The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Just Me, My Sweetheart, and a Pair of Gloves (Blaine)
It was slow, making their way to the bed, what with her ankle and the fact that not once did the kiss break. Now that, that was impressive.
But Lee wasn't thinking about that, the kiss Blaine was giving her… And how tight his arms were around her, feeling as though he were trying to pull her even closer to him than she currently was. Lee's heart felt like it was going to beat or of her chest
And then they were at the edge of the bed, and Blaine was sitting down, breaking the kiss. Just looking at him for a moment, Lee's breath caught in her throat. Was he looking as excited, as eager, as she felt?
Next thing Lee knew, Blaine was pulling her shirt up over her head. Though teasing it off may have been a better word for it, since he was nowhere near as careful and gentle as he normally was.
The moment her arms were free, leaned in for another kiss. As their lips met, Lee brought her hands up to Blaine's shoulders, slowly pushing him down onto the bed. She did need to get off her ankle, afterall.
Sure, he was more aggressive, though he was still being careful, putting focus into every effort he made, maybe even more than usual. He was too into the kiss to notice her hands on his shoulders, but he figured that's what was happening because he found himself being pushed back onto the bed. His breath caught as he smiled.
It had taken quite a while for Lee’s heart to stop it’s rapid pounding in her chest, and just as long for her breathing to even out. But slowly her body did relax as she lay there curled up with Blaine, her head on his shoulder.
The TV from the living room was still playing extremely loud, loud enough that Lee was able to hear everything that was being said in the show. Lee couldn’t help the smile, though she also blushed slightly now; Skye hadn’t been happy about the ‘show’ she had walked in on earlier, hopefully she had had the TV loud enough. Regardless, Lee wasn’t going to be ready to go out there anytime soon.
Because it had finally worked! Lee’s smile only grew as she thought about it. Sure, it had been all kinds of awkward.
But it had also been absolutely amazing.
Pushing herself up slightly, Lee looked at Blaine. She was about to ask a question, but when she saw the look on his face, Lee just laughed a bit instead. ”I was going to ask what you were thinking,” Lee murmured, moving a hand up to Blaine’s cheek before leaning in for a quick kiss. ”But I think your expression answered that for me.”
Blaine could still hear his heavy breathing and his pounding heart as he lay there next to Lee, a smile on his face. At her words, he gave a small chuckle and looked over at her. "It's that obvious, eh?" he said with a smirk. "I'm just happy..." he murmured softly.
Meanwhile, the sound of the TV died down, only to be replaced by the sound of even louder music coming from the living room. Blaine looked at Lee and chuckled. "Should we tell her it's safe to turn it off now?" he asked.
Was it that obvious? Lee just shrugged slightly as she looked down at Blaine. The smile, which she didn’t think would be going anywhere anytime soon, still on her face. ”Just a bit,” she said.
But when Blaine said that he was just happy, Lee smiled even more and leaned down to give him another soft kiss before laying her head back down on his shoulder. Then the TV suddenly turned off, and the silence was almost deafening for a second before the music kicked in.
Hearing Blaine’s question, Lee lifted her head to look at him again with an eyebrow raised and a knowing grin on her face. ”That depends, is it safe for her to do that?” Lee asked. Waiting a few moments, Lee’s smile returned to the happy grin. ”Cause really, that was great.”
He chuckled lightly, his arm resting on her lower back as she kissed him then lay her head back on his shoulder. It would have sent a chill up his spine, but that was something he'd never know. But mutation not withstanding, this was rather nice. He laughed as she answered his question, and his steel-blue eyes met hers, a smirk spreading across his lips.
Instead of answering her question, he pulled her closer for another kiss, wrapping his other arm around her.
Lee's smile grew when she heard Blaine laugh and saw the look on his eyes when she answered him. That was most definitely not the response, or the answer she was expecting. Though, what they'd already managed to do that afternoon had not been expected. Hoped for, yes, most certainly hoped for, but definitely not expected.
Then Lee felt Blaine wrapping his other arm around her, pulling her closer for another kiss. Only this one wasn't short or soft like the last few had been. The anticipation of what that kiss meant, at least she was hoping it meant what she thought it did, combined with how Blaine's arms felt wrapped around her, Lee moaned softly against his lips as her body melted against his body.
