Character

Personality: She’s a bit of a goof in her down time, she likes having fun, playing video games, and hanging out with friends. But Allyssa is able to buckle down and get serious when necessary, such as when doing work or labs. She will tell it like it is when she needs to, but won’t go out of her way to say something to hurt someone. She is loyal to her friends, almost to a fault, but it can sometimes take a while for people to reach that level of friendship with Allyssa. Family used to be very important to Allyssa, but after how they treated her, she’s realized that the family you choose is much more important.
Hobbies/ Interests: Allyssa is a geek. She likes things like superhero movies, fantasy novels, and video games.
Job or part time job and description: She’s part way through school for chemical engineering, though currently she is working at a coffee shop.

History Of Your Character
Allyssa grew up the only child to Daniel Stathakis, a factory worker, and Anne. But her mother ran a daycare at home, so Allyssa had no lack of playmates as a young child.

Growing up, Allyssa was always good at math and loved learning new things. By the time she got to highschool, Allyssa had discovered a love of chemistry and video games. Taking a number of AP classes, Allyssa spent a lot of time doing homework, though she always made sure to make time for her friends, and unwound playing video games.

It was also around this time that she realized the guys her friends found interesting held no appeal to her. Instead, she found herself more drawn to to her friends than to the boys in school. It wasn’t until Allyssa went off to study chemical engineering at college in New York City that she found other girls looking at her the same way she imagined she had likely looked at some of the girls in high school.

And so Allyssa studied hard at school, but she also played hard, hanging out with her new found friends as well as exploring the world of dating. However, in her third year of school, Allyssa brought a girl she’d kind of been seeing home with her for Thanksgiving. Though Allyssa hadn’t ever told her parents that she liked girls, that fact was blatantly obvious when her mother walked in on Allyssa and Michelle making out on Allyssa’s bed.

That had definitely not been the way Allyssa had wanted her parents to find out. Though, there was really nothing to prepare Allyssa for their reaction: her father had kicked both Michelle and Allyssa out of the house a day earlier than planned, and phone call home a few days later informed Allyssa that her father was not paying her next semester’s tuition. Allyssa was completely shocked, but after the shock wore off, she became angry. Then she went to find herself a job. Though she knew that it wouldn’t help her pay for her tuition a month later, Allyssa has every intention of completing her degree, whether her parents would support her or not.

Sample RP:
Allyssa should have been studying for midterms, like all of her roommates were at the moment, but instead Allyssa was heading to work. Even three months later, she still couldn’t believe how her parents had reacted. Sure, it hadn’t been ideal for them to find out that she liked girls by having her mom walk in on her and Michelle making out, but that hadn’t meant they had to cut her off completely.

No matter what, that thought caused Allyssa to grumble. Though, Allyssa was doing a better job as time went on not thinking about it. She hadn’t even talked to her parents in two months. And in their absence, Allyssa’s roommates had been her rock during all of this.

Walking into work, Allyssa hung her stuff up in the back and got herself ready to punch in. At least for the next six months, this was going to be her normal, even if she didn’t like it. But she was going to finish her degree, one way or another, and unfortunately at this point, this job was part of that.

At least she had a girl’s night out after work to look forward to.

And so with a sigh, Allyssa punched in and stepped out front. ”What can I get you?”
