The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

He decided that today was not a good day to make a memory of his first time at the zoo, so he decided to go back to the mansion to vent on some stalker bots down in the danger room.
It has been a few days since he had possibly the worst date he has ever been on. For some reason he still wasn’t feeling like himself, he was obviously off his game and couldn’t figure out why. So he did what he usually does in these situations goes to a vacant location and uses his powers. Lucky for him he was staying at the X-Mansion, and the mansion was equipped with the danger room.
Sam woke up early skipped breakfast, (which is rarely done) and decided to run his way to the danger room. He looked at the sights around the grounds and realized that despite what happened he had never been happier he now had a place to call home and it was a beautiful place at that.
It took him longer than usually to get to the danger room but it was still early enough to get in there without any distractions. He walked in stretching, and jumping around. He tightens his basketball shoes and his shorts, and lost the shirt. He had already gone through over 20 shirts thanks to the danger and he didn’t feel like losing any more.
Once he was at the center of the room he said “Computer can I get a New York City brawl, no civilians.” He programmed this scenario two days before along with his music from his Ipod. This was by far his favorite scenario he could wreck havoc in the danger room and it wouldn’t matter. This game of his consisted of simulated thugs and stalker bots.
The scene was set; it started with Sam completely surrounded by a bunch of average humans, with fists knifes, pipes and chains. Sam’s Ipod was on shuffle and it started off with Mozart’s Requiem. Despite it being a classic song Sam still got pumped when ever he heard it.
Neena yawned as she headed toward the Danger Room. She'd spent the previous night awake and skulking around the grounds on the Night Watch. She had a class with the younger students in the early afternoon, and really should have been heading to bed, or at least to breakfast before that. But her recent loss of her stealthy edge bothered her, and pushed her to hone her skills once more. She hadn't had a chance to take an evening off and stake out one of the local businesses for a nighttime raid. So the Danger Room had to suffice.
She palmed open the door with one hand, at the same moment another yawn overtook her. She removed her glasses with the momentum of the stretch, then rubbed her eyes.
She was several long strides into the room before she realized she'd walked in on someone else's exercise.
She blinked several times, focusing on the commotion around her. Someone had activated Melee Mode, and was going at it in the center of the battle. Her eyes narrowed a bit as she made out the holographic outline of the Stalker bots. She had disliked adding them to the holo-scenarios, but she couldn't argue against it. They were good for testing power limits and endurance, unfortunately.
She'd wandered far enough in that the computer decided she was also a participant. A pair of nearby humans came at her, one armed with a knife. She sighed, and walked toward them. One of them aimed a punch at her middrift. She twirled in the same direction the hit came from, letting it slide harmlessly behind her, and kept walking. The knife slash aimed higher, for her head, and was just as easily ducked. She continued on in this manner, ducking and dodging attacks as they came, and leaving some confused assailants behind her. They must not have been programmed for intelligence in this scenario.
She drew closer to the center of the battle, and paused on the outskirts of the main battle. She twisted and ducked a slash from the right, noticing as she did there was a crumbling wall nearby. Taking a run leap, and timing the jump to leap over some blockhead swinging a pipe, she pushed off one side of the wall, then the other, then the opposite side again. The resulting momentum 'walked' her up to the top of the wall. She balanced easily atop it, hands in her pockets.
"Mornin'!" she called out to Sam. "Having fun?" Her carefree smile balanced on her face as easily as she balanced on the wall.

The crescendo of the music just happened as the chorus of men and women were singing he dodged hit after hit, he started throwing punches like a berserker. One after another he knocked the guys down. One after another they got up and kept coming, this was just what he needed. Nonstop fighting to take his mind off Lee. She really did a number on him.
Sam was yelling with each hit putting more and more power behind each one till he hit his peak, before using his mutations. Sam noticed someone else hitting his targets from afar he was a little upset that someone intruded on his training. Neena made he appearance dodging hit after hit and spoke to Sam.
“Mornin, Having fun?” Asked Neena
Right before Sam was about to answer a guy grabbed him from behind and was trying to pull him off his feet, Sam was in no mode to be bested by the hologram he took a step closer to the guy and pivoted having the guy trip and using his own hip Sam simulated a catapult with the guy and he flew into another hologram.
Responding to Neena sound as nice he could “Having a blast”. Sam then jumped to the nearest hologram kneed him to the nose knocking him down the hologram instantly. Sam got hit in the side with a knife and started to lose it a bit. He jumped to the guy to land on his shoulders and started beating him in the head over and over again till he was on the ground. Sam couldn’t place it but he was so worked up and didn’t know why.
One eyebrow arched upward. That had practically come out as a growl. This was not the Sam she had greeted not so long ago. That Same had been calm and friendly, if a bit unsure of his surroundings. The Sam wailing around on the holograms below had issues. Major issues, if Neena had to judge by action.
She was not in the habit of interrupting others' training without reason, and since her intrusion had been accidental, she opted not to help him fight, and simply watched.
The computer still viewed her as a target, however, and several of the humans had begun an attempt to scale the wall after her. She glanced down at them for a brief moment. From her pocket she extracted a little round marble. From her understanding, ninjas used them as smoke screens. That was fine and all, but so dull. So Neena had modified hers into a pepper bomb. Squatting down like a frog, she hit the marble on the wall to crack the casing, then dropped it into the midst of the the climbers, releasing a cloud of red pepper powder.
<"Chew on that, boys,"> she thought to herself idly.
She turned her attention back to the fight in time to see Sam fall to beating on one of the humans. Her eyes narrowed slightly in both concern and displeasure.
Preoccupied as he was, she doubted he noticed the hissing, alien-like robot advancing quickly on him.
Still, she remained silent, her near-white-eyed gaze sharp.

