The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Ted smiled at the girl as she came over. "I'm Teddy!" He frowned as Tristan ran away, but shrugged. "Don't worry about him, he doesn't like girls. You want to go on the jungle gym?" Without waiting for an answer, Teddy ran off after Tristan. "Wait up!" He started climbing up it, "I'm gonna reach the top first!"

Takumi frowned as another child ran up. "We're not playing a game, stupid! Go mess around in the sandbox." He then completly ignored Michael and turned his attention back to the void-girl. Void. That sounded like a cool name. He ignored the usual plethora of emotions that followed small children around, and instead focussed on Void. It wasn't so much that she had black, like a bad person, but more... there wasn't anything. No colour at all. There seemed to be some darkness following her, but it was distant, and most people had something like that. Though hers was unusual... it was like, it wasn't hers...
When he told her that the sword was his she let out a little "wow", she didn't know why but when he put it away she felt a little disappointed. She felt drawn to the sharp lethal object, but she shrugged it off. Another child ran up, clearly thinking they were playing a game, she felt a little sorry for him when Takumi told him to go away so sharply, but then he had been interrupting. Takumi, it was an odd name, then turned his attention to her, Mia was completely mystified by him, he seemed to be looking straight at her.. not physically but at Her... but it was like he couldn't see.... hmmm. The playground was now quite busy, and the peace that had drawn her to it had gone. "Why don't we go other there. Next to the big chestnut tree, it looks quieter over there."
Tristan reached the jungle gym but wouldn't climb up he was afraid of highets. Instead he climbed inside and hopped that the girl didn't come over. When he turned around he saw Ted coming over. "Ew no i get sick when i go high."

Takumi shrugged. "Ok." He made his way over to the chestnut tree. He liked trees. It was reassuring to be able to sense their life all around him. It made him feel safe. "You like swords?" He was still compltely mystified by her. What was it that made her so... he wasn't even sure what it was. But something definately made her something. Of that he was sure.
They wandered over to the large chestnut tree that spread its branches across a corner of the playground. Mia liked the way the light came down through the leaves, sitting under the tree was like being in house, she loved the way light played with everything. Swords.., she didn't think she had ever seen one but still felt drawn to it. she hoped the boy would demonstrate some more, she liked the way the blade become just an extension of his arm, like he could feel the blade. "I do now" she replied truthfully.

Takumi grinned. "You want to watch me practise with it? My grandfather says that i have o practise everyday. But it's not like it's difficult, I enjoy. Grandfather says that's a good thing." He could see some colour coming to her void as she looked at his dagger. He felt pride at her admiration, and doubted that she didn't want to see it used.
The excitement of seeing him practice flooded from her, and as he told he practiced everyday she felt even more impressed. She wished she had a grandfather who cared for her, she wished she had any family who cared another to spend any time with her. "of course" she answered, and heard the excitement in her voice, she was sounding a bit childish, but the thought of seeing him practise again filled her with anticipation.

Hmm. At the prospect of seeing him practise, her void began to fill. He saw it fill with anticipation, and joy. Wow. That he didn't see coming. "Ok then." He stood up, pulled out his knife, and started doing simple exercises. He was a natural with a blade, and so he began to move on to more complicated moves. He soon lost all sense of self; it was just the blade, flowing through the air with ease. He spun, ducked, stabbed and swiped. He was one with the blade.

Sapphire noticed the girl behind her. She arched a brow at this, pondering it for a few moments. When she came to a decision she gave Kitara a slight nod.
"Im sure it wont kill me, what do you want to play?" Sapphire asked
Ruby looked at the girl curiously, twitching her ear's slightly. She held out the car to her with a small smile on her face.

Michael scowled at the rude boy as he wondered off with his silly sword and blindfold. He hoped he walked into the tree. Turning he went over to the swings which two boys had just fled from and a girl was standing next to.
“Hi,” he said with a smile, not put off by how his previous greeting had been answered, “I’m Michael.” Sitting on a swing he began to swing back and forth slowly at first, but steadily gaining height.
"Im sure it wont kill me, what do you want to play?" Sapphire asked
Kitra tilted her head slightly and laughed, "I don't know. What would you like to play?" She smiled, she thought that this girl was really pretty and wondered what her family was like. "I like archery, do you liekt o do anything?"
She watched the boy practise, noticing how the movements became more and more complex; the blade danced in his hand responding to his slightest whim. She wished she could do that. She didn't want to say anything in case it broke his concentration. So she simply watched and tried to reastin her own yearning.

Teddy shrugged. "It's not high. Look!" Teddy then started making his way up. He was a little clumsy, like most other small children, but he managed it. "Wow Tristan, you look like an ant! Hey, I can see the whole playground from here!" Teddy grinned as he surveyed the playground, and spotted his friend Michael talking to someone. "Hey Michael! Look! I'm higher than you!" He stuck his tongue out cheekily as he continued to watch the goings on of the playground.

Takumi slowed down his movement, eventually stopping. On a hunch, he held out the knife, handle first. "You want a go? I could teach you some, if you'd like." He could sense how she marvelled at his movements, and guessed that she might want to have a try herself. His grandfather had said to never give the knife to anyone, but just once couldn't hurt, could it?
