The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"The first of witch, how cold can those penguins go to? The next is there any way to stop the margarita bombs? And my last one is there any way to identify the fakes from the real bomb? And my last one, how on earth did you come up with this? I though I had an imagination.”
She held up her hand. "In order asked. I'm not totally sure, but you'll know if you go too cold, because they'll start beeping really fast. Considering its Ice Mode, I'm pretty sure they can withstand sub-zero temps. Bomb-wise, once you find it and pick it up, it will pause. Um.... you may have a bit of trouble getting the penguin to let go though. Sticky flippers, ya know." She winked. "Fakes and bombs look almost alike, but there is a small difference. But you'll have to figure that one out yourself." Basically the stem of the Kaboomarita was blue, while the others were clear. But she wasn't going to tell him that.
In answer to his final question, she simply grinned, and placed her sunglasses back over her eyes.
"Hey, when you can't feel fear or adrenaline, you become creative with your entertainment."
"Now, as you know I don't like cold, so I'm going to watch from up there. If you feel the need to stop, just yell it out, and the scenario will freeze. And don't worry, this is just a training exercise, so no danger to you. Usually. Anything else?"
If he didn't, she would head back up to the Observation booth to watch.

Sam smiled he had a plan, and a pretty good one as well, he turned to Neena and said, “No more questions, this is going to be fun.” Sam finished this with a menacing grin aimed towards the penguins. Sam took a breath and activated his powers he decreased his temperature to -60 to start and then he would go from there. “Three minutes right? I might be done before then.” Sam iced up and became cocky; this was what he loved to do.
Sam yelled to Neena “you can start when ever.” Sam started to throw some fists and kicks in order to get pumped up for his trail. He bobbed back and forth waiting for the green light.
“No more questions, this is going to be fun. Three minutes right? I might be done before then.”
"Oooh, confident, aren't we?" she teased. When her words were accompanied by a wisp of foggy breath, she shivered expressively.
“you can start when ever.”
"As you wish. Start scenario." She chuckled, then retreated to the warmth of the Observation Room. And, as she entered, she headed for the coffee pot. Every bit of warmth would be welcome. Once that was started, she straddled a chair to watch the show.

Neena booked out of there fast, Sam chuckled and got ready for this. He looked around to see 30 penguins walking around keeping an eye on him. Sam smiled in a grin and ran into a large group of them and within seconds there was a reaction, the penguins blew flames from their mouth.
If it wasn’t for his quick thinking Sam’s shield would have been melted, he ended up erecting a small bubble of dense ice that surrounded him. The bubble soon melted and as all the penguins blew again, Sam palm trusted the ground, which froze within seconds. Sam smiled as all the little butlers had their feet frozen to the ground, now was the time to make his move. He ran over to the nearest one and froze the beak shut so it couldn’t blow flames. He tried to grab the drink from him but it wouldn’t budge. The other penguins that weren’t frozen started to come closer while still blowing flames.
Sam was getting frustrated, the clock was ticking and he didn’t have a lot of time, “I may not be able to kill you but,” Sam froze the penguins hand and then formed a small dagger, “taking your hand isn’t killing you.” Sam cut clean threw the hand and got the drink. He waited for a second hoping that this would end it. As luck would have it the clock still ticked, he tossed the glass in the air and shot it as it shattered the light reflected off the glass shards and lit up the area, which was just what he needed.
Sam could see, as the room got brighter that all the penguins got in his 20-foot radius. “Neena I hope your watching, cause this is where it ends.” Sam looked to the clock it read two minutes, well that was fine a minute left. Sam lowered his power to -200 and then threw up a wall covering the 20-foot radius so none could escape. Sam started to laugh as the penguins started to beep, “whoops to cold.” He raised his temp to -180, which stopped the beeping but still slowed their movements.
Sam skated to the 5 nearest ones and started to cut of their hands one after another, with ease they came off and Sam caught the glasses. The clock kept ticking none of those was it.
Sam skated around the group of the now 24 potential bomb holders, he dodge the flames with easy as he looked for something different about them. As he skated he looked at the clock again 2.30, thirty seconds to go. Sam kept skating gazing at each one of the butlers when he noticed that the one in the dead center of the group had a blue drink opposed to the clear ones that all the others had.
Sam smiled as he skated straight into the group, flames circled all around him with no effect, he was to cold the fames were put out on contact to Sam’s body. Sam got right next to the blue drink holder, and cut off his hand. “And that’s game.” Sam smiled as he caught the drink and the clock stopped.
“2.59 told you Neena that I would have time to spare.” He smiled as he looked up at the observation deck. “I could have went colder but the penguins didn’t like it to much.”
Neena snerked at Sam's 'handy' approach to the situation. It was quite creative, to say the least, though possibly unnerving to the average person. Of course, Neena didn't count as average, leaving it a moot point.
Every now and then she would check the thermometers. She shivered everytime the temperature dropped. Mentally she made note of the various ways in which he used his mutation. She rubbed at the goosebumps on her arms.
“2.59 told you Neena that I would have time to spare.”
"Oh yeah, plenty of time," she snickered softly to herself. Into the Godmike she replied, "Never doubted ya, m'friend. How about thawing things out?"
She waited for the temp to rise before going back out. She rubbed at her arms furiously. "Where were you born? Antarctica? How can you stand that cold?"
The penguins and other scenery began disappearing, with little hiccups to mark their passing.
"So I'm guessing that you are an icemancer on top of the temp drop, right?

