of this team are endless. In fact, I'd like to see how we work together and focus on the actual uses of your mutations in the Danger Room. Nothing too crazy for now... Just simple tests that can help us better understand one another and what we are capable of. Some of you may want to change into something a little less restricting." Tricity waved her arm toward the door. "Shall we?"
She turned to her Second. "Neena, just start the program on a simple stage in the main room. We'll get warmed up and comfortable before pressing into something more difficult. I'm going to pass Sevion to one of the girls to babysit. I'll meet you all there."
After picking up the baby, Tricity knelt down beside Katrina so only the girl could hear. "I'd like it very much if you came to the Danger Room as well. Would you mind tagging along?" Katrina's ability was certainly useful, but Tricity didn't want the girl to feel left out. Perhaps she wasn't ready to be on the field... but there was no reason the girl couldn't start preparing herself for a team she wanted to be a part of when the time was right.

Luke remained silent as he listened to the other mutants introduce themselves and their various mutations. It was a little strange that Raina didn't mention the latest manifestation of her mutation a little more directly but that was her call and he knew this wasn't the best forum to ask about it.
As the rest of the group stood in order to follow Tricity's suggestion to the... Danger Room, Luke also stood, turning his head to look over at Calley with an eyebrow raised in a questioning manner. "Danger Room? Care to fill me in Calley?" He asked as he let his sonar extend out in front in order to move out of the room and down the hallway. He was doing his best to keep it away from Ghost and Nika as he knew that the air elemental was affected by it and more than likely Nika would hear some type of buzzing because of her enhanced hearing if he was to send it her direction.
"Gotta focus on the control aspect... team training is something I haven't done before so I'll have to do my best to work on it." Luke thought to himself as he shrugged off his leather jacket and carried it in his left hand instead of wearing it. Thankfully his jeans were a touch loose allowing plenty of freedom for movement and his sneakers would allow plenty of traction for whatever it was they were going to be doing.

Raina was surprised they were going right into the danger room so soon. Especially so many, but after this morning she felt like she could blow off some steam. And admititly it could be a good opprotunity to show off for Luke. He'd seen the fishy side of her once from being stuck in the rain, but hadn't really seen how skilled she was in combat.
Despite the Rupert drama she remembered the look on his face when he'd seen her attack. It gave her a little confidence that was for sure. She smiled tentaivly at Luke unsure if he'd notice- but it made her feel better.
She followed in suit behind the other mutants taking stock of who she knew and who she didn't. She was dressed pretty accordingly. Seeing them all like this gave her a few ideas for music class that was for sure...
(OOC: Going to jump back a bit to give Neena's intro, before jumping ahead to the Danger Room. Tricity, let me know if I make this too complicated.
Neena waited until most everyone had introduced themselves and explained their mutation. Mentally she took note of those who were a bit more open with their pasts, and those who preferred to stick with the bare basics. Matching personalities with each other for future mission would be a high-wire-esque balancing act.
Finally there was another slight lull. She took that opportunity to introduce herself.
"For those who don't know me, my name is Neena. For those who do know me, I'm sure you've come up with a few more creative names." She grinned. "You can usually find me haunting either the Danger Room during the day, or the roof at night, or other high places at random times of the day.
"Powerwise, I have two mutations. Or, actually, it might be one mutation and a mental condition, depending on who you talk to." She shrugged, grinned and kept talking.
"I have enhanced sight. I can see in almost every spectrum of light available. It might be every spectrum. I haven't tried 'em all, actually. But I'll let ya know when I have.
"Mutation Number Two, or Mental Condition Number One, is lack of fear. Or more specifically, lack of adrenaline. You can't scare me. Eh, and please don't take that as a challenge." She cocked her eyebrow at the less mature members present. "If any of you ever need a moving target for practice sessions, I'd be glad to help." She winked at Seizure and Silver Streak, who knew from experience that she was perfectly serious.
"Weakness?" She tapped her glasses. "These are not just a fashion statement. Bright lights and I tend to have issues. Sorry Sunny," she smiled at Ethan. "Also.... well...." She scratched her head, her demeanor turning serious. "If I can help it, I won't ever put anyone else in danger, especially none of you. So if I tell you that I'm going to handle a situation, and tell you to back off from it, please do it. I have my reasons."
She smiled to lift the heavy air.
Tricity took the helm again, moving forward in the meeting.
"Thank you for your introductions. I think the possibilities of this team are endless. In fact, I'd like to see how we work together and focus on the actual uses of your mutations in the Danger Room. Nothing too crazy for now... Just simple tests that can help us better understand one another and what we are capable of. Some of you may want to change into something a little less restricting. Shall we?"
She turned to the sunglass-wearing teacher. "Neena, just start the program on a simple stage in the main room. We'll get warmed up and comfortable before pressing into something more difficult. I'm going to pass Sevion to one of the girls to babysit. I'll meet you all there."
Neena gave her a thumb's up. "Will do, Tricity." Popping up, she took the lead out of the room, and down to the Danger Room. She raised her voice for those lagging behind to hear.
"There's locker rooms for those of you who want to change to do so." She pointed the appropriate directions. "For the rest of us, go ahead on inside."
She moved to the mini console on the side of the room. A few memorized keystrokes later the room lit up, revealing the smooth, and high, silvery walls of the giant area.
"Okay," she began once everyone had regathered, "if everyone could kind of separate yourselves by mutations, that'll give us visual of who's who. Let's do basics. Um.... Let's do.... General elementals, like Cold Steel and Raina. Physical manifestations, like Silver Streak and Nika. Aaaand.... Enhanced senses or sense manipulators, like Seizure and Luke. Go with your main ability for the moment, 'kay?"
She stood back, pinkie nail clamped firmly between her teeth as she took a head count of the gathered crew.

