The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Danger Room," Shin snapped his fingers and looked to the ceiling. "Sun!"
In the very center of the room, by the ceiling, a ball of light snapped into being. It was blinding, and pulsed with a white hot light. Shin turned to shield his eyes and shouted "No sun! No sun!" The sun went away. Whoops. That was embarrassing. Someone must have made some serious upgrades to the Danger Room recently. Or else, he'd just been dumb. He tried again. "Danger Room. Artificial sunlight from overhead lighting, activate."
Okay. Strips of lights across the ceiling started humming with solar rays... gently. Enough for his power. Not enough to give them skin cancer, or anything. Not unless they decided to tan in it. Which would be silly. Ignacio looked tan enough, as it was.
"Will that work?" He turned towards the solar mutant. Hopefully, it would do for him.
"What kind of training you get depends on what you want... do you want something that tests your power levels... or something that tests your skills?"
Ignacio's turned up to the top of the Danger Room as a "sun" appeared. Unlike Shinbo, Iggy was unbothered by the light and instead smiled. He allowed himself to soak in a bit of energy from it before his sponsor turned it off. He tried his best not to giggle at the blinded professor's attempt.
>> "Danger Room. Artificial sunlight from overhead lighting, activate."
That seemed to be better for Shinbo so that was good. Ignacio studied the beams before looking down at the other mutant. "That'll do just fine!" He exclaimed with a bright smile.
>> "What kind of training you get depends on what you want... do you want something that tests your power levels... or something that tests your skills?"
Ignacio had to think about this one. "Definitely the first one." He hadn't had the chance to test out what he was fully capable of.

A test of strength. Well then. Bring on the laser deathbots.
He had a plan. Maybe not LASER deathbots. But similar? It was more a Sam type of mission, but it was still a good one. A current classic, changed slightly for a new age.
"Wait one minute," Shin said, smiling as he stepped over to a door in the white wall and going through it. A few moments later, he was behind the glass window on the side of the room at balcony level. He spoke over the intercom. "I'm going to be setting the scenario running now. Be prepared. If you need any help... the panic word is Bulbasaur." Kind of a lame panic word. His wife loved Bulbasaur. It was the first panic word to come to mind. Having responded to a building-sized version of the green plant Pokemon... he knew there were certain situations where the lil cutie could cause a panic.
The white of the Danger Room changed and shifted, expanding outwards so that it was bigger on the inside within the scenario. An optical illusion? Or something else... he never had been able to figure that out. Whatever it did was mental, potentially in the British 'crazy' version of the word. The thing it expanded into was a street on New York. For the sake of imagination, he'd gone traditional. Ignacio would be fighting in the middle of Time's Square. It was an average morning there, which meant there were lots of people and lots of traffic. He'd have to navigate around and through the mess... while handling himself to keep bystanders safe from all attacks, including his own. People might panic. He'd have to try and handle that. This was a test of how he'd respond to a very likely situation. Public scene. X-men response. The street appeared around Iggy with a ghostly crowd walking by, but a moment later, they spread out to make room for a new person. There was a clear area around Iggy and the person, approximately 20 feet around. To Shin's eyes, it looked to be 19 feet, 11 inches. The person was a silver-blonde woman, around Iggy's age. Her skin was metallic. It contrasted brilliantly with her violet eyes. She kind of looked like Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones, cast in chrome. She wore a simple outfit of faded blue jeans and a Mets t-shirt with a giant baseball across the front. Suddenly, 5 Metabots appeared around the woman.
"Beep beep! Come with us, mutant!" They all said in unison. Cue corny robot voices and implied ineptitude on the grade of droid soldiers from Star Wars.
"Forget you!!!" The metal woman shouted. She punched the nearest robot in the face. It spun around, but caught itself. They all turned to attack her.
Over the intercom, Shin's voice spoke clearly. "That's your cue."
Ignacio turned his head to watch Professor Shinbo exit the Danger Room and enter into the nest. Huh, he wondered why he was up there? Maybe he could control the Danger Room scenarios better from up there.
>> "I'm going to be setting the scenario running now. Be prepared. If you need any help... the panic word is Bulbasaur."
Bulbasaur? Eh, that sounded like an appropriate panic word since it was out of place. Though, Charmander would've gone with the theme of what was about to take place. Iggy wasn't going to ask for a request to change it since that wasn't what the focus was going to be on. "¡Está bien!" Ignacio responded with a thumbs up. Now the fun was really about to begin.
Ignacio then turned his attention to the changing room around him. Out of the white was birthed Time Square on a busy morning equipped with innocent bystanders. Ignacio was extremely amazed how the white slate made almost anything come to life. The room even looked bigger than before! The seventeen-year-old moved out of the way of the hard-light constructed pedestrians to get a better look at what was happening to the metal-skinned mutant that was currently being messed with by the metabots. Was this the scenario that Professor Shinbo was talking about? His internal question was answered when his Sponser from over the the intercom told him that the appearance of the megabits was his cue.
With a head nod, Ignacio tried to first distract the metabots from the girl. Honestly, she was kicking ass on her own, but Iggy knew that he had to step in. "Hey! Leave her alone!" Ignacio shouted. He stretched his hands up to the sky as the bysntanders started to run away from the scene. Iggy felt like every cell was hotter and hotter until his Tollan form was fully activated. His skin was now black with his eyes a bright orange. Iggy's body was surrounded by multicolored light. He gave a quick look up at Shinbo before running in to save the girl from the bots.
In his Tollan form, Iggy was stronger, faster, and all around more powerful. It only took in about ten seconds to get from where he was standing to the metabots. With the first one he came in contact with, he threw a punch to it's head and a pushing kick to the torso of the other on that tried to sneak up on him from behind.

