The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

There was a twinkle in Petunia’s eye as the second jogger ran jogged by. Clearly in his zone of Jogging, and Petunia watched hi carefully with her index finger pointed straight at him. He passed the two of them, and again, she said “Bang” and another Bee flew from her finger tip, to the back of the jogger’s head and again, the man fell forward yelling something about being shot. Again, Pix giggled.
That giggle turned to out right laughter as pix watched the human fall on his face, scramble to his feet and fall again and again in his desperate trying to get out of the area. Now that was entertainment. She tried to sip her coffee, but her smile broke out again, and she had to let the hot coffee rest back in her lap till he laughter was under control.
Curiously she seemed to attract attention, as an obvious mutant, with two extra cool arms sat down next to her. “Hey.” Her dragonfly wings vibrated under her coat. Who invited him to sit next to her anyways? The entertainment wasn’t made for him. Still she sat there, because he was a mutant after all. One eye brow raised when he took out the pad and started writing down his question. “A mute?”
Her eye skimmed over his writing as she once again tried to take a sip of her triple mint mocha. “Why he wasn’t shot.” Petunia leaned back on the bench. The snow was cold but the coffee was warming her hands, and the recent actions was warming her sense of humor. “That idiot human was just stung by a bee, in winter.” There was another jogger coming down the path, and Pix made her hand in the shape of a gun, like little kids do when they are playing. “You want to see it again?”
Pix was seated cross legged on a bench. Her coat was pulled close around her with her collar up around her face. A thick scarf pulled around, under her chin, and her wings quivered under the back of her coat. She hated the winter. There was never as much activity in cold weather, and it made her tired and grumpy. A type of tired and grumpy that not even the caffeine in her triple mint mocha with all the sprinkles, sugar, and whipped cream could warm out of her system.
A jogger jogged by and pix raised her finger as if she was a kid playing cops and robbers. Her index finger extended like she was pretending it was a gun. “Bang…” She mumbled under her breath with almost no life in her voice. A bee wiggled it’s way out of her finger, and shot through the icy air, to sting the jogger right in the back of the neck. He slapped his hand down on the spot and panicked, tripping over his expensive jogging shoes, and landed on his face. Ok that had done more for Pix than the coffee. She let out a light giggle as the obvious human scrambled for cover yelling something about being shot.
Petunia was being helped. She had stepped in and she had been polite to the other girl that was a head of her in the shop because that was the nice thing to do. It’s impolite to just barge into a shop and demand attention. The 4’ 7” with high heals, girls demeanor instantly dropped from slightly cheerful, and a little embarrassed, to the complete B**** of your nightmares. Her lips pressed together and her eye narrowed on the new comer in the store.
Not even the little 2 something foot tall thing at the man’s side could puller her attention, Awa- OMG! Did that thing have seven awesome little finger on it’s hands?... Like I said. Not even the awesome seven fingered individual could pull Pix’s stare away from the rude man.
“Excuse me you pompous, gut sucking, dude!“ wow that sounded better in Pix’s head. Out in the open, once Petunia said it, it sounded completely lame. That might have been a compliment with Pix’ standards of friends. The bees that were Pix’s friends darted from all the different corners of the store, and swarmed into the under side of her collar.
“you’re not that bright are you?” She said stalking close enough to the man that she could stand on her tippy toes and try to get her face up close to his. “First off there are two very lovely ladies in this store being assisted before you even stepped a foot in here. I don’t care if your mother never practiced common curtacy or cared to show you it, but it is common sense something you apparently lack because if you had common sense and you needed a plant like yesterday, you would have been in this shop, Oh I don’t know. YESTERDAY? You see? YOU just don’t make Sense!” She jabbed her index finger in the man’s chest to to emphasize her last you. Yeah. That always worked to get a point across.
“Kai. You go a head and help the other lady over there. we’re going to wait in line.” She said as she pushed her tiny self in between the rude pompous, gut sucking dude, and the slip of paper. Her arms crossed and her face lightened into a smile. “Kay?”
As the young man went on about the spider plants and the pointy cacti, Petunia allowed herself to get lost in the rest of the room. With her poor venous fly trap, under her arm, now that she had brought it out from under her coat, she started loking through the rest of the plants. Her bees were busying themselves too. She checked on the plants that they just weren’t attracted to, then took some time, sticking her little button nose closer to the ones they seemed to be drawn to more. Even if her and her bee were having a fight, because she said they were having a fight, she could still trust their judgment on flower fragrances. They were bees after all. Pix would know. She could be a bee.
