The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

(I have no idea where I'm going with this but I'm board. Feel free to throw anything in.)
Running was fun. Having someone chase you was even more fun. It gave you a chance you stretch your skills, a way of testing yourself against someone else, and a way to keep yourself pushing your own limits. Running was fun, as long as you weren’t being shot at while running.
Sara sailed over an industrial sized dumpster just as two shots were heard connecting with the side of the giant trash can. Making it buck an inch from the wall where it was. These guys were serious, but luckily really bad at aim. The motor of a cycle turned around the obstacles in the alley way, as the man riding it, leveled the gun, towards Sara, Again. She paused at the end of the alley way to blow the man a kiss before ducking around the brick wall just as the shots rammed into the edge, and turned the small part of the wall to powder.
The problem with being an obvious mutant was that you couldn’t lie. Well you could, but you always had to show that you were a mutant and the only jobs you could get were dishonest jobs. Not that Sara had a problem with being dishonest. At least the work made her an honest thief. She could steal from those that deserved to be stolen from and not those little shop owners that didn’t need the extra grief, but that ran into another problem. If Sara was hired to do something dishonest, like, oh… Steal from someone, then that person generally had enough money to afford guns and running from people with guns meant one of three things. You didn’t get shot and you didn’t need a lucky rabbit’s foot. You got shot in the back, or worst, you got shot in the @$$. So far, Sara hadn’t gotten shot, but this guy seemed to have enough ammunition to still pose a threat.
Today’s heist concerned retrieving a computer file. She had downloaded it onto a mall Thumb drive, that was now tucked into her inner pocket, and the owner of the file was now chasing her with a gun. Yeah. Normal day.
She cleared the corner, powered over the sidewalk, and stretching her strides to carry herself faster. The bike was heard, squealing tires, around the corner, still in pursuit.

Sam was lost again in New York City, which was a bit sad considering he had a map and a G.P.S. system now. Sam shook the thing hoping it would tell him where he was, he wanted to go to the zoo that’s all he wanted to do and anytime he decided to walk he always gets lost. He wanted to go to the zoo so he could see the lions tigers and bears, “Oh my.”
Sam’s ears perked as he heard gunshots off in the distance. Sam rounded a corner passing people while saying, “Sorry, Excuse me, Pardon me.” Sam got fed up with the crowed and decided to get a little altitude. Sam iced his body and jumped in the air and then formed a slide. Sam glided in the air searching for the source of the commotion, as of late Sam’s been doing his part as a citizen and a future X-men to help out where he can and he figured that the cops could always use a hand.
Zooming on the air borne ice Sam saw the source of the commotion; it was a mutant being chased by someone on a motorcycle. Sam ignored the person on the bike and slid closer to the mutant, “Still taking things that aren’t yours I see.” Sam smiled he met this mutant before, she was the one that stole his wallet.

Sara was trying to run where the streets weren’t that crowded. That gun was like a flame thrower though. It made humans come out like moths to a candle light and it attracted other mutants. Ones that just might have an I told you so line waiting to come out… Or something like that…
Sara had glanced behind her, just a Iceman #2 was coming up on her. Great. Just great. “That depends on what your definition of position is.” Sara said as she ran. Not missing a breath, even as she ran at the top speed. “Technically what I have, all that I have, is mine now.” And then what she had would be given to her employer as soon as she lost the freak with the motorcycle. “at least this gives a bigger paycheck.”
Sara ducked to the right, got closer than she had intended, to Sam, and changed direction with a sort of skip, to keep the traction good under her feet, and not land on the ice. She turned down another alley way just as the biker, was trying to load another clip. Struggling because he had to steer the bike as well

Sam stopped and started to turn to follow the cat burglar, “well riddle me this, why is he chasing you if it’s yours now?” Sam smirked while trying to keep up with the Cat woman’s speed as she was running down a less populated road. Hardly anyone was in the alley, “You know I am going to ask you to give back what you stole, he seems pretty mad and he is shooting at you in the middle of New York City, I already had to freeze up a few stray bullets before they hit any one.” Sam was hoping she would listen to him but the odds of that happening are slim t none.
Sam heard the guy on the motorcycle zooming down the alley way as he was shooting at the cat girl. Laughing Sam said “I am sure all he needs to say is please right?” Sam was remembering the way she made him say please before giving back his wallet.
“well riddle me this, why is he chasing you if it’s yours now?”
“Apparently he disagrees with me.” Sara shrugged. Technically it was her computer devise that the information was on, and technically it was only a copy of his information but that is till considered steeling, and apparently it still gets a guy on a motorcycle chasing you with a gun.
“You know I am going to ask you to give back what you stole, he seems pretty mad and he is shooting at you in the middle of New York City, I already had to freeze up a few stray bullets before they hit any one.”
“Pity they were stopped.” Sara grumbled. The fraise came out before she really knew what she was saying and she tried to decide if she meant pity they were stopped before hitting herself, or pity they were stopped before hitting pedestrians and on lookers. Norms. Either one she didn’t really mean. She didn’t want to mean them. Her ears flicked back as the cycle rounded the corner and was headed down the alley way in pursuit. She was tempting fate a lot with more powerful people.
“I am sure all he needs to say is please right?”
“Sammey boy, this one is different. As interesting as your wallet was, no client were paying for it.” She glanced behind her as she moved, checking the progress of her friend on the cycle with the gun. “Although he did say please. That’s probably why he doesn’t have a brick through his head. Or a clawed foot up his back side.” Come on. Mutant cat thing vs. Human with a gun. Mutant cat thing, hands down. Just more proof at how much Sara had been tempting fate.

