The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Oh, thank god." Gawain got up and poured himself a large mug of coffee. It was not healthy to run on pure caffeine, and yet here he was. He had never been a big consumer before, but having a toddler, and... the past two months had made a convincing argument.
His face lit up, however, when Skye walked in. She was bringing donuts, and was... somewhat covered in them, glowing purple. Still, it was the first time Gawain saw her more than in passing since the battle. She used to be his trainee, before everything. There was a hint of guilt in him for abandoning her. She looked... less rough than he did. Still, he got up to offer her a smile and a hug. "Hey Skye. Welcome back."

The number of people was growing quickly and the smells in the air were beginning to excite her advanced sense of smell. She smiled as Sam addressed her and nodded. "I did, this will be fun" she said wondering if this was done often. Though from Praxi's words she guessed not but she did like the idea. Shin liked the OJ she brought which made her happier. She was feeling useful. A number of faces she had not seen much of though most were familiar enough that she knew their names.
She thought about offering a hand but seeing the ice clone cooking she assumed they had it covered. "Morning Ms Sundance" she said thinking if half her teachers came to these things she was going to have to do better on attending class. Still she knew despite the jovialness of this all it was an important day.
She kept track of her tail to make sure it knocked nothing off any tables. She waived to skye as she took in the scene around her. She poured herself a glass of orange juice. "I agree Eupraxia, you remind me of jell-o" she said as a joke as her ears twitched at the noises all around her.

It was weird having this many people on the team in the room and not be in the war room or prepping to get into the X-jet. It was weird but nice. They were the closest thing Sam had to an actual family seeing this many people he trusted with his life (and Carrick) in the same room. The icemancer had a smirk on his face he had a hard time getting rid of. Even if the mansion was still in the middle of the repairs.
The iceclone who was flipping bacon reached in and flipped the last bit of the meat making sure it was crispy. No one liked soggy bacon. From across the room Sam waved his hand over to the clone who finished putting the last bit on a plate and brough it over to the table with the other food and set it before breaking down into smaller ice crystals and fading away.
Sipping his coffee, he found a place towards the head of the table. Not the head of the table but next to it. The head of the table was for the leader of the team, a position Sam didn’t think he had earned. Nor did he want the job. He was better off leading a smaller team, that was where he belonged.
Setting his mug down Sam counted the chairs, then looked back to his phone and figured out how many extra ones they would need. Lenna wasn’t coming either. One less chair but he made note to mention the young telekenetic so the others knew who was on the team.
Now was the waiting game for everyone to finish cooking and setting up before the breakfast could begin.

He turned as another person entered the room. They were soggy on one side, and covered in sprinkles. They had a box of donuts.
“Hi!” He said. He… had general knowledge of who Skye was, even if they had never really had any training sessions together, or any Marvelous team ups. They were the person who had flashed the big bad, and blinded them. Yup. The mighty flasher. Real dazzling stuff. Like a fireworks jubilee.
>> "I feel like this could get messy real quick, unless you want to make everyone shard-forks and triangle knives."
He turned. “If it comes to that, you all can wait. I’ll fly to the store.” He was not making mental cutlery. It seemed dirty to have his mind in their mouths.
He handed a roll of paper towels to the damp Skye. “The good thing about sprinkles is you can wipe them off.” The frosting… might stain. But at least she could dry off. “I’ll hold the donuts while you clean up.” He offered.
Regardless of whether she gave him the donuts or not, they would find themselves opened on the table at its very head. Everyone knew the True leader of the X-men: their stomachs.
Shin took a jelly filled.
Then, he sat down. “Help yourselves.” His pancakes were ready on the serving station. With fixings. He had already made himself a plate with cakes and the now-ready bacon.
