The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Aura had been shocked the few days she had been in what was by every account New York city and yet things were very off. A Police officer had waived to her and offered a friendly smile. She had been to stunned to gut the man and so he had kept his life. Ur had helped that he never lingered and kept moving on his route. She had since learned she did not need to stay hidden which told her something was off to.
Her phone was shot, she had landed on it at some point in the incident. She had tried retreating to the hotel which had worked out less well then she planned. Lisa had not recognized her either. Aura and heard of other dimensions from Solkat back in the woods and was starting to think something like that might have happened. After all she had seen dinosaurs a few years back and a future that was mired in bloody mutant and human warfare.
Aura came across several men harassing what clearly looked to be a mutant who had taken on rat characteristics. She let out a soft sigh as a Anti mutant slur escaped one of their lips. Aura saw one of them go for a radio and a she did Aura began her charge. Their was no stealth in her movements and all three of the men looked up at the sound of her feet. The first one opened his mouth to speak but was rewarded by a still forming aura dagger around her fist. The same aura quickly appeared around the rest of her body, shielding her from the crimson result.
The other two had stepped back and were going for guns, they both go off shots, which impacted her aura a few deflecting in random directions. Aura struck the second one a moment later, with the same aura dagger but this one was driven into his stomach and under his rib cage. Two more shots and aura heard the click of an empty chamber and smiled despite the crackling of his radio.
The rat mutant booked not looking back at the bloody ongoing display. Auta dispatched the last strange man with an upward slash to his jaw. He was alive but Aura was positive he would not last more then a few minutes with the blood loss. She kneeled down by the barely living man and began pulling out his wallet and other important info. This did not seem like a gang member, much to well dressed.

Jorge
Jorge always made it a point to go out and be among the people, especially in the neighborhoods that he controlled. The majority of those people who were tasting the sweet nectar of life did so because of him. He funded plenty of mutant run storefronts, helped individuals with their homes and lives, offered favors in exchange for the same. He was a figured that was known and protected around certain neighborhoods and the man was comfortable in the knowledge that no matter what, he wouldn’t be squealed on. These people respected a mutant in power and with the presence of humanity, and especially S.U.P.E.R., he knew that so long as he and the Syndicate kept people safe that identities and such were protected.
That was power. The power to have the people at your side, to be willing to shield you from the oncoming storm. Of course Jorge never willingly asked for anyone’s allegiance to such a degree, but was more than willing to allow it should it come his way.
On this particular day, Jorge was on a stroll with two of his comrades, one Duke Manchester, his head of security, and a more recent recruit, the rat-like Fievel Mousekewitz. The young mutant was trying to prove themselves as an informant and often followed Jorge and Duke when out in the city in order to investigate and spy on certain targeted individuals. Today they were out in the field because word had reached the organization that S.U.P.E.R. was beginning to step into his territory again, poking holes in an effort to find a gripping point for their operation.
Jorge was going to knock that **** right down. But first, he needed to find out exactly what was going on.
Bringing Fievel around, Jorge lounged in the passenger seat of his town car, resting comfortable in the back seat as Duke sat up front, flipping through his phone. Fievel himself was out, sniffing through the dark corners for any sign of the S.U.P.E.R. infestation. He had only been gone about an hour when there was a sudden and loud knocking on the windshield of the car. Jorge immediately jumped out, followed by Duke, as they inspected the boy.
“Agents! Jumped me!” he squeaked. “T-They were going to kill me!”
Jorge ground his teeth as he lifted his gaze up, looking down the path the boy had come from. ”Where?”
Fievel pointed down back the way he had come and explained that it was in an alley that was around the corner. Jorge nodded, before he lifted his gaze to Duke and gave him instruction to take a back way into that alley, Jorge would take the front. Normally he didn’t like his face to be seen by S.U.P.E.R. but no one committed such an injustice as this and got away with his. Just as he ushered Fievel back into the car, he was then informed on how he had escaped – someone helped him.
