The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Leon let out a muffled growl, gritting his teeth as another spine was pulled from his back by the root. He was laying down on operating table, his back and quills exposed. Doc Prof hovered over him, his hands and arms covered in protective gloves to prevent any accidents as he worked. A pair of surgical pliers in hand, he had just pulled one of Leons spines out, placing it in a metal pan with a pile of quills. The quills were much thicker then the typical hair folical, comparable to porcupine quills, so pulling them one byone was a uncomfortable process. However it was one Leon was willing to endure. It was probably the first real solution anyone had ever offered him. He of course had his doubts about it. His brand of luck was such that he never gave his hopes up, but in this case he was dangerously close to doing so. It had been Doc Profs idea. During a check-up to see how he was doing, he had mentoned the possibility of trying to excise the poisonous quills. Generally they broke off, regrowing in an hour, but he suggested removing them at the root to see if it would stop the regrowth. He couldn't make any promises or course, but it was worth an attempt, if nothing else then to better understand the nature of his unique biology.
Thus far it had taken about two hours to pull most of the quills, He had left the non-poisonous ones at the end of his tail, focusing his efforts on the ones that could do the most damage. He had been working his way from the bottom up, and was now pulling spines frong his shoulders and neck. Each pull was tough and painful, but Leon hadn't complained, though there were several scratch marks on the table where he had beared his claws in reacton to the discomfort. His skin felt hot, itchy and raw where the quills had been removed.
Kendra found herself sitting in a waiting room waiting to see someone named Doc Professor. Or at least she thought that's who it was. She had some bad bruising on her ribs and hand prints around her throat from where she was almost choked to death last night. Kendra had decided that as long as she was living in the X-Mansion with the X-Men, she could do her part. She had nothing but time, and when she went to sleep at night, when she crawled in bed to slumber. She dressed for a fight.
Her attire was a pair of old ripped up jeans and some sturdy boots, a leather jacket and a gun holster concealing a tranquilizer gun. Tucked neatly under a leather jacket. She had a pair of wool fingerless black gloves she always wore and a collapsible police baton hanging from her belt. Not the most heroic looking of heroes, but she was trying. She was doing the best she could with the merger belongs she had.
It was her nightly dream walking activities that had landed her here in the waiting room. She saved a girl last night. She saved a girl from being attacked in an alley by three men. Not without sustaining some possible broken ribs and almost being choked to death. Kendra wasn't sure what she was doing here, but someone here who seemed to have some authority ordered her to come see Doc Professor. From the sound of things in the other room she wasn't sure this guy was actually going to make her feel better. Sounds like he'd make it hurt worse. Kendra mused as she listened to Leon's screams in the next room. She didn't recognize the pain as anything she recognized. She was far to distracted in her own head to be listening that closely. Last night you almost got'churself killed stupid girl! Next time ..... Wait next time? Is there really going to be a next time?
Kendra was stuck inside her own head, contemplating weather or not she was even cut out for crime fighting. It hurt. It hurt a lot. She did feel great though, knowing that, last night wouldn't forever be that poor woman's 'worst night of her life.' Kendra was smiling despite the pain she was feeling. The smile quickly faded when Leon let out another scream.

"And there we go," said Doc Prof, as he pulled the last spine out. Leon's growl faded as it separated from his skin before starting to sting and itch like the rest. Doc rubbed the antibiotic salve on the last of the wounds as he had. with the others. Leon was a unique case where he couldn't just heal him up, which would likely cause the quills to grow right back. He would need to heal naturally to see if it stuck. "Just keep an eye on it to see if there any regrowth in the next few days and apply this before you go to bed to keep them from getting infected." Leon let out a sigh or relief, his claws finally retracting. His back and tail hurt, but he felt good, which was a bit new. For once he had some faint glimmer of hope that maybe, just maybe he had an answer to the biggest worry in his life. "Thanks..." he said, unsure what the proper response to being grateful two hours for the most intense 'exfoliation' of his life. He got up, and felt a pulse of heat across his back, and let out a small hiss. Moving quickly, not a good thing right now. He reached for his jacket, carrying it rather then putting it on. He was pretty sure he would regret it if he did. He gathered his bandages and headed for the door. "Feel free to come back and see me if you need to," said Doc.
