The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Ty leaned against the wall, trying to shake the memories of the vision. "You can if you want to, but that won't help me any. Regardless I'm stuck with these memories...woman-beater...rapist...child abuse...it's....sickening...." He cringed.
"Yeah...I'm sure I could've gotten the numbers if not for the past that man has...Sadly though...for now that was a one shot deal. The good news is, I got his wallet at least." He shrugged, holding it out.
"I see your point. Memories can be a terrible burden. They can wear at one in way's most can never grasp." she said understanding to well the trouble memory could cause. She knew their cases were different but she had no real idea what he recalled and for how long.
"I suppose if you look at things a certain way, the man you robbed seemed to deserve what he got. Do the memory's fade at all? I would imagine it would get very very hard to sort through if not?" she asked unable to recall if he had mentioned that or not. She had gotten quite into the sceme.
"Prying the thing open still seems easier" she said with a shrug of her shoulders and a smile. She had no interest in money vyt though Ty might.

"No...they don't really fade. I mean, sometimes they go to the back of my mind, but they're still there. Even though they may not have happened to me, once I see them they become just as much a part of my memories as something that happened in my childhood," he explained, pushing himself off of the wall to stand on his two feet.
"That doesn't seem like a valid idea either. Too many people around, and those things are tougher than they look" He gave a small shrug, giving up on this little heist idea.
"Your prolbely right" she said with a sigh having clearly liked the idea. Violence was still a sweet taste to her, attractive like a bee to honey. She looked around their was quite a lot of people but even if she was largely immune to the common germ...human, she knew her new friend was not.
"Perhaps then we should head home? Their seems little more we can accomplish here" she said looking around, she was fairly sure more then one person had had looked at her and hurried past. Running hand through her dark hair she looked back to her freind. The poor guy not being able to forget such things had to be terrible. Aura found herself wondering at natures wisdom, something she recalled doing a handful of times.
