The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Mike, however, didn't sit up... he stayed leaning on Daria, his silverwear started cutting his food by itself and feeding him. He was comfortable... he didn't want to move.
Finally, he spoke up. "And... I'd be lying if I said that... I wasn't looking forward to that," he admitted quietly.

Daria grinned. "Oh yay! I was hoping you were a little excited because I really want a little girl and a little boy. I mean, if it so happens that I do have a litter like everyone expects, more kids won't be that bad. But I want at least two." Her tail swished happily in the air.
"I love you so much Mike. And you love me too, remember that for when the police question us about why the stweardess' dead body was in the overhead compartment."
Mike rolled his eyes. "Don't kill the stewardess, baby," he chuckled, taking another bite. "You know that there would be so many fees and deposits we won't get back if you do that."
His voice dropped again, as if he were forcing himself to say it without thinking too much about it. "And... Yeah, I wouldn't mind two either... or three... as long as they're with you. Someday." He paused, taking another bite. "Or tomorrow. Who am I to question fate." For once, he wasn't all cheerful and laughing... but given what he was saying, it seemed to mean a bit more for the serious, somewhat terrified tone of voice he had.

Daria sighed and kissed the top of Mike's forehead.
"Baby, we don't have to think about it if you don't want to. You're only nineteen and you shouldn't have a kid anytime soon, it should scare you. I'm sorry...I'm not pushing the issue or anything."
Mike smirked. "Ever think tha tmabye I *need* to be pushed?" he asked, teasing. "When you're a guy who can save the freaking world... I need SOMETHING that intimidates me." He leaned back and kissed her. "And... I really am looking forward to it. A lot."

Daria grinned. "Well, I'm already stressing over the wedding...then we have to think about honeymoon plans. Then we need to relax and help Tricity, you know she misses us when we leave.
Then I can start thinking about kids. I mean, the more the better, right? But we'll have to move from the mansion, I want a house, you know? We can send the kids to school here, but I want them to grow up in a normal home, as normal as possible. And I want to decorate their rooms...I'm thinking of Aiden for a boy, I love that as a boy's name and something like Layla for a girl....but if you hate those names we'll have more kids and you can name them. I can have kids till i'm like 30 and they'll still be healthy, you know. And I want them really involved in sports and very agile. When they learn to walk we should teach them to skate and what not and swim...babies are good at that..." she kept rambling.
Hey, Mike had asked for a push and of course, Daria had to shove him off a cliff.
And Mike rose to the occasion. "I don't know... I've given it some thought, and I think we might be better off just getting our own little wing built onto the mansion... hell, we know we can afford it. Life's going to be dangerous enough being X-Men without having to worry about who's going to watch the kids or if we're someplace that's defensible if we personally get targeted... I mean, past year, how many times have people come after us in particular? I'd feel safer knowing the kids were always going to be someplace safe and with enough people looking out for them. And I don't know if I have much preference in names... I just want to name a boy after my grandfather, but the middle name works for that."
He took a few more bites before continuing. "And I doubt they could be anything other than agile and physical being your kids. I wouldn't mind one being psychic, though... but I'm not going to worry about mutations until they're older."
For being frightened of it, he seemed to have given it a lot of thought.

Daria almost choked on her sushi in surprise. "Wow, Mike." she said. "You've got it figured out. Oh that's great, it makes it easier for me to help Tricity run the school and mansion if we still live there." she chuckled and kissed him happily.
"You rock....I'm still not telling you what your birthday surprise is." she laughed.
Mike chuckled. "Fine, then. I won't tell you the exact date and time that we become parents that I pulled out of Sarah's head this morning," he answered calmly.
Mike just shrugged, taking a bite of food. "What, you think I just started thinking hard on a subject that rightly scares the shit out of me for no apparent reason?"
Daria pushed the food away with her tail. "MIKE!!! That's not fair! You can't know that and not tell me!!! I'm the one those kids are coming out of!!!
"And I can't tell you what we're gonna do for your birthday and ruin the surprise. You won't enjoy it as much if you expect it to happen....oh..." she said as if something came to her. "Nevermind...you keep your secret. She rolled off of him and pushed his food back to him.
"But you suck now, instead of rocking like you used to." she stuck her tongue out at him.
Mike smirked. "Yeah, go ahead and think that... You'll wish you'd pried it out of me in ni- I mean, whenever that might be..." he teased, winking at her. It really, really wasn't clear whether he really had pulled that out of Sarah's mind... but then again, when had her visions ever been specific like that? And... when had he failed to get all giddy and tell her right away when it WAS something like that?
Daria was losing her appetite with anticipation. "Oh, I will be prying it out of you." she assured. "Just not now, not while I have information you want." she laughed.
It was obvious she really wanted to know, especially since she was so afraid she might not be able to have children in the way she thought was normal. Mutations kind of ruined things.
Mike chuckled. "Oh, you're no fun. No, I don't know when it's going to be. What good is teasing you if you get upset and don't take the bait, geez," he teased, leaning back to kiss her again.