Leon opened the door, walking slowly out to the waiting room as not to irritate his back. It felt weird not to have his jacket on outside his room, weirder not to have his tail wrapped up. He saw Kendra as he walked out. She looked a bit worse for wear, and a bit like she was ready to fight. Last time he had seen her it had been a bit... awkward. He hadn't been all that nice to her when they had run into one another. Literally. But right now, Leon was feeling good for the first time in years, and this elevated mood made him much more open then he had been... ever. "What happened to you?" he asked, perhaps a bit more bluntly then he meant, but he had little practice starting conversations, let alone having the proper tact needed for it.
Kendra looked up. She was drug out of her thoughts by a voice. A familiar voice. Looking up she saw that it was Leon. He almost appeared to be ..... Smiling? Well, she thought. It took her a few moments to really allow what he asked to sink in, then she realized that he was talking about her bruises and scrapes. She didn't know why, but telling him that she had stopped a mugging had seemed embarrassing. She didn't do it for the recognition. Though to be honest she wasn't sure why she was going out nights trying to stop random crimes. It was New York after all. If you expected to be able to put a dent in crime you were sadly mistaken.
Kendra rubbed her arm nervously as she tried to think up something believable. "I uh.... I guess I should watch where i'm going I guess." She said with her eyes cast down at the floor. She didn't like lying. Not that her lie was very believable. She had deep purple bruises on her neck in the shape of fingers. She was clearly choked. It wasn't like she slipped, fell down some stairs and accidentally choked herself.
Kendra's eyes finally did move up to meet Leon's. "You're lookin good. Was that'chu screamin back there?" She wasn't trying to invade his privacy, but rather deflect the conversation away from her embarrassing bruises. In the end all she managed to do was make herself seem like the victim of domestic abuse. Kendra skirted the question and redirected it towards Leon. She couldn't be sure, but something seemed different about him. Then she noticed his quills were missing. The things that he had been so touchy about before. Was that what the scream had been about? She wondered as she tried her best to put on a happy smile. Truth was it was hard to smile right now. Even sitting in this chair was excruciatingly painful. Something was wrong with her ribs. Or at least she thought so.
Kendra shifted in her chair and looked back at the door. I'm fine. She thought. I just need to take it easy the next few nights. She assured herself. She could see the Doc later if things got any worse. Kendra stood from her chair after a little effort and was determined that she was going to leave on her own power. After all, Leon probably already thought her to be a stary eyed do gooder who couldn't keep her nose out of other people's business. She didn't want him to think that she was a cry baby too. As stupid as that sounded, that was the reason she was leaving without medical attention. Because she was worried what some stranger might think who didn't even seem to like her much.
But then again, that was Kendra to a letter. She cared to much about what other people thought. Kendra found herself feeling light headed when she stood up to fast. The room began to spin and cartwheel in on itself. The motion blur of the spinning room was enough to make Kendra's eyes cross for a moment, and before she knew what was happening she was sailing towards the floor. Kendra fainted right there, from the stress of her injuries. They just happened to be worse than she was letting one.

Leon didn't have enough experience with social behavior to be able to tell if anyone was lying or not. Sure, if it had been yesterday, he may have just assumed something negative, but today Kendra could have told him anything and he would have been none the wiser, though honestly she she had really banged herself up, bruises everywhere... now that he thought about it, they almost looked like...
"You're lookin good. Was that'chu screamin back there?"
"Screaming?" he said questioningly. He hadn't thought he was screaming. He had let out a few growls, albiet a bit loudly, but he thought it a far cry from an actual scream. "No... Doc Prof pulled out all my quills," he stated, the unfamiliar positive tones in his voice clearly conveying his thoughts on the matter. Kendra seemed unenthused, at least that is how it came across as she fidgeted in her chair. Leon's euphoria lessoned slightly. He guessed he was making her uncomfortable. He may not have quills anymore, but he still looked like a monster. "I just thought... no quills, no venom...," he tagged on, the downward tone betraying the drop in his mood.
Kendra didn't seem her usual self. He had't know her long, but she had been more talkative then this, and even Leon started to feel like something was wrong. This was confirmed when Kendra stood up, then toppled over. Had Leon not just been plucked, his usual fear of poisoning someone would have prevented him acting at all, and even then he hesitated before remembering, diving to catch Kendra before she hit the ground, ending up on his stomach outstretched as she landed in his arms. His back burned in protest, but he ignored it. "DOC!!" he yelled, now clearly freaked out as he climbed to his feet, cradling Kendra in his arms. Even without his quills, this was outside his comfort zone, he hadn't come in major contact with anyone for years, and suddenly he had a girl in his arms who was obviously severely injured now.
