I would like for Leo to make a documentary on mutant life in New York. Chime in if you have an idea or would like a thread!

Do you have something you want to show the world? Something to say to a politician? A power humans should not fear? Just how "human" are you?

Documentary focus:
Ideally, Leo would like to promote the integration of mutants and humans. He might interject a bit of politics, but mostly he'll be looking to capture the "humanity" of mutants: individual and community-wide. He wants to sooth fears from both sides.

What can you do:

• If you would like for Leo to "shadow" your character with a camera, please let me know. He can also start shadowing someone against their permission if you like!
  
• If you would like to shoot some footage to help Leo, I'll gladly match you with someone who wants to be shadowed.
• If you want to be in the documentary but are not sure how to get involved, your character could be at any of the following interesting locations:
  
  • Sanctuary
  • Internment camp site/memorial
  • Mutant owned/operated businesses
  • Mutants in a relationship
  • ? ? ? (more ideas welcome!)

I'd like to edit parts of all the documentary threads together to make a single cohesive documentary post.

Haha both of my characters would be perfect for this.

Jorge -- I don't think he'd volunteer for this, but since Leo knows him I can see him secretly tailing him as he tries to do his job as a police officer and a mutant.

Agnes -- She'd could be convinced to actually do an interview or something like that with Leo. She is a Principal Second Violin for the New York Philharmonic and has visible mutations depending on where she is in her molting phase (wings, antennae, insect carapace, so on). That seems like it would be a good sign of integration of mutant and human and they produce beautiful music.

I'd like to sign up Juliette and Bailey! Astrid would just try to stab something, which probably wouldn't be great for the documentary, so I'll leave her out of this.

Juliette - X, nurse, in a relationship with another mutant, and generally a well rounded person. She'd probably be a good example of a mutant you'd never be able to detect (and wouldn't cause any trouble) if you weren't told about her.

Bailey - Adapted!

Victor - Could be tailed secretly for b-roll footage, but I don't think he'd like to be interviewed again. He's mostly trying to stay out of the spot-light. And certainly not because of his Ragnorak ties...

Alex - You know he's available and willing to speaking his mind about anything. Also, he'd totally be okay with showing off his powers and train regiment. He'll even drive with Leo to the memorial site to get that footage and reactions. He's heard about the camps but being there, face to face with it would be terrifying.

Honestly, since the camps were not that long ago, some interviews with those who lived through it would be really interesting and heartbreaking. Also, looking into areas where the community/population is rather dense on the mutant-side would be cool. Places where mutants have grouped up to help each other.

Ps: I'd totally be down for doing art for this, fake screenshots and the like. They wouldn't be perfect or might just focus on b-roll stuff, but I'd love to take a shot at it.

I'd happily include Tempest.

1. He's become known for his involvement and now management at Sanctuary
2. The above activity, including the Sanctuary Block Party, has gotten him more involved with local political figures
2. His abilities can be a real benefit to drought farm land or getting through a tough blizzard, let alone sunshine on your wedding day!
3. Increasing his public persona will benefit plans I have for him and a Faction I'm planning

We could include some of Devon's day to day though he'd like want to focus on Sanctuary (community and shelter for human and mutants living together) as well as the psychological elements involved.

Glitch: Obviously not a normal human, occassionally mistaken for META.  Also a Mansionite.  Would not mind being shadowed.

I am certainly willing to offer up either or both of my precious children to your documentary project!

Rebecca: Much of what Rebecca does is in the public eye as an openly "out" mutant internet celebrity and as a member of the X-Men, who are currently a public organization looking to do good in the world. When not in the public eye, she is working as a teacher to give a good shot to the mutant youth of New York. (And on your "possible political" angle, she is also an openly out bisexual, and she is not blind to some of the parallels she deals with from both her identities.)

Nate: A redemption story of a former mutant criminal who has voluntarily started atoning for his past mistakes, and like Miss Grey, is giving mutant youth a better chance at making the right choices as a teacher. He may also in the near-to-moderate future be dating a human, so he could be an example of a relationship between mutant and human.

