The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Daria and Mike had, of course a fully tricked out jet plane with all the entertainment features one could imagine on their private jet. Daria sat setting up her brand new laptop and ordering things online for Tricity's new baby.
"You want to pick out some things?" she offered glancing out the window at the clouds instead of Mike. "All of the gifts are going to say from Mike and Daria but maybe I'm forgetting something..."
Mike frowned slightly, looking at the orders, then smirked. He clicked on a few websites he'd seen before, spent about twenty minutes entering things in, then chuckled as he turned the screen back to Daria, showing her a perfect infant-sized copy of the X-Uniforms. "If you have the internet, you can find ANYTHING," he joked, handing the laptop back to her. She could see that, along with doing this, he'd ordered a few more outfits for Tristan. Normal ones, thankfully.

Daria burst out laughing so hard her stitches hurt. When the pain died down they should've itched but the doc had given her cream for that.
"I guess we are kind of popular, MIke." she said in reference to the x-men. "That's just the cutest thing...can we get it, oh it'd be such a cute gift!!! Tricity will love it I can see the look on her face now!."
she smiled and her ears twitched. "Maybe the baby will like it so much he'll say Auntie Dar Dar..." she grinned.
Mike chuckled. "All right... if it makes you feel better to think that, you just go ahead and think that," he teased. Truth be told, he was still feeling quite a bit more than a little nervous being responsible for a child in any way more than just picking it up and playing with it when he happened to be in the same room as it. It was all he could do, honestly, to not take Sarah's vision of he and Daria with a baby seriously... because whenever he started thinking about that as more than just a distant possibility, and think that it could actually happen soon, it scared the fuck out of him, because he was fairly positive that he was NOT cut out to be a father.

However Daria was all set and eager to be a 'mommy' and it showed in the way she excitedly clicked 'add to cart' on almost everything she saw, a huge grin on her face.
The stewardess came out with a cart filled with refreshments. "May I offer you anything to drink?" She asked.
Daria didn't want anything to drink and she said so without looking up from the computer. The stewardess was pretty, with curly brown hair and long legs. She pulled out a plate of Sushi which Daria, of course said yes to and pointed, still not looking, to where she wanted the tray placed.
"And you sir?" the stewardess asked Mike sweetly. "Full meals are available and made for your preferences."
Mike quirked an eyebrow, and, being hungry, gave her his food order, resisting the temptation to ask for something... stronger to drink. She came back, giving him a wink as she handed him a beverage, assuring him that his food would be ready shortly, and that if he needed ANYTHING, he need only ask her. Mike wondered, slightly amused, how much Daria was paying attention to this one because usually she'd be ready to gouge eyes out of women who hit on him. For his part, he was avoiding looking at the computer screen as much as he could, and looking fairly uneasy when he did.

When the waiter left Daria looked up and said simply.
"I don't like her." she hadn't hired the plane staff of course but she was ready to sink her claws into whoever did. She kept her composurre though, she wanted to wait until after the food was served...you know, never EVER bite the hand that feeds you.
In the meantime she closed the laptop., and swung her legs over mike, putting an arm around his neck and kissing him on the cheek.
"What's wrong?" she asked simply, and he knew she could tell something was wrong.
Mike shook his head. "Nothing," he answered. The withering gaze she gave him at this obvious lie made him sigh and change his answer. "Just nervous. I... the whole 'kid' thing freaks me out more than a little." Because I'm going to make a lousy father.

Daria didn't even need to hear his thought to know what was bothering him. She just knew Mike well enough to know his complex.
"Freaks you out? Why?" she asked, laughing. "Our kid would be SO cute!!!! And you'd make such a fun dad! You can lift things with your mind. And you don't degrade me like my dad used to do to my mom, nor are you so caught up in your job that you can't pay attention to a baby!" She shook her head.
"I think you'd make a great father." she chuckled, nudging him. "don't be silly."
Mike was obviously not having any of it. "Daria... Over the past months, I've been either captured, comatose, or in some kind of homicidal rampage. What the hell kind of a father can claim THAT?"

Daria laughed at him still. "Under those circumstances that would make me a bad mother. Are you saying I'm going to be a bad mother, Mike? Because that would hurt my feelings, I must say." she focused her eyes on his.
Mike chuckled. "No, you're going to be a wonderful mother. Which is good, because the kids will need ONE good parent." He shook his head. "I came to terms with this a long time ago... it's not in my genes to be a good parent, I don't think."

Daria shook her head. "Damn right, you don't think! It's not in your genes? I refuse to sit here and let you call my fiance a bad father.
"For as long as I've known you you've always done what you thought was right. Regardless of what you've done in your past I can't judge you on that and neither will your son or daughter be able to.
"You made a great boyfriend in all your captive, comatose, homocidal glory. You still kept me safe, you basically gave your life for me and I know you'd do it again in a heartbeat for me or your child...what more could a kid ask for than a dad that loves them?"
and one who is really rich but you've got that covered, too. she kissed him, smiling.
Mike sighed. "Well, just don't say I didn't warn you," he said, leaning his head against her. He'd had this in his head a long time... he really had a hard time considering the possibility that he was wrong. Still... she believed in him, that DID count for something...
He closed his eyes slightly. "So what will I find waiting for me in California? Still no clues?"

"For what it's worth I'm excited about having your child..eventually." she kissed his head and then laughed, ignoring his question. She sniffed the air.
"Hey! Your food is ready!" However she didn't let go of Mike when the stewardess brought his food. The young girls faced off, Daria still cradeling Mike's head to her bosom and giving the attendant a look he couldn't see. The girl was obviously uncomfortable.
"Thank you." Daria said simply, grinning and showing her fangs.
"You...you're welcome..." The stewardess said. "I..um If you need...Just call." she hurried off.
Daria snickered and let go of Mike so he could eat, reaching for her own sushi.
