Butterfly smirked as she saw Paige's face go from a twisted frown of frustration to a smile as she gazed at Butterfly in the dress. She even blushed a little as Paige said that the dress was beautiful--when suddenly Paige said that the dress looked good too. This startled Butterfly for a moment and she turned a deep rose red. She was flattered and had never even thought for a moment that Paige was talking about her. The shifter knew that obviously Paige thought her pretty and liked her and all considering that they were dating, but to hear her call her beautiful was absolutely wonderful.
She playfully grinned at Paige and gave her a sweet kiss on the cheek and whispered, "I love you Paige." into her ear. She stood there for another moment or so and then said, ""Let me get changed back into my clothes and we can go checkout and explore a few more stores. See if anything else will tickle our fancies." She smiled and then walked back into the dressing room and changed back into her clothes.

Butterfly nodded as Kiva told her that either way would work for her, but since Butterfly knew that as an artist, it was much easier to draw a person in an actual setting than it is to imagine it in your head and then try to draw it from memory, she climbed up the tree and laid down on her tummy with her legs stretched out and crossed, with one hand under her head and her elbow hanging down and the other stretched out and down as if she were trying to reach out to touch Paige's hand, like Kiva has it in the drawing. She looked down at Kiva and then asked, "How's this Kiva? Is this sorta how you envisioned it?"

Chloe had been just lounging about when her girlfriend came and grabbed her by the arm and was talking about being late to something. Chloe looked at her confused because she wasn't aware of any plans that they had made for tonight. "Paige, Honey, where are we going? Going to be late to what? What are you talking about? Should I change clothes? Do we need to take any money?" Chloe struggled with being confused, but as her girlfriend said you'll see, Butterfly finally just let her girlfriend drag her by the arm and followed her, thinking that maybe she was trying to surprise her with something.
As she followed Paige, she began to wonder if maybe Paige had made dinner reservations for them or something sweet for them to do as a couple. But as she and Paige finally got there, she saw people coupled in pairs and then heard Paige speak to someone about them being there for a self-defense class. Butterfly perked up and smiled at her girlfriend. "This is gonna be so much fun. Paige, when did you find out about this?" she said as she and Paige walked toward the group of people beginning to train.

"That was fun and she was interesting to talk to." She said as Tses closed the door behind her and she followed her back to her apartment. She could tell that Tses was thinking over Butterfly staying any longer and it made Butterfly kind of uneasy. She couldn't leave now with the weather being as bad as it was, but she didn't wanna hurt Tses anymore. Maybe she should just keep quiet and go straight to bed, that is if Tses would let her stay. She stood outside her door for a moment and then asked, "So can I stay the night? I'll leave first thing in the morning."

Butterfly looked over her shoulder as Paige spoke and felt kinda bad. She wanted Paige to have fun and wanted her to be able to find something. "Well, just look around a bit. I'm sure you'll find something Baby. I'll be out in just a sec and you can tell me what you think." Butterfly walked into the dressing room and tried on the dress. Standing in front of the mirror, she made several poses and modeled the dress to herself, trying to find the perfect angle and face to show Paige just how sexy she was.
When she was satisfied with herself, she poked her head out of the door and looked for Paige to call her over, but before she spoke she saw her girlfriend browsing through the racks of jackets and the faces she made as she found ones she didn't like. She covered her mouth as she giggled and saw Paige throw jacket after jacket over her shoulder. She was glad she finally found one she liked because Butterfly would have wet her pants had she continued throwing the jackets on the floor behind her. When she saw that Paige had tried on the jacket, Butterfly smiled and said, "Hey Sweetheart, will you come here and tell me what you think?"

Butterfly kind of got scared as she saw the look on Kiva's face when she told her Paige was her girlfriend. Maybe she shouldn't have told her that, but realized that the news just took her back for a moment and that it was okay. She smiled a bit when Kiva called her animated. This was true, especially when she got really excited about something.
Then Kiva slid the sketchbook over toward her and Butterfly imagined the picture filling out and drawing itself as she described her plan for adding her as another sprite. Butterfly face lit up as the movie played through her mind and when Kiva finished her depiction, Butterfly said, "Kiva, that's wonderful. It'll look great. And you can so use my butterfly wings if you want. I'll shift for you whenever you need it. So do you want me to like climb the tree and lay on a branch or just lay on the ground or what?"

Butterfly nodded and watched Talon as he walked back up to the Mansion. Butterfly was still sort of unsure about everything dealing with the ball, but she figured that Paige would explain it all on their way to the Mansion after lunch. So she and Paige finished taking all the food out and began to help themselves to the nice things that was packed. As they ate, Butterfly nuzzled Paige and kissed her cheek. She was enjoying herself and getting to spend time with her girlfriend.
After both of them finished their lunches, Butterfly grabbed the blanket that they had laid down to sit on and then walked over to her girlfriend and held her hand, squeezing it slightly and looking over at her, smiling to show her love for her. As they got ready to walk to the Mansion, Butterfly asked, "So Baby, tell me about banquets and help me master the art of being around high society. I have no idea how I'm supposed to act or the traditions. Did you go to a lot of them when you were in California?"

