The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

“Amanda, Amanda, Amanda.” Sydney scoffed as he altered his appearance and walked down the nearest hallway with a dozen armed guards behind him. He looked like Sam now only had two eyes. He wasn’t used to fighting with an eye patch and while he could put one on without much thought fighting with one on, well that was easier said than done. Sam didn’t have much of a choice, Sydney on the other hand. “Grab the other shape shifter boy and have him transform into Sam. Eight men sit with him and the others with me. I want the children protected and contained till we can get them transferred to the next facilities, Amanda already ****ed this up. I’m going to salvage it.” Sydney said as he removed one of the pistols from his side and made sure the safety was off and the extended clip was full.
“Start with the boy, the bear shifter. Transfer him first and be sure not to be caught!” Sydney yelled as he started to hum to himself checking another gun and pretending to fire it in the air before putting it back into the clip. All six pistols were locked and loaded, two revolvers around the ankles two on the hips and two under the arms. He didn’t lie carrying that much fire power at any given time but, you know gotta do what you gotta do.
Sydney had a slight chip on his shoulder ever since Amanda came up with the idea of this half baked scheme they needed men and she said she knew the place to get them. Granted she did know what she was talking about but since Sam escaped already once and Sydney had lost a handful of men these kids had better be worth it. He did like the girl though her potential was worth the hassle and the two boys had many, uses. Stealth being the biggest.
Sydney arrived at the cells where the kids were being held, the human shape shifter was strapped in the chair and knocked out while the guards he dispatched to transfer the kids were already going to work. The stuffed animal shifter would be transferred first. So far he wasn’t much of a hassle but. Looking up to the red flashing lights announcing evacuation orders Sydney sighed and fired one of his pistols causing the light to shatter. “Lock it down!”
Ted was waiting in his room. He was supposed to have been picked up an hour ago but no one showed to let him out. Teddy was getting worried. Kara was never late to get him. She was always on time. Thoughts of dread started to play in his head. Did I do something wrong? Is she made at me? No. the thoughts flew in and out of his head, but they didn't help diminish his fear of why Kara had left him in his cell today. They weren't supposed to be skipping training today. This was a big day. That's what she'd told him yesterday.
Pretty soon he could see lights flashing out in the hallway. Ted had no idea what they meant. Ever since he'd been there he'd never seen those lights flashing. Something must have been wrong. He heard someone yell to lock it down and that was when Ted knew that something was definitely wrong. Panic started to set in with him. Were they going to leave him here? Were they going to kill him because he was to valuable now? So many questions and so few answers. There were guards running to and fro and none had the time to stop and tell him what was going on.
Finally a couple of guards came to his cell. "Time to go." was all one of them said. They seemed to be very nervous and they weren't taking any chances. They put handcuffs on him. "You think I'm going to run? I couldn't leave Kara unless she says so." The guards just rolled their eyes and started to drag him out of the cell. Time was of the essence. The guards kept looking over their shoulders like they expected someone to come barging through on one side of the hallway or the other.
Teddy looked around as they hustled him on. "Hey, why do you guys have guns?" They looked like they were going into a riot. Full body armor, pistols, helmets with face shields, extra magazines and even M4A1 SOPMOD's on their backs. They were definitely expecting trouble. He continued to shuffle along still wondering where Kara was and why she wasn't here to get him out. They were just reaching the door when the one at the far end of the hallway was breached. Teddy turned to see who it was that was causing this commotion.
There were lights out in the hallway. The faint sounds of gunfire reverberated around the room; Elke barely paid any attention. Her eyes were fixated on her door. She could see little flashes of red scooting by every half second. Something was wrong.
She was seated on her bed already fully dressed and waiting for the days lesson, but her instructor had yet to show up to get her. The Native hadn't budged since she'd gotten up. Honestly, she was afraid to. No orders had been given for her to investigate, so as much as she wanted too, she repressed those urges into furthest recesses of her mind.
After what seemed like an eternity, the door to her room shook slightly, the locking mechanism groaned, and it swung open. In the doorway stood her instructor, just as stoic and imposing as ever. He was flanked by two others.
"Follow." His command was curt, and she instantly knew not to question it. Without a word she stood and crossed the room to him. He walked at the front of their little cluster, while she was corralled into the middle. At either side and slightly behind her marched the two other guards.
Inwardly, as the room she was just starting to grow accustomed to was hurriedly left in the dust, she felt confusion and panic start to build up inside of her. Where were they going? Was she being transferred somewhere? Had she done something wrong? Elke had never been in this wing of the building. In fact, she hadn't even known this wing existed.
Suddenly, as they came to a rather solid looking metal door at the end of one hallway, her instructor turned to her and dropped to one knee. It took all the strength the Native possessed not to flinch away from him when his large hand landed heavily on her shoulder; even more so when he looked her straight in the eyes.
"You've done a good job." He stated bluntly, his intense gaze wavering not even once. "...but this will be your first mission. You are to make it to the helicopter no matter what. If I fall behind, keep going. Do not, under any circumstances, allow yourself to be captured. Should you fail this mission, you know the consequences. Am I clear?" The grip on her shoulder tightened slightly; she nodded her head immediately.
"Yes sir." Her instructor looked her in the eye for a moment longer, before he nodded as well and released her. As he stood, he pulled a intimidating black firearm from his hip. With a shick shick he loaded a round into the chamber. His guards followed in his stead, arming their own weapons. Then the heavy steel door was opened, and all four of them marched through.