Jorge made a beeline towards the alley. When he got there, he could smell the aftermath of what had occurred even before he saw it. Strolling up to the mouth of the alley, Jorge was dressed in one of his finest black suits, a crisp white shirt, and a shimmering navy blue tie around his neck. A thick hand brushed down over his salt-and-pepper colored beard as he looked over the carnage. Most would have been deterred, too horrified to look upon any of it, but Jorge himself – the man just smiled. Such an atrocity, but committed against agents of S.U.P.E.R., it was actually quite beautiful.
He sighed, shaking his head as he looked up. There he found someone new, the young woman whom Fievel had informed him about. She was kneeling, looking through an agent’s pockets as he slowly lay dying thanks to a rather gruesome wound. He smirked. Hands clasped behind his back and keeping his distance, he smiled warming at the individual and cleared his throat to get her attention. When she would turn to look upon him, he would bow his head respectfully.
”Good day,” he said cheerily. ”I have to say, if you’re hoping to get more than $10 from these jokers, their agency doesn’t allow them to carry more than that in cash.” he shrugged his shoulders, still smiling. ”They’re afraid they’ll be mugged.” He looked around at the mess and then back to her. "But...my guess is that found something worse."
She turned and rose quickly and fluidly, her fingertips and the eight inch dagger blade that extended from them pointed in Jorges direction though she made no move forward. Her eyes narrowed at the newcomer, knowing the face. The hardness in her face melted to one of confusion as he spoke however. The smile and his tone were not what she would have expected. She was tempted to look down and check the corpse was still there but the smell of blood was a thick perfume coating the alley walls. Her aura kept the blood and grime off of her, it was also kept her fingerprints off things.
She did not recall having met Jorge more then once but she was pretty sure the x-men jorge she knew would not be so casual and able to smile given this circumstance. "I respond poorly to humans endangering mutants. Plus it's been a rough few days" she said lowering her arm but not her aura. Would he assume she was insane if she told him or asked him if the world had suddenly changed? It was hard to say but best not to bring it up here.
True to his word when Aura checked the wallet it was empty and Aura and seen enough ID's to suspect it might be generic."My name is Aura, my....friend" she said dropping the wallet. "A mutant ran from here when i attacked, if he has informed the police of this, then it may be wise to cut this short or extract our selfs from the location, where i'm from police response time is just under four minutes on average, though i hear no sirens" she said finding it odd to be saying this at all to a man she knew as a police officer. Part of mentioning the police was to see his reaction as well. The Jorge she knew of would have no choice but to try and arrest her.

Jorge
Jorge was immediately enchanted by the young woman with the flickering aura of fuchsia wrapped like paper around her body. The man had never seen anything quite like it, which was surprising. If there were something with this kind of violent streak in his city, he would have certainly gotten word of it. S.U.P.E.R. wasn’t one to let people this violent just wander the streets but, judging from the looks around them, it was highly doubtful that they could have done something if they even wanted to. That kind of power was something and Jorge ultimately respected.
His hands still clasped behind his back, he addressed the young woman with his most charming smile. This wasn’t someone he wanted to anger so he kept his tone even and gentle, not trying to catch her by surprise and simply speaking as an admirer would.
It seemed that his introduction momentarily startled her. He could see the confusion on her face, almost as if she briefly recognized him as she stood up. His eyes flicked to that dangerous looking danger of energy in her hand. He made no move towards her, but instead stayed stock still as he just watched her with utmost curiosity. As the seconds passed, she finally seemed to come to some thought about him as she lowered her arm and addressed him just as civilly as he did to her.
>> "I respond poorly to humans endangering mutants. Plus it's been a rough few days"
He smirked knowingly. ”I can imagine.”
Ever since the rift open, nothing was what it appeared. There were a number of people who cropped up in the city, people who had no earthly business being there and yet here they were. Some panicked, others took the change in stride. It was interesting, to say the least, and slowly Jorge was growing accustomed to meeting people who were completely brand new to this reality. It seemed that this woman here was one such individual.
>>."My name is Aura, my....friend…A mutant ran from here when i attacked, if he has informed the police of this, then it may be wise to cut this short or extract our selfs from the location, where i'm from police response time is just under four minutes on average, though i hear no sirens"
He nodded his head. ”I’m well aware of the mutant you rescued,” he explain. ”You see, Mr. Mousekewitz works for me. He was here completing a task for me when he was jumped by those human thugs you so viciously eviscerated. You saved his life…and for that…” Jorge explained as he tilted his head towards her. ”...you have earned my eternal thanks.”
