The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Ty's eyes slightly opened, and he sat straight up in bed, looking around his room. His room. He'd taken Tses home last night, then went back to get a few things because he knew he'd need to stay with her in her current state constantly, to make sure she didn't hurt herself or get into trouble. But apparently, as he got everything together, he had crashed, and now....it was noon.
Noon!?!
Several choice words flew out of Ty's mouth as he grabbed his bag and took a cab to Tses's apartment. Okay, maybe she was still home. He'd found out about the amnesia yesterday, then they made cupcakes at the mansion til late...he took her home, and ended up falling asleep at his own place...
God he had this way with telling her he'd be back then...not coming back. Damn it all...
Paying the cab driver, he dashed to up to her apartment and tested the door. Unlocked but....empty. Just great. He dropped his bag on the floor and pulled out his cell phone, dialing her number which he never deleted. He waited...then heard the ringing of her phone.
"Sonofa...." He murmured, hanging up and plopping on the couch, burying his head in his palms and sobbing. He was just a big freaking failure, wasn't he....
Tses didn't know this when she woke up this morning. She was all to aware of it now as she made her way back to her apartment. Her lips was stinging, and she was pretty sure it was a little bit swollen. She could taste metal in her mouth and it felt cold when it brushed against her teeth. She never should have let that dumb girl at the mall talk her into this. She was a punk teen with her headphones on and music blasting, and hair that was fire engine red. She didn't look trustworthy. Apparently she wasn't.
Lip rings hurt.
And punk teens were the worst.
Crossing her arms and sighing, she wandered up the stairs back towards her apartment. One step then the next, she slowly climbed for what felt like an eternity. After a bit, she turned down a hall, and heard some guitar music coming from the direction she thought her room should be.
Wrong floor.
More stairs.
One step, then the next. Stairs could go on for eternity. Finally, she heard cat mewing. She remembered that from last night, so she smiled and moved back towards the room.
What was the room number?
Room 665 had the cat noises, so she stopped in front of the one marked 66. She thought she heard noises inside though, and that seemed odd, so she stopped where she was, tilting her head in confusion. Someone was sitting in the room. It was the broken boy.

Ty heard something and he looked up, his face turning into one of relief, even smiling a little. "Oh thank God!" he exclaimed, standing up and walking to her, but not too close. "I'm so sorry! I promised I'd come right back, but I ended up falling asleep...then again I have a tendency of doing that...Thankfully you're okay--"
He blinked, pausing and staring at her for a second. Wait...
"Hold on...you got your lip pierced?" he asked, somewhat...shocked, and feeling somewhat guilty since she was supposed to be under his watch when she did this. "Well, I do admit it looks pretty good on you..."
Tses watched the boy get up. Ty. His name was Ty. She remembered that now. He looked upset and she started to worry, but then he looked better, which was nice. But he still seemed a little stressed and she wasn't sure why. I promised I'd be right back. True, he had promised that, but she had left pretty early this morning because she wanted to explore a little. She hoped it would help her remember. But all it did was hurt her mouth.
And now he was staring at it.
"Don't stare!" She squeaked, and put her hand across her mouth, glaring at him. "It wasn't my idea. I got bored and went to the mall, and this person was saying I looked like someone who was brave enough to get my lip pierced, and they needed the practice. I already had my ears pierced so I didn't think it would be so bad... But it hurt! And... I kinda may have sorta ....said some not very nice words I didn't know and punched them in the face... then I ran away. Everything kinda taste like blood and metal now..." She lamented and made a face like a dog trying to lick peanut butter out of its mouth.
She moved into the apartment, and took a seat on the couch. She was wearing jeans a t-shirt, no arm bands and her hair was down today. She didn't seem to remember how uncomfortable it made her not having her skin all the way covered. She looked relaxed if not rather rueful about the whole situation.