“Is there anything I can help you with, today?”
“Um well.” Petunia pulled away from an orchid that she had just been admiring the large white petals of. “I was wondering two things.” She held out the sad looking venous fly trap. There were several little plants but they were all at different stages of being crushed, and the largest one in the center, was the one pix had gotten stuck in, earlier that day. The center plant, that had closed around her was completely broken in half. “I’ve had this plant for a while and today it experienced a little bit of an accident.” She explained and her cheeks blushed. How embarrassing to think of yourself and an insect goddess, and then to nearly be killed by a house plant. “I’m hoping this one can pull through, but I’m also interested in purchasing a plant that has just as much of an alluring fragrance, and that might hold up better, if a really big little something decided to land on it.”… Again…
Petunia was an odd person. She didn’t always follow trends or what people thought she should like, or do. In fact most of the time when it came to what she should do, like not pushing 12 year old green haired girls off of the x-men’s mansion roof, she did exactly what she shouldn’t. After all. Petunia had been named Petunia gardener and she had to show that there was real flower power in her. Even if her tactics in fights were a little less flowery and a little more powery.
There was one thing that Petunia did follow, that people expected, and it was that she did like flowers. .. .. .. Most of the time. Acutally she liked a lot of different plants. Her favorite being the venous fly trap. Because she loved the smell. She buzzed right t it, and was always sucked in by the alluring aroma. In fact that is why she was headed to the flower shop today. Carefully under her coat, she was carrying a venous fly trap that had grown a few inches in the hears she’d had it, but earlier that day, she had been buzzing around her happy little buggy self, and well. She was a bug, so what did you expect a distractible bug to do when it thought it found something tasty? She’d gotten trapped, and transformed to her human self, thus smooshing her favorite plant.
“I told you that was a bad idea.” She mumbled into her gloved hand, where a bee sat in her palm. Warm between her fingers and obviously not listening to her. Not that the bugs ever really listened to her, but today this bee and her were having a fight. It wasn’t the Bees choice to be silent and be in the fight. It was Pix’s because Pix was the boss of all bugs and she said this bee and herself were in a fight. “Don’t you give me that look.” The bee just sat there.”
With a delightful little jingle, Petunia opened the door to the flower shop, and was immediately embraced by all the different smells. She closed her eyes and inhaled as the door song shut and the bee buzzed into life, to check out all the flowers. There was a dancing boy there and a girl asking about plants that were hard to kill.
“Have you thought about Spider plants?” Of course the bug goddess would thing of that plant first. Petunia set her venous fly trap down on a counter, as a couple more bees buzzing into life and out into the air, from under the collar of her coat.
(Luna, if you need any of this edited, PM me and I will edit.)
The flying flame thrower was there again, and had the child’s upper body, with one arm. Mean while Pix had grabbed her feet. And so the great war of tug Luna began. The crafty flame thrower managed to get off of shot of fire, big surprise, at Pix, and the bug manipulator was forced to shift how she was holding the kid. Flames raced across her right upper arm, and she let out a frustrated growl of pain, between gritted teeth as she shifted, so that her hold on the child’s legs used the child as a shield. Would the flame thrower shoot flames at the kid she was trying to save to get to her?
The notion of a flea bath suddenly found it’s way into pix’s mind and the rash that had formed everywhere, after her last encounter with the potent chemicals. Making her want to let go of the kid and itch, but if she did that, that would be giving in to the flying flame thrower. So instead, little scorpion claws poked through pix’s skin and itched for her. Oh so much more soothing. She had no idea where that fear had come from seeing as there was no bath or pool of chemicals in sight. Shaking the thought of chemical induced rashes everywhere from her mind, Pix had an idea.
A wicked smile formed back, across her face. Moths, that hadn’t gotten BBQed by the flames yet, swormed straight for the flame mutant’s face hoping to keep her from being able to see Pix’s foot as Pix’s body twisted around her hold of the little girl, and she tried to kick the flame mutant in the face. Stingers formed on the bottom of her heal and ball of her foot and she tried to infect Raven Fire with the venom of the scorpions she once knew.
Pix was learning the paturn of this little girl’s attacks fast. The teddy bear started to form, and Pix set her own skin, leterally crawling. Again bugs spread out and wiggled free from the stretched pours of her skin, and she dissolved into another cloud of various insects. A few wasps moved in to try to sting the little girl, mean while the white moths, dispersed around the two, in an attempt to make it harder for those outside, to see them. Though the fire, if it did reach the bugs, made short work of their papery wings.
