The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

”I’m always necessary personal.” Sam responded shooting the guy’s feet with a beam of ice. The ice traced up his legs and while the other officers that were holding him backed up Sam made no attempt to stop. They were safer away when the guy was covered in ice not in cuffs being held. ”We throw him out here. A lot more paperwork than you want.” Sam said making it clear he didn’t want anything to do with paperwork. He had enough he neglected at the mansion and didn’t want anymore.
”They are redoing the tarmac outside that gate over there.” Sam said pointing to it. ”We can take him out there and deal with him until we can get some containment.” Sam said as he continued to cover the drug mule or addict or whatever he was with ice. Once he was fully encased in ice Sam started to push him to the window of one of the gates that was closed down. Hoping that Linley would be figuring out what he was doing.
Yeah-he was necessary personnel, necessary in the sense that without him this guy could do something utterly awful. He backed up slightly while the man of ice did his thing, encasing the prisoner in ice. The announcement came from the Tanoy.
"Will all customers and personnel please evacuate the Airport Immediately repeat..."
"Right, that makes sense Sam"-as the X man began pushing the man to the window Linely realised what he was doing. "Men, help us get the ice-encased prisoner to the window! As quickly as you can please", the ice was about as cool as sticking one's hand in a freezer, Sam would have to keep freezing him from time to time to maintain containment.
"We need a mutant containment team at the gate getting the new tarmac, send an adapted human. "That works on "M" infected people right?" he half shouted to the X man...then quietly said "sorry, I should use my inside voice" indeed the airport was eerily quiet as people had evacuated. They were getting there in terms of arriving at the window, nearly close enough to hurl the guy through it.

”Don’t be! I like yelling!” Sam yelled back as he continued to freeze and push the human popsicle. ”I’d imagine so, though it means that we can’t do anything if they show. So that might backfire.” Sam responded knowing that an adapted’s ability works on mutants and mutations. If ‘M’ gave humans mutant abilities it should have a similar affect, right? Sam hoped this was the case ‘M’ was too unpredictable but Sam did train a lot to deal with random situations like this. He was defiantly going to add this scenario to the Danger Room after this was all said and done.
The closer they got to the window the more difficult it was to keep the ice solid around the ‘M’ user. His temperature now was sky rocketing and it seemed he was growing under the ice. Sam continued to hold the ice as much as he could but the top of the user’s head started to protrude from the containment. Red horns started to curl upwards followed by a small crown of flames.
Linely cursed under his breath as the ice started to melt around the user. Backing up, he saw the full transformation of the user. He could see the flames appearing around the hands, the head growing horns and the skin turning a sickly red. The hands had grown claw-like finger nails, overgrown and jaundiced. The eyes now had a slit iris...Lineley's eyes widened at this slightly. But he stood firm
Fortunately Linely did not fear the devil, the cool touch of the cross under his uniform reminded him of the sacrifice, and how there was only one judge. It was time to go as nuclear as possible on this individual.
((OOC Category 10 pain attack allowance used 9/20) He reached out his mind towards the demon-there was pain here. Needless to say, this man had felt pain before, whole body and utterly crippling. Spasm brought it as quickly to the surface as possible, whilst aiming to keep a safe distance from the user. Pain rippled through his own body , but he was used to doing this kind of thing.
The demonic man roared with anger as every one of his nerves twitched with agony. He was still standing though. He was clearly made more sluggish and weakened by it , but it looked like he was going to launch a further attack "Sam, I think that did something, would have been enough to knock out most mutants..." he trailed off as a large gout of emerald flame shot from the "M" users hands and nearly hit his shoulder.
The demon man was looking at both of the mutants now , it looked like he was going to throw up...gas, it smelt like the stuff you would get from a Kitchen pipe, began issuing from his mouth..."oh" Linely swore colorfully at this.
"Sam, he's gonna blow!" Linely did a quick forward roll behind an airport pillar , bracing himself for an explosion of significant magnitude...at least his fellow cops had got away safely.

Sam nodded his head and watched as the devil like figure roared and howled he was defiantly a loud mouth though with the powers that Linely had Sam was sure he had something to do with that. It was confirmed when the cop said he had something to do with it. Sam shifted his attention and witnessed as the flames were shot from the demon’s hands.
Sam erected an ice barrier and ran backwards behind a wall as the explosion hit.
Fire and ice, in unison blew out from between the two mutants positions, an almost beautiful sight , as the ice melted and created steam, followed by a rush of yellow flame. It was inches away from Linely, he could feel the heat flash...and then subside. He carefully peered from behind the column.
The man was lying there...not dead but for the time being unconscious, his demonic form slowly transforming back into human. "Sam , are you alright?" He hoped to God that he was, this was more than he'd expected on just a typical bust. He walked out from behind the pillar, and headed where he thought he'd seen Sam roll behind.