The music changed to something a little more up beat, it was by linkin park the song was called bleed it out. Sam was going berserk he materialized a Bo Staff made of ice and started taking three to four humans out at a time. He was ready to do a thrust with the pole until he heard a Stalker appeared. This was the reason he wanted the danger room. Sam started to laugh almost an evil laugh he was having flash backs to his old life, the one where it was survival, not the one now.
The music changed again from Linkin Park to The Killers: This River is wild. He was glad he uploaded his ipod to the danger room. The stalkers hissed and started to walk from the crowd towards Sam. He threw the Staff and it went clean through the Stalker. Sam called “computer pull the humans I want more robots.” Sam watched, as the humans slowly formed into Stalkers there were a few hundred. Sam grined and formed a Hammer a very big one. It resembled the large mallets used in the cartoons. One after another Sam crushed a stalker. It was like he was playing wack-a-mole with robots.
Sam’s eyes started to glow bright Blue, his anger was growing. Sam was taking them out but there was to many and the hammer was to heavy, Sam got kicked in the back of the head and then lost it. He was now angry he got up and covered his body in ice. He was ready to blow. He lowered the temperature in a 20-foot radius. He could see Neena and she was watching him like a hawk. Luckily she was out of range from the power.
Sam had gotten significantly stronger since the first stalker he fought and he was now aware of the weakness. The area around Sam began to freeze as stalker after stalker started to pile on top of Sam throwing punches and kicks, no matter how strong he got they still hurt. Adrenaline kicked in and he was getting creative with his body casing of ice. Sam got on all fours giving himself sharp horns and razor claws and a spiked tale, he wanted to see how his new idea worked offensively, he started to fight like a blood thirsty animal. Tale slash, horn stabs and claws, each one sliced threw the robots as they started to shoot lasers and bullets. That when Sam started to slow down a bit. He didn’t’ even bother defending he purposely ran in two beams to take out one bot. He was defiantly not himself.
A moment passed while the computer matched Neena's voice to its files, and acknowledged her authority. Abruptly, everything froze in place, except for Sam. Still holding onto the wall, she gave her feet a calculated push, propelling them up and over her head. She landed out of the flip in a crouch, hands and feet beneath her, then popped back up to two feet.
She strode purposefully toward the ice wielder, taking all the little details as she moved; glowing eyes, heavy breathing, the growing chill in the area immediately around him. Goosebumps from the frigid air stood out on her skin.
"All right, Bull Boy. What's going on?" She didn't yell or snap at him, but kept her tone even and neutral. She could tell something was wrong, but until she knew what, she couldn't properly react.

Why did she stop the simulation? Why was she coming over here? She wanted to know what’s wrong. That’s why she was coming over here, was it that obvious? Sam looked at her breathing heavily and noticed he had horns made of ice, which was weird cause he rarely ever did. She was getting closer and it looked like she was about to talk, if she got any closer she would probably get a cold. Sam stretched his hands and deactivated his powers. As he was doing this Neena spoke.
There were a lot of things that came to mind, but the first thing that came to mind was Lee. He immediately got defensive. “What makes you think anything is wrong?” Sam thought that was a stupid question to ask, it was obvious he wasn’t himself at all. He was stuck in a rut for some reason and he couldn’t get out. He didn’t want to sound mean to the one person that offered him a home so he took a deep breath, “Sorry, didn’t mean to snap.”
"Oh, I dunno," she replied casually. "Maybe the whole 'Ice Matador' getup. The glowing blue eyes. The fact that it feels colder than Antarctica in your immediate area. Not to mention the 'going berzerk on an endless group of humans and robots' scenario ya got goin' here."
She leaned up against one of the frozen robots. " 'course, I could just be imagining things."
“Sorry, didn’t mean to snap.”
She straightened up, crossed her arms and tilted her head. "Care to share?" she asked quietly.