At her comment about police arriving, he was interested in the fact that she knew the response time from where she was from. If she knew that, then she certainly must have had extended dealings with the police. Maybe this incident was not something that was unfamiliar to her. That, coupled with her want to protect mutants immediately painted her as a most interesting tableau. He pursed his lips at her comment, nodding as he slowly advanced. He didn’t appear threatening or intrusive, instead he kept a health distance away from her for her own comfort.
”Police are a little slower here,” he explained. ”But it’s not just the police; the men you killed were agents of S.U.P.E.R. Those are the ones you need to worry about. Government trained goons who want to bring our kind down.” A smile and Jorge slowly extended his hand towards her. ”But where are my manners? Please, my name is Poseidon. And….welcome to my universe.”
The rat mutant worked for thus guy? Well that made sense in that it explained why This Jorge was here so quickly. Ut also explained why she did not yet hear sirens or see lights. He thanked her which would have been abnormal enough had she been staring into the stubbled face of her Jorge. "It's what i do, but you and your mouse friend are welcome" she said simply. For her it was just what you did when you saw animals hounding a sentient being but she also knew many of her own kind may have ignored the situation for their own safety.
Her aura flowed from her fingertips, leaving her flesh bear below the wrist. She took the man's hand as his confirming words struck her like cold water. She had suspected but confirmation somehow made it more real to her in a way she thought she might never be able to explain.
"So other earths do exist.....I had wondered why the people here do not know me, why old sanctuaries lacked my locks or police happily waving at me" she said the last seeming to be the weirdest part for her.
Solkat had long ago told her that other earths existed and that she was blessed and cursed by her power. When Solkat was going to die she explained her powers absorbed her into the local plant life and she would wake up on a new earth where that universes her was dead. She had latched on to such tales when she was younger but what made her consider them more was when a mutant sent her back to the time of dinosaurs. Their had also been the city wide dream of the war torn M future where she and her father had flattened much of Moscow.
"Super huh? never heard of them but they did seem a bit to well dressed for gang members. Either way they will not harm mutants while I am near and if they think me easy prey then let them come. Still I know nothing of your world and I do not know if i can return to my own realm" she said considering she might never see her old home again, which made her a bit sad since she had just reunited with her sister and Meld.
"Your counterpart in my realm is an upstanding officer of the law and an x-man. " she said wondering why she had bothered to mention the fact at all. "You seem to be quite the improvement over hum already" she said honestly. It was hard to respect mutants working for the police much less one who worked for the x-men and knew the true scope of their peoples trouble.

Jorge
>> "It's what i do, but you and your mouse friend are welcome"
Jorge was immediately pulled in by the woman’s ferocity. He had seen some powerful mutants before, but to stand in the carnage that this woman would crafted with such elegance was indeed awe-inspiring. It made him smile a little; a knowing smile of what this woman was capable of, of the power that she possessed and the manners in which she could utilize it. The agents fell before her like paper cutouts against a machete and the thought was far too intriguing. He clearly needed to play nice with this woman.
He bowed his head at her. He introduced himself and explained whom the individuals who were had died at her feet and where it was she was currently located. From the sounds of it he was able to gather that was a Ripper, one of the hapless individuals who found themselves hurled through that gateway when the universe split. People still couldn’t explain it but Jorge was more than happy to take advantage of it – especially if this other universe offered talent such as hers.
>>"So other earths do exist.....I had wondered why the people here do not know me, why old sanctuaries lacked my locks or police happily waving at me"
A devilish smirk danced on his lips. ”Clearly, there is an alternate of yourself running around in this universe, they do not possess the style that you do. Tragic, to say the least, but I’m certainly glad I got to see you in action.”
>>"Super huh? never heard of them but they did seem a bit to well dressed for gang members. Either way they will not harm mutants while I am near and if they think me easy prey then let them come. Still I know nothing of your world and I do not know if i can return to my own realm"
He was enjoying her company more and more. This wasn’t just some random need to kill a few people, but rather she was actively harming these individuals because she saw a mutant behind harmed. Someone with her abilities could do quite well for the Syndicate, but considering that this was still not her universe, and he just met her, he had to play certain facts close to his chest. So, with smile still upon his lips he dipped his head towards her.
