The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

So, he'd gotten the talk when he was a kid, and... Honestly, his parents had been going through a rough patch at the time, and wow... Had he been WAY off. I mean, the basics were there, sure, but wow.
Needless to say, yesterday afternoon, night, midnight after a short nap, and just like, 20 minutes ago had been great! He had the biggest smile on his face as he finished cooking two french omelets with cheese. He hummed to himself as he turned around in the kitchen to see Elke had gotten up. She was wearing one of his shirts and stretching with proper technique.
Wow. That was adorable.
He smiled again, and walked up to his little studying table, turning around in his super hero apron, the only thing he was wearing, and looking to her.
"Breakfast is ready! Oh, she was checking her phone. Did she look worried?
CRRRRRASH! Something, or rather, someone burst through the window.

At first, he was irritated. Megan had let him know what was going on, of course, and he figured a rousing bout of vigilanteism would allow his daughter to blow off some steam, so he permitted it.
Did he like her taking a boy along? Not really... And it was that boyscout, too. The... one she'd stabbed. Why had he gotten a bit of a pit in his stomach when he'd found out? Right, he felt sorry for the poor kid. He had no idea what he was getting into. That was it, right? I mean, if the criminals she was hunting didn't do the job, his daughter would.
They would have the death of a student on their hands. He told Megan to take a trip and keep an eye on them, just in case.
He got back to the little one, and, before too long, had to focus on making dinner. It was a dinner with a notably cold and uneaten plate. Saphirus sat at the dinner table, looking to JR, who was passed out in his high chair, and then to the empty plate across the table. With a low grumble he brushed the plate off into the trash, walking past a clone to pick up their empty plate and pickung up the little guy to put him in his beddy before doing the dishes.
He'd called. He'd called a lot. He'd gone to sleep worried and angry. Finally, in the morning he got a text from Megan... You're not going to like this. Along with an address.
Was that address familiar?
No, it wasn't important. What was important, was that his daughter was in trouble. One quick drop off with Colin later he was on his way to the reported address. Soon, an apartment number popped up. His eyes damn near popped out of his head when he pulled up to the junky apartment building... Oh #@$%, his daughter wasn't just ditching, she was in real trouble! Had she been captured?! What about the new kid? Was he really dead?!
He counted and made a judgement call on which window was the one Megan had pointed out in her text. It wasn't long before he had enough energy to send himself flinging through the window at a high speed, crowbar ready to break some fools for laying a hand on his daughter! There weren't enough criminals in the world to stop him!
There... were no criminals. He stood, shattered glass under foot, crowbar clenched in his grasp... to see his daughter wearing only a shirt... standing there. Not tied up, not restrained...
And the new kid... standing there holding a spatula... wearing only an apron. Not dead at all. Just mostly naked.
Dust and chunks of glass settled and Elke stood there for a beat with her fists up waiting to pummel some new foe, when she realized it wasn't some dumb villain.
... it was worse.
It was her dad.
The fact that she was wearing only a large superhero-themed t-shirt and the newly created breeze was brushing against her legs was.. painfully hard to ignore all of the sudden. She literally tensed even more than she had the day previous while grappling with hardened criminals.
"...Dad..."
It didn't even register at first that Xavier was still there and more naked than she was until she happened to glance at him and saw him standing stiff as a board holding his spatula still.
Ah, @#$%.
"You coulda used the door, you know." Not that she cared about the window a whole lot. Wasn't her room, wasn't her problem.
"...uh.... Want some breakfast??" Was there broken glass in the food now? Maybe. It probably didn't matter since it was on the floor now anyway.
Juniper was awoken from a dead sleep on her couch by the loudest crash she had heard over in Xavier's apartment, like, ever. She sat up, registered the sound of broken glass, and stumbled into her kitchen for the heavy cast iron pan she'd bought and never used.
Had someone broken in?! Was X even over there?!
