MutationsVibrokenesis
Mutation description: Cyril is able to manipulate vibrations.
Strengths: Cyril can manipulate the three properties of any vibration:
Frequency/Hertz: This controls how many times per second an object vibrates
Displacement/Velocity: This controls how "large" each vibration is.
Acceleration: This controls how quickly the other two factors can be altered, or how quickly he can turn them on or off.
Weaknesses and Limitations:Cyril can only pick 2 of his 3 factors to work with at a time effectively. Examples:
Frequency & Acceleration: He could alter a vibration's frequency almost instant acceleration, but the vibrations would be tiny jitters. (Creates smaller jittery vibrations, affects fear response more.)
Displacement & Acceleration: Cyril could create a much larger "shockwave" type vibration almost instantly, but due to it's slow frequency, it could essentially only be done once at a time, not shaking like an earthquake. (Creates a single more powerful shockwave, affects muscles more.)
Displacement & Frequency: Cyril could create a large "shockwave" type vibrations on a repeated scale to shake down a larger structure, but it would take a very long time to work up the velocity and increase the hertz, due to his lack of acceleration. (Creates a "quake" effect, but takes almost half an hour or more to reach full throttle. Takes a high toll on his mind and body.)
Frequency, Displacement & Acceleration: By not utilizing any of his three of his abilities to their full extent, he can have a somewhat slow start up to a somewhat powerful and somewhat quick vibration. Like a slow heavy but mild shake. (His most mediocre use of the power, and also takes the highest toll on his body and mind.)
The farther Cyril's vibrations get away from him, the weaker they become. While he can do things like naturally emit passive vibrations that can scramble radio signals at long distance, his shockwaves are most effective at point blank range.
Cyril's vibrations require a medium to travel through, be it air, water, or the ground. They travel fastest through solids, slower through liquids and slower through gasses. In spite of this, Cyril is still able to project vibrations through air to roughly 3 meters at significant strength; they taper off almost immediately afterwords.
Body Strain (Muscle Factor):
Cyrils vibrations are created physically with millions of tiny muscle tremors, and then magnified hundreds of times as they emit out from his body. He has to project vibrations from a specific muscle or point on his body, and generating vibrations tightens the muscles in that area of his body. Thus, using his powers at high strain for ten minutes can and does restrict his blood flow, making his limb seize up, and disrupting blood flow in his body, causing fatigue. A single max power "Shockwave" type vibration will immediately constrict the blood flow of the limb used to activate it, rendering it unusable for a few minutes.
Mental Strain (Fear Factor):
Any usage of his abilities causes millions of microvibrations to tremble through his body; this jiggles the extremely delicate neural wiring his brain, specifically in the Amygdala. The result is a physical and emotional tremor: the triggering of an irrational fear response. The longer Cyril uses his powers, the more afraid and shaken he becomes. Even slight use of his powers can trigger fear in him, but using for more than ten minutes is certain to affect his psyche.
Physical AbilitiesGeneral Physical Capabilities: Cyril is a naturally thin guy, and doesn't work out.
Fighting Style: Although he frequently purports to be able to fight other rappers, he is terrible at actually fighting.
Fighting Style Pros/Cons:History Of Your CharacterWhen Cyril was an infant, his parents bought their first home in sweden. A happy functioning family, his American father was a poet and translator of french literature, and Swedish mother worked in global activism, traveling across the globe in support of mutant rights.
But in spite of his parents awareness, they didn't realize they had a mutant living under their own roof. Cyril was a queer child, with queer habits, like making strange noises. It wasn't until these noises got louder and louder that Cyril's parents realized he was magnifying the vibrations of his voice with his powers.
Sweden was a relatively safe haven for mutant kind in Cyril's childhood though, so he grew up alongside other humans without any second looks. The first time Cyril realized his mutation could be considered harmful was when police knocked on his door one night in 2002, with a complaint from the local radio station that their frequency was being tampered with. It turned out that Cyril's passive vibrations were causing a dead zone for a couple of blocks.
In his youth, Cyril developed a fascination with hip hop, and he was frequently ousted for being a troublemaker, his mutation not even a factor. He developed a small group of friends who often got busted for doing graffiti or small drug offenses. He ended up getting a job at mcdonalds, and eventually used school to his advantage: he recorded parts of his first mix tape in the academic computer lab.
