The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

“True.” Sara sighed the fraise that was in response to the first comment about loosing his touch.
“I used to steal too.” Sara said with a shrug. It just made things too complicated, too fast. Sara pulled into a drive way of an abandoned looking warehouse. She left the keys in the ignition and hopped out of her van, only to reappear at the back cargo van door.
“I’m just dropping off some building supplies. Once I’m finished, I’m headed back to the city and I can drop you off anywhere.” Sara said shifting a couple of boxes so that she could reach for a couple of sacks of cement. “Sometimes trouble making is needed.” Sara said with a small smirk. “It just has to be put to the right situations.”

"A thief trying to steal from a former thief...talk about irony," Ty said with a dry chuckle, leaning back and sighing a bit. Man this was awkward as hell.
"I can pretty much get around from anywhere in the city. I don't wanna be anymore trouble to ya." The redhead sat and chewed on her last statement. It actually made perfect sense to him. "Huh...maybe you're right. And today has taught me that blowing off steam is not the best reason to try and steal.."
Sara smirked. "Ironic maybe but it happens." There were things about this kid that very much reminded her of herself when she'd been only a few years younger. She hadn't thought about how She, herself, had changed, but seeing the young man in a position that she had been in, in her own past. It was amusing. Sara had learned from her own old mistakes and had found new ones to make.
"Blowing off steam is when I'd made my dumber mistakes." Sara shrugged as she continued unloading her van. "For me, it's a better time to just hit things." Sara suddenly grinned. "If I wasn't driving, I probably would have done that to you."

Ty winced when she mentioned how she usually blew off steam. "Good thing you were driving..." he murmured. "Me, I did it for the rush. I was stressed, down, or just had pent up aggression, I steal, pick on a cop, maybe even start a fight I knew I couldn't win. Stealing's gone from a way of life to just that--an outlet. I don't need to pick pockets anymore, but I do it anyway."