”Oh, there is a gateway,” he explain. ”It seems that a number of individuals such as yourself were just hurled through to the other side. However,” he turned and pointed in a direction. ”There, in Madison Square Park. There is a swirl vortex that seems stable enough for people to pass through. Been on the news 24/7.” He smiled. ”I’m sure you can find our way home from there, Dorothy.”
He teased, indicating that she was Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. No malice or mocking was meant with his words, it was just his way.
>>"Your counterpart in my realm is an upstanding officer of the law and an x-man. You seem to be quite the improvement over him already. "
Jorge’s face darkened a little bit. He had been trying to find information on if there were a counterpart to himself in this other universe. Now with confirmation that this woman already knew something like him, it was somewhat disheartening. A police officer and and X-Man? Wasn’t there a conflict of interest there? He rolled his eyes, shaking his head in disappointment.
”That is rather unsettling.” he mused. At her compliment, he smiled and bowed his head again. ”You are indeed sweet. However, I we are wasting time out here. With SUPER agents down, it won’t take long for them to respond. Come,” he offered her his hand. ”I can take us someplace safe and we can chat further…if you like.”
CRASH!!
Jorge snapped his attention up. Down the alley, he watched as the dark-skinned Duke Manchester, his head of security came busting through a door. His skin was cut, but instead of sinewy muscle, there was the glint of metal musculature under his flesh. He was locked arm and arm with a tall man, one who was dressed like the other agents who lay dead on the ground. Managing to knock the massive man off balance, Duke punched, hard, a metal sound ringing as he knocked away the agent.
“Boss! Go!! SUPER is already here!!” he shouted.
Sure enough, down the street, Jorge would already hear the sounds to rushing tires and guntotting fools. Humans, mutants, adapteds, it could be any number of any of their ranks, and they were already closing in on them. Grinding his teeth, Jorge flexed his arms, reaching out with his senses and pulling at the puppet strings of water that were around him. He snarled, water snaking across the ground, swirling about his feet as he turned his eyes back to Aura.
”Well, m’dear…it seems we shall be having company.” He snapped his fingers, causing water to twirl around his body, wrapping like coiled serpents around his arms. He then gave Aura and encouraging smile. ”Do have another round in you?”
Aura had not considered another her, of course this Jorge was the first alternate of someone she knew she had met other then Lisa. The idea tied her stomach in knots weather an alternate her was as violent as she was or weather worse she was human. Aura decided immediately if their was an alt her here and she was in fact human she would put herself out of her misery or however that worked. She simply did not like the idea although perhaps she could find others who were lost to her in her own realm. "You would seem to be right, I'll have to seek her out" she said As much as she found the idea strange, her curiosity was winning out.
A portal home was a relief, she had been back to central park since the incident. The idea however of it being on tv made for some prominent issues. She tried to avoid camera's where she could but finding her way back to her universe was certainly a priority. "If their smart they will put police nearby to" she said thinking about it. As long as their were not adapteds she would be good. "Dorathy?" she asked not placing the reference. Aura had never been much of a movie watcher, other then the news on occasion Auta tended to ignore tv.
She was about to reply to Jorge when another man wrestling with a super agent burst out of a door. Her Aura thickened and began forming a series of hard angles all over her body. At the same time she formed a pair of axes extending a food past her finger tips on both hands. Even as she did she watched Jorge cover himself in what looked like water armor to her. She wondered just what kind of punishment it could take. Aura was used to drawing fire for others but Jorge seemed unworried so she did not ask.
She bent down and picked up one of the guns. She had no idea if adapteds were a thing here but she wanted to be prepared. She smiled blissfully considering what might come. This was barely a stretch. Necides hard to relax when my opponents are so quickly laid bare." Aura preferred a challenge but other then M mutants humans were rarely capable of putting up a real fight. It was lot like a fight between an elephant and wet cardboard. "Im bullet proof for the most part and unless we fight an adapted i win most hand to hand encounters as well" she explained as she began walking towards the sounds of men and cars before she began to run and emerged into the midst of the force. A moving target was harder to hit and not many expected someone to rush armed men. She saw a few cars in her brief look before burying her axe in a Super agent's shoulder, her other hand came around and but into his back, using the still living man like a partial shield as she surveyed the situation

Jorge
>>”Dorothy?”