Petunia used her wings, to swing around the little girl, trying to duck down below the ledge of the roof, where they were standing, and grab the girl’s ankles at the same time. The explosion singed the edges of Pix’s large wings as it also gave her, and possibly the little girl, and extra push off of the roof. Pix holding onto her ankle, as her wings buzzed into motion.
"Damn it... That was my last one..."
“That’s a very bad word for someone your age to know.” Pix scolded.
"Someone HELP PLEASE!"
“Oh yeah. Help!” Pix taunted the little girl as she let out a high pitched giggle. We're about to play ring around hte rosy Pix thought to herself as she tried tugging the girl off of the roof.
Now where was the flame lady? Things were happening in a flash, it was hard to keep track of others.
“How will you know it’s me your blowing up?” Petunia grinned. Her scorpion poised it’s self on her hand, and held still as a statue. Pix peaked around the teddy bear, and the skin on her cheek looked like it wiggled just before bugs of all sorts, flowed from her skin. Looking like the dissolved into bees, moths, and flies. Roaches dropped to where Pix’s feet had been scurrying away and spread.
Pix had shifted to a dragon fly, and she darted to the little girl’s back, as flames shot forward from another mutant, and Pix narrowly avoided becoming pixy BBQ. Although BBQed doomly teddy bears of awesomeness might make some more fun. Now behind the little girl, Pix shifted back to her human form. Grabbed for the teddy bear girl’s shoulders and tried to shove her off of the roof.
A wide smile formed as she eyed the flying flame thrower. “Can you play catch?” Petunia chose to watch the flame thrower mutant. See if she would play catch, and if Pix could perform a nice sneak attack.
Pix Went air born with a nearly silent buzz of her wings as the action started. She covered her ears when the icy singer, hit that high note, and if horse girl hadn’t of gotten in the buggy girl’s way, the singer would have had something with many legs, and wings, stuffed in her mouth’s direction. Anything to stop that annoying racket. Same with the buzz that was echoing in her head that she could quite tell where it was coming from.
Then there were the explosions from… Teddy Bears? Little frowzy faced teddy bears of doomly Awesomness were raining down on them. Like Christmas with bang.
"Hey you jerks that are attacking my new home! I'm up here!"
“I spy with my little eye, a girl that is up past her bed time.” Petunia smile make her cheeks crease, as she spun to the right to avoid one of the falling doomly bears of awesomeness. Then like an arrow, Pix shot towards the roof where the girl was located.
As pix flew, a scorpion wiggled it’s way free from the skin on her palm, and she aimed to push the little girl back down, and use the scorpion to sting her. Harsh, even for pix, but fun.
The second that Pix had left the side of Syn, she took her bogs with her. So that they wouldn’t go crazy the second they were out of Pix’ control range. 40 feet up, Pix had abandoned her bugs, where they hovered and it had looked like the bug manipulator had disappeared. Her PJs had been left to fall on the ground, but Pix had just shifted her a tiny dragon fly, to a house fly, darting left and right, as she climbed.
High above the scene, Pix looked through multiple eyes, at the mansion ground. The people coming out, and she scanned the other parts of the building, that she could see. With that, Pix darted back down. Turning human, just as she gathered the rest of her bugs, and landed lightly right next to the marching Syn. Since she was now without her PJs she now had a sort of dancer’s outfit on. Artfully swirled with the different colors of moth wings that covered her skin, and keeping Pix as modest as she could be.
“There was slight movement in the shadows from what looked like the back of the school.” Pix nodded in the direction. “A possible sneak attack.” Pix reported. “I don’t know for sure. Hard to tell when you’re looking through so many eyes.”
Pix was surprised when she got the call. Her very first call to action. After rescuing hymn from the bad place, with 7 big red men, who might of might not of answered, once or twice to the name, Mr. Bubbles, Petunia had gone home to her little friends.
In fact that’s where Petunia was now. She was dressed in her hot pink Cow PJs and matching cow slippers that mooed when she walked. She’d been reclining, on her couch, with her head dangling off the front, and her legs resting draped over the back rest. Her hair hanging straight down, as she watched Ren and Stimpy, on an upside down TV screen.
Happy happy joy joy,
Her cell rang, and she did an odd sort of sit up, on the couch, Reaching over for the phone, and flipped it open.
"Our beloved great golden doors have been stolen and they are now sitting at the X-Men's mansion. My orders are to retrieve the doors and leave the X-fools something to remember!"