Sam was caught and like he thought it was fairly obvious. Neena was worried about him, which he wasn’t used to. She wanted to know what was wrong, which again he wasn’t used to. She also wanted to listen which he wasn’t used to. Sam didn’t really want to say what was wrong he wasn’t really big on sharing his feelings. Not that he thought that only girls share feeling, the fact of the matter was he never actually had anyone to talk to about hi feelings. Sam hated to feel like he had a weakness. “Well to be honest,” Sam hesitated he decided against the entire truth only part of it, ”over the past few days I felt like I have been in a rut. It feels like I can’t get out of it no matter what I do.” Sam looked down at the ground in shame, he then looked around and saw simulated robots crushed and what looked like blood, it was probably oil. “and I am not really sure what I should do.” He sat down on the ground and let out a deep breath.
“Well to be honest, over the past few days I felt like I have been in a rut. It feels like I can’t get out of it no matter what I do. And I am not really sure what I should do.”
Neena glanced at the frozen scenario. "That's one canyon of a rut...." she remarked bluntly.
She walked closer to him, climbed up on the nearest robot, and sat down, swinging her legs like a little girl.
"Well, I'm not much of a psychologist, but my first guess would be to find out what's been different in the past few days. Any new news from home? Wreck a car, or watch a car wreck? Meet someone new? Someone discover your pet peeve and get under your skin? Someone bombarding you with too many questions?" She winked at that last inquiry.
"Computer, water bottles please."
A hole opened in the floor and two water bottles appeared from its depths. She nodded toward him. He looked like he use the refreshment.

Sam looked at her after taking the water and taking a sip. “You pretty much got it head on.” Said Sam with a small grin on his face. Sam never told her about his family or lack of, but he was more worried about the task at hand. “Well I haven’t got a home, but that’s not it. Met someone and for some reason she got to me.” Sam blushed a little when he thought of Lee, he closed his eyes for a second and saw her face then the image of Lee started to cry and walk away.
Sam let out a sigh and threw an icicle at the nearest hologram of the robot and it shattered.

Sam remembered the first time he met her. “Chinese restaurant, I would say it was a good start. Started off like those corny movies, I bumped into her knocked her over and offered to make it up to her by buying her dinner.” Sam smiled it sounded even cornier than I did in his head. Remembering the events that happened made Sam choke for a second, he took another gulp of his water. The rest of the night seemed like a dream to him things happened so fast and so slow at the same time.
“We talked for a bit, family, friends, job, you know dinner talk.” Sam paused he wasn’t sure if Neena would approve of what was going to be told next. “After that I got distracted with a street bawl outside. It was over a mutant and well, she went to go stop it, and I followed.” Sam smiled at this point this was when he found out she was a mutant. “There was a fight and one thing led to another and well one our biggest secrets were exposed to each other, she is a mutant as well.” Sam didn’t feel right about saying she was a mutant it would be an insult to Lee. Whenever Sam though of a mutant it was some hideous being, not a human, and especially not Lee. Then Sam started to wind the story up, “after that we left, I gave her my number and asked her out for another date, she said she would think about it.” Sam couldn’t exactly remember what she said so he paraphrased a bit. Sam now lay completely on the ground using his hands for a headrest.
“Chinese restaurant, I would say it was a good start. Started off like those corny movies, I bumped into her knocked her over and offered to make it up to her by buying her dinner. We talked for a bit, family, friends, job, you know dinner talk.”
Neena didn't say anything, even in teasing, simply listened.
“After that I got distracted with a street bawl outside. It was over a mutant and well, she went to go stop it, and I followed.”
"Sounds like a winner," she remarked, again noting that subtle smile.
“There was a fight and one thing led to another and well one our biggest secrets were exposed to each other, she is a mutant as well.”
Did she detect a hint of a wince when he said that? Curious....
"After that we left, I gave her my number and asked her out for another date, she said she would think about it.”
"Hm. That sounded all good to me. So, between then and now, something destruction-worthy happened." She paused to think for a moment. "Umm.... she hasn't called back yet? Or you found out she's married?"
She wasn't sure if that would warrant the bash-fest, but some men took rejection rather badly. She had a few scars to prove that point. She didn't know Sam well enough to make a judgment call on that issue, thus the question.

Sam laughed, it was the first time he smiled and actually meant it. “No Neena she isn’t married and she did call back.” Sam hesitated, not sure if he was up for telling the story how Sam made Lee cry, and then she rejected him. He took a deep breath thinking maybe he could get a woman’s’ perspective.
“We went out for a second date, well at least I called it a date.” He paused and let those words sink in as he said them; she really wasn’t ready to date again. He took a deep breath then a sip of water again and continued, “met for coffee in the park and walked around. We needed up going to the zoo for the first time in my life, which was sweet.” Sam paused again and said, “well at the time I thought this would be a riot but I was super wrong.” He decided not to talk about Lee’s siphon so he changed his words around a bit, “I kinda stole a kiss from her.” He then started to sound like he had resentment in his voice, “that made her cry and then the date went down hill from there.”
