The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

When the jug was empty Sam looked to it and waved his hand towards it. Some ice formed then quickly melted under the pressure of his powers. The water would be cold but there was some more for her to drink when she got thirsty. It was important she saw the range of what control over their powers could do.
Sam watched as Xavia fought the shadow construct and observed her fighting style. Sam called out and asked, ”If you took boxing before now would be a good time to tell me before I continue to train you as if you had no practice before.” Sam said trying to distract Xavia as she punched.
The shadow construct was based on an A.I. program that Danger Room was capable of creating and the fighter would change as best it could to counter the strengths of it’s opposite in this case Xavia. So as she moved around like a boxer the shadow construct started to throw out kicks more to sweep the legs if possible. ”Move your legs more and have a wider stance harder for you get swept.” again his instruction was meant to distract her.
"No, no boxing." She muttered, but didn't take her eyes off the shadow. She was covered in sweat before long, taking hits but giving as good as she got. One thing she had was determination and focus, but it was hard not to "sleep with one eye open" after all of what she had gone through. When he spoke to her again, she followed his instruction, but didn't look at him.
Her eyes blurred with the sweat, and she was becoming winded. She gave a grunt and gave a hard swing, she gave a grimace as she made contact and was swept. Xavia hit the floor hard enough for the air to woosh from her lungs.
"Not... cool." she wheezed when she could breathe again.
But in reality, she wouldn't have the luxury of laying there, so she forced herself back onto her feet.

Sam smirked when she got slammed into the ground. The thud was a good indication of the wind getting knocked out of her lungs. Sam raised a hand and the shadowed figure took a step back still in a good stance. ”No, not cool in the slightest.” Sam agreed as she got back to her feet.
”It’s gonna be like this every day, might get harder before it gets easier. You want to quit there’s the door.” Sam pointed to the large metallic doors. The ice-mancer lowered his hand and then took a step back after he gave Xavia a second to catch her breath. The shadowed figured took a step towards her again.
Xavia narrowed her eyes at him, and moved over to him once she could get up, stopping within less than an arms length away. Despite the fact she was panting, winded, and sweating, she stood up straight and looked him in the eye. For a moment, she was silent. There was an odd tension in the air around her, "Leaving is not an option, Sam. T'is is not'ing compare to Romania an' a man name Beledodia. I tell you what he did... He find my every weakness an keep me chained like a dog while he used t'e weakness on me... D' you know what cold does to plant? No sunlight? Plant wilts an frost make wounds on plant." Her voice, he might notice, was very quiet, very deliberate, and very convicted.
She pointed to the simulation, "T'is is not'ing but a means to end for every kidnapping, every torture, every injection, every stalker, every old mad scientist who want to prod at me. T'is is me learning to protect me so I can also protect t'ose who matter... My daughter... My friends... People who do not deserve what I go t'rough. I'm not leaving." The plant mutant meant every word she had said, that much was blatantly obvious. She wasn't going to half ass it. Xavia was in it no matter how hard things got.