The phaser, now sorta armed, hopped through their joining wall and landed on his couch, pan raised like she was gonna take a swing at someone... and then she froze like a deer in headlights.
... Was that?
Oh god.
The @#$%ing masochist was standing in a pile of glass in front of a broken window. And... holy @#$% was that the girl she'd punched? His daughter? Why was she wearing-
...
"...Nope." Her improvised weapon lowered a bit as she bit an eyeful of Xavier's hiney in nothing but his cooking apron. Her expression went flat, eyes blank, as she was active in the process of trying to block this out and erase it from her brain.
"It's too @#$&in' early for this, Xavier..."
And with that, Juniper turned and yeeted herself right back through the wall like she hadn't just stumbled across one of the whackiest meetings in history.
... Maybe this was a nightmare? Yeah. Probably. One two many bottles of wine last night... that had to be it.
He may or may not have been in a state of shock. His window. Was busted in. Wait, that wasn't super important. What was it? Oh, right.
The Masochist had jumped through it. That was important. The shorter, but very intimidatingly built man looked around the room. Xavier saw him look at Elke, then him. His gaze didn't leave Xavier. He said Moose. Was there a moose somewhere? That didn't make sense.
His mouth opened to ask the only question he could think of... Why are you here? Elke's voice beat him to the punch.
The words she said caused him to freeze in place, a symptom of the chill that ran down his spine. Dad, she called him.
Elke. Was the Masochists daughter. Why did that suddenly make perfect sense?
His eyes wandered over to the young woman. She was wearing his blue torch magma man team up T. That was is. He... Was mostly naked. He stepped behind the chair. This was bad.
Oh god. This was... very bad. Juniper floated into the room. His eyes went wide, and he resisted reaching out to latch on to her so she could take him with her as she noped right out.
Elke sassed her dad. Probably not a good idea. She then offered him breakfast. Xavier looked down at the food on the floor. "I. Um. Should I leave?"

"You ain't going a damn place." His face was starting to turn red, wasn't it. "Put some @#$%ing clothes on."
Xavier vanished immediately to accost his dresser and bolt into the bathroom. Saphirus turned his attention on Moose before he gave in to watching to punch the stupid boy.
"And you... I give you one inch, and you take a freakin mile. I was worried about you. Made you dinner. Thought you might be late when you sent your clones. I was worried, but I trusted that you knew what you were doing. That you would do the right thing."
He looked to the bathroom, where the young man was getting dressed. "Clearly, I made the wrong call. No more sneaking out on house arrest. You're done." He looked to her, and pointed a shaking hand at the closed bathroom door.
"That. What ever that was. Is DONE. Now get dressed, we're leaving. It's that, or I beat up a parakeet."
Xavier hesitantly stepped out of the bathroom, He had Elke's clothes as well. She'd, uh, gotten dressed to leave a few times, but. Well, that didn't matter right now. He gave Elke a hesitant look, unsure of what to do.
Dad layed into her, which wasn't abnormal by any stretch. He yelled about her missing dinner, about not texting him... yeah, things she did feel a bit bad about. He had to worry about her more than your average teenager, after all.
But, then he started creeping over lines that weren't to be crossed, and soon her face was just as red as his, and she had squared up to her full height to match him.
"Excuse me?! Her voice rose to match his level. There was about to be a screaming match the likes this block hadn't ever seen. "I am 8 @#$&in teen! You might have some control over where I go right now, but you have NO BUISSNESS trying to tell me who I can or can't see!"
Was he trying to piss her off explicitly?? The teen stepped up so she could be nose to nose with her father and look him in the eyes. Who did he think he was trying to tell her who she could be around or sleep with?!
"I've got news for you, pops, I'm not gonna stop seeing him, because you have no control over that. He's my boyfriend, so you are just going to have to suck it up and get over yourself!"
Did she look smug and happy with herself right then, possibly at the expense of both other people in the room with her?
If it was something she could use to knock her dad down off of his high horse, then yes. She was as smug as could be in that moment.