Ty gave a chuckle at her reaction. It reminded him so much of...the old her. The one he fell in love with. The one he shared so many good times with. The one he dumped because he apparently decided the good times weren't worth it anymore....
This last thought made him cringe a little. "Yeah...that sounds like the old you. Hell, I'd say they deserved that one though. Taking advantage of you like that." He sat on the couch next to her. "If Ida been here like I said, I could have gone too and you wouldn't have had to go through this." He gave a soft sigh, trying his best to keep positive, to keep from breaking down.
"You had me worried though. I thought something worse might've happened. But...I'm glad to see you're better." Suddenly...he felt a slight...headache. OH!
Getting up, Ty made his way to the coffee pot, making a pot then helping himself to a nice, big cup of the stuff before sitting back down with it.
Tses did a little shoulder shrug, and tilted her head as she watched him. He always seemed so sad. She wondered if she would be sad too if she remembered things. Everything she tried to think, there was just an invisible wall she couldn't get around. And now a stinging pain in her lip. "I don't know if I like it... maybe I should get rid of it. But then I'll have a hole in my lip... what if I drink and water dribbles out?" She seemed genuinely concerned at the idea.
As he moved to get coffee, she got up and shuffled over to her bed and collected her stuffed animals. She had found them there last night, and they seemed comforting for some reason. There were two white tigers, one was wearing an outfit, the other was much smaller with really big eyes. She plopped down and pulled them into her lap and put her head on her knees burying them in the little embrace.
"If my tigers had red hair they would look kinda like Regan huh?" She said with a little smile as she looked at them.

Ty blinked, looking at her. "I'm not sure if it would or not, but that makes me wonder..." he chuckled lightly. "Though....if you take it out, it'll close up if you give it time. I think, but I'm pretty sure."
Then she mentioned her tigers, and Regan. "Heh, yeah. I kinda got you hooked on the tigers. I got you the one with the big eyes this past Christmas. I'm not sure where you got the other one; I never pried or bothered to find out. You loved it and that's all that mattered. Regan though...heh that was the one tiger I recall you not liking. Though I'm not a hundred percent sure what all transpired there..."
His voice trailed off as he finished his coffee, his mind and emotions both wandering freely.
Tses gave the second tiger a good long hard look. She flipped him over and looked at the stitches, then suddenly announced "Build-A-Bear. It came from build a bear." She said with a nod, then looked up with a glare that transformed into a smile. "I remembered that one! We should try to remember other stuff! And how can you drink coffee? It's nasty." She made a face and then straightened her legs, stretching her arms a bit.
"I don't know if it'll work though. Everytime I try to think it's like a giant wall of stuffing is blocking the path. I can almost see around it or though it but everything else is just lost in the mess." She sighed and frowned. "I'm gonna be stuck broken like this forever." she muttered unhappily.

Ty chuckled, looking at her. "You never did like coffee. Accused me of having no taste buds." He sighed softly, shrugging.
"I honestly don't know. I've helped you through alot, but..Amnesia is something I don't know alot about....something else I can't help you with," he murmured. This sucked. It was awkward, but at the same time it was as if they were complete strangers.
"Hey...you wanna grilled cheese or something?" he asked, standing up to go get another cup of coffee, anyway.
Tses sighed, and flopped back into the bed, before burrowing under her blankets while murmuring unhappily. She was nothing but a little blob of blankets, and in the little tunnel she had dug her breathe was warm on her face. It was darker there, but the lights from the room drifted through the thin fibers of the blankets, creating colors and patterns in front of her eyes. Her face rested on her arm and she closed her eyes, giving a sigh.
"You look so sad all the time, with your memories. What if I don't like mine? What if I don't want them? Maybe... maybe it's best not to remember. It seems like a sad place to be." She lamented, and pulled the blankets back enough to watch him as he got up.
"Grilled cheese would be nice..." She said slowly, thoughtfully.