Doc came running out seeing Kendra and acting immediately in a calm and serious manner. "Bring her inside and lay her down," he said, quickly removing his glove. Leon did so, trying not to injure Kendra any further. He didn't know how to handle people, and knew he was stronger then average, he didn't want to misgauge and break her in half or something. He carefully lay her down and backed off, as Doc Prof laid his hands on her, focusing as his hands began to glow.
Kendra was only vaguely aware that she was being scooped up. Her eyes began to feel heavy and she had to resist the urge to pass out. Kendra felt her body being picked up by strong arms. She could hear far off voices, even though they were in the same room with her. When she felt herself being placed on the table she turned her head to see Leon staring back at her. Her eyes were barely cracked open, but she tried to smile.
She felt a hand rushing over her ribs and side and she felt a spreading warmth. It was an indescribable feeling. Like an internal warmth that was spreading outward, radiating around where it hurt the worst and gradually lessoning the pain. Kendra tried to sit up, but the stabbing pain in her ribs prevented it. She didn't try again. Instead she resigned herself to groggily staring at the ceiling tiles.
"You were fighting three men last night young lady?" The old man said in a calm amused voice. "And.... You were invisible." Shit! Kendra thought. She felt a twinge of guilt surging through her. She wondered if Leon would put two and two together with the fact that she could turn invisible and he had an invisible intruder in his room not to long ago. Her face scrunching into an apologetic look.
"I see you fell from a fire escape and nearly broke your ribs." Kendra didn't know how he was doing that. She didn't know that he could see how injuries happened. She felt nervous as his hands moved over the rest of her body and healed whatever ailed her. He finally placed a hand on her head and reversed the effects of the blunt force trauma she had taken.
"Be more careful in the future my dear girl."
Kendra felt..... Better! She hesitantly sat up, and then she sat all the way up after a slight delay. She looked around. No wonder someone had sent her to see this guy. He was a magic healer. Kendra looked at the kind old man and smiled nervously. She wish he would have kept his mouth shut about the invisible thing. Then reluctantly her eyes moved over to Leon. Her face turned a bright red and matched his complexion almost. "Thanks for' the heroics'n all. It would've been bad if I slipped into unconsciousness with a head injury." She said finally.
She was terrified of that more than anything. The thought of getting some kind of brain injury that caused her to pass out. Slip into a coma and be trapped in a dream. The thought of being invisible for longer than th course of a single night was the most terrifying thing she could imagine.

As Leon watched, Kendra's injuries began disappearing. He made sure to stay away from Prof while he did his work. He didn't know how his healing powers worked, but he didn't want to risk him healing his spines right after getting rid of them. As his listened to Prof's prognosis of Kendra's injuries, and was a bit impressed that Kendra apparently took on three people, had a huge fall, and somehow managed to get back to the mansion before she passed out. For all intensive purposes, nothing that he had seen from her suggested she had any type of enhanced strength or durability, making it all the more amazing she had managed it. He did have enhanced physical abilities, and had a habit of getting hurt by his quills, and knew it wasn't any easier to deal with. And apparently her power was invisibility, while advantageous didn't give her a physical advantage at all. He didn't deduce that Kendra had been the one to sneak into his room, he had already decided it was a lapse in his sanity. And the evidence didn't point to Kendra in any case, since he her powers were more then just invisibility, a fact unknown to him.
Once he knew Kendra was going to be alright, when she regained consciousness, he began looking over his tail while Prof finished up. It had been the the starting point of his procedure, and the easiest for him to examine. It had had a bit of time to let the irritation die down, so was a little less painful then his back. If was weird no to feel the usual sharp quills.
"Thanks for' the heroics'n all. It would've been bad if I slipped into unconsciousness with a head injury."
Leon looked up and Kendra interrupted his examination, holding the end of his tail in one hand. "Your welcome." he said, a bit more confidently then their previous encounters. He was a bit amazed he had done it himself, especially considering his dislike of physical contact. "So you beat up a few people?" he questioned, "A bit more then just not watching where yo were going." Of course she had been heavily injured so she wasn't exactly in the right frame of mind to give a strait answer.
Kendra blushed again. This time her cheeks flushed red because she had been caught in a lie. She started to say. I was embarrassed because I jumped to a fire escape only to fall and bust my hind quarters falling in a pile'o garbage! But she didn't. Instead she opted with the much simpler. "Kinda got my but kicked." Short and sweet. Kendra looked down at the floor after swinging her legs off the table.
