The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

It was times like these that Shade wished he could teleport with the lights on. Here he was dangling in the grips of a rather pissed off girl. What could go wrong?
Shade hardly listened to Syn's sugar-coated words because her eyes told the shadow mutant all he needed to know. This wasn't a mistake he was going to make twice. Suddenly, a feeling of dread and dispair slowly seeped over Shade's body. It was a sense of horror and pain. Something, Shade only felt in his nightmares.
A cold sweat had broken across Shade's forehead as the scene of fires danced infront of the intruder's eyes. This time in managed to hear the tail end of the conversation: to never do this again. Then he quickly disentangled from the the clothes and outside before he knew it. The slam of the door seemed to break the trance.
"Woo!" Shade said, speaking to the empty hall. His mind tried to process what had just happened, however, his brain seemed to scared to recall the memory. Taking one wabbly step, Shade shook off the feeling before disappearing into the nearby darkness. Obviously, never piss off Syn.

(OOC: Sometime later.... lol)
Amp made her way to Syn's room, her attitude considerably more subdued than normal. She wore a pensive frown, completely out of place with her bright wardrobe of gold and green. Also, Vibe was nowhere to be seen.
Thankfully some time had passed since the unwanted intrusion of Shade. Syn had gone back to listening to her music and was able to relax. This was a very good thing since someone else was seeking Syn's attention.
Hearing the knocking on her door Syn got up from her bed, strolled across the floor and opened the door. When she opened her door she was face to face with Amp. The girl had a worried look about her. "What can I do for you my dear Amp?"
Syn didn't have to try hard to figure out that Amp was very uncomfortable. The girl must have something important on her mind as Syn usually doesn't talk with the twins much. Not directly at any rate. "What's your question Amp?"

"What's your question Amp?"
"You see, I have a fri-.... I mean, a favor to ask for someone. Someone from the Camps."
She frowned a bit, struggling to find words that got her request across, with as little indicated emotion as possible. It wasn't easy.
"He.... He kind of, helped me out, while we were there. Several times, actually. He's looking for a place to stay, and I owe him a favor. I thought he might be able to come here, but.... well, there may be a problem."
And here came the hard part.
"He's, kinda, sorta.... well. Human."
She winced slightly, but looked Syn in the eyes as she spoke. She didn't want to actually admit that she owed Grit her life, but perhaps the red-and-black haired girl could read between the lines. Maybe.
Syn listened to Amp even while the girl struggled to find the right things to say. She was being somewhat timid, and that didn't seem like the usual Amp. Then Syn found out why Amp was being coy. She was asking for permission for a human to stay in Sanctuary.
A puzzled and troubled look crossed over Syn's face. "Tell me what he did for you in the camp and what exactly the favor is that you owe him other than staying here." She looked hard into Amp's eyes. This might be a tough decision for Syn as she did allow Lisa to stay and work in Sanctuary. Then again Lisa had proven she was trustworthy and loaly.

"Tell me what he did for you in the camp and what exactly the favor is that you owe him other than staying here."
So much for reading between the lines. Amp sighed, and pouted a bit. She new her attitude probably wouldn't help Grit's case much, but she wasn't used to all this..... admitting stuff.
"He just, ya know. Looked out for me. Us," she corrected herself. "All of the mutants. He wasn't like the others there."
She growled a bit in her throat, trying to get her point across without being specific. Then her eyes lit up. "He saved Vibe. During the break out. He took two bullets for us." The frustrated frown returned. Time to try a different tack.
"He's good at combat. Maybe he could teach the weak ones here. So they won't be a liability to us. You know we can't afford to have anyone weak with us, not if we want to take our rightful place in the world. Maybe he could help."
"You say he looked out for you and saved Vibe huh?" Syn thought on this a bit. She supposed it was possible there might be other humans that would fit in the category that Lisa belonged to. She kept in mind that the man took two bullets as well.
The next bit that Amp spat out appealed more to Syn's sense of power. She claimed the man was good at combat. That he could teach those without fighting skill so that their overall power would be increased. Syn wanted to have a powerful force. One that would be feared by all. "Very well Amp. He may come here. I'm very interested in meeting this man and speaking with him. I do have a question for you though. Does he know about us?"

"Very well Amp. He may come here. I'm very interested in meeting this man and speaking with him."
Unintentionally, Amp's frown melted into a smile. Once she realize it, she quickly schooled her expression back to casual indifference, though her green eyes still glowed brightly.
"I do have a question for you though. Does he know about us?"
Amp shook her head. "Vibe said she didn't tell him, and I know I didn't." She pulled out a halfway crumpled card from her pocket.
"Here. He gave Vibe his number. His name is Grit. Vibe told him your name, and said that you're our landlord. Lady." She corrected herself quickly. "As far as he know, this is just a homeless shelter for mutants only."
Syn looked at the crumpled card and gave Amp a distasteful look at hearing herself reffered to as a landlord lady. However, she would put up with it for now as long as it held up the image of Sanctuary being a homeless shelter much like how it was intedted to be observed as. "Very well, you may call him in. Let me know when he's arrived."
Amp flinched slightly at the look Syn pegged her with, and her smile faltered. Syn's reputation aside, the petite redhead had begun to develop a mild case of separation anxiety as a result of being cooped up in the Camps. Now that she was back home with her fellow mutants, she didn't want to jeopardize her status in the Order, nor risk being thrown out. Not for a human, even if he was a cut above the majority.
She held her breath for a moment....
"Very well, you may call him in. Let me know when he's arrived."
.... and let it out in relief. Her usual confident smirk reemerged, and she nodded quickly. "Will do. Thank you. Sorry to bug you."
Her She backed away, and retreated down the hall. Halfway down, she turned back and called, "Killer outfit, by the way!" Then she continued her rush back to her room.
Seizure arrived at Syn's door. He knew she was in there after asking several people where she resided and receiving points and warnings. He had no fear of her. He was welcome here and had a wealth of information to share. He also had things to gain as well. Feeling charged from the meeting he had with Isabel, he felt that he needed to go ahead and keep pushing to the top. He wanted to be a part of this. Knocking three times in a short and sharp fashion, he stepped back a moment. The warnings had indeed set in.
Once more Syn was trying to relax during one of the rare times not much was going on. She really loved when she could relax and be herself. Listening to music helped out alot too. This was only short lived as someone knocked on her door. At least people were knocking lately instead of just barging in she thought.
Getting up off her bed Syn turned off her stereo. Next the girl made her way to her room door. Hopefully whoever was wanting her attention didn't have another emergency. Unlocking her door and opening it Syn found Seizure standing before her. "Something I can do for you Seizure?"
The door opened and there she stood The room behind her was color coordinated to her apparent favorite colors, red and black. It looked like a typical teenager's room with various posters on the walls. Regardless, she was standing before him with a look as if she might have been doing something more important. She inspired a sense of...something..respect?awe? It was strange coming from such a young girl."Something I can do for you Seizure?" He simply stood there for a moment, staring. It was odd to him. She was a beautiful girl, but that wasn't what was attracting him. It was very strange.
" Yes, I wondered if we could have an official talk about things. I have quite a bit of information that would help you and I believe you might for me as well. May I come in?"
