The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Back in 2012 I had started a Halloween plot with a scientist's experiment going horribly wrong and causing rolling black outs throughout NYC. Recently Saph and Locke hunted down and dispatched of the creature. But I had an idea that maybe someone from the labs could aproach the X-Men needing their help. The scientist's research could have gone missing, and need to be found. What say you?

Still looking for people who would want to do this. As far as the scientist that created the creature goes Richard, he dead. But if you wanted to steal his research...
Ambrose would be up to steal said scientist's research. That'd set the stage for X-Men vs Ragnarok, too (JW would stay out of it because the research would be something Ragnarok would be interested in, not JW), because Ragnarok is best when it's everyone's enemy.

Richard is actually affiliated with JW (he used to work for Firebird Industries, which JW absorbed, so he now works for them) so Richard could be in possession of the research with JW (who would know about it, as his boss) knowing and thus Ragnarok knowing, with the X-Men rushing to protect Richard as Ragnarok rushes to get the research from him.

You'll have to forgive my ignorance. I was on in the last few months, but nobody had really replied to any of my threads and thus I wasn't seeing everything that was going on. What is JW and Ragnorok? What is Firebird Industries?

Oops, that's my fault - I didn't realize you hadn't been around. JW stands for Jaager Worldwide, which is the company that my character Ambrose Jaager owns, and thus is the main source of income for Ambrose's up-and-coming faction, Ragnarok. Firebird Industries was a company that Richard was employed by until JW absorbed it, so he technically works for them now. I don't know if Richard would be up for the plot that I suggested, but it's just an idea.

I've been around, but only to see if I had posts that I needed to do. There isn't anyhing stated about Ragnarok in the factions tab at the top of the website, so I had no clue what was being spoken about.

How does this sound, Richard, if you still want to, "liberated" the files. One of the employees at the research facility reaches out to the X-Men. It will be a NPC that has a mild mutation and expresses concern about what this research could mean. There is evidence that points to Richard having this information, so then the race to find Richard and the files begins?