She had to admit she felt great. This DocProf guy was amazing. He even reversed any concussion damage she might've been lingering around in her head, she was a bit of a clumsy sort and last night wasn't the first blow to the noggin she had taken. Kendra hopped off the table after taking a deep breath.. She looked at Leon thoughtfully. He looked a lot different without his quills. He seemed different too. More at ease, definitely more confident in herself. She smiled. She wanted to be the one to take credit for pulling him out of his shell somewhat, but that would have been a lie.
"Ya know.... For a big' Old red guy, you're kinda cute!" He reminded her of a big old pussy cat and she just so happened to be a cat person. Kendra smiled lightly and tried to avoid brining up the fact that she had the ability to turn invisible. If he hadn't put two and two together by now, she didn't think he would, but she didn't want to bring it up and have the conversation awkwardly stumble in that direction.
Kendra reached down and carefully grabbed his hand. He seemed for the first time he didn't seem all sensitive about boundries, and leave it to Kendra to trample all over personal space like a nosey busy body. Kendra lifted his hand and felt how truly soft it was. His hand or paw or whatever was honestly massive compared to hers, but it was soft. She smiled. "I like the new you. Much friendlier." She said matter-of-factly.
It was a statement that was so blunt and direct it could probably stun you, but she shrugged and said it as simply as if she had said it was cold out. With no thought about it at all. It was true however. Leon seemed to be in a better place. Happier all around, and the fact that he didn't have to worry so much mean that he could hold a conversation with someone, and that was good! Kendra wanted to finally take the time to get to know the guy, she didn't know the first thing about him besides his name. "You feel like grabbing some lunch?" She asked casually. If he was going to be in a social mood she would most certainly take him up on that.
"Still managed to get back here." said Leon, not falling for supposed false modesty. She seemed embarrassed, but her next statement, that he was cute, left him honestly speechless. He wasn't sure if she was teasing him or not, or making fun of him. He was still new to any sort of conversation, so the statement made him somewhat uncomfortable. "Uh... you don't need to lie." he said a bit under his voice. It would have been obvious that his looks were something he was still self conscious about. When she reached for his hand, Leon reflexively pulled back, which was his first reaction to contact. He had years of conditioning about keeping away from people, something that would have to be slowly overcome, but after the initial reaction, he let Kendra grab it, though the soft trembling gave away the nervousness he felt about it. He had a long way to go before he could be considered over his personal space issues. But this was entirely new territory for him, and the compliments Kendra gave him left him with no idea what the right thing to say was, still doubting their validity.
"You feel like grabbing some lunch?"
Unprepared for an invitation, Leon stumbled squeezing his tail in his hand at the same time he struggled to comprehend what was going on here. "um... o...k..." he said, trying to figure out what Kendra's angle was now. Being optimistic was also something new to him, and his previous pessimistic thoughts conflicted with these new ones. Was she legitimately interested in him, or was she looking to strike the 'accept yourself' rhetoric while he was in a good mood? Either way the situation made him nervous and tense and... Ow.
Leon became aware of something sharp against his paw. At first he thought that he had managed to hit the tuft of quills at the end of his tail, but they were nowhere near. Nervously he loosened his grip. There wasn't any blood, it had been like pushing into a dull tack. He looked at the end of his tail, feeling through the fur until he felt it again. A spine. Well, not a full spine, more of a bud of a spine. It wasn't sharp enough to pierce the skin, but it was an obvious sign that his quills were growing back and fast, so much for that theory. His heart sank, he knew it was too good to be true. It had worked for a little bit, and he could see that it was not even a fully formed spine and it had been over two hours since it was pulled, so pulling them by the roots at least delayed their regrowth.. Maybe... Maybe there would not be many? Maybe if Doc pulled them again? Maybe he should wait and see how the rest of it went first, it was only one so far. He tried to retain some of the optimism he had been showing. If his quills were growing back, he at least wanted to eat a meal without having to worry about them.
Kendra smiled lightly at his accusation that she was lying. She wasn't. She found his quirks to be kind of endearing when he wasn't being paranoid. She was sort of already in a relationship. Though it was very loosely defined and she wasn't sure what to make of it honestly. She wasn't looking for anything past mere friendship, but she figured anything more than friendship might be a little intimidating for Leon perhaps anyways. The truth was she had found him interesting for whatever reason and that was enough to hang around.
