History Of Your Character
Ravikiran Singh was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 1994 to Lotte Dohman and Prateet Singh, immigrants from Germany and India, respectively. The two had met in Canada and learned English in order to communicate, and fell quickly in love. They had two children together: Ravi and Ashi.
Ravi’s childhood was good. He grew up happy and well cared for, with two loving parents that cared for his every need. In school, he was a bit of a wallflower, but he was well-liked and got some attention from his teachers for his drawings. It was obvious from an early age that Ravi was destined to end up in a career in arts, and he excitedly followed his heart.
However, there was a pressure coming from his parents to go into a career that would lead him to a good life, like medicine or law. There were many fights between him and his parents that would end in slammed doors, cold looks, and the silent treatment. Things went on like that until Ravi was seventeen.
When Ravi was seventeen, his older sister Ashi got caught at the wrong place at the wrong time at a restaurant, when a dangerous mutant lost control. She was in critical condition for two weeks following the incident before she was declared braindead.
Ravi internalized most of his feelings and developed a deep hatred for the species that had done that to his sister. Rationally, he knew that it was only the fault of one, but he couldn’t help but blame all mutants. The incident had torn his family apart and stolen one of his favourite people, and he did not want to see that happen to anyone else in the world.
Ravi and his parents grew apart, and when he turned eighteen, he moved to New York to pursue a career in tattoo artistry. He got a job quickly and began to learn the ropes, and before long, he was a wanted artist with plenty of work. He was able to start renting a nicer apartment and build a life for himself. He took up boxing in order to get out his anger in a safe space, but it hasn’t always been successful.

Sample RP:
Ravi ran his hands through his hair and slung a leg over the seat of his motorbike as he turned his key. He had two appointments that afternoon, but they weren’t for several hours, so he had some time to kill. As always, he had risen early, so he had lots of time to swing by the gym and work out some energy.
He revved the engine on his bike and rode forward, keeping his eyes on the road as he drove out of the parking garage. He liked to ride around the city; it gave him extra time to take in some of the sights of one of the greatest cities in the world.
The road was relatively clear for the time of day and location, so he was able to drive quickly. He kept his eyes on the sidewalks, taking in the people going about their day. For the most part, it was a pretty usual day. People were out, enjoying the sun, and there was no one that particularly stood out to him. Except for one.
A woman with octopus arms. Ravi pulled to the side of the street to take a look at her from behind. He didn’t bother to turn off the bike, since he wasn’t planning on staying long. It was just… she was so obviously enjoying her time outside. Enjoying her life. Like Ashi would have. It made his stomach churn as he watched her turn into a coffee shop and go on with her day.
Ravi rolled his shoulders and shook out his head as he composed himself. No, it was supposed to be a good day. He wasn’t supposed to worry that morning. A coffee and a workout would do him some good.
With a sigh, he pulled back into the stream of traffic and continued back on his way.
