The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The booth had velvet chairs and a great view of the screen. Something Daria hadn't seen before she bought the tickets. Pictures just didn't do it justice. She grinned and rushed to the balcony, forgetting her poise and leaning over to look down.
"This is SO cool!" she squealed beckoning for him to look. The theater was huge and the chairs seemed to dissapear into the distance. The entire place was lit by huge chandeliers.
Mike grinned, taking a seat next to her, again giving his jacket that flicking unbuttoning. He clasped her hand as they looked down at the crowd. "I love you," he whispered, leaning closer to her ear. "This place is magnificent. You reeeeally did a good job planning this."

Daria laughed and sat next to him. "Well goodness, You're awesome for my ego. I'm glad you're excited. I was really hoping you'd like it and I got so depressed that you slept through your birthday...
Her ears would've flattened if they'd not been pinned in place. But she kept smling and kissed mike gently on the cheek. "You haven't even been fed yet, but the restuarent is 'tres awesome!"she laughed.
"And the night keeps getting better and better," he grinned, slipping an arm around her. The theater seats, happily, were some of the few with arm rests, the bane of all men in movie theaters, actually raised up out of the way, allowing her to slide up next to him. "And yes... I realize you've really set the bar for me for your birthday," he teased.
And they fell silent as the movie played, Daria could feel Mike's mind open to her, just her, as they watched the movie. It was, after all, a very emotional movie, one of the reasons he wanted to see it. And through him, she could feel the emotions of everyone in the movie theater taking on various tones of the same emotion at various scenes, sort of like an enormous symphony playing a tune that was one moment sad and heartbreaking, another minute terrified, and another moment tender and wistful.
And Mike, to his credit, didn't give any outward signs to what he picked up, save for a telltale glow in his eyes that wouldn't be noticeable to anyone except Daria, he managed with difficulty to keep it that faint.

Daria held onto Mike's hand. Getting a glimpse at what his power could do was overwhelming sometimes. However, feeling the emotions of the crowd only intensified the movie. Daria teared up alot but managed not to cry, she'd just squeeze Mike's hand harder.
And Mike, in turn, squeezed her hand, tempted to close her out and spare her the overwhelming sensation, but knowing she'd ask if she needed to. Still, it was hard to keep it limited to JUST her. He could, at this moment, link every mind in this room just slightly, so everyone would feel the emotional saturation, and everyone might, just might, understand everyone else a little better.
But, of course, he refrained from doing this each time it was tempting... until finally the lights came back on.
"Yes... but not here... not now," he answered, smiling slightly and kissing the lingering tear from the closest eye. "I love you," he whispered with a grin, helping her to her feet. "Shall we, my love?"

Daria smiled. "I love you too, honey. You've said that like a million times tonight." she blushed and they left the balcony to go to the awaiting limo.
"I'm so glad you're happy. Now it's time to eat." she laughed.
Mike grinned as they made their way back out. "And where are we heading for our holy crap, is that Harrison Ford?" He asked, switching train of thought in the middle of his sentence without even breaking his stride.

Daria turned to look. "oh! wow...yeah it is...wanna go say hi? Make the most of the night? I mean how cool would it be if he knew you too?" she tried to keep her tail and ears from moving.
Mike gaped at her. "Daria... that's... Harrison Ford. That's Indiana freaking Jones and Han freaking Solo over there. You... don't say hi to a freaking legend. You let them pass by you, an brag that they looked at you."
Yes, the man who shared a soul with an angel of vengeance was afraid of saying hello to an actor.

Daria laughed. "You're so cute." she pulled him towards Harrison Ford.
"Mr. Ford?" The dashingly handsome man, even in his older years, turned around with curiosity at the couple. "Hi, I'm Daria strong." She held out her hand. He shook it smiling.
"It's nice to meet you."
"this is my boyfriend, Mike."
"Michael Asters...my you look just like your grandfather...he worked for me on a case once you know? Great fellow."