Kendra was a bit quirky herself. She loved to just people watch, observe them and see what made them tick. She had noticed Leon for his obvious physical attributes, yes; but also because of his withdrawn secluded nature. The more he pulled away and tried to fight it the more she wanted to bud in and nose around. Dig around in his problems until she could come up with a suitable solution. She couldn't help it, it was just her nature to want to want to help. She was sweet and kind, and sometimes could be rather shy. Though, Leon's hesitation caused her to be more aggressive in her pursuit of friendship. She wasn't easily deterred when she set her mind to something. Kendra was a stubborn as one could be, and his lack of interest at first had made her all the more interested.
Kendra began to walk when he accepted her invitation and causally talked assuming that he was following her. She didn't notice that he had stopped to mess with his tail. She didn't hear the discovery that his quills were regrowing. The thing that made him come out of his shell was going to slowly isolate him and push him back deeper. She just chatted away until she realized she didn't hear any large lumbering footsteps behind her. "Ya coming?" She asked. Staring at Leon with those big brown eyes.
This was her chance to finally get to know the guy, who had been so mysterious, so fascinating. She couldn't pass that chance up. She figured without his quills he seemed to be a lot more willing to open up to people and as long as he was opening up she was going to try and make a friend. They were polarizing opposites really. One couldn't go anywhere without being noticed, the other was a mousy girl who often faded away into obscurity. She was just another face in the crowd usually.
She'd be lying if she said that she wasn't just curious about what his life had been like and how he came to live at the mansion. She wanted to sit down over lunch and hear the whole backstory if she could drag it out of him. For Kendra, relationships, friendships, things of those nature were all superficial anyways. She never really let herself get close enough to someone to take a chance. Emotionally that was. Sure, she was pushy and nosey and a bundle of warm sunshine vomiting daisies and rainbows, but she kept a lot of who she was, what she thought hidden. Maybe she didn't think she deserved happiness, maybe she kept trying to form these artificial friendships and relationships because she was desperately searching for something. Manufacturing feelings for people when they had no reason to exist, because she was tired of being alone.
Kendra looked at Leon still wearing a warm smile on her plump lips. Everyone could use a friend. She knew all to well what lonliness felt like. To her, it was one of the worst feelings she could describe, that crushing soul numbing isolation was never good for her. She preferred to be around people, even when she felt invisible, even if it wasn't true emotion. Fake it til you make it right?

Leon let go of his tail, trying to put the quill out of his mind. He still had his jacket and bandages if he needed them, he just needed to check periodically. Hopefully not many would grow back, though he was used to the disappointment when things didn't go the way he hoped. "Yeah..." he said as Kendra asked if he was coming. He grabbed his things and followed after her, his paws not making much sound on the floor despite his size. He was still trying to figure out what Kendra wanted from him. He didn't believe that she wanted to be around him legitimately, given her demeanor thus far, he was more convinced she just liked weird things until she got bored of them. It was the only reason he could think of that she would want to hang out after their rough and awkward meetings. But food was food, and he never turned down a free meal if he could help it.
He walked into the hall, feeling a bit chilly, though he was not actually cold. He was used to having his jacket on almost 24/7. The loss of so many quills at once and it's absence made the air feel cool over is irritated back. It made him feel a bit naked as he walked through the hall. The were other students around at this time of day, and Leon felt a bit of anxiety. After all he had been through, he was afraid of overly crowed spaces, and he looked back and forth in a somewhat agitated fashion, looking for the least occupied spaces to move too. He knew the didn't have much to worry about now, but years of conditioning didn't just vanish.
Kendra realized once again that she was talking to herself. She stopped when she heard a sea of children moving past. Students of all ages just stampeded between her and Leon. She turned around and saw that he was looking nervous again. She smiled at him. After the students were gone she walked back over to him. "It's ok Leon you're not going to hurt anyone, especially me.." She said soothingly.
She didn't reach down for his hand this time. She simply stared at him with those big brown eyes of hers. She was still smiling, her pearly whites dazzling and her hopeful innocent eyes searching his face for some hope that he would realize that she just wanted to be friends. It wasn't a game to her, and he wasn't an expierement she was just messing with. She honestly kept trying to reach out to Leon because she liked him.
As weird as it might sound he kind of reminded her a little of herself before she got to New York. Before she found this mansion. Scared of her mutation, withdrawn. Awkward in social situations. That could describe her to a T. And it might have sounded stupid, especially to someone like Leon who probably often wondered why they were cursed to be the way they were, but Kendra didn't think she was all that pretty. She just didnt' see it.