Cyril was a charming and always irkingly attractive young boy, but his charms could only take him so far. And that distance actually seemed to be very short. Eventually, Cyril dropped out of school at 16.
Early in 2013, Cyril dropped his first mixtape, assisted by his gang's bedroom beat production and his own beatboxing. He donned the name Yung Blitzkrieg. And when the album "Bummer Styx 2002" hit the internet, something about his formula was intoxicating. He was a well off, white, incredibly attractive, swedish accented, sixteen year old who was rapping over distorted beatboxing about dropping out of school, depression, and wasting his life. His first video, "Aqutallion," went lightly viral.
Quite suddenly, Yung Blitzkrieg was a name on the tongue of many an internet savy teenager, and when parents began to hear the bizarre music their children were listening to, they analyzed and tore apart Cyril's lazy rap. But what astounded adults the most was how kids could now get famous on the internet through bullshit like this.
After the initial hype, Yung Blitzkreig became a niche market, attracting a subculture of ironic and depressed teenagers. But the calm wouldn't last forever. Just after Cyril linked up with real producers, and dropped his first full length studio album in late 2013, it got out on the internet that he was in fact a mutant. The album drop—which tossed out a few casual bars about Cyril's own mutant abilities— coincided with a viral video of American authorities brutalizing a young mutant. After his first mix tape Cyril had seen a descent reach: now he exploded.
Immediately, religious groups denounced his ironically dark music as satanic, as mutant propaganda. Cyril's parents began receiving calls from child protective services. Legitimate and well read US newspapers began writing articles on the controversy, analyzing the strange phenomenon that was Yung Blitz. Was this the pinnacle of today's teenager? Mutant worshipping no-good drug using rap fans? Was this what the youth of sweden was like? Was this what the youth of America was becoming?
The controversy Cyril had to cancel his tour dates in America due to rising tensions, and he soon retreated into himself, disappearing from the public eye. He started to spend a lot of time at home, away from his friends, listening to "serious" rap music and reggae, and developing his incredible mutant abilities.
By the time Yung Blitzkrieg came out with a new album, in winter of 2016, he was largely irrelevant. Finding his 2013 "ironic" music to be cringe laden, Cyril, now aged 20, was attempting to make something a bit more meaningful. But he internet had largely stopped listening. The initial luck of his release date, and the shock value of his odd content was lost; the internet got bored of things quickly.
At the start of spring 2017, Cyril decided to fly out to America and do some collaborations with up and coming rappers who were willing to pay him for features. But he was afraid of what he would face when he got there.
America was the center of all of his hype, and almost all of his fans. Would his old fans swarm him, asking about old music that he now came to resent? Would he be ridiculed for the viral mess that was "Bummer Styx?" Would people call his bluff as a rapper and find out how fragile and cushioned his life had been? Would try to fight him?
Or worse… Would nobody remember him at all?

Sample RP:Cyril moved through the airport like a ghost.
"Now boarding group A flight two three—" The whinny of a female announcer's voice crackled across the terminal, "—Five four. Boarding Group A is now being seated. Flight two three—"
Each step barely touched the ground before glancing off, propelling him foreword with an almost imperceptible treadmill of paces. He had reason to be light on his feet.

Cyril took his seat in first class, flight two three seven two, seat thirteen. The swedish airport rarely had delays, and they devoted their few largest jets to the most populated flights: those headed to America. It was late in the evening, and silver clouds began to pull into orange curtains, shrouding the indolent sun and giving it another chance to relax. Days were short in the winter.
In flight, a lot of people slept. Sometimes Cyril liked to get to know the people around him. But today he had three seats to himself, so all he had to contemplate were nuisances, fleeting thoughts of self destruction, like quaking the jet into scrap metal and feeling his bones crack on the surface of the ocean. Even a tiny crack in the glass would due to screw up the air pressure, thought the twenty something who was far too old to be thinking in that manner.
He checked his phone and was surprised to see that he had both service and a text message from a brooklyn rap producer. This was the "real deal" sort of guy who Cyril wanted to get in with. There was more to his art than mumbled bars about making out with medusa.
Cyril ultimately decided not to shatter the jet plane. Hopefully this was a sign of good things to come.
