The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Ty followed her, watching as she used her own shirt to help stop the bleeding. That, he never would have thought of. Then again, he was no medic.
"Left," he answered, taking a left turn into the alley. He realized he was close to home, but that wasn't where he was going. He was just trying to find a nice getaway spot. As he was walking though, he tripped, and when he arose, a small, stuffed tiger was on the ground, having fallen from its hiding place in Ty's inside pocket. Quickly, he picked it up, brushing it off and putting it back, hoping it went unseen.
"I know these alleys here pretty well. In fact I don't live too far from here. So if we can find a nice place to hide for a little while so you can rest and stop bleeding, we'll be fine."
Tses walked slowly, glancing out of the corner of her eye in time to see him trip, and the object fall out of his pocket. Surprisingly, as malicious as she could be sometimes, she wasn't judgmental in most levels. She lived a 'live and let live' type of lifestyle. But she did make one comment. "I'd be careful about dropping stuff right now. You wouldn't want to get blood on it." She held up a hand seriously so he would know she wasn't being mean, and the blood drizzled down the wraps on her wrists, her fishnet, and into the sleeve of her shirt.
She walked a few more steps, and her head was starting to spin a little. She stopped again, and leaned against the wall, feeling her heart beat more frantically in her throat. If it were nighttime, this wouldn't be as much of a problem. The moon gave her more energy to feed off of, but the sun seemed to drain her. She thought she would be able to keep it together, but she was bleeding a bit more than she felt comfortable with, and her knees were going weak...

Ty gave a nod, his face turning almost as red as his hair, but at least she didn't pick on him. After all, there was a reason he carried that stuffed tiger everywhere he went. But his eyes grew as big as saucers when he saw all the blood she was losing.
Then she leaned up against the wall. Without thinking, he walked over to her and put his arm around her, his gloved hand resting on her shoulder. "I know where there's an empty building. You can rest there, and I can pick up a few things you might need," he said, motioning for her to come with him, but he wasn't forcing it.
Ty didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable, but at the same time he wanted to make sure she'd be alright.
Tses's body tensed at his touch, but she wasn't really feeling strong enough to fight. She felt her head spinning in every direction, and her stomach was unsettled by the over-excitement. "I really don't feel it's necessary to stress over this... I just feel a little dizzy... used too much energy fighting like I did..." She tried to make excuses, but her voice didn't feel very strong when she spoke. It was irritating. And his comfort was hard to swallow.
"I just need to stitch this up and I'll be fine. If you got a needle, a match and some thread I can do it myself..." As long as he didn't suggest a doctor, they could be civil for a bit longer.
"Dizzy is stress-worthy," Ty said calmly as he could. "You just got shot, after all. And you're not dying on me. Not on my watch." He kept his arm around her, leading her down the alley, around the corner, and into an abandoned building. It wasn't furnished, but it would have to do.
Once situated inside, he murmured "Be right back," before sprinting out the door. Moments later, he returned with bags in his hand. Sitting in front of her, he pulled out some needles, thread, a box of matches, cottonballs, and peroxide. "This enough?" he asked, looking hopeful. "Anything you need, I can get it." Maybe his protective mode, his flirty mode, and his sick puppy mode were all overlapping. But all he could think about was taking care of her; she had to be all right.
Especially because it was pretty much his fault in the first place.
While he was gone, Tses took the opportunity to close her eyes and try to get everything to stop spinning. Blood loss was always one of the worst forms of injuries, because it seemed to suck your resilience right out of you. When he returned with the bags she felt herself nod. "Yeah, that'll be fine." She hated the idea of giving herself stitches, but it wasn't the first time she'd resorted to something rather primitive in preference of going to the doctors. Taking the peroxide and the cotton balls, she quickly cleaned the wound the best she could, setting her bloddied shirt on the concrete. Then taking the needle and picking out out a white thread, she got the metal white hot to disinfect it, and threaded the needle, careful not to burn herself on the still hot tip.
This is going to suuuuuuck. Tses thought to herself momentarily, face twisting into a grimace, and then she stabbed into the edge of the wound with the needle and murmured and a handful of profanities.
"Sorry, not the most ladylike display." She said as she tied off the edge of the thread, and continued with the second stitch. Luckily, the wound itself wasn't too long, but by the time she tied it off her eyes were watering and her mouth was sore from clenching her teeth so tight.
"You have any bandaids or something in those bags?" She asked, picking at the dried blood on her hands. All else fails she'd sacrificed the bands around her hands, but she would avoid that if possible. She saw the worried look trapped on his face and gave a scolding glare. "And don't get that sad faced look on me. I would have gotten myself in trouble with or without your help. It's life. If I didn't have bad luck, I'd have no luck at all."

Ty looked away as she stitched herself; not being a gentleman so much as hating the sight of someone else bleeding. His own, he was fine with, but anyone else's made him a little queasy. Especially in times like this.
"It's fine. I'd be doing the same in your position," he answered, looking back at her when she'd finished. Then he emptied the rest of the bag, revealing some bandages, band-aids, and a couple bottles of water. Handing her the bandages, he sighed at her other comments.
"It's not my fault I have a heart," he replied gently. "I get into trouble too, trust me. I just don't like seeing others hurt. I know bad luck, it's all I've had lately too. But now, everything's fine, and we can just relax a bit, right?"
Tses finished her first aid by plastering the bandage against her skin, slid her shirt back over the some stitches. There was a hole in her undershirt still, and the blood had soaked it and was hardening now. Oh well, it'd have to do until she made it to her apartment tonight. If she was staying there tonight... It was hard to tell day by day. She hadn't been working much this week, and her lease was going to run out soon. She pushed it aside for the moment. She glanced at her shirt and knew it wasn't worth saving. She'd have to sew herself a new one sometime soon. She felt a bit exposed without it, even though the only skin that was showing was her neck, face and fingers... It wasn't even a modesty thing.
"Yeah. I don't think they'll hunt us this far. It was just a prank, and I think the cop is being made fun of for dropping his gun at this point." She smirked at the thought, chuckling. "Mutants:1, Cops:0. Speaking of which... you've had the opportunity to see my powers, but I have no idea what you're are. Should I be afraid?" Her face turned serious, but there was the faint hint of a smile and laughter in her eyes.