"Oh yeah, plenty of time," she snickered softly to herself. Into the Godmike she replied, "Never doubted ya, m'friend. How about thawing things out?"
When he heard this his power deactivated and the ice in a 20-foot radius shattered to dust.
"Where were you born? Antarctica? How can you stand that cold?"
“No I think I was born in the good’ol Rocky Mountains in Colorado. And regarding the cold I have no idea but it just seems normal to me.” "So I'm guessing that you are an icemancer on top of the temp drop, right?
“I don’t know bout an icemancer, but I just think about it and the ice does what I think.” He looked at the penguins hands on the ground that were soon disappearing “I did an ok job right? I didn’t kill any.” He smiled and said “how many points?”
“No I think I was born in the good’ol Rocky Mountains in Colorado. And regarding the cold I have no idea but it just seems normal to me.”
Neena made a comically sick face. "Remind me to wear a parka we ever work out together." She shuddered again.
“I don’t know bout an icemancer, but I just think about it and the ice does what I think.”
"That's an icemancer," she chuckled.
“I did an ok job right? I didn’t kill any. How many points?”
"Well, if any wildlife conservationists ever get ahold of that video, you may be fried. But yeah, you did good. Interesting way of getting around the rules. And since de-handing, or de-flippering, doesn't count as 'killing', you ended with full points." She snicked, and grinned. "Way to look at the big picture, Sam."
Likely there would be others that didn't agree with her reasoning. However, Neena tended to look at the big picture. If you were going by damage caused, then yeah, Sam failed rather badly. But 'injured' did not qualify as 'dead', and rules clearly said 'dead' was a bad thing. Besides, if taking an injury meant saving someone else's life in the real world, she would cut her own hand off in a heartbeat.
Her cellphone beeped at her, reminding her about her class. Chip had programed in the calender; she wasn't fond of that annoying blip though....
"Well, that's a start, m'friend." She tilted her head happily. "I've got class in a bit, so I can't finish. But if you still want to continue afterwards, you know where to find me, right?"
He had the control and power, both of which the team could use. But he was new to the school. It would take some time and effort to prove himself. If he wanted to join at all. Time could change many things. But at least he had made a good start.

Sam smiled and almost jumped that was the first time he was ever praised for doing a job well done. In the past when he accomplished his objective they would just say, get some rest and return in 0100 hours. Not really the positive feed back that Sam loved. But when Neena said that he was truly happy.
"Well, that's a start, m'friend." She tilted her head happily. "I've got class in a bit, so I can't finish. But if you still want to continue afterwards, you know where to find me, right?"
“Absolutely I want to continue.” He said this with a big and excited grin on his face. Sam then nodded as he said, “I would probably find you here right?” Sam asked in curiosity. He was really happy for the first time since Lee, he actually had a goal to strive for now.
Well, no doubt there, it seemed. She couldn't have received a more positive response if she'd given a kitten some catnip. Especially considering how down he'd been just an hour earlier. Even though she smiled outwardly like always, inside Neena's mental grin widened. The Mansion residents she considered her family, all of them. She knew that the world in general rejected them for their uniqueness, so she made the extra effort to extend the friendship and love they may be missing. It just added that extra bit of determination when she saw someone respond to her efforts.
“I would probably find you here right?”
She nodded. "Yep. Though if I'm not here, check the roof. Or the trees." She had a habit of climbing to high points on the Mansion Grounds, then falling asleep. Kind of like a monkey. Or an ape. Didn't orangatans live in trees too? They were know for clowning around. Maybe she should dye her hair red....
She shook her head, focusing on the youth in front of her. She held out her hand to shake. "All right, it's a date. But no stealing kisses on this one. Lee's not the only one with a quick kick."