“Although he did say please. That’s probably why he doesn’t have a brick through his head. Or a clawed foot up his back side.”
Sam laughed still sliding next to the cat girl and he said, “Well how bout if I say please, I think…Ow” Sam stopped talking cause he took a bullet to the back of the head, it was a good thing he had his armor up other wise he would be dead. “Alright that’s enough,” Sam turned his body still sliding next to the cat girl he was now facing the biker with a gun. He snapped his fingers together and a larger wall formed right in the biker’s path.
Sam watched as the biker went right through it and fell flat on his face after breaking threw the thin ice. From there Sam created an ice cage around him yelling, “The cops are on their way just hold tight for a bit.” He then turned back to the cat girl, “Now how about you tell me what you stole?”

(Apologies for the length)
Sara Heard the shot, and her eyes widened. She thought for sure she had just witnessed someone get killed, but then again this was another mutant… where Sara doubted she’d still be standing after getting shot in the head, this guy was still standing. Her gate slowed. He had armor, man. If Sara had the choice of being a healer or having armor she’d want armor, healing hurt. That was so unfair. What was next? People coating themselves in steal and spikes? (Reference from the red carpet thread in FP where Zelek is coated in steal and spikes…)
Sara’s wide eyes turned to a grimace, and then to a glare. “What I took I can’t give entirely back. So no.” Sara said, slowing completely to a stop, as the cage was put up. The biker was dazed, sprawled on the ground. Not entirely aware of his surroundings, though his gun had managed to stay firmly in his hand. His nose was broken though and he groaned, rolling onto his back.
“The cops are on their way just hold tight for a bit.”
Cops. Great… Sara should make an exit but the problem was getting too far away from Sam, and he could put her in a cage, she’d rather stay within arms reach where she could at least do something about it, should that happen.
“Now how about you tell me what you stole?”
Sara’s lips pressed together. Not really wanting to just give in, but also a small part of her was curious how he’d handle what she had. “Information.” When you’re backed into a corner, blame everything on curiosity. “I stole information.” Meaning that even though most of it was on her little thumb drive, (that Sam didn’t need to know about, nor did he need to know she had more than one that weren’t all containing the same files,) there was only one way he could really give the information back.
Another three shots echoed through the alley, and Sara doubled over. Our gunman had found his gun and enough time to get three shots off, in fast repetition, into the cat girl. Two in her chest, and one going right threw her throat. She hit her knees, choking. He tried leveling the gun on her again. Having to reaim because of her change in position. Idiot, It was Sara’s turn. At her knees, she found a large rough stone, with a pointed end, She scooped that up, and flung it, fast, at the hand holding the gun. The stone smashed into his knuckles. He howled, and the gun skittered to the side, inside his cage.

Sam watched as the cat girl was shot 3 times. Sam let out a surprised gasp as he looked to the armed gunman and shot a beam right at the cage, the bars were instantly filled and it became a cold solid cube.
Sam jumped off of his slide and landed next to the cat girl, “You okay? Well your still breathing but, that was 3 bullets not everybody can take that and still breath.” Sam looked at her wounds and flinched, he could see where the bullets impacted. He then looked to her face, “So this information must be pretty big for that guy being willing to kill you like that after I mentioned the cops.” He then frowned and folded his arms, “Now what kind of information is is?”

There was a problem with being hot in the neck. You couldn’t swallow, and you couldn’t breath, because you coughed and made things rip more, before your healing could kick in and make things any better. Sara fell back on her tail, and rocked, holding her front, and her neck. She was trying to keep her breathing shallow, but for the moment, she was drowning, there on the sidewalk, from the wounds. Telling yourself not to breath was like telling gravity to let you fly when you hopped off of the ground. Sure some people could do that, but for Sara, it was impossible. So at first, all Sam got for a response, was a wet cough as the wounds leaked, and tried to find a way for the fluids to escape. Mostly collecting at the back of Sara’s mouth, where she continued to cough and spat what came out.
Sure, am had the courtesy to ask her if she was alright, but he didn’t really give her time to recover, and respond before demanding more answers to questions Sara wasn’t going to answer. She leaned back, against the brick wall, rubbing where her throat had been open, and trying to swallow. “It was the Kernel’s recipe for KFC’s crispy chicken. You know how well that’s protected, Right?” Sara grumbled through a sore throat. Lying through her teeth. Why did he have to be so nosy?
Sara began pushing herself up. She wasn’t completely healed yet, but she wasn’t staying here to get a morals lesson. “Will he be ok when he thaws or did you kill him?” She asked, still using the wall for support. The wounds had stopped bleeding, and now were slowly starting to close on themselves.

