That much was true, but Iggy didn't say it out loud. The last thing he wanted to do was say a sly remark to a mass murderer.
>> "I have no reason to harm you unless you decide to attack me, in that case i would seek to disable you first, causing only enough damage to knock you out or keep you from continuing the fight. Of your power however you intended to kill me i would still try and disable first but would use lethal force to protect my life."
Ignacio slowly nodded his head in understanding. Okay, so at least he wouldn't end up as her next victim. "Está bien." Was all he could say in response. He gave her one of his signature bright smiles. "I have no intention on killing you. Trust me."
>> "Harmless or not is not the issue, the fact you are mutant means you have nothing to fear from me provided you no not bring harm to out people"
"...I..." Iggy blinked a couple of times, "should we head back inside or are you okay with this heat?"
"You don't now, but if you become an x-men it will be your duty to stop people like me. " she said simply, seeming to be unfazed by the idea she might have to fight the guy in front of her in the suture. "Who knows maybe the x-men are right and i am simply a monster, but with what i have done all i can do is stick to my path and keep moving.
"I grew up in a war zone. My first memories were of learning to kill and how to fight. Those who refused to fight, refused to kill the humans, were themselves killed. The sounds of automatic weapon fire and mortars became like music after awhile. For about two years that was life, then i watched everyone i care about die. Shortly after i found my way to New york city, i had no idea humanity and mutants were not in open war and by the time i did their was to much blood on my hands" she said a brief sad look in her eye. She recalled the faces of all 200 of her friends who died that day, she had buried them all herself.
"I am fine with the heat, thank you. I Hope your story is kinder the mine?" she asked curiously, figuring it was if he sided with x-men.
Ignacio listened closely to what Aura had to say. She was explaining to him the reason as to why she was the way that she was. It made sense to Iggy to feel this way especially her being born in war against mutants and humans. He hated that Aura had to experience everything that she did. No one should have to feel that way.
"I-I'm sorry about what you had to go through, Aura. I can only hope that you're able to he-heal properly." Though, what if doing what she did was her therapy?
>> "I am fine with the heat, thank you. I Hope your story is kinder the mine?"
At the question, Ignacio sighed, "maybe...a little." He sighed and looked down at the ground. "...One day, my powers went haywire and I accidentally killed my parents. I-It wasn't my fault, something stuck in my neck and...that's when everything went wrong."
"Some thing's you never heal from. These hands will never again be clean. You had an accident, a terrible accident yes, but an accident all the same. We need to be able to identify those like us as early as possible in order to help us learn to use our powers so things like that will not happen as much. she said shaking her head.
"Don't ever consider yourself a monster and if you ever consider you might be, consider me. I am a monster and one day i will die upon the battlefield. Your path should leave a lot less bodies though and keep your hands for less stained, you might even live long enough to retire" she said finishing on a humorous note. She would never see that kind of age she knew. One could only fight for so long before their luck ran out and they were slain.
"I don't recall my parents, My memories were largely wiped so i dont recall anything before my powers emerging and even then their are inconsistencies with where they were manipulated and altered. Life is not always kind but it gives us our purpose and our destinies to play out" she said with a shrug. She had somewhat gotten over her past though their were times when she wished she could be like the guy in front of her and not be feared all over the world as a monster.