Butterfly smiled and knew that she'd find something that Paige would like. She saw Paige look at a jacket and then shy away. Butterfly walked over to a rack with different colored dressed on them and a clearance tag above the rack. "Paige, come over here and see if you like any of these." The dresses were very pretty and with the clearance going on the prices were between 12 and 15 dollars, so Butterfly thought this was a pretty good find. Butterfly looked over the dresses on the rack and found one that she liked. It was a deep purple that was a little shorter than knee length and it had a deep v neck with ruffles and black buttons going all the way down. "I've found one I like. Wanna see it on me?"

Butterfly relaxed a bit as she saw that Paige was really into going and that she knew what she was doing when it came to the subject of rich people and banquets. Butterfly nodded her head as Talon said that him paying for their shopping wouldn't be a problem and as he reminded them that it would only be as friends. She sat and thought for a moment and then looked over to Paige and asked, "Wanna go after we have lunch? That is if you don't have anything to do this afternoon, Talon? Where would you want us to meet you?

Butterfly smiled as Kiva said that she thought Butterfly could be of some help in her drawing of the sprites. She was happy that she had met someone that she could help. And to her Kiva was just another lovely lady to spend time with, a friendship in the making. Butterfly saw nothing at all wrong with Kiva's appearance. To be honest, she quite liked how she looked and felt that Kiva had nothing to be ashamed of. Beauty is found in many ways, shapes, and fashions and penetrates through to the soul. True beauty is woven throughout the body to the inner being of the person, not to the level of just skin deep that society likes to pack into the media we're exposed to.
Upon Kiva mentioning Paige's name, Butterfly's face lit up and she squealed. Kiva's drawing of her girlfriend was gorgeous. "I thought I recognized that beautiful face. Paige is my girlfriend. You drew her absolutely beautifully. I'd be honored to have you draw me along side her. Please...just show me how you'd like for me to pose or if you need me to shift. I'll help you in any way possible." Butterfly was on her knees in front of Kiva with pleading eyes.

Butterfly looked over at her girlfriend and sort of understood where she was coming from. She had never been rich, but she had gone from one level of poor to another and even then it was a struggle. She tried to make Paige feel better, but grabbing her around the shoulders and kissed her hard, in the middle of a crowd of people. Then she looked deep into her eyes and said,"One thing I've learned is that you can still find really great stuff, that looks great on you, without a high price tag. I'm sure we'll be able to look around and find stuff that you'll love, and I'll love on you." She smiled and winked. She took Paige by the hand and started looking over the clothes in JCPenny, since it was the first clothing store that was near them and Butterfly found that she appreciated some the styles that they had available. She hoped that Paige's spirits had been lifted and that she could always find a way to make her girlfriend happy.

Butterfly looked over at Tses when she mentioned going home and nodded her head as she yawned yet again and felt more drained than before. She stood up and hugged Meggy and said "I'll have to come back over sometime. I enjoyed coming over and talking with you and spending time with the kittens. They sure are friendly and playful. They definitely can brighten your day." She walked over to where Tses was standing waiting for her cue to leave the apartment to go back to Tses's. She hoped that she hadn't been too much of a burden or too clingy with Tses, being open with her emotions and all. She didn't wanna be another regret for someone, like she felt with her Mom. She just wanted to be loved,to be wanted around.

Butterfly looked over at Paige with a questionable look, but accepted Talon's invitation none the less. She didn't know what Paige was up to, but she trusted her. "What all will we need, Paige? I trust that you know the kind of etiquette that goes on at a ball. Talon, it wouldn't be any trouble to take us shopping?" Butterfly asked. She was kind of worried, considering she had never been to an event like this before, but if Paige wanted to go, then Butterfly would attend with her. Maybe it could be a memorable experience for them as a couple. She thought it would be nice to dance with her girlfriend. It would be a grand nicght of elegance and who better to be with than Paige.

Butterfly just sat and hugged Tses. She was scared and didn't know what to do and needed someone to lead her to her next move. She felt like she was falling apart and hearing Tses tell her that she loved her and that she would be Butterfly's big sister just made all of Butterfly's anxious feelings settle and made all her worries fly out the window. "Thanks Tses. You have no idea how much that makes me feel better. she said as she pulled away softly and rubbed her eyes to wipe away the tears. And as she did, she started to yawn as the feeling of tiredness began to hit her.

Butterfly was slightly surprised to hear Paige call Talon chicken butt, her mouth stood agape for a few seconds when she realized that she needed to close her mouth. Thankfully, Talon didn't seem to take it offensively and he carried on with his conversation. As Talon brought up the idea of them going to the party with him, butterfly began to think about it. She felt kinda awkward about it considering she didn't know Talon very well, granted they had only met once before and to be asked something of such grandeur as going to a ball with him, made Butterfly very reluctant to accepting his invitation.
Butterfly tossed the idea around in her head some more and finally decided that she unfortunately had to turn him down, but she wanted to be gentle in declining his offer. "Talon, I'm not sure if..."
