The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Kim has very Germanic features, with her blonde hair and her broad shoulders. She is a very serious looking person, despite her personality. She has slightly pigmented skin and a broad-type nose. Everyday clothing style: Kim dresses fairly tomboyish. She wears denim jeans and bright t-shirts. She also wears black boots that come halfway up her shin. When it’s cold, she often keeps warm with a hoodie and a black scarf. She’s also almost always wearing long gloves and boots to hide her mutation.

Sleepwear: Nightdresses are Kim’s favourite.
Miscellaneous clothing: She occasionally wears beanie hats.
Character
Personality: Kim is a sarcastic, yet friendly person. She finds it relatively easy to get on with people, but commonly finds that those feelings are not reciprocated as she can be quite intense. She has a relatively dark sense of humour and at times can be rather insensitive. She gets motherly with her friends and is often looking out for people. She gets very pissed off when she or someone close to her is slighted.
Kim also has a strong sense of pride. She takes slights to heart and finds it more than easy to start arguments. Despite this exterior self-confidence is a deep disgust for her mutation. She pretends to be all hip and happy about her being a mutant, saying she doesn’t care what her “haters” think. She finds her existence difficult to live with, but feels in guilty that she does, as her parents and friends were always so good to her about her mutations. It’s because she was lucky enough to come across good people that she feels the need to be so strong all the time. Despite her self-hatred, she feels it’s her duty as a more privileged to help change the world to make it a better place for mutants, even if she doesn’t yet know how to do that.
Hobbies/ Interests:
Kim is very into music, and enjoys playing the drums. She’s a big fan of classic metal bands like Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. She also enjoys watching violent movies and TV shows. She is also an avid football (soccer) player.
Job or part time job and description: Kim is currently job-seeking.
Fears/ phobias/ concerns: Kim’s biggest fear is of loneliness. She doesn’t like being on her own and romantically speaking, she’s afraid her body will prevent her from ever being in a meaningful relationship. She also has somewhat of a fear of salt, as it burns her skin.
Special talents: Kim is great at playing drums and also claims she knows the lyrics to her entire iPod library off by heart.
Morality
Good/ bad/ neutral/ other: Kim has a very self-righteous mindset. She by no means considers herself perfect, but feels she’s very definitely rooted on the good side of affairs.
Mutations
Mutation description:
Kim’s mutation gives her some attributes of a slug. The most noticeable features of her mutation is her slime-powers. At the ends of her limbs, Kim’s skin goes a shade between orange and that of her normal skin tone. At these parts of her body, she can create mucus or slime. The mucus can be used as a protective veil that covers her arms, allowing her to withstand bigger impacts that someone normally could by shielding herself with her limbs. She can also harden the mucus on her limbs, allowing her to deliver strong blows with her arms and legs. This hardened mucus is about as dense as a brick wall, making it excellent for bludgeoning enemies. Her mutation also causes her to take on the androgyny of a slug as well, meaning she has the full spectrum of working sex characteristics.
Strengths:
Kim’s mutation is easy to control. She has full control over her mucus/slime generation and she has a lot of stamina, allowing her to fight for long periods of time.
Weaknesses and Limitations:
Kim’s body is hugely susceptible to “salt burns”. Being part slug, Kim’s skin burns when it comes into large quantities of salt. He mucus defences and offenses are also not instantaneous. It can take her a few moments to create her defensive mucus or her offensive mucus, the latter of which can break fairly easily, causing her to have to re-apply her mucus. This also means surprise attacks can leave her defeated in mere seconds. She can also begin to run low on mucus if she has to re-apply her slime several times throughout a fight. This can cause her to end up defenceless in extended periods of combat. Her ability to continue to apply her mucus can also be impaired if she’s dehydrated or in warmer weather.
Physical Abilities
General Physical Capabilities: Kim is very athletic, and as such is fairly strong and quick. Her reflexes are more geared towards attacking, so she can be slower to dodge than one might think. She has quite a lot of stamina, due to her training playing football. Due to her physical healthiness, she is also quite flexible too.
Fighting Style: Kim’s got a very offensively geared fighting style. She keeps up the pressure and keeps moving towards her opponent. Due to her defensive capabilities, she tends not to bother with dodging and avoidance as much if she can avoid it. She prefers to try and just charge through her enemy’s attacks and land a good fist in their face. She also has some basic knowledge of self-defence from taking classes to protect her from anti-mutant hate crime.