He sighed. No one respected the classics anymore to watch them. He remembered as a kid that the Wizard of Oz had been one of his favorite films, still was in this day. He was enraptured by the idea of just escaping from your problems into a world of fantasy and wonder. That, in part, was what helped him to create his club. Atlantis was built to bring fantasy to reality, to entice with a variety of vices and to ensnare the mind. It was Jorge’s dream to build a place where mutants could be mutants and he could operate with absolute freedom. In most cases, he had achieved his goal, oh but there was always so much to do.
He eyed the dark haired woman again, giving her a kindly smile as he shook his head at her questioning he name he gave her. He just smiled and bowed his head once more. ”Nevermind. Simply a bad joke on my part. A thousand pardons.”
As much fun as all this was, they needed to get out of here. S.U.P.E.R. would be advancing on their location once it was monitors that their team was down. He offered the woman a chance to join him back at his club but just as he got the words out, there was a crash. Duke was battling with a back-up S.U.P.E.R. agent and more were already on the way. Jorge cursed under his breath, shaking his head as he turned to the mouth of the alley. He could already hear the vehicles. Approaching. Another curse under his breath.
Personally he still had a bit of a public image to keep so the last thing he wanted was for that image to be destroyed. Escape virtually impossible, Jorge knew that he was going to have to get his hands dirty.
With a flick of his wrists, Jorge summoned water from his surroundings, bringing up, snaking it around his limbs as it formed a swirling shield of liquid. He glanced to Aura, who seemed to be thickening up her armor as well. A playful smile, he asked if she were up for another round with these goons and she seemed more than ready.
>>”This was barely a stretch. Necides hard to relax when my opponents are so quickly laid bare."
He grinned. A short laugh of amusement fell from his lips as he turned back to the alley. Duke was still going toe-to-toe with the powered agent. That meant that the van of agents that were coming were going to have to be both his and Aura’s to handle.
>>"Im bullet proof for the most part and unless we fight an adapted I win most hand to hand encounters as well.”
He nodded. ’Then we best hit hard and fast,” he advised. ”SUPER employs both mutants and adapteds to their cause.” He boldly stepped towards the exit of the alley, a grin on his lips as he glanced over his shoulder at Aura. ’Get ready.”
A confident swagger found his footing as he marched forward. With each step the water that had once surrounded his body fell away until the man himself began to morph and change. His body grew wavery and churn. The color of flesh melted away to that of a transparent blue and soon all details of his face and body were gone. Clothing fell from his body into a small pile and soon all that stood there was a living effigy of liquid, a god of water. Just as the van of agents pulled up, Jorge stepped out of the alley, his body doubling in size as he absorbed the water he had pulled to him earlier, his framing becoming massive and intimidating.
“Sh*t!” one of the agents shouted as he climbed out of the van. “It’s Poseidon!!”
A gurgling roar from his mouth and Jorge loomed above the van before he dipped down, splashing over the van and immediately sweeping it up in a churning wave that crash and slammed the van against the alley wall. Another whirlpool of movement and Poseidon flung the van into the floor a final time, causing agents to spill out, carried away by water. There was only two agents who seemed dry and unaffected, both of them were adapteds and were holding onto their seats for dear life. The others splashed out, gasping and sputtering, struggling to climb to their feet, drawing their guns.
It seemed her reputation was meant to be in tatters. Their was little that could be done however and weather they were after her for some reason or after Jorge, it changed nothing. She knew little about the man, but he was a mutant and that was all that matterd to her. it was however just a bit strange to be the unknown in a situation.
She was impressed with Jorges display of power, pushing the body from her blade, she selected another target and charged again feeling several shots deflect off her Aura before her over head strike struck the man's shoulder and silenced the threat forever. She smiled, forming her dagger like blade into a drill. Police from her realm would of recognized her immediately and sent the adapted in. As it was she only had an idea the two in the truck might have been such as they were dry after Jorges assault.