"Heh," Ty said with a chuckle, sitting on the floor as she relayed the 'score.' "Feels good to be ahead for once, I admit," he said quietly. "Yeah, he's probably not going to live that one down for awhile."
When she mentioned powers, he gave a smile. "I don't really have control over mine. It's why I wear these." He held up his gloved hands. "Not that my powers would have helped us back there, anyway. See...when I touch things, I have a tendency of having...visions. Like, I see its entire past in a matter of moments. Then I get headaches."
Suddenly he stood up, going back to the empty grocery bags, and digging through them. "There it is." Pulling out a box of Bayer aspirin, he put it in his coat pocket and sat back down.
"But yeah, that's what I can do. You can only imagine what something like that can do someone who's into urban exploration and picking pockets."
Tses listened to the explanation of his powers and almost envied them. "I can only imagine what that would do for your line of work, but in mine that would be really helpful." She held up her own gloved hands and smirked. "Different advantages. Protects my knuckles if I get in a fist fight. Busted them one too many times, so it's easier just making them part of my outfit. I'd worry about fingerprints and all that, but someone would have to catch me first to match me to them." She grinned.
Anyway, I think your powers are pretty cool. Mine don't do anything that useful. I destroy things." She scrubbed at a drop of blood on her boots scrubbed it clean distractedly.

"I'm learning to work with them. Or trying to, at least. Well, I managed to snag a nice pocket-watch a few days ago. After the pounding headache went away, I came to enough to remember hey it's real gold." He shrugged, smiling a little. Then frowned as he remembered what happened later that day.
"This is all I have by means of an outfit. The only thing that changes is the color of the shirt. All my jeans look the same, except these have holes in them now. But hey, that power of yours not only helped pull a funny prank, it saved our hides earlier. All I coulda done is maybe find the bullet and possibly tell you what kind of gun it came from." He shrugged. "Sometimes a little offense is good in a pinch."
"It's also good at getting you into a pinch as well." Tses sighed, rolling her eyes. Her blood stained shirt was evidence enough of that. "Offense takes things to a more serious level. People usually leave you alone unless you show you're a treat. I try not to do that. Doesn't always work though." She felt odd admitting stuff to someone, but at the same time, it was nice. She'd been bottling up her frustrations for what felt like forever. Who was she going to complain to? The people at work? Computer geeks and hackers. Yeah, like they would listen. Oh wait, maybe she could talk to the people she turned in to the mutant registry. She was sure THEY would LOVE to talk about her emotional conflicts. She needed to keep her distance. She wasn't the best person to make friends.
"Anyway, I better get out of your hair." Tses murmered, forcing herself to stand. She still felt a bit weak, but it was hard for her to sit still this long. Besides, if he knew what type of person she was he wouldn't be so eager to help. Sure, this time she fought for the mutants. But there were plenty times in the past she may as well have been holding the gun shooting at them. She was self-interested, and it just wasn't something she saw herself changing.

"Well, mine's gotten me into a few as well, but it damn sure never got me out of one," he said bluntly. "It just makes me see if I can outrun whatever it is that's after me." He lay back, relaxing. This was nice, actually. He never really had anyone to talk to. Not like this, anyway. And the last mutants he talked to, he honestly didn't have much to say to right now. Or for awhile, really.
Sitting up, he blinked as she said she had to go. "Don't go!" He said, then caught himself sounding too needy. "I mean...I was kind of enjoying the moment. And...have you gotten enough energy back up?" A light blush tinted his cheeks. It was a bit much, he knew. He just really didn't want her to leave because then he'd be alone again. But he was sure he just drove her even farther away.
Tses blinked in surprise when he asked her not to go, and her expression was caught somewhere between a frown and a smile. Part of her felt flattered he wanted to talk with her more, and part of her felt irritated someone was invading her space. It was like she was two people for a moment: one, a girl who spent most of her life alone, on the run, and without any friends and was starving for companionship. The other side was someone terrified of any form of interaction and what that would bring.
"I'll be fine." Tses lied quickly, but her poker face could use some work. It didn't help when her face was still flushed and pale. "And I just worry that enjoying the moment is the last thing you want to do. You hardly know me. What if I turn out to be some kind of evil villain whose going to steal your soul or something?" She said it in a sarcastic mocking tone, but there was an edge to it that hinted at her fears about herself. She felt like a monster sometimes, much like a villain. The only difference between her and some of the mutants she'd met that made humans afraid was she didn't act mean out of spite: she acted out of survival.

"Maybe I like the company; I don't care that I just met you," he said. "It was just fun and relaxing, and maybe I need more of that. Maybe I don't know who you are deep down, or what you're capable of, but as it stands I'm not even sure I know myself. Maybe I'm more than just some petty pick-pocket, trying to make a name for himself and find his place in the world." He shrugged, turning away.
"Then again, maybe I'm not. All I know is that there's good and evil and everyone. Maybe I haven't seen the worst...but I like what I've seen so far." Sighing, and trying not to get all emotional and cry, he kept his voice steady as he said one last thing. "If you wanna go, I'm not going to stop you. Maybe I'm a sick-puppy type, but I know boundaries." He looked back at her, seeing what she'd do.