Kendra stood there face to face with Leon. She saw pain in his eyes. A pain that she wanted to reach out and steal away for him, not out of pity, but out of understanding. She knew what it was like to feel like you were truly alone. To feel like, you weren't meant to have friends or people who cared about you, but everyone did. Kendra was a never ending optimist. It was part of her charm and her relentless need to fish around and try and solve other people's problems when she had more than enough of her own. But this wasn't a test, or an expierement. She honestly liked Leon for who he was, or who he could be. She didn't know him that much beside the fact that he reminded her of herself.
Honestly the first time they met had been kind of scary. When he snapped at her, she had to fight back tears in the library. She didn't want to cry in front of a stranger so instead she put on a flimsy tough girl act. That Leon saw right through, but she saw a kindness in the big brute's eyes. She saw it even that day in the library, buried beneath self doubt and self loathing. She saw in now as she stared in his big blue eyes. "Come on, I'm buying."

Leon tried to relax a little at Kendra's reassurance, "Not really used to this," he clarified, the tone of nerviousness apparent in his voice. Generally he avoided rush hours in the school, preferring to either wait until they cleared or detour outside the mansion. He did his best not to freak out as he tried to transverse the hallway without running into anyone or being crowded in. For the most part people ignored him outside of maybe a passing glance. Mutant school, go figure, he was so normal as to be invisible here.
Except to Kendra it seemed, she was staring at him exclusivly, which made him self concious and uncomfortable. Of course he couldn't tell what she was thinking, anymore the he could understand her motivations. It was unnerving to have someone who was forcefully interested in him in this manner that he barely knew. The only other person he knew like this was a kid, Chase, who showed the same type of energy, but at least his motivations were simple to deduce. Kendra was a whole different kettle of fish.
"Come on, I'm buying."
Of course free food made up for any lack of compliance on his part, and he let her lead him. He didn't know if she was leading him to the kitchen, or had some sort of fast food place in mind, but either was acceptable by his low standard. Living on the street meant limited access to any food, so the mansion, as would be expected by nature of being a mansion, was equivilant to a 5 star restaurant as far as he was concerned.
All the kids were going to classes. Most of the adults were teaching or doing their jobs around the mansion. For the most part they had a little privacy. Kendra smiled as they made their way into the kitchen. She figured she could rustle something up. She was a great cook after all, and what she had discovered was this place was always packed with food.
Kendra pulled out some stuff to make a full meal. "What'reya in the mood for big guy?" She asked as she leaned into the fridge to pull out a few things. She was going to cook it herself right here in the kitchen. Leon could help. She didn't even know if he knew how to cook but he was going to learn today.
"You're gone help me cook us uppa feast." She said pulling out some meat and some vegetables. She set the ingrediants on the counter and moved over to the pantry. There was a few aprons hanging there. She grabbed one for herself and tossed a larger apron she hoped would fit to Leon.
"You do much cooking? You seem likea fella who likes to eat." The secret being here that she was a gal who really liked to eat. She had started becoming known around the mansion as Daydream. The girl who dream walks. It was a cute enough nickname and she didn't mind it, but honestly if people know how much she boredom eats when she dream walks maybe her codename might've ended up being dumptruck.
"Hand me a fryin pan from under there will ya?" She said tying the apron around her slender waist. There was no better cooking than home cooking. She was excited about the notion of whipping something up pretty tasty. Plus it'd give her a chance to get to know Leon and she could show off her mad cooking skills. This was going to be fun.

Leon had no idea what he 'felt' like, food wasn't something he generally got to choose to eat, and he really just took what he could get what he could without complaint. So being asked what he 'felt like' was comparable to being asked what kind of air he wanted to breath. "I... really don't know," he said, unprepared for being asked to actually cook something. When she tossed him an apron, he wasn't even sure how he was supposed to put it on. Last time he had even been in a position to cook, he was still living with his parents. Still he tried his best, though he got tangled in the apron sting trying to tie it, his large fingers clumsy when it came to handling small things.
"You do much cooking? You seem likea fella who likes to eat."
"Eating, yes, but cooking not so much." he said, a bit confused on what he was supposed to do here. It wasn't as if he didn't know what cooking was, but he knew enough about himself to know that being covered in fur and preparing something that people were supposed to eat didn't look very promising. It would be even worse if his quills returned, as something he prepared may end up literally poisoning someone.
"Hand me a fryin pan from under there will ya?"
Leon looked at the number of pots and pans available, and picked out a large skillet. This was the frying pan, right? He wasn't at all sure, but it was at least pan shaped.
