The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Tses stopped hunting for cupcakes and moved to the table, finding them on a paper plate inside a plastic bag. She struggled for a moment to open it, still limited by her broken wrist, but finally freed a cupcake. She stuffed it in her mouth with all the grace of a ravenous animal, then grabbed two more and wandered back to the living room. She set one of them in front of Ty, then gave a little hop back onto her bed, leaving cupcake crumbs halfway across the apartment.
"I don't know, I feel better already!" She smirked, and took a bite of the second cupcake once she finally swallowed the first. For someone as skinny as she was, she had a remarkable ability to put away food. "Do I have a job or something I have to do? Will I get fired for having amnesia? Not sure what type of job I could have.... I can't read so that would be silly for most jobs... Maybe I'm an acrobat! I can do a handstand! Well, sorta, it doesn't work so well with a broken wrist..." She learned that the hard way this morning. There was still a small dent in her wall where she fell into it. Thankfully, she hadn't caused further damage to her head.

Ty chuckled. "It does help, for most things," he replied softly, then looked at her. "Well...you're...self employed, to say the least. Pretty much...a thief. You and me had done a couple things together, mostly for fun though. The big stuff you usually did either alone or with someone more...I guess qualified, hell if I know, heh." He shook his head, seeing the aftermath of her attempted headstand.
"You are athletic. We used to race across rooftops. Even jumped off a building once..." His voice trailed off as he remembered the old days. Though...they really weren't all that old. But they sure felt like it...
Tses listened as Ty talked about what she did for a living, and her face slowly pulled into a frown. It started at one corner of her mouth, traveled across to the other until she finally settled on a firm look of disagreement with the idea that she was a thief for a living.
"I don't think that counts as a real job." She said slowly, and tried to skim her brain for some thought of what a 'real job' would be. Probably not just taking someone else's money. "Don't people get pretty mad when you take there stuff?" She subconsciously rubbed her arm as the thought about it, and couldn't quite sort out her emotions. She felt like she was frozen on a few flickering memories. She could see someone yelling her, remembered trying to tuck money away and then eventually the pain of having her wrist broken.
It was a memory she could have probably done without.
"I think... I think I tried stealing something....someone didn't like it...." She said slowly, frowning and trying harder to get the memory to come back.
He mentioned her being athletic, and jumping off buildings and racing on rooftops. That seemed fun enough. She felt like if she wanted to she could easily do a back flip. She wished she could. It would probably hurt a lot right now though. But she couldn't shake the feeling that some of these things may not have been the most agreeable things to do.
"Maybe that's why Regan isn't really my friend..." She said slowly.

"Yeah...sometimes. But usually if they catch you doing it," he explained. "It isn't right or legal, but....that's how people like us got by. The streets can be...unkind. We actually met someone awhile back who tried to reform us, named Jacob. I mean...now, when you get better....maybe there's hope for you," he said thoughtfully, relaxing into the couch.
"Me though...even if I didn't have to steal...I probably would just for the fun of it, for the rush. I enjoy that too much to let it go. And yeah...Regan probably wouldn't like me as much as she does if she knew what kind of guy I really am." He closed his eyes. "I mean yeah, I'm a cool guy. Generally nice...but...well you know by now I'm sorta a troublemaker...I have tendencies where I take my anger out on someone...Usually undeserving. Which is actually part of why we are where we are now." He let out a sigh through his nose, closing his eyes and looking at his green-gloved hands. "Honestly, I half-expect you to boot me out the door as soon as you remember me..."
Once again, Tses felt that strange longing to know who exactly people like them were. It didn't feel like the fuzzy memories blocking her either. It felt like something that traveled deeper and tainted her emotions and her soul. She really didn't know who she was. Not really. Maybe she didn't even know before she got amnesia. Maybe amnesia was just a symptom, not the real problem. She was trapped inside a shell, trying to find her way out. But she couldn't quite get there, because ... there was nothing to find.
"It feels...confusing to me. It's like, part of me isn't surprised knowing what I did, but part of me feels bad. " she glanced at him, and tried to figure out if what he was saying was true or not. Was he a bad guy? Was he really mean? She could see him getting into trouble maybe like he said, but he seemed so torn, it didn't seem like a bad guy to her. She stared at her knees as she tried to think through it. Finally, she spoke.
"Well, I can't boot you out for something I can't remember. And I don't even know if I like me the more I hear about me. Life is a bunch of mixed up mess in my head, and you're trying to help. You can't be too bad as long as you're doing that, right? I think, you just have to choose as you go along. If it makes you feel bad, then not do it. If that's how you get by, that's how you get by. It's up to you in the end." She yawned, and rubbed her forehead. There was too much thinking happening today for her liking, and she was pretty tired of it. She let the thoughts drift back into the haze that clouded her mind, and let it absorb the negative emotions.
"All I know is I need to do something, because I don't like being stuck in this room. It's boring. Maybe we can paint it. That would make it look better!" She declared, and stood with a grin at the idea, serious nature vanishing as quickly as it had come.