Another shot struck the side of her head and Aura turned as she felt the shotgun slug impact her. The second slug struck her as well delaying her for a moment, she watched him drop the shotgun and bring the pistol to bear, Aura drill punched the man in the face, creating a grim crimson rain, even as to more bullets shot struck her aura and buried themselves in near by brick.
"Foolish Humans" she said shaking her head, these fools were not much so fat but she had a feeling from what Jorge said it might get harder. Her thought was rewarded as a man began to shift his form to a sand like substance. Aura blow struck but had little effect on the man except to throw bits of sand around from his body. He attacked her but missed and Aura could not help but notice his sand foot harden touching some of the left over water.

Jorge
Jorge was making quick work of the SUPER agents who were attempting to get the drop on them. It seems that they came into his fight a little unprepared, seeking out a murderer and finding a god. He knew from his own operatives that there were special groups out there trying to find a way to bring him down. To connect him with crimes that they had no way of connecting him to. Implanting him would never work, and his two closest associates were impervious to such things. Jorge was safe and happy from SUPER while he did his thing and he knew how much that infuriated them.
Case in point – he and his new friend were about to murder all these agents without a second thought. Well, maybe not the mutant ones, so long as they knew when to stand down. If not, they would be forced to bend a knee.
Tipping the van over, Jorge flooded the contents with water, drowning the majority of the agents, sans two who were clearly adapteds. Oh the fact that such an off-shoot of human evolution was created just made him sick to the pit of his stomach. There were clearly just a last, desperate attempt for a species to survive but they were proving to be more and more a nuisance.
As Aura busied herself with a mutant agent, Jorge took to the remaining. Flooding out the van, the bodies of the rest of the agents floated out, leaving the two who were high and dry. The effigy of the water god loomed above the fallen van, unamused by having been attacked. He stared hard at the agents that struggled to unbuckle their seats, reaching for guns nearby. Aura seemed not need any assistance while Duke was finishing off the super strong agent he had crashed through the alley door with.
There was only a small matter left.
Peering down at the agent who seemed to be made of sand, Jorge watched he and Aura enact the battle of what ‘what-cannot-be-touched vs what-cannot-be-harmed”. Summoning up a large sphere of water from his hand, Jorge hurled it like a beach ball at the sand agent, before turning his eyes upon the last two adapteds who had managed to finally crawl out of the van.
His entire mass collapsed down into a puddle and he raced back to his clothing. Slipping into them, the well dressed effigy shrunk back down to the regular size and weight of Jorge Cervantes. Water hardened into bones, was covered his muscle, and finally with flesh and hair. Looking as if nothing had happened to him at all, the crime boss grinned as he approached the two agents. Their adapted fields were small but they were full null, he could feel it. Thankfully, he had other ways of handling them.
He opened his jacket and pulled free a gold-plated, Desert Eagle .50. Hefting the gun up, he sighed as he approached the first agent, a man in who was older with a stock of white hair. Without pause Jorge stepped on the man’s hand before he could lift his gun up, lowered his own and squeezed the trigger. The adapted fell dead, his aura flickering away, returning Jorge’s powers to him. With a sigh, he adjusted his jacket and turned to find his comrades and the last adapted.
”Ahhh…” he said after inhaling the scent of gore and blood in the alley. ”It’s a good day…”
In her own world Aura had not killed like this in awhile. Since her coma she had killed a few people here and there but never had she been able to simply let go and fight. She felt the call of serenity the battlefield gave her and responded happily. Good Combat let her focus and shit out everything else, this wa snot quite that but it still helped her calm her nerves.
Aura struck the sand mutant again throwing sand from his body but not making it to far into his body and she only seemed to throw bits of sand of him. He struck back his sand limb striking her aura but making no real impact against it other then knocking her back a few inches. A low slash from her off hand caught the mutnat in the midsection but met with little result. She had been hoping to find a vital organ to hit knowing their might well be none, however the issue was quickly solved as the mutant was struck by water which compacted his form and seemed to freeze the mutant in place even as she hit the form with a punch the mutant seemed to loose cohesion with his form. She looked around realizing quickly the fight seemed to be at an ended. She smiled glancing at their cars, curious ff they had dash cams like the police cars.