Jorge Cervantes : I will tail the hell out of one of your threads. If you don't want to start a new one for this purpose, link me to a thread you think would work well and I'll crib from that.

Belladonna Honey : Agnes is a great interview potential. When I can fit this thread in, I will PM you. If you get the itch before I start it up, PM me.

Juliette Lawson : I like that angle of "you'd never guess." Is she okay showing her face and "going on record" to say some of those things? Let's schedule an interview when our posting schedules allow.

Bailey Bishop : I was hoping you'd volunteer, Bailey. Adapteds are still mostly only known about in mutant circles. Would he want to increase awareness? Has he had testing to know that he does not posses an X gene? I'm thinking interview.

Víctor Calisto Ochoa : I can see him in some B-roll shots since he obviously sticks out, but I don't think Leo would interview him since he had an AMA already. What do you think? Victor at the bank? Buying flowers? Walking down the street?

Alex Maurell : The Brats visiting the internment site seems very fitting! Let's do this after our current thread comes to a wrap. Also, I will never say no to art. If you feel moved to draw, I'll link to it gladly.

Tempest : I was thinking of you when I put Sanctuary on the list. It seems a natural choice for both of us. When our Lori/Tempest thread wraps, let's start this thread.

Glitch : Do you have a thread that I should read and take shadow footage from? Or would you like a new thread for this purpose?

Rebecca Grey-Morris : I think Rebecca will be best having an AMA to establish her as a Mansion teacher rather than an interview for the doc. I think Leo will be shying away from making this a pro-Mansion film and just try to be pro-BeingBrosToEachOther. If you'd like an interview, we can certainly do one, or double up and pull from the AMA we have planned. Just know that Leo is likely to edit out Mansion-specifics and probably stick with the public eye and bisexual angle.

Stephanie Graves : Perfect poster child for a change of heart. (I didn't realize he was also teaching!) Maybe a joint interview with the human would be good here?

I think Juliette would be fine going on record saying things like that.

Bailey's not exactly big on social justice, but he'd probably want to go on record as saying "hey we exist! Look at all the cool stuff we can do!" (aka the one thing he can do). He's never been tested, but that would probably be an interesting thing to show as part of the documentary.

Elliott is 'not a mutant', according to his own personal philosophy. I think it would be hilarious if Leo tried tailing the obvious mutant. He'd probably get pretty angry, when he found out what was up. First would come paranoia. And Leo just might unintentionally get something illegal on camera, who knows?

With Amelia, something along the lines of Jorge's thread idea is probably what would happen. She wouldn't volunteer, but she'd be willing to give a comment or two.

Bank and just walking would probably work, also, hanging out with his little cousins. So playing at the park, getting ice cream, being all gentle and patient. He's a big guy sure, but he's also a family man and his cousins mean the world to him.

Sounds good, the trip ought to be fun, might catch some conversation that Leo can put in the documentary. Also also, I can definitely imagine Alex doing a science monologue about mutants. The actual facts, like how mutation actually happens and the like.

Leo De Valdenebro and Jorge Cervantes - Lol I love the idea of Leo following him. I don't have many threads where he is actively on the job. Most of them are him just being him (and in private >.>). However I do have a thread with Tempest where something is supposed to happen if you want Leo to jump in and record that. This is the thread. Maybe just keep an eye out for when the something happens and have Leo jump in and record? I dunno. However you want to run it. Or we can do a thread on our own or set something else up to. Honestly I'm good with it all.

Leo De Valdenebro and Belladonna Honey - Perfect! She would be down to do an interview whenever you please. *breaks out the Encouragement Drill*

Saphirus: As a member of the X-Men, I think he would be cautiously amenable to this. He's also in a relationship with a human. He can be found in the mansion, or on the streets acting as a consultant and contractor to the NYPD.

Roach: Way too scary of a prospect.