Ty nodded. "Makes sense. You don't have your memories, why you do what it is you did, so you feel guilty, I guess." He chewed his lip as he thought.
"True. Maybe after all of this, you'll find it in your heart to forgive me. But if not, well...I'd just have to lie in the bed I made, I guess. I normally don't think, I just...do. Then I face whatever music I have to face when it's over. Part of why I am where I am now. Anger gets the best of me sometimes...then all hell breaks loose." He sighed, then blinked as she changed the subject.
"Well....maybe not paint the apartment, but I remember some things you enjoyed--Legal things. If you wanted to." He gave a small shrug, turning to look at her.
Tses looked a little hopeful, and gave a grin. "Let's do something then! If we can't paint the apartment you should show me some other things we can do. I'm bored... and last time I got bored I didn't have the best idea." She ruefully commented as she chewed her lip slightly, flinching with pain.
Glancing around the apartment, she momentary felt sad he denied her idea to re-decorate, but when her memories came back she might not like the same things. Or maybe she would. It was hard to tell how much her was her right now. At least having Ty around helped. He seemed to know when she was acting how she normally should. Even if that meant she was stealing, or doing other stuff maybe she felt sad about. Maybe that was just her, who she was supposed to be.
"We should we go first?" She asked, shoving those thoughts away.

"Yeah, this is true." Ty bit his lip, thinking. He was unsure at first, but then he decided. Tses wasn't really herself right now, and the 'normal' Tses would likely never let him make up for anything--especially like what he'd done. So...regardless of what may happen when she gets her memories back, he planned to at least show her the time of her life before then. Like he had once before...
Tses' face lit up and she gave a smile that tilted up just a little higher on one side than the other. For a moment, she almost looked like herself, then she smiled the rest of the way, and looked more like the all too childish blond that had taken her place. "I love the zoo! And all the animals and ----we should see the tigers!" She blurted out and hurried to her dresser, fishing for something. Finally she pulled out a familiar leather jacket and put it on, grinning.
"I'm ready! Let's go, come on!" She said and scurried for the door, giving an impatient glance back at him. She pushed on the handle, and tapped her foot impatiently. The boots on her feet felt comfortable by now, although when she first lost her memories, she spent much of the time barefoot. Something about the boots just felt right, even if she didn't always wear her gloves right now.

She kept the jacket. Ty smiled, wanting to cry, but he didn't. He just kept that small grin of disbelief and relief. It wasn't in the trash somewhere, torn to shreds, or even lying on the ground outside below her window. It was tucked away neatly in her dresser.
She'd kept his jacket. She'd held onto it, despite what he'd done to her, what they'd been through. Maybe there was something else there worth hanging onto--for both of them. Hope. Maybe there was still hope.
"Yeah. You always loved the tigers," Ty replied with a small grin, tugging on his denim jacket and tightening his gloves a little. Chuckling, he followed her to the door, shutting and locking it behind them, something he'd done quite a bit. Walking with her, his mind drifted, but not on the usually depressing thoughts or the ones that made him angry.
He thought on the sweeter moments, the ones he missed, the ones he'd wished that would happen that never did. He'd told himself not to fall for her again, but...for some reason, especially now...
There was that look on his face again. Tses didn't understand it, but she caught it when she turned around for a moment to see if he was following. It was somewhere between sorrow and happiness, a faint splash of some form of hope and disbelief. Was it something she did? It always seemed to be something she did that upset him, but she didn't know why. That was frustrating... she didn't have a way to make things better, and even when he was happy it seemed to be in a bad way.
Boys were confusing.
She opened the door and wandered into the hallway, watching as he shut and locking it behind them. She chided herself for not remembering to do that before. Then again, she felt lucky she remembered the jacket at this point. She put her hands in her pockets and skipped slightly as she walked towards the stairs. Her broken wrist itched and she wished it weren't all bandaged up so she could scratch it better.
"I talked to Meggy next door this morning. She's pretty nice. She let me play with the cats, and then I went to the mall. Almost got lost on the way back though. Going places hasn't been hard, it's the coming back that seems to get me confused." She frowned slightly and then when they got to the stairs, she glanced at the banister for a moment, a flicker of a memory going through her head. "Don't think I'm very good at sliding down these." She remarked.