Fighting Style Pros/Cons: Even when she wins, Kim sustains heavy injuries due to her careless fighting style. However, she can be quite an intimidating enemy, as she tends to just fight through her injuries and continually smile through a fight. She counts on her determination and refusal to show pain to psyche out her opponents and make them make mistakes.
History Of Your Character
Kim was born in Wales and has known of her mutation for as long as she can remember. Her orangey arms and legs were always a point of concern from other people’s point of view. However, Kim was an interesting “subject” from the scientific community’s point of view, as her slug elements caused her to be a fully functioning hermaphrodite. Her parents and older brother were very supportive of Kim, despite her rather uncanny mutation. Having been the subject of a number of research papers on the social implications this could have and also the biological theory of how such an “organism” would work, Kim felt very exposed during her childhood. She began to feel a disgust for her mutation at a very young age, as she was told by an angry parent one day that she “wasn’t like other girls and boys” after school. She did make some very good friends at school, but still felt disconnected from the other children.
Kim found a strong outlet for her pain was to play football. She was good at it and had lots of fun playing with her father at home as well. Whilst she was initially raised gender-neutral, Kim very quickly decided she was a girl and so her name was officially lengthened to “Kimberly”. This was fortunate for her, as she grew up to resemble a girl more than a boy anyway. This however, did pose problems for her. As puberty began, she was soon banned from playing on her school’s football team as a large group of parents complained she had an unfair advantage. As her mutation also developed, she began to produce slime and mucus on her arms and legs and as such, she lost friends and was generally regarded as a freak by many. That didn’t stop her close friends and family from loving her though. They continued to make her feel happy and like she had a place in the world. However, at age 14, a school bully found the research papers done on her anatomy and released them to the school, causing her estrangement to worsen. It was decided by her parents that it’d be best to move away and begin anew, so that Kim could have the best chance at happiness she could.
Now living in New York, Kim became friends with some other mutants and began to find her place in the world. With these new friends, who understood her, she started to come out of her shell. She became more confident in herself and started becoming very outspoken in mutant rights. She engaged in self-defence classes and learned to fight to protect herself and others if necessary.

Sample RP:
Kim bobbed her head to the sound of her music, her hair shifting and sifting to the beat as she did. She kicked her chair round and spun before planting her right foot against her desk. Boredom. Pulling her earphones from her head with a sharp yank and the end of a death metal guitar solo, she got to her feet and slipped out of her room. Tottering down the stairs, she gave a quick “I’m going out!” to her parents and bee-lined for the door without waiting for an answers. She knew she’d just get a comment about finding a job or some such. That would be for later. Later being the evening, or perhaps tomorrow. Kim reckoned that it’d end up being “later” tomorrow too. She didn’t care right now, because she was bored. For Kim, boredom meant football; soccer, rather, as they called it here she remembered. That was one aspect of American life Kim had yet to fully get her head around yet. They had so many funny names for things.
The ‘soccer’ field was one of Kimberly’s favourite things about her new home. It might’ve been on concrete rather than grass and it might’ve been a tad small, but it was tucked away in the corner, secluded, so only the people in the know would go there. Kim liked corners and small spaces. They made her feel safe and cosy, like nothing could ever hurt her there. Another advantage to a secret soccer field was the quality of the players. She’d become quite good friends with them and always enjoyed a few games with them. She noted Robert, a short, ginger-haired lad of seventeen years and made her way to him.
“Yo,” she waved, smiling, as Robert kept a football bouncing on his knees.
“What up, Kimbo?” He replied, not taking his eyes of the ball. He straightened his left leg booted it skyward. Following it with his gaze, he shook himself out and stood back. He raised his eyebrows and gave a nod to Kim. Kim dropped her stuff, and immediately rocketed her leg round to meet the falling ball. She connected with it like her foot was a meteor; she smashed it rather unfortunately into the current goalkeeper’s crotch. Kim winced as the boy fell over in pain.
Kim decided to head home. She’d spent a good couple of hours owning some kids at football. By her standards that was a fairly productive day. True, she was still no closer to finding a job, but that was okay. She’d do it later... or tomorrow. Something like that, she was sure. Tomorrow would be job day. She’d find a job and get some money and then... do something. Probably get bored in work instead of at home so she could then be less bored at home when she was actually there. She’d sort out something. Eventually, she knew she’d do something and be something. That, she could say with confidence.