Whoa... he hadn't really expected something quite like that.
Shin buzzed over the intercom. "Nice transformation! Next time, shout HENSHIN!" There. Nerd quota, met. Henshin being Japanese for transform and all that. Before he'd lost his shard armor, he'd said it all the time.
It certainly was an impressive henshin, whatever it was. Dark skin, bright orange eyes. Ignacio glowed in the dark. If the X-men had merchandise, Iggy could totally be the action figure that glowed in the dark.
The robots all responded, turning towards him. That gave metal girl time enough to shout THANKS, then run away. You really would have thought she'd help him fight. But people are people. They can be selfish. His attack was strong, but not enough to one-shot the robot. They had insulation against impacts and were tempered to help them resist strong temperatures. But his attacks did succeed in keeping them off him. He'd have to reduce their hit points with several attacks before they went down. Shin watched, taking mental notes.
>>> "Nice transformation! Next time, shout HENSHIN!"[/i]
Ignacio gave Shinbo a thumbs up before going back to business.
This wasn't going to be easy for Ignacio especially since it was one on five. AFter delivering the kick and punch, Iggy jogged backward and away from the five bots. He needed to get a clear view on all of them. With a quick breath, Ignacio turned and ran to the nearest...mail box? Huh. It was about five feet tall, blue, and metal. It was down shaped, standing up on four legs that were most likely screwed into the sidewalk. Y'know, those mailboxes that kids slip in their Christmas cards to Santa Claus to ask for various toys and treats.
Anywho, the solar-powered-mutant placed his hands on either side of the mailbox and yanked. His muscles tensed up and his pearly white teeth started to grit as the mailbox moaned with defiance. Ignacio had no intention of giving up. He looked over his shoulder to see two of the five metabots make his way toward him. Dammit, Iggy needed to get this thing up and out of the ground before they go too close. He curled his fingers against the mailbox and with a strong tug, was able to get the metal box free. Yes! Iggy then turned around and threw it at the closest bot. He watched as the sixty-pound piece of metal flew through the air and smack the bot right in the head, sending his head flying back.
"Hells yeah!" Ignacio threw a flammed fist into the air before running toward the other one that had made an advancement.

Tsk tsk tsk. Destruction of public property. His old cop senses sang in protest. If they destroyed city buildings and property, what would the general public think of them? The best hero was the one who looked out for the general public far more than they tried beating up the big bad. Breaking the robots was fine. But that hadn't been the true goal of the scenario. He'd have to make sure Iggy learned the lesson before this was out.
It was effective, however. The mailbox made an excellent missile. It tore through the robot like, well, like a massive heavy object tearing through a robot. Sparks flew from the heap of slagged metal and plating. That left one running at the molten man.
This one saw the man's quick dismissal of its friend, and decided to be sneaky. Right before it hit him, it ducked into a tackling slide that aimed to take Ignacio's legs out from under him.
Iggy was about to do a fist bump in the air when he felt his legs go from underneath him. His "flaming" body hit the ground with a thud. In quick response, he turned around to look up at the meta bot that had knocked him down. He growled in response and stressed out his hand to it. Multicolored flares shot from his palm and toward the bot's face. This was used to confuse the chunk of machinery while Iggy stood up from the ground. He still kept the flare going before doing the same to another bot. This left two more. Sh*t. The eighteen-year-old mutant stopped the flares and looked at the four bots.
The solar-powered mutant ran toward the nearest metabot and jumped on it. He wrapped his arms around his neck and tried to yank it from its body. For extra leverage, Iggy hugged its neck with his thighs. "Why don't you budge?!" Ignacio said through gritted teeth. "come on, come on, come on!"