"Yeah, you always loved her cats," he said softly, then smiled when she mentioned the banister. "Actually, you're good at sliding down. The landing is the part you always had trouble with," he replied, with a playful grin, starting down the stairs and fighting this flurry of emotions. He was really regretting letting her go, especially as rough as he had. But he just didn't know now.
"Well, I still know my way around. Stick with me, you'll be alright," he comforted, taking her good hand in his; he still preferred the green gloves they'd gotten that Valentine's Day. He led her down the street, to the zoo. When they got to the gate this time, though, he did it right. Ty paid their way in, not once letting go of her hand. The first thing he did once inside was lead her to the tigers, through the crowd.
Just as last time, there was a group of orange tigers, and the white one that kept to himself, on top of one of the rocks. Ty's hand tightened around hers a little but not enough to hurt. The look on his face was dreamy, remembering days gone by.
A memory flashed through Tses' mind as she stared at the stairwell. She could remember tucking her legs up and sliding at a fast speed towards the bottom, then crashing into someone there in a fit of laughter. It was a happy memory, but for the life of her, she couldn't remember that figure who had been there with her. As Ty laughed and joked about her landing skills, she had to wonder if it had been him. But if it had, why did they feel so distant now? How long ago had that memory been? It must have been forever to put that sad expression on his face.
She was tired of wishing. She wished she just knew.
She glanced down in surprise as he took her by the good hand and started to lead her towards the zoo. They left the apartment building, and let herself be led. What once probably felt like a romantic gesture now felt more protective now. It was like she was a kid who would wander off on her own. Then again, she probably would. She did kinda wander off and get her lip pierced. "You'd think I would have been more graceful than that. I can do a backflip but I can't land on my feet at the end of a stairwell." She chuckled and glanced at her busted arm. "Then again, still don't remember how I broke my arm. Maybe I'm not as graceful as I thought..." She said idly. She almost missed the distant expression that seemed to take over his face.
Before long they were standing in front of the tigers, and Tses got as close as possible and happily stared at the animals. She stared at the white one, distracted enough she almost missed the way his hand tightened. He must be having a bad memory again. That happened to her a lot. She grinned at him and pointed to it. "That one's my favorite. If it had green stripes it'd look like Regan too!" She thought the idea was amusing. She couldn't imagine how the two of them had never been friends before.

Ty chuckled. "You had busted your knuckles when you tried sliding down that time," he said softly, with a small grin on his face. "You're athletic, and actually kinda graceful. We all miss sometimes."
Ty stroked her hand gently with his thumb as they looked at the tigers, though this time there were other people around. "Yeah. The white tigers were always your favorite. And yeah, it would. You're growing fond of Regan now, aren't you?" he asked. "I don't know what exactly happened to make you two not like each other," he lied, "But I think she'd like it if you two were to become friends when all this is over."
Tses thought about it slowly as she looked at the tiger in front of her. In her mind, the memory was fuzzy, but she could make out the faintest details. Regan's back was turned, and she felt angry...
"One day you are going to pick on the wrong person and you are going to regret it." Regan was saying, turning her back. Tses could feel the emotions from the time like a ripple passing through her body. There was pain, sorrow, defiance, anger... Something had hurt her, something that made her fearless and reckless.
"We met in the woods." She said softly, a distant look crossing her face. "I was...lost. Upset. Someone had left. Someone I missed, and I felt empty... angry. Regan and I...we were talking, I upset her, then I threw something at her and she got mad." She frowned at stared at the tiger, as if it would bring more of the memory back. "I ... tried to make her angry. I made her attack me." Her frown deepened, and she sighed. "She doesn't like being a bad person, and I was trying to make her be one. That's why we don't like each other." She shook her head sadly. She wished she didn't remember those feelings. It wasn't a good memory, not like the others.
"I do like her. She helped me, even after what I did to her. I hope we'll still be friends. But I feel like a time bomb waiting to go off." She didn't realize how accurate that image could be.
