Butterfly frowned a little as she heard Paige say that she hated it here. She replied with, "I understand. I hope that it gets better for you."

As Butterfly watched Paige take her guitar back out and begin to play, Butterfly closed her eyes and began to get lost amongst the notes flowing from her guitar strings. She began to relax and get more lost in the music. She started to shift and she didn't even notice. Though as she completed her shift, Butterfly lost her balance on the arm rest of the couch and ended up landing in Paige's lap. She giggled slightly and blushed as she looked up at Paige with a smile and said, "Oops!"

Paige blinked, jumping as the girl was now sprawled across her lap. She giggled, setting her guitar back in the case, having to reach over the girl to do so, but it didn't really matter. It was...cute, to say the least.

"Heh, I take it you liked the little show," she teased lightly.

Butterfly blushed a brighter shade of red and smiled. "Yeah, I did. I really enjoyed hearing you sing earlier in the park as well. Could you sing that for me again? What's that song called?"

Butterfly scooted over to sitting next to Paige on the couch instead of being in her lap, still slightly blushing.

Paige smiled, noticing her blush. Oh, she could tell what Chloe was thinking. Though the spork-shifter was used to seeing it from guys, she had to admit it was cute."It's called Crow and the Butterfly, by Shinedown," she explained, then began to play the song, closing her eyes.

"I painted your room at midnight, so I'd know yesterday was over. I put all your books on the top shelf, even the one with the four leaf clover. Man, I'm getting older. I took all your pictures off the wall and wrapped them in a news paper blanket. I haven't slept in what seems like a century, and now I can barely breathe. Just like a crow chasing the butterfly; dandelions lost in the summer sky. When you and I were getting high as outer space, I never thought you'd slip away. I guess I was just a little too late," she sang, her voice ringing softly and filling the room.

Butterfly smiled as Paige smiled. "I've never heard of it before." Just as she said this, Butterfly watched as Paige closed her eyes as she played and sang. And in that moment, Butterfly was taken off to another world, mentally. It's as if when Paige played and sang, Butterfly was put into a daze, full of relaxation and happiness. Butterfly just watched her in awe and admired that passion in the way that Paige played the notes on her guitar and sang through the verse and the chorus. The whole time she watched she just sat and thought to herself "God she is so beautiful." And she found herself smiling at the thought. She had nothing but true admiration for Paige's talent. She just closed her eyes and listened to Paige play the rest of the song and felt her whole body just warm all over. She hoped that if she did get a chance to go out with Paige, that she'd never have a day where she didn't make Paige feel special and their relationship fall apart, like someone's had in the song. "Gosh, Paige. I could listen to you play for hours and never get tired of hearing you play and sing. You have such a beautiful voice. Maybe next time you could play one that I know and I could sing with you." Butterfly said with a slight grin.

"It's a pretty song," Paige replied as she got to the solo, making that acoustic guitar do things it likely wasn't meant to do. The song was meant for electric, but the spork-shifter didn't care. Besides, this was a rather nice version of it.

Of course, Paige didn't realize what Butterfly was thinking, but she had to admire the girl for some reason. She was sweet, and for some reason the butterfly took a real liking to her. She continued singing, smiling at Chloe's words, which she had to admit were the sweetest things she'd ever heard said about her.

"Thanks," she murmured, blushing lightly when she'd finished, standing up and putting the guitar in its case, but leaving it on the coffee table for now as she sat back down. "Maybe," Paige answered, relaxing on the couch and laying her head on Chloe's shoulder, closing her eyes. Playing as much as she had wore her out, and now that she was done, she was kind of exhausted.

Butterfly kept listening to Paige play the solo part of the song and was surprised at how she made that guitar talk and squeal. She was doing things to an acoustic guitar that she had never seen anyone else do, and it sounded GOOD. When Paige blushed a little and put her guitar back up, Butterfly just smiled. But what really surprised her was when Paige laid her head on her shoulder. Butterfly was sorta unsure what to do. She held her breath for a moment, pondering what her next action would be. She didn't wanna be too forward, but she thought about wanting to try SOMETHING. Something that would be sweet and would show Paige that she liked her, but not overbearing.

As Paige laid her head on Butterfly's shoulder, Butterfly put her arm around Paige's shoulders and began to slowly play and run her fingers through Paige's hair. She also gently rubbed Paige's upper arm with her finger tips, wondering if she had the guts to do what she was thinking about doing next.

Butterfly took a couple of deep breaths and felt her face grow very warm as she became more and more nervous. She then mustered up all her courage and prayed to God that she wasn't about to ruin her chance with Paige. She leaned down slowly, closed her eyes and kissed Paige's forehead.

Paige snuggled into Chloe's shoulder as her exhaustion got the best of her. She could feel a hand playing with her hair, which relaxed the girl even more. Soon, she was in a light sleep, feeling warm and comfortable in the arms of her new friend.

But then she felt lips on her forehead, and a small smile crossed her lips as she sighed contentedly. Was she that asleep, or did she notice? One couldn't be sure, but she nuzzled the other shifter a little in her sleep.

Butterfly relaxed a little as she saw that Paige hadn't woken up and slapped her for kissing her on the forehead. She was quite relieved to see a smile cross Paige's lips and feel her snuggle into her more. This brought some confidence to Butterfly. She decided she would do something a bit more bold this time.

She continued to play with Paige's hair and rub her shoulder some, but Butterfly then leaned down and planted a firm, but gently kiss onto Paige's lips. She held it there for a moment, eyes closed, savoring the feeling of her emotions just soaring up through the clouds.

Paige was fast asleep, as a matter of fact, but she wasn't so out of it she didn't have a clue what was going on. When she felt a soft pair of lips resting against hers, her eyes fluttered open, but she returned the kiss, letting them drift shut again. She couldn't say she was surprised, but she wasn't expecting her to make a move like that, especially so soon.

Pulling back, the blond smirked, brushing her hair aside. "Well, do you thank all your musicians who serenade you that way, or did I just get lucky?" she teased lightly, a mischievous twinkle in her eye.

Butterfly was surprised when she felt Paige return the kiss. She wasn't expecting that at all. She thought Paige was asleep. When Paige pulled back, Butterfly opened her eyes and turned a very dark red when Paige asked her if that was how she thanked her musicians. Butterfly shyly turned her head away, smiling, but said "No. I've never kissed any other musicians before. I just thought I'd try and show you that I liked you. The music just sorta won me over a bit more." She turned her head back to look at Paige, smiling slightly, still quite red in the face.

Paige smiled a little, nodding in response. "I gotcha," she answered. "I'm starting to like you too, but how about we slow things down a little? I mean, we did just meet, heh. Nothing personal, you might just wanna see exactly what you're getting as far as people go." She winked, lying back on the couch.

Butterfly blushed as she heard Paige say that she was starting to like her too. The butterflies in her stomach just immediately took flight. But on a more serious note, Butterfly paid attention to what Paige was saying and how she felt. When Paige asked to slow down, Butterfly nodded, agreeing with her. "Alright, I understand. I'm sorry if I came on too fast to you. And I'm sure you're worth having, Paige, but we can take it slow. As slow as you wanna go. And I'll tell you anything about me that you wanna know." she said, smiling slightly at Paige's wink and sinking back against the arm rest of the couch.
