AppearanceHair color and style: Naturally blonde, Lori wears her hair straight and stringy either in a pony tail or a bun. When left down, her hair lays just below her shoulders.

Build: Toned to muscled. Lori is petite, but a sport-a-holic and her body is squarish and dense.

Other features: Lori has coils of wire under her skin and muscle, but above the bones and tendons. This coiled wire extends from her fingertips down to her elbows, and it hampers her dexterity especially in cold environments.
Everyday clothing style: Button down shirts or a solid colored tee and pressed slacks or skinny jeans. (Yes, she irons her jeans.) Typical footwear will range from some kind of steel toed, iron-reinforced work boot to an equivalent in a three inch heel. Lori is never caught barefoot.

Sleepwear: Something silky if anything at all and socks or stockings. Always something on her feet.
Miscellaneous clothing: Skirt suits or tailored slacks for work.
CharacterPersonality: Lori is a natural liar and often passes lies as truth. She's very distrusting and plays her cards very close to her chest doing everything on her own if possible. Despite her often childish behavior and appearance, Lori possesses a fierce intelligence. At times she is very detached, thinking of people as pawns while other times she is driven by passion, intuition and instinct. Lori loves a good thrill. She often worries about how she is perceived by others.
Hobbies/ Interests: Lori enjoys exercising (soccer, volleyball, running, weight lifting), reading, science, and money.
Job or part time job and description: CEO of Faust Pharmaceuticals Marketing manager for the Mansion.
Fears/ phobias/ concerns: If Lori has one fear it's thunder. Thunder means lightning. Lightning always seeks her out. It has been attracted to her since she was powerless and shows no sign of stopping now that she has an electrical mutation. Thunder also doesn't usually happen on a bright sunny day and sudden rainstorms can mean that Lori is trapped somewhere for fear of getting wet. Another valid concern: having all of her charge drained.
Special talents: Lori is an excellent liar.
MoralityGood/ bad/ neutral/ other: Neutral with Bad Habits. Lori always tries to do what is necessary to get things done. Whether that is good or not doesn't especially matter.
MutationsMutation description:Electromagnetic Control:Lori's ability is to control the flow of electrons. What most people don't realize that that electricity and magnetic fields are like two faces of the same coin— one cannot exist without the other.
Just as grass does not control the cow, electricity does not control a device. She can overload or drain a device, but she cannot control an electric device with her power.
Lori's powers are weakened at high temperatures. The hotter it is, the harder Lori must work to use her power. Lori is often more lethargic on extremely hot days.

In the simplest terms: Lori is a battery. She draws from a finite well of electricity that is stored within her body or she can direct electricity that already exists outside of her body. Lori's energy level is directly related to the amount of electric energy she currently has charged. When she has power in excess, she is confident, mischievous and perhaps even a little twitchy.
Strengths:Lori can safely absorb any amount of electricity with minimal damage to her skin. Lori can detect, redirect, absorb, or pass electricity through her body. Any charge that Lori generates or absorbs is stored within her body.
Weaknesses and Limitations:Lori's amount of stored energy is finite. When her energy level is low she will feel ill and/or sleepy. She will regenerate a certain amount of energy while sleeping, but if her energy drops below a certain threshold, she will fall unconscious in order to sustain basic life functions. In order to wake up, she will have to remain unconscious until she meets a minimum threshold or recharge with the aid of an outside source.
Lori cannot change the properties of electricity which means that her control is touch-based. She cannot throw lightning.
Lori's body houses a large amount of electricity. If she is grounded (say, she gets wet or walks around with bare feet on a metal surface) her power leaks away. She constantly has to take special precautions so that she does not discharge her power and weaken herself.
Lori's emotions are directly tied to her charge levels.
Magnetic control:By manipulating the electrons in an object, Lori is able to create magnetic fields. By polarizing materials she can direct those materials toward or away from another polarized material via magnetic field.