She pulled the stolen gun she had take as Jorge was reforming and then pulled a very nice gun. She followed him to the car, knowing the two in the car were adapted. Moving on it she made sure to go the other side of the vehicle then Jorge. She felt her aura peel back from her skin and fade away as she entered the adapteds aura. Aura heard the shot go off a few moments before her own gun struck the back of the head of the remaining adapted. She felt her aura return to her and quickly flickerd it back on, looking around.
She smiled looking at Jorge. "it has been rather fun. Its not often i have partner for this sorta things, but perhaps we should not further press out luck?" she said figuring super would likely send more solders with better arms. The fight had made her happy she realized, fighting beside Jorge was refreshing and made her feel refreshed and alive. Most just had no stomach for this level of blood and gore, Aura had long since grown immune to it having seen so much of it.

Jorge
The gunshot rang throughout the quiet street. Jorge stood above the dead agent, half hanging out of the car with a bullet wound in the side of his head. As the light from the man’s eyes faded, Jorge could feel the adapted aura fading with it. His connection to the water returned, he could see the lines of it running throughout the city and the kingpin knew that at least this one was dead. His eyes drifted over to the other, the last remaining of the group that had tried to assault them. The man was struggling, fumbling for his gun. He didn’t even seem like a trained agent, more like a gym teacher that had been thrust into this world.
Jorge wouldn’t have put it past SUPER to try and recruit any and all identified adapteds, no matter the life that they came from. While it was sad to eliminate someone who probably didn’t have a choice in this battle, it was a necessity. Besides, the only good adapteds were braindead ones.
For the briefest of moments, he locked eyes with the other agent. As he struggled, the kingpin just gave a wide grin. There was a click, the glass shattered, and the last of the agents fell dead. His eyes shifted from the fallen agent to the woman who was murder incarnate. Gently his bowed his head to her, appreciative of her efforts.
With a sigh, Jorge slipped his gold-plated handgun back into its holster within his jacket and sighed. It had certainly been a good day. His eyes lifted again, catching movement as someone jogged out of the alley to join them. Duke sighed, slightly winded from his fight with the other agent, but his bloodied knuckles were enough to show that unleashed all hell on the man. He smirked and nodded to the man but stopped to glance at Aura when she piped up.
>> "It has been rather fun. It’s not often I have partner for this sorta things, but perhaps we should not further press out luck?"
”I whole heartedly agree, my dear,” he turned to Duke. ”Get the car, will you? And send Mouse home with his reward for his assistance.” Duke nodded, the scrapes and cuts he had suffered glistened in silver beneath the skin as he stepped away and marched towards the vehicle that was parked down the way. With Duke gone, Jorge turned back to Aura and gave her a smile. ”I have a safe place where myself and likeminded associates can lay low. You’re free to accompany us. I’ll even treat you to a drink…” he smirked as he turned, the black town car pulling up alongside them.
Jorge climbed into the back seat, propping the door open as he pulled a handkerchief from his pocket and handed it over to Duke. Graciously the driver took the rag and wiped the blood from his knuckles. Meanwhile, Jorge shifted his gaze back to Aura, still smiling like a Cheshire cat.
The offer was generous in any light as he barely knew her and was taking her based on her helping out a member of his group. She knew full well she would have done the same if the positions were reversed. She liked Jorge, this jorge anyway, his equivalent back home was someone she suspected she would be far less fond of if she ever got to know him. This Jorge seemed like a fair man as well and as she had mentioned it was very rare when she found someone who was willing to act on the violence sometimes needed to protect their people.
She nodded as she moved towards the car and opened the door, sliding in before shutting the door again. It was of course best they got out of the area quickly. They had left quite the scene after all and she figured the next round would be rougher. They reminded her a bit of the the Mutnat response units back home and she considering comparing the two once she had more information. From what she had seem these SUPER agents seemed much more violent and determined.