Streak was very familiar with the Danger Room. He'd spent many hours practicing, training, and helping others. The most recent was Sam. There little free for all brawl didn't help himself much, however, it helped Sam a lot. And that's what the purpose of it was. He just hoped he didn't have to take anyone to the infirmary. Then again DocProf was here and he could probably fix up most people on the spot. He noticed Tricity talk to the young girl that had walked in, unsure if she was welcome at the meeting or not.
Shawn wasn't to surprised that they were going to the Danger Room. Although he didn't expect to be going there so soon. The man of silver thought that there would be more to the meeting than what it was. This didn't mean the meeting was over. There's probably going to be more discussion once we've started the simulation. He thought as he turned to leave the War Room with the rest of the group.
Once inside the Danger Room, Neena took over meeting. "if everyone could kind of separate yourselves by mutations, that'll give us visual of who's who.
As they walked into the Danger Room, Streak covered himself in the silver. He stood apart from the group when Neena mentioned his name along with Nika's. This is going to be fun. He thought smiling.
Garrett listened to the others and found their gifts both interesting and useful. Tricity was right, this team could be a great one. He nodded and smirked back at Neena at her mention of moving targets. He also found his gaze falling back to Maya, so happy to have her on the team. Happier still that it had been her own decision, though he admitted to himself he had a hand in it. He wanted her by his side in all things. He was feeling much lighter, having purged himself. He felt invigorated..
Tricity's mention of the Danger Room and some exercise only stimulated Garrett further. He chuckled to himself a bit, seeing as he had just come from there and was still in his workout suit. "Well, at least I won't have to shower twice." He rose from the table as others did, the room becoming a bit chaotic as the many mutants began to file out of the room. He shot a glance to Maya and winked at her as he headed into the hallway with the others.
A sense of excitement buzzed in his ears and in his blood as Neena prepared the room. He had been anticipating seeing the use of his gifts in union with the others, rather than against them. Time to use the curse of the virus as a blessing for a change, harnessing the power of the demon.
."Okay,if everyone could kind of separate yourselves by mutations, that'll give us visual of who's who.
It was hard not to roll his eyes as he was paired up with the man who was apparently Maya's friend. Once he found him, he walked up to him and smiled, though he wondered if he knew he had done it. This was no time for petty emotions, Garrett.Teamwork is the way to win. Save this for later. He inhaled deeply and closed his eyes, stretching and rolling his neck. He stood at ease next to Luke and awaited further instructions.

Sam followed the group to the danger room with a happy smile on his face, for he loved everything about that magical place. His last trip there resulted in him getting a few broken ribs and a good amount of internal bleeding which he was sure that Doc Prof was happy to heal. He glanced over to streak and smiled knowing not sure if he saw it or not. Once in the Danger room Sam fell silent waiting for Neena to take charge.

Sam knew over half of the people that were now in the training room he loved so much. ‘Elementals huh?’ thought Sam, ‘guess I’ll be with Raina, Ghost, Seraph and maybe Sunny.’ Sam wasn’t exactly sure if Sunny would be considered an elemental and regarding anyone else he didn’t really know any others powers well enough to figure if they were elementals or not. Sam walked over to the area that Neena pointed to and began to stretch with an excited look on his face.
Sam looked over to Streak as he ‘silvered up’ and then looked over to Garret who had a displeased look on his face if only for a second but it was defiantly there.
Sam started to jump up and down getting hyped for the Team training he looked to the others and said, “This is gonna be so much fun!” Sam then landed to the ground after some more jumping and continued to stretch waiting for more orders from Neena.
Calley repressed a little shudder, and smiled at Luke, even if the man couldn't see it. "It's the Mansion training room--basically, holograms and robots galore, and you don't have to worry about breaking things with your powers." Which, for many of the students, made the Danger Room a welcome release from the rest of the world.
Calley was slightly less thrilled by the place, but he kept it out of his voice. He was experienced at keeping his lack-of-thrill out of his voice. "Let us follow the crowd!"
At the Danger Room, he didn't bother to get changed into a uniform--the clothes he was wearing right now were easy enough to move in, and he'd never really gone for the skin-tight black clothes look, anyway.

Calley gave a blink. He wasn't an elemental and he only had enhanced senses in the cheater's sense of the term, so that put him with Option Two: the physical manifestations. Close enough. He walked over to join the others. Silver Streak, Nika the awesome Cat Girl, maybe Gargoyle... and who else? Their group kind of seemed like the Default Kids. Calley stood by Nika, and waited for this joyful experience to begin.
He liked Neena. He liked her a lot. But her class, regularly held in this charming room, was one of his least favorites. His first experience with the Danger Room had been the X-Men try-outs last year, before the Registration Act had passed. That stunningly memorable session had featured, as its opening act, the mass destruction of human-shaped robots. Calley was not well known for his upstanding moral code, but something about the X-Men's philosophies of defense and protection, combined with having their applications gleefully slaughter human-shaped robots en masse... had tainted this place for him. He didn't like it, and he didn't really want to be here with all the other X-Men and X-Trainees again, about to "train" again. Train for what? That's what made him feel uneasy.
On the outside, his usual pleasant smile was in place, as he nodded to those joining his group. The black kitten perched on his shoulder, though, had a tail that simply would not stop lashing the air.