If conditions are right, Lori is able to make herself levitate off of the ground.
Strengths: Up is a direction most people are not prepared to deal with in a fight.
Weaknesses: Levitation is a balancing act of two slightly rounded surfaces: the earth's natural magnetic field and Lori's personal magnetic field. She must perfectly oppose and balance these two forces in order to maintain any height. Lean too far one way and she might get dumped back to earth.
Falling down sucks.
She does not have the control or focus to move around in any semblance of flight.[/ul]
Strengths: Lori is able to sense, attract, or repel objects by manipulating her own personal magnetic field and/or another object's magnetic field. She can also shut down magnetic fields that already exist.
Weaknesses and Limitations: Lori cannot create a magnetic field out of thin air, she must generate a field from ferromagnetic material. Magnetic fields will only last for as long as she sustains them in materials that do not easily or naturally hold a magnetic charge (non-ferrous).
It's nearly impossible to lift and/or move multiple things as magnetic fields react in proximity to each other.
The well of power that Lori naturally houses within her body emanates a powerful magnetic field which has the potential to damage any electromagnetic information or cause arcing in small circuitry. This means that computers, credit cards, cell phones, USB drives, VHS tapes, etc. often do not survive in proximity to Lori.
Lori's intentional magnetic manipulations are limited to visual range, though not limited by direct visual contact.
Physical AbilitiesGeneral Physical Capabilities: Lori has excellent stamina and is able to run without much issue. She is strong enough to lift and squat her own body weight. She isn't concerned with looking pretty or willowy. She has packed on enough muscle to be useful.
Fighting Style: Scrapper. Though Lori has not been formally trained in any fighting style, she has had her share of squabbles. She has a good head on her shoulders and a good inkling of where it'll hurt when hit. Hand to hand she is feisty.
Fighting Style Pros/Cons: Brutal, but non-professional. If Lori goes hand to hand against someone who really knows what they are doing, she's going down.
History Of Your CharacterLori comes from a typical American home. She was born into a family of four with two loving parents who became bitter and divorced somewhere around her sophomore year in high school. Lori has an older brother who, as soon as he was able, left town. Neither Lori nor her parents have seen or heard from him since. Lori's mother went on to remarry and start a whole new family, and Lori's father... well, he never did recover.
James E. Faust works construction by day and by night he is a raucous drunk. He used to live in a mobile home in the less than reputable outskirts of New York until the place was raided by the police. He has since relocated into hiding.
During the course of college, Lori lost contact with her mother, not wanting to intrude on her now presumably happy new life.
Lori graduated college with massive debt and an essentially useless liberal studies degree consisting of three minors: Physics, English, and Art History. Her dad spent without regard to his own credit limit and before he went under the radar constantly depended on Lori to supply him with enough cash to make it to the next paycheck. If Lori looks back on any time in her life with fondness it is the time she spent with Rupert Kelly. The birth of her mutation heralded the end of her longest relationship to date.
Unable to find a job that specifically fit her degree, Lori worked multiple odd jobs, barely scraping by a living... until she decided to give up being normal.
Once she embraced her mutant side, Lori quickly made friends and enemies around New York. She used her street smarts to scrape out what she wanted from whoever would give it to her.
Sometimes she even got
more than she bargained for.
After Lori was injected with Haywire and brought down KP, she decided to rebuild the facility under the name Faust Pharmaceuticals and since no one seemed to have any semblance of a plan for the Order, Lori took charge for several years.
Under Lori's tutelage Faust Pharmaceuticals focused on finding a cure for mutant-kind and producing several different mutation-inducing drugs, including the less-than-legal human targeted M and a catalyst to help activate inactive x-genes. She kidnapped and experimented on mutants and humans alike. She even attempted to create the perfect villain, Sebastian, in order to unite the mutants of New York.
Faust Pharmaceuticals collapsed under the hostile takeover perpetuated by a certain young technopath and his dragon dad's chaos faction. Jobless, Lori turned to the enemy of her enemy, the Mansion.

Sample RP:She was shaking. Her hands just wouldn’t hold still no matter how much force of will she used. When that much electricity courses through one’s body, it does strange things. She didn’t expect it to do this. In fact, she wasn’t even entirely sure what this was.
Lori had never been struck by lightning before, but she was pretty sure that other lightning strike survivors didn’t usually come out magnetically… aware. She was suddenly very aware of metallic objects, particularly the umbrella held in her shaky hand. All that remained was the metal skeleton. She could feel that it was not a metal that could hold its charge for long and this disappointed her. She frowned and the movement felt very slow and deliberate. It was then that she became aware of the person speaking to her.
“...ear me? Lori. Lori!” Jessica, a classmate, was shaking her by the shoulders; it seemed to take her eyes a very long time to change their focus from the object in her hand to her friend’s face.
“Jesus!” Jess brought her hands back and to her mouth before brushing the damp hair out of her eyes. What she saw in the smaller girl’s eyes must not have been what she was expecting. “You okay, Lor? I mean… that was lightning! You got hit by lightning!”
Lori tried to speak, but it didn’t come out like words the first time. She cleared her throat and tried again.“...an’t believe what just happened.”
Time was catching up with her now. She could feel the fat, wet droplets and… her cell phone… and now that she thought about it she could feel the car keys in her bag, Jessica’s cell, a round metal tin container in her purse, both Jess’ earrings, pipes beneath the wet grass, the soccer goal some yards away…
Lori felt that if she called any of them to her that they would obey. A place in her chest knew it to be true and knew that this, this power, must remain secret. She glanced at Jess and then up at the sky. She didn’t even have to fake the worried tone in her voice, “This is so bizarre... Let’s get out of here before it happens again.”[/ul]