"That's because I did something I kind of regret. Something wrong. Something I can never take back or make better. I had a friend I was close to, even if we fought alot. I promised I'd be strong and we'd make it...but in the end I threw it all away because I apparently decided the good times weren't worth it anymore. It makes me sad now that I think about it."
He spoke quietly as he fired up the stove, much like he used to. Only his heart was heavy. He'd found it easy to distract himself after awhile, but now that he was here, with her...it was impossible.
He brought her the grilled cheese, setting the plate on her night-stand before going back to the couch and thoughtfully tearing into his.
Tses listened as Ty talked and wondered what that would feel like. Making a mistake like that and looking back to only feel the regret. It seemed like a painful place to be in. She liked where she was now. It was like all the painful things were locked away.
Well, maybe not all of them. When she was around this guy, she still felt sad feelings somewhere deep inside. Was it because she forgot him? Was it because he upset her before? What if he felt regret about his friend, and what if they had been friends? She wished she understood. Maybe she didn't like not remembering. Because then at least she would know why she was feeling so sad now.
"Maybe you just need to tell your friend you feel bad for it. Maybe they'll forgive you." She said, accepting the food with a thank you and taking a bite. She pushed her hair from her face as she chewed and watched him thoughtfully. "Or make them cupcakes. That might help." She gave a small smile and flinched as the movement hurt her mouth. She rubbed at the lip ring again and muttered something about teenage punks.

Ty gave a slow nod. "I know...I need to. But she'll probably never forgive me, and I have no way of contacting her right now," he replied slowly, carefully wording it so she wouldn't gather who he was talking about, hopefully.
He ate his sandwich, thinking it over. "Actually....it just might," Ty murmured with a small smile. He looked back at her, taking in her features. She was just as he remembered, save for the new piercing. It made him sad to think he hurt her...maybe....maybe he was the one with the problem, not her...
All problems in life could be solved with cupcakes. Tses was now sure of this. As she finished her food, she wandered into the kitchen and started fishing through cupboards. She wondered if they had cupcake mix here. Cupcakes would make Ty feel better. At the mention of them, he seemed to smile though, and she beamed, setting her plate on the counter.
"See! Cupcakes can solve all of life's problems. Well, except amnesia. And not being able to read.... and doctors, because they're jerk and even cupcakes won't make me like them. And they definitely wouldn't make hospitals better. " She remarked with a stubborn shake of her head. She paused, hand on the cupboard, brain momentarily getting lost in though....
With her eyes shut and her face buried into the pillow, she could hear the sounds of the hospital around her. People walked past in the hallway, the iv dripped next to her, and she was reminded of the awful tube still strapped to her arm. She could hear the monitor of her heart beep, beep, beepbeepbeeepbeep as her stress level rose a bit more, and she tried to shut it out, clutching -----'s hand tighter. But it wasn't working like she hoped. It was like being trapped in a box, and if she closed her eyes and distracted herself for awhile, maybe she was ok; then she started panicking, and didn't know how to calm it.
"Gaw I hate these dumb tubes!" She growled suddenly, and let go of his hand, reaching for the aweful things, determined to pull them out.
She couldn't remember whose hand she was holding. Who had been there? She was in the hospital, and she was afraid, but someone was there comforting her. She shook slightly as she leaned against the counter, face loosing a bit of its color in effort to remember.
"No....I really don't like hospitals..." She said slowly.

"Heh...I wish they did solve all of life's problems...but they do tend to make one feel better," he murmured quietly, pushing his empty plate back. "Speaking of cupcakes, we have a bunch of the ones from last night on the table." he sat back on the couch.
"Yeah, I hate them too..." he said softly, his mind flashing back to an experience he had in a hospital.
"I'll see you soon. I promise...." Hopefully, the memory that would stick out to her the most would be this one. When Ty, tears staining his eyes, leaned down his lips finally really meeting hers in that kiss. He would come up with something, because he wasn't letting her go that easily. His hand gripped hers tighter, as he tried to cling to every second he could.
But too soon....it was over. And he had to go...
He bit his lip, trying to keep tears from welling up in his eyes at the memory. It was one of the ones he'd clung to in all of their arguments--except one. In his mind, he asked himself if it really stopped being worth it. If that really stopped being a reason for him to press forward.