"I think taking your offer works best. I've been breaking into various abandoned warehouses to keep cover the few days i have been here. Im use to having to try and stay out of sight. Cops in my universe stopped yelling freeze before opening fire or ignoring me" she said getting both response depending on how determined the officer was. the second tended to be preferable. "It's unusual people are more scared of someone one else then me" she said with a smile. It was an interesting thing for sure and one that did not happen very often to her

Jorge
S.U.P.E.R. wouldn’t let this go unanswered for long. They had already jumped in when Aura had attacked that small group that was harassing Mouse, but now that an entire squad of their goons (including TWO adapteds) were dead, they were going to hit them hard. But, the good thing was that they had no idea that Jorge was at the scene. His vehicle, with the interchangeable plates and the common description, would go unfound by agents as they investigated. It would be a clean getaway, assuming that Aura actually jumped in on this in a timely manner.
He had to admit, she certainly was a wonder to work with. Watching her fight, seeing the way her mutation worked, Jorge was all together smitten by the woman. Not in any base or carnal manner (though she was pretty) but in manner that saw budding talent. She could be of use to the Syndicate, not only for her abilities but for her knowledge of the other side of the portal. Plus, she said all the right things already as she was clearly pro-mutant. She was the perfect for the organization…if she were willing to accept.
Waiting, watching, he then smiled when she moved towards the car.

He chuckled darkly as he waved for her to climb into the car. ”Then come along. A warrior such as yourself deserves better than some musty warehouse.” Once Aura was inside and the door closed behind her, he turned back to Duke who was in the front seat. ”To the club.”
Duke nodded and the car pulled into the road, leaving the carnage-riddled alleyway behind them. So easily did the car slip into the mainstream of traffic that it looked utterly indistinguishable from the rest of the cars that were busy driving to and fro. With that done, Jorge turned back to Aura as she settled into her seat.
>>"It's unusual people are more scared of someone one else then me"
He smirked. ”Given what I have seen you accomplish, I am in no way surprised by that.” he smiled knowingly. ”But yes, if your alternate self does exist in this plane, then I have certainly not heard of them.” He turned as he glanced out the window at the passing city. ”But there is nothing wrong with being unique.”
The car moved swiftly through the streets but never once looking suspicious. Duke was Jorge’s head of security and quite practiced in this type of driving. This wasn’t the first time that the two of them had gone out for a bloody evening. Of course nothing as rampant as what Aura herself had been able to accomplish but there was a first for everything.
As they drove, the city slowly grew more quite until they found themselves in front of the brick façade of the Atlantis Club. With his thanks to Duke, Jorge climbed out, and opened the door so that Aura could join him. Once they were out of the car, Duke drove off, moving the car around the back in order to park it in the garage where Jorge’s men would swap out the license plates and clean off any evidence of having been at the scene.
Opening opened on of the massive front doors that revealed a staircase that would lead down into the club interior. He grinned at the woman respectful as he held the door for her. ”Please. Ladies first…”
The car ride was nice and smooth and reminded her very much of order car's she had once taken for granted. It was comforting to her though she knew she should contact hades about where she was and what was going on. A question came to her mind and Aura shelved it, their would be time to ask if her friends had counterparts here as well. Even if it was not the people she once knew, a part of her wanted to apologize for getting them all killed. Part of her would never forgive herself for what happened even knowing what she knew now, even having grown so much their were certain wounds that were simply to deep.
She got out of the car and walked in with Jorge looking around at the place. She had come a long way from moving in a barracks with dozens of others and she noted how use to big building she had gotten. "Thank you" she said remembering his politeness. "Been while since anyone called me a lady, but thank you" she said with a smile. While she had been called it on a number of occasions it was rare anyone called her it without a mocking tone or outright fear and in much less sincere terms then jorge seemed to.
As they made her way in she realized this place was different. it was gorgeous and pleasing to her eye. "Well this is certainly better then a warehouse, or the forest. An impressive set up" she said continue to take in the details, her eyes looked for entrances and exits and paid close attention to details she might need. "Life is funny in some ways, a Decade ago i was fighting an endless war in a forest with the belief i would never see 15, now im over 20" she said shaking her head. It was funny to her in a few ways somehow she was alive and well despite her rather violent lifestyle.
"So how did you become such a great defender of our people?" she asked curiously. She had found a rare and common soul in Jorge and more so then most it made her curious. Most mutants were to shy of blood to kill and far to shy to do like she had seen Jorge do. Aura liked hearing others stories where she could as well.