The measure of fear he felt stepping back into that room was... unreal. Like. He wasn't actually that scared walking into a crime scene and fighting criminals, mutant or not.
But the Masochist? Mad about you sleeping with his daughter? The fear that he might not be able to see her again after last night? All of those were terrifying, even if the last one was just as confusing.
He heard through the door that Saphirus didn't want her seeing him again. He frowned, and stepped out. What could he say? That he was sorry? That it was all his fault? He should have stopped her, after all. He could have said no when she kissed him. It just felt... so... good?
Now, it was all over.
That was, until Elke responded. Loudly. His eyes widened as she called him her boyfriend, and he looked between them as Saph looked his way with wide, angry eyes. His heart was going wild! This was a thing! THEY were a thing! They hadn't talked about it at all(or talked much of anything, really), but, there it was! He found himself smiling, and then quickly dropping it when he noticed Saph was staring at him.
Oh god. She said that last sentence, and he stepped back with his hands up as Saph stepped toward him. His teeth clenched, and fists ready to swing. The older man thought twice before striking a minor, though, and looked to Elke. "We are leaving. Now. We'll talk about this on the ride home. Kid, I'll pay for your window. Don't... Don't @#$^ing look at me. I can't beleive this shit... 30 seconds to get your stuff, Moose." He said as he turned and walked out the front door, slamming it loudly.
Xavier let out a breath, having forgotten how to breathe for a moment. "Well... That was terrifying."
Adrenaline was pumping. At this point, it was almost guaranteed that someone was gonna get in a tussle, and honestly, she'd be a little disappointed if she wasn't involved somehow. Screw what she was wearing, that wasn't going to stop her from trying to get a few good punches in! It had been waaaay too long since her dad and her had last gone at it.
Her chosen words seemed to work as intended. Fire ignited in her dad's eyes and he focused all that rage solely on Xaiver, which was a little disappointing when Xavier didn't seem up for a fight like she was... But, then her dad backed down.
Elke full-on pouted like a child at his back and crossed her arms. Damnit. Just when things had been getting good!
She didn't have much ground to argue about leaving... unless she wanted to spend a few nights in a jail cell when someone else noticed she was off school property. Her dad stomped out and she was left in the room with Xavier.
"Eh, you get used to it." She didn't seem too ruffled about it after he had left. Maybe a bit disappointed, actually. Xavier still had her clothes, so she stripped and tossed his shirt back at him. SHe didn't bother putting on everything and just stuffed any extras back into her bag.
"I'd be careful though and watch your back. He can hold a grudge for quite a while."
After wiggling her shoes on and slipping on her backpack and quiver, she turned to go.
And then paused.
Oh, right. She'd said he was her boyfriend now, hadn't she?
"Don't forget that we're dating now, so if you fuck around I'll destroy you." Not that she necessarily thought that he would, he was basically still a boy scout after all, but the warning still needed to be put out there in the air. Necessary precaution and all that.
She paused a moment longer, as if considering what to do, and then marched across the room to grab him by the shirt and drag him into another kiss.
... and then she turned and left without so much as a goodbye. Her dad had only given her 30 seconds, after all.
The echoes of the two of them loudly bitching at each other carried up from the street below as they headed out.
What... Just happened. No, seriously, what had the last 24 hours of his life even been? Was he really watching a woman he'd just... you know, with pout a bit when her did didn't try to kick his ass?!
What was going on?! She stated that he would get used to it. She took her shirt off. Jesus. What the actual- she told him to watch his back, and a look of concern passed onto his face.
She threatened to destroy him if he....F'ed around? He didn't even have the capacity to do that, honestly. She kissed him again.
He stood there as she walked out. He stood there for a while, honestly; the would be X lingered long after their shouting voices faded in the distance.
After a while he looked up at the ceiling, and then down at the floor, and then over to his mirror.
Wow. He had a girlfriend. He had an X-Man who was probably going to kill him.
