The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Once again, a certain red-headed trouble-maker found himself outside long after the navy-blue aura of night covered the city. Clouds covered the moon, not that it really mattered. The calming summer air was...peaceful, tranquil.
Cars lined the sidewalks wherever Ty looked, and yet none of them were being hotwired. There was loot to be found, ripe for the picking, be it in stores or elsewhere, and yet tonight, it was safe. Pockets were begging to be picked. And yet the young man's gloved hands remained in the pockets of his own jeans.
Sure, Ty usually found himself restless and out after dark. But tonight was...different. There was to be no trouble-making or mischief on his part tonight. No, tonight was just a night of peace and relaxation. Turning into a dark alley, he leaned against a wall, almost drifting off as he let his mind wander. One day soon he and Tses needed to chill out perched on rooftops together again. He still needed to train his fighting skills. Maybe he should get a few more tattoos...

Gwen tilted her head looking across the street at the idiot just standing there. It was like the guy was asking to get mugged. She raised and eyebrow and crossed her arms leaning on the brick corner of the building in her own allyway. Who did this guy think he was? He was tall and kind fo scrawny. She could take him no doubt in her mind.
She tended to find it oddly hilarious when idiots like this thought it was cool to come into her backyard and just chill. Oh no. She was going to have some fun here. She reached into her pocket and pulled out the little money she had. 4 dollars, a nickel and a button from her sweater. Her face scrunched as she considered what she wanted to do next. Looking up and down him this guy was no rich kid, but he wans’t homless like her either.
Her stomach growled making the decision for her as she moved across the street to stand directly in front of the guy with her signature pipe in hand. Reaching into her pocket she formed a gun shape with her fingers and pointed it. Sure it was the oldest trick in the book but for some reason people still fell for it. “Give me your wallet.” She said it just loud enough for him to hear giving him a rather menacing look and waiting for the inevitable hand off. Gwen was very good at this and there was no way she didn’t get a mark when she set her mind to it.

Ty was snapped from his daze when some chick barked an order, and it was all he could do to keep himself from smiling. Really? She was going the direct route, with the gun in the pocket trick? Who even did that? If it was a real gun, she'd shoot a hole through her pocket, and since she was trying to rob him, it was likely she didn't have a whole wardrobe full of identical clothing. The pipe was a different story.
Had she been male, she would have likely had to see if her and the pipe could stand against him and his 13-inch stilleto. But hurting women went against his moral code. So, maybe he'd have a little fun with her. Then show her a thing or two about stealing if she asked nicely. "You know, you don't have to do it this way," Ty said, putting a little shake in his voice as he slipped off his gloves and reached for his wallet. With the wallet in his hand, and where she could see it, he held it out to her.
In the meantime, he was focusing hard to channel his gift. His eyes glowed red for a moment as he laid the trap, which would trigger as soon as she grabbed his wallet.
~All this vision entailed of was about thirty to forty seconds of Ty stealthily picking pockets. Wallets, loose money, and even the occasional annoying pocket watch.~
After writing the mental silent movie, Ty was only slightly queasy because it was a short one, and when his would-be-mugger got finished reading it, she'd have a slight headache, and Ty would be standing there for her to realize not only what had happened, but that the wallet he gave her wasn't exactly his.
"You've got a bit to learn, I see. First and foremost being, the best mark for a thief, is never another thief."

Was this guy serious. He couldn’t be serious right? Great now she had to deal with some holier then thou, you can choose a better path douche bags. She hated those people. Always trying to save her when she very very much did not want to be saved. She had neither the desire or the need to be saved and would never even try and want to be saved. Gwen was a card carrying atheist actually and rather proud of it. She had seen too much in her short life to believe in any kind of god.
She gave him a look that read her annoyance with him all over her face as a jolt came through her body. She quickly pulled her hand out of her pocket and brandished the pipe in front of her the actual reason for being in the ally completely forgotten now. This guy was a mutant. Crap.
Gwen swallowed hard not sure if she should run or not. If she tried to run he may chase after her. She tried to not let her face show the growing pain in her head being this close to a mutant using his powers. Her focus was now on him and seeing as she couldn’t turn her powers off she was feeling him and every other mutant around all in her head all at once. It was terrible.
“Honestly, my normal targets are more of the tourist persuasion. Tourists are easy. Though for them you don’t’ really need to mugg all you have to do is look pathetic on the sidewalk. They just open up their wallets for you. Also they carry way to much money for New York City.” Her expression turned steely. “Now lets get down to brass tax mutant. What do you want?”

Ty couldn't help but give a hearty laugh. "Me? I was minding my own business. You approached me. With...very bad form, might I add. If you have to go with the brutal, straight-forward way, you'd do better to stick with the pipe. Or get a knife. Or a real gun." He shuddered at the word 'gun.' God, he hated those things. However, her not having one made him able to think quick enough to booby trap a decoy wallet--which he pocketed.
"Personally, I prefer a more...covert approach. Mugging, they throw whatever they can at you to get you off of their back and with their life in tact. But...you pick a pocket, and you have first pick of what's in the pocket." He gave a smile.
"Of course, my mutation helps alot when it comes to checking authenticity, or to deter the thief who thinks it takes one to rob one." Putting his gloves back on, he gave her a nod. "Nonetheless. Ty Fisher. Pleasure to meet you." Well, it was more amusing than a pleasure, but he was trying to be polite. After all, if he had his way, pipe vs. knife would have to wait. Forever, hopefully.

Great now he was laughing at her. That jerk. She rolled her eyes but didn’t move from her spot or move her gaze off of him. She focused enough that she could actually feel his mutation more. Great a psychic. Just what she needed right now.
“I’m not a fan of full on weapons thank you. I don’t want to kill anyone and honestly could live without fighting if I can help it. You don’t always get a choice. Kind of like now.” Who the hell was this guy? Was he serious? He was talking to her like he knew better then she did. What a douche bag.
“I think I have been doing just fine with my own ways of getting money thank you. I have gone years without your advice and could have gone more if I hadn’t heard it.” Great now he wanted her name. This guy was weird. She was mugging him and he was laughing at her and he obviously didn’t understand boy language because hers was not at all warm or inviting. Honestly she wanted to know what he wanted from her and she wanted to get away before something happened.
She looked down at his hand and back up at his face apprehensively saying nothing about who she was.

Ty's laugh faded quickly, and his face grew sincere. "I'm sorry; I shouldn't have laughed. I of all people should know better," he started with a low sigh. "I know it's none of my business, but I just wanted to help. Intimidation isn't a good tactic on its own. Since it doesn't work on everyone, there may be times where you'd need to back it up. I'm not trying to say you're a bad thief, because I've never seen your work. But if you plan on doing it for a living, it helps to have a more rounded approach." Spotting a nearby fire escape, he jumped up and grabbed onto the bottom rung, pulling himself up until he was perching on it. "Obviously...we got off to a bad start..." he murmured. Well, this was awkward.

“Wow you are presumptuous. You do know that there is such a thing as more then one approach? Had it occurred to you that maybe there is more to my method then just walking up to people at random and attempting this.” Gwen was pissed. This guy was such a jerk. He had no clue about her and said sorry but obviously didn’t mean it as he just kind of kept going.
“Listen. I don’t like mugging people. I do it when I have to but I don’t’ like it. I don’t like to steal. Apparently you do. But I’m not you. I once again have got along fine before you. I understand the basic principle of people is different. I am not an idiot thanks.”
Gwen turned on her heels and started marching her way out of the ally. This was really seriously not worth her time. She didn’t want to even bother no matter how much she could use a few dollars.