”Yup!” Sam said patting at his shirt, which was slightly on fire. Ice coated his body under the clothing now and it started to coat his face for added protection for that was the moneymaker. ”Guy set my shirt on fire.” Sam shook his head still in pain not from the fire but the rapid information his sixth sense had picked up. Too much hear caused a massive migraine and that flash of heat from the explosion was just that. A massive headache.
”You alright?” Sam asked stepping out from behind the pillar he was behind and spotted Linely running towards him, ”Answered my question.” Sam pointed at the office then looked over to the ‘M’ user who was in what Sam called ‘pause’ mode.
”Seems like there is some down time after an explosion.” Sam said running towards the user while shooting some ice. ”Now is a good time to wear him out before he gets some time for the next explosion. You think you can drop him?”
"I can probably hit him with another blast of my mutation to make sure he stays down-couldn't hurt" Linely said, looking at the almost pitiful user now barely conscious on the floor. However this act wouldn't work so easily this time round, Linely found the nastiest pain he could possibly force upon the man and seized it with all his might , wrenching it to the present day. ((Category 16 pain attack-echo allowance used 17/20))
The wave of pain that pulsed through Linely's body was bad enough, he crouched down on the ground, winded from the echo of the man's pain. His body felt like it was on fire in every part. A normal human would have been knocked out by such a sensation, but Linely pulled through it. Rising from the floor with a pained expression.
The man looked like he was fitting. He screamed hideously, writihing on the ground like a man hit by a taser. Eventually he stopped screaming...stopped moving...dear God Linely hoped he was still breathing. He ran over to the man and checked his pulse. Weak..but it was there. "I think he's out for now!" Linely called to the X-Man.

”Let’s hope!” Sam said knowing that if the guy would still have a high temperature after a fit like that. Sam took a few steps forward then shot the man’s feet to the ground then his arms. The ‘M’ user was pinned now and Sam knew if he was about to go nuclear again he could launch him from a window or something. At least that way the interior of the airport wouldn’t be too burned up.
”As long as he is unconscious the drug should work it’s way out of his system.” Sam said looking at the guy still not sure what to make of him. ”So are they trafficking ‘M’ again?” asked a little worried at the officers response.
The last thing the city needed was a resurgence of the drug again. Sure there still had been some people using it but it was enough to handle with the META bots now in place it might be lighting a powder keg.
Spasm matched the X-Man's worried expression "We didn't know it was M until...that happened, we were expecting it to be something more conventional. We knew this guy was a drug mule, related to a string of messy overdoses." He turned the man over. There on his back made him more concerned.
Two were letters tattooed on the back of his neck. Black as night, and it was enough to identify who sent him. J and D , innocuous letters when normally put together like this, hey it was even the name of a popular Scrubs character if the officer remembered rightly. However this symbol was part of a far...far worse organisation. If their top group were coming to New York then this meant trouble. It also explained the demonic elements of this guys "M" mutation almost entirely.
"Judgement Day"-the bringers of the apocalypse , the self-described destroyers of worlds, the world would not be reborn, but burnt to a crisp and left to rot. Ragnorok at least had motivations, these guys just liked to kill.
"Sam, this is very, very, very bad" Spasm spoke in an extremely serious tone. "If you think the troubles with NYC aren't quite enough, how about a nihilistic mutant death cult to add to the mix?"

”I’d say I can grab someone to meet this teacher while you fill me in.” Sam said as he made a call to have one of the Rudies come pick up the new professor. ”I’ve had my fill of death cults over the past year.” Sam said grumbling. He pulled out his flask and took a long sip for the number of death cults he ran into over the years. ”What one we talking?” Sam asked hoping it was something along the lines of, ‘pretty princesses who want the world to end’ or some Amazonian cult… he missed the amazons.
Finishing the flask and letting out a disgruntled burp he looked to one of the other officers, ”Any whiskey on you?” before turning back to Linely and resuming their conversation, ”Why isn’t this common knowledge at the precinct?” Sam asked having an idea as to why.
>> "I've had my fill of death cults over the past year"
Joseph smiled grimly. "You and me both, but these aren't exactly cute and cuddly, they make most human death cults look like teddy bears, they call themselves Judgement Day, they've been involved with a small spree of murders across several different cities, each spray painted close by with "Death to Ragnorok". They were pretty grisly murders . We know they traffic in "M" as well. From what we gather, they are mutant supremacists that see humanity as a hindrance to nature that must be wiped out." Basically an awful group Linely thought to himself, one that the X Men would be needed to properly deal with.
>> "Any whiskey on you?" One of the officers dashed off to find some in duty free while Linely continued with his conversation with Sam. "That's how I felt when I saw the first file from the murders, the man had been crucified upside down...and more. Needless to say it wasn't pretty, and that was the most pleasant one to look at." These guys were sick bastards, and there was no hiding from that. >> "Why isn't this common knowledge at the precinct?" "This is heavy mutant related crime, and they like to work with mainly "M" using human proxies, their membership in terms of actual mutants we think is extremely low. If one of our officers is unsound, we don't want Judgement Day finding out we're preparing for them. MRC are vetted far more thoroughly than most, because they work with you guys, but even then only senior members have been told. A lot of what we're going to have to do is going to be strictly off the record." Linely spoke relatively quietly so the other officers couldn't hear, as far as most of them were concerned, this "M" using devil guy just had a weird tattoo.
