The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Forlorn, the tall blonde trainee stared down at the ground as Andrea tried to cheer him up. He perked up, however, when she mentioned that a year was a short time, and that she couldn't wait to see how his powers grew. "Yeah, me too! I really wanted to be a part of the team, so when Shin let me join him on a mission I was stoked! Then Mirror trained me a bit, too! It's been awesome!"
His perking was quickly deperked as Megan mentioned the... card collection game. His face turned beet red as he sat there, staring blankly forward.
Had he... blue screened? Oh my god. What if Elke saw his nudes?! It was bad enough, people walking around with them, but if she saw a girl with one, she'd kill the girl, and then kill him! That was two people dead over a misunderstanding! Slowly, his head ticked toward Megan. "You... Uhm... You... What? J- Joking, it's a joke, right?!"
She didn't blink, not once, as he turned to look at her. "I do not joke." Or, at the very least, not with him.
She could however take pity on him. "I assumed you knew, seeing as they are virtually all over the place. Right up there with the pictures of Cold Steel in circulation. Apparently, I am mistaken." She polished off the rest of her meatshake real quick, heading over to deposit it by the sink helpfully, and started walking out of the room.
"I am going to assume then, that the pictures are being circulated without your consent and thus whenever I come across one I will confiscate it and have the one in possession of it reprimanded." Back to work it seemed! It had been a nice little break from homework and spying, too.
"And don't worry about me having your various nudes. You are in every way, shape, and form not my type and I have absolutely zero sexual interest in you. I will return your pictures to you when I have gathered up the lot of them." She paused just before walking out the door and tossed in a little something else without turning to look back.
"Also, before I go, I had been meaning to tell you that the one slipping confession notes and those chocolates you hate into your locker is Lilly, from 2nd period. She's planning on confessing her feelings to you soon, apparently, so I would suggest you think up a few ways in which to let her down gently. She's an ugly crier."
With that, and without looking back or bidding them farewell, the hard haired teenager left the kitchen and was off.
Andrea was having a very hard time keeping her mouth shut with what was being currently discussed. She desperately wanted to go back to talking about Xavier's future with the X-men and not... uhm... his apparent picture collection? She watched, mute and flustered, as Megan spouted off a bunch of facts and what had apparently been secrets, and then left without so much as a backwards glance.
After a beat, "...Well... it is nice to see that she has not changed a whole lot even with being age regressed. Still as short and to the point as ever."
She shook herself, washing up the last dish that Megan had left, and then dried her gloves on a towel by the sink. "I... will have a talk with a few people, discreetly, about this, um... game. You shouldn't need to worry about it for too much longer." The Greek was frowning though, thoughts running off on their own without something singular to focus on.
"I am so sorry you are already experiencing that side of being a public figure... People are so excited to pounce upon fresh faces around here and sexualize them whether they appreciate it or not." She had seen how it had happened to pretty much all of the X-men as soon as they became public figures, sometimes even before they were appropriately of age. A failing of society in her opinion.
"If you would like, I have friends who happen to be journalists. I could put in a good word for you and see if they might be able to run some positive stories to help drown out any unscrupulous editorials?"
She didn't know exactly how old he was seeing as he was quite large, but he certainly had a youthful glow to his face still. She didn't want to see that light darkened even a bit.