Bright lights for stun and distraction. Nice... maybe he could have used those to blind all of the robots from the get go, got the girl, and got gone. That would have handily ended the conflict without forcing him into a battle, outgunned and outnumbered. These are the sorts of things you learn after some time with the X-men (or was it the police?). Now he had four robots, and only two hands.
"I don't suppose you have some Vishnu in with your Tullan sun god form?" Shin's voice chimed in on the intercom helpfully, when he saw that Iggy was having trouble.
The head was strongly on there. But the act of squeezing might just have shaken something loose. There was a bit of give, as he kept up the action. He was strong. If he kept it up-- the head would come off like a bottle cap. But then, the other three robots didn't want that. One rushed as Iggys's exposed back. Actually, if you want to be overly specific, it rushed at his backside. A tush rush, if you will. It tried to punch him in the ass.
The other two robots buzzed and radioed for backup. They were with the police, after all. This was definitely resisting arrest. Oops. Had he included a little unexpected bit of a logic and skills puzzle in with the boom boom explosion part of the test? He was a teacher, after all. This was a pop quiz.
Iggy couldn't remember who Vishnu was -- other than a Hindu deity -- and doubted that he could pull that out of his Tollan form. Too bad. As he continued to struggle with the head of the metabot, he felt blunt force it his butt. "AH!" Ignacio explained, looking behind him quickly to see what it was. A metabot, of course! With a growl, he hopped off of the current junk of metal that he was one and tackled the other one.
He began angrily hitting the bot in the face repeatedly, cursing in Spanish. Eventually he did enough damage to cause the bot to freak out. After it had enough, he jumped off of the metabot and ran away. Iggy didn't know eactly what he was doing, but he did know was that he needed help. "Shinbo! I don't know what else to do! Please help me!"

Shin leaned forward, and took far too much pleasure from pressing the intercom button to reply. "Help me, Shinbo-won Kenobi. You're my only hope. You, uh. Didn't say the safe phrase." The magic word, he hadn't said it. Was the Asian really going to make him say some phrase about Bulbasaur, just so he could get some help? ... Maybe.
Naw. He wasn't just going to leave Iggy hanging down there. He'd wanted to see how Ignacio would respond to the police, when they showed up. It would have been a far bigger problem than a few robots. Destruction of police property would have been a subject of interest for the officer (or officers). The young mutant's response would have been enlightening. He could still become enlightened, sure. He'd just have to play his cards close to the chest.
Slowly, the Asian moved away from the God Room's console and started downstairs to help out. He'd be away from his side of the intercom, while in transit. Which was a pity. Because it meant he wouldn't be able to hear if Ignacio actually said the darn line about Bulbasaur. Either way, he'd get his help. Sometimes, one needs help. And help is always available at Xavier's Sister School for Gifted Youngsters... if one only asks.
Shin stepped out onto ground level, Danger Room floor, and surveyed the scene as it appeared to him. There were two remaining robots. Ignacio was running. The one he'd been fighting, he'd punched until something inside of its head had been jarred. It was fizzing and spraying sparks as it lay on the concrete. Dangerous-looking. It was also spouting nonsense phrases. Looked like its fictional Danger-Room-imagined Logic systems were out of whack.
"Stop! In the name of-- bzzt. Before you break-- bzzt. Fzzt." It was almost singing. Strange how one little super strong punch to the head unit could jar something loose inside in just the right way to create a comical effect. The lyrics were only police protocol, of course. It wasn't ACTUALLY singing. Stop in the name of the law. Before you break-- something. Shin stared down at it, and sighed. Those sparks were dangerous. His wedding ring went in one eye camera, and out the other in a flash. Then, he spun and started chasing after the two Metabots that were chasing Iggy.