Sam let out a small chuckle, “You think it just be one guy? There would be a lot more and they would all be better armed.” Sam looked at her wounds a little grossed out. Then he looked over to the solid ice cube.
Sam smiled as the girl showed interest in his safety. Even though he shot her three times. “I don’t like killing. He will be fine the inside of the cube is warm enough for him to be okay, it’s just so he doesn’t shoot at you any more. Once the cops come the ice will probably be warm enough to break.” Sam looked to her holding a hand out to help her out, “Come to think of it I don’t really know your name, name’s Sam.” He waited to hear her response then he asked her, “so what really did you steal, and don’t lie your not to good at it.”

You think it just be one guy? There would be a lot more and they would all be better armed.”
Nothing Sara hadn’t faced before. Though it was also nothing she really ever liked facing either. “Yeah. I know.” Sara breathed. Letting her eyes drop to the ground. Healing hurt but at least she was healing.
Out of the corner of her eye, Sara could see the smile on Sam’s face. The fact he was smiling made her ears flick back. Just because she had to look so tough. Even if she was sure that she was failing at looking tough.
“I don’t like killing. He will be fine the inside of the cube is warm enough for him to be okay, it’s just so he doesn’t shoot at you any more. Once the cops come the ice will probably be warm enough to break.”
“Well at least you’re one of the people I can respect.” Not everyone from the mansion had shared a respect for life that they said they wanted to protect. Sara was sure that saying they were peaceful was all good, and fun, but during the camp break out, she actually saw them fight and kill. As far as she was concerned, the mansion had hypocrites. Sure Sara made one kill, but Sara never said that she was all that peaceful. Wishing for peace and saying you had it, were two different things. If she hadn’t of made that one kill, she would be dead anyways. The guard deserved it.
A small smirk formed at the corner of her mouth. “You know just separating him from the gun works as well. He could shoot a cop.” Cops had their uses. They kept crime down witch made the market higher on demand for a thieving cat.
“Come to think of it I don’t really know your name, name’s Sam.”
“Sara. And I heard yours back at Time Square when the green eyed gentleman said it.”
“so what really did you steal, and don’t lie your not to good at it.”
Sara shrugged. “It’s just a list.” Though seeing as she was getting shot at the list had to be more. Maybe a code or something spy oriented. She checked the wounds, wincing at the way they looked. At least they were closing up now. Sara would have to get the bullets out later. She pushed away from the wall without taking his hand, and started walking away. Even if he was a goody two shoes, he seemed like too nice of guy to get stuck in the crap Sara attracted. All crap belonged to Sara so there.

“Well Sara,” Sam said pulling back his hand and forming a large wall of ice in front of her preventing her from running away, “I am going to have to ask you to give back what you stole, or at least give it to the police, seeing as some guy was willing to kill for it, it seems like it isn’t that good of something to hold on to.” Sam stood firm by his decision, she stole something and Sam wanted her to turn it back to the owner or the proper authorities.

Sara's steps halted abruptly at as the wall of ice went up. She punched it, then pulled her hand back and extended her claws. Ramming those against the surface. Bits of frost spread around where she hit, and a chunk came loose but not a chunk big enough to really cause enough damage with one hit. "Sam, I'm going to warn you. I'm claustrophobic and I'm vindictive." She leaned a hand against the wall, using it for support as the wound from a moment ago ached from her sudden movement.
"Now you know I can't do that." Sara responded about the cops. One, they always wanted to enterigate you inside tiny rooms. Two, she was sure they would link her to something that had gone wrong, and three, Cops didn't like her and she didn't like cops. Even if she did find them useful.

"Well i am a Gemini" Sam let out a small laugh at his bad joke and then thought about what she said. Sam found out Sara’s weakness if he ever had to fight her, thinking to himself if she actually ever becomes a serious threat to anyone that he knew.
"Now you know I can't do that."
Sam was getting a little annoyed but it didn’t show, he only made his tone of voice more playful, “Well I wasn’t gonna put you in a cage so don’t worry I only wanted to talk about that item your holding, like what is it and who’s it for? No reason we have to get the police involved in this right?” Sam let out a small grin as he heard the sirens coming. “The clock is ticking Sara.”

"Well i am a Gemini”
Sara made the best response to that comment that she could. She stuck her tongue out. Norms. Always talking about those horoscopes as if they really did predict the universe. “Cancer.” Don’t ask her why she knew her own sign. “And a Rat.” Just in case he followed the Chinese zodiac. Not that it really mattered.
“Well I wasn’t gonna put you in a cage so don’t worry I only wanted to talk about that item your holding, like what is it and who’s it for? No reason we have to get the police involved in this right?”
Sara’s ears flicked back and forth as she thought about that one. Hand her to the police, and she had an easier time of getting away… “Nice try, slick.”
“The clock is ticking Sara.”
Sara thought for a moment. Then reached for one of the fake URB ports. Holding it up in the air. “These things don’t tend to like the cold that much.” She warned him in case he really wanted to see the fake list on this one that was comprised mostly of grocery lists. Motioning to his iced out self.
Mean while her breathing had become normal and the wounds had finally closed. Just disappearing scars that seemed to melt back into her and become blended with the rest of her body.