Happy happy joy joy,
Well there was just no time to loose then was there? Pix flopped onto her side and rolled off of the couch. Her cow slippers announced that her feet touched the carpet with a friendly little ‘mooooooo.’ And all at once Pix’s friends were in a flurry. Bugs of all shapes and sizes swarmed from the corners of the room, where pix had used aunt pharmones and various other tricks to keep them off of the mane part of the floor, when she wasn’t playing with the bugs. (AKA, Keeping them so they weren’t being stepped on because bug stains were hard to clean out of the carpet.)
Those that could fly, piked up those that couldn’t, while their master opened the window. The cold air whipped in, and instantly pix coughed. Ok so she needed her PJs warmer. Instantly the moths game to Pixes aid. Filling in under her Cox PJs so that their wings trapped the warmth, though they made her awesome hot pink, cartoon cow PJs look like lumpy marshmallows stuck to her. Her large dragon fly wings snapped into motion and with a clattering buzz. Petunia darted out the window, Her little bug army in tow.
Happy happy joy joy joy,
A few moments later, Pix landed, with a ‘Moooooooo….’ Of her slippers next to Syn. “Ummm Hi!” Something about her, made the bugmancer very uneasy. Her insects swarmed with more sharp lines than before. Some even bit into each other, cannibalizing those that Pix had better control over. “I ahh… I ahhh….” A ant that had been being flown about by a horse fly landed on Pix’s nose and her eyes crossed to look at it. Horse fly wings stuck in between the ant’s pincers and it tilted it’s head at it’s master as if offering the wings as a gift.
Now that was, awesome, cool! Disterbing that her bugs weren’t paying complete attention to what Pix wanted them to do, but still cool. A smile curved across her face as her head tilted. Eyes still crossed. At least they were only attacking each other so far… And pix could make more. “I’ll go check things out.” Pix volinteared as her wings clapped into a buzz and then into silence. She darted off rising high into the air, with the swarm, Then seemed to disappear, as her slippers and cow PJs dropped to the ground.
The other girl didn’t seem to be understanding her, but she still took the mask. There was something that Petunia liked about the girl. Not her ability but the child side. So innocent and in a place like that. And then so willing to retaliate against that guard, the moment Petunia gave her an opening. What ever the guards had done, the had paid. They were all paying. Then there seemed to be more coming from down the street, now that the bus was stopped and the fun crazy ride was over.
"Last stop and welcome home to all that want to stay."
Petunia nodded and turned to the back of the bus. Motioning for her brother to follow her, he shook his head but the wasps that had been standing guard flew forward and perched on his shoulder. He jumped straight up, and obediently followed Petunia off of the bus.
Petunia, her brother, Joshua, and the rest of the passengers moved off of the bus, leaving the other girl to be picked up again. Ha! Like Petunia could even life a 5 year old. Let the big red guy do all the carrying. On the side walk, Petunia stood with the two mutants at the front of the door. Mingling with the rest from the asylum.
“cool.” Petunia said as she watched the hand and the not so happy face. Her wasps obediently sat in his hand, and the ones that were left on the seat, to enjoy the bus ride, obediently sat on the seat.
The girl she had been playing with, was at the front of the bus, and Petunia could see her reacting to all the things around her again. Funny, She hadn’t seemed so down when that mask was on her. Taking a moment, to lean over to her brother, and whisper that he had to behave of be wasp dinner for those bogs left on the back seat, behind them, petunia puhed herself out of her seat. Letting her bugs baby sit the rest of the way there.
Petunia stood in the isle, and made her way to the front of the bus, where she patted Hymn on the back. The other hand offering her the mask, again, because that always seemed to make everything better. “If it wasn’t us taking care of them, it would be the other way around.”
" I could deliver those precisely where they will need to go if you would allow me."
Petunia grinned so that her cheeks creased. “sure. Just scoop them up like they are snow balls.” She instructed, Demonstrating with a pile of large wasps, the size of there thumb, that were multiplying from the skin at the palm of her hand, as more continued to escape from under her collar. “There was a police car that pulled up next to them and she handed the pile in her hands, to Joshua. “Here hold these bro.” Naturally he squealed and threw the ball of wasps out the window where they charged the police cruiser closest to their side. Most of them splattered against the wind shield. A few got inside the car, and it swerved back and forth, Hopping on and off the curb. “Or that works too.” She patted her brother’s head and he ducked like a beaten animal.
Petunia menuvered so that she was standing on her knees, on the seat, facing behind her. “there is a bit of a distance factor with these guys.” She warned. The smile still present on her face. “But they have to be really far out of reach, for me not to control them.” Technically 20 feet was a really far ways away, so she wasn’t lying, in her head. Hehehe.
