The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Regan lead the way up the stairs and through one of the long hallways towards the admitting office. She gave Mariusz and small nod and a smile as he thanked her. “It’s not a problem Mariusz, all mutants are welcome here at the mansion. They even let in the stray cats.” She chuckled a little as she poked fun at herself to lighten the mood.
Regan smiled over her shoulder at Mariusz, he sure was direct and straight to the point! “Yes, you are correct. I have all the benefits of an enhanced tiger when I am in this state.” She decided not to elaborate too much beyond that for the moment, no need to freak out a bird mutant by telling him the other half of her mutation was a primitive sabre tooth cat that acted purely on instincts and would most likely try to eat him. “I assume that you are similar to a bird of prey?” she questioned with a smile. Regan was smart, she read a lot of books of every variety, and she recognized the feather patterns on Mariusz from the various birds of prey she had read about, though he was grey instead of brown.

Regan blinked as before she could protest she had a strip of shirt tied around her ribs. The bleeding had stopped a while ago, because of her accelerated healing abilities, but Regan was polite and didn’t say anything about that, “Thanks, I appreciate the bandage.”
Raising a brow at the directness of Serena’s answer, Regan figured it was a sore topic and was not about to push it. “Well that was a jerk thing of them to do, sometimes I think humans are dumber than a sack of nails.” She shook her head and sighed at the thought.
Hearing the whisper clear as day with her enhanced hearing, Regan waved her hand nonchalantly, “Oh don’t worry about it, I’ll be fine.” She smirked and took the opportunity to lighten the mood by quoting the “Black Knight” in “Monty Python’s The Holy Grail”, “It’s nothing but a flesh wound!” Regan could tell that Serena came from one of the UK isles from her accent, so she figured she’d get the reference.

Regan frowned as the boy rejected her outstretched hand to help him up. She pulled her hands into her chest and fidgeted her clawed fingers together. Her green eyes visibly held the shame of what she had done to the boy. She frowned even more as he backed away from her and demanded an explanation. He deserved one, and she was going to try and give one to him.
“I’m so, so very sorry! I… I was trying to go for a run, away from people!” her Irish voice was panicked, stuttering and stammering as she tried to explain what had happened in as easy a way as possible for the moment. “My instincts got the best of me, oh my lord, I’m so sorry!”
Regan was so sick to her stomach, she had almost killed someone! Tears started to well up in her eyes and she flopped into the snow with her knees together and her feet sticking out. She placed her face in her clawed, furry hands and started to sob. Her long tail curled around her knees as she wept, muttering through her fingers “Oh god, I’m so sorry….”

Regan smiled and gave Serena a small nod, “Ah, well you are very welcome. My name is Regan, it’s a pleasure, but from the look of what you can do, I don’t think you really needed me all that much.” She started to chuckle but it made her wince slightly; she held her side where she had been stabbed in the ribs. “Bastard got me good!”
Holding her side, Regan gave Serena a smile, “I’m glad I had decided to take a walk out here tonight. I heard the commotion these jerks were making and decided to check things out. What was this all about anyways?” Regan raised a brow at Serena and pointed a clawed finger in the direction of the man closest to her on the ground.

Ducking out of the way of the feathered mutant’s wings as he came through the door made Regan have to tip top over the little puddles of melting snow that was accumulating on the floor. She had left her combat boots in her room because she didn’t expect to need them and she so did hate getting her feet wet, unless she was swimming of course.
Regan nodded as he introduced himself in a polite fashion and she gave him a little curtsy in return. “My name is Regan, no last name unfortunately though. It’s nice to meet you Mariusz.” She had hoped that she had pronounced his name right.
Tip toeing over a few more puddles Regan made her way to stand in front of him; he was another large mutant that towered over her small frame. Brushing her vibrant red strands out of her face Regan gave him another nod, “Sure I can lead you to the admitting desk, let me just grab my book from the couch.”
Regan padded over to the couch in her bare furry feet to pick up her book, her overly long tail swaying the opposite of her hips as she moved. She picked up her book and walked back over towards the stairs, turning just slightly to look over her shoulder at Mariusz, she waved her clawed hand at him in a “come here” motion, “Follow me.“She said with a small smile.

Regan tilted her head to one side and then to the other as the girl spoke to her. The sabre tooth didn’t quite understand human speech.
Still on all fours, Regan stepped cautiously forward towards Serena, sniffing at the air. It was still heavy with the scent of blood, but Regan could pick out Serena’s unique scent amongst it all. She let out a little growl and a few murmurs, nothing threating, but nothing that sounded like words.
Closing her eyes, Regan growled painfully as her sabre tooth fangs started to retract back into her skull. She shrunk down in size and muscle mass as her spine popped and cracked back into place allowing her to stand upright once again.
Regan shook her head to clear it and her earrings clinked together as she did. She opened her large emerald eyes and looked at Serena, “I’m sorry I can’t understand you when I’m like that, could you repeat that please?”

Miles was just as afraid of himself as she was of herself; it was kind of nice to be able to talk to someone who truly understood how much that fear weighed on her.
Regan sighed softly as she listened to Miles speak more about his mutation, and boy there was a lot more to him as well! They were so very similar in such different ways, it was rather remarkable. She took in what Miles had said, nodding to his comments about other powers that were actually helpful to others. She pondered his questions and when he mentioned that his dogs were undead thralls, she looked up at them with a small amount of sadness in her eyes.
Regan patted Tinaker on the head softly and called Astor over to her with a “kissing” noise so she could pet him as well. She placed her clawed hands under Tinaker’s chin and held his face up to her own so she could look him in the eyes as she spoke. “Miles I truly believe that every mutation has a useful purpose. Maybe we don’t know what ours is just yet, but there must be a reason that we have them. Yes it is a very heavy cross to bear, it’s uncomfortable, but they were given to us for a reason.”
Still studying Tinker’s eyes Regan smiled softly and rubbed her pink feline nose against his cold black one with a giggle, “You know Miles, I think that there is still a part of them left inside of them. I don’t think you give them the full credit that they deserve. Besides, even dogs that are alive are just extensions of their owners.” She turned her gaze to Miles and smiled with Tinaker’s head still in her hands, “A bad owner will raise a bad dog, just as a good owner will raise a good one. Your thralls are an extention of you Miles, if you are a good person they will be good as well.”
Letting go of Tinaker’s head, Regan sat back against the wall and flopped her arms over her knees casually. She let out a little sigh as she thought of how to explain it to him; she had never had to explain it before.
“Well it is like having another creature in my head. When I let it take over or when it is triggered by something, it’s like I get shoved into the background. For the most part I can monitor what it’s doing, like I’m watching a movie, and if I have enough control I can make it stop, but I have lost complete control before.” She sighed again and rested her head on the wall to look up at the ceiling. “When it takes over completely I don’t remember what happened right away, it comes in flash backs over time and I have to eventually piece it together and face what horrible things I might have done. The sabre tooth isn’t really evil, it’s just a primitive animal reacting on it’s natural instincts, to hunt and to survive. I don’t blame it for what it does, it’s doing what comes naturally to it, but it uses my body and the human part of me has a very hard time accepting that.”
Regan chuckled a little; she hoped that Miles wasn’t freaked out too badly. “Ok I shared a bit, now it’s your turn, what happens to you?” Regan smiled at the little sharing game they were playing, “You tell me more about you and I will tell you more about me, I might even tell you about how the big bad cat looks!” she said with a snicker.
Regan’s eyes widened as the feathered mutant asked if it would be an inconvenience for him to request a room. It was a rather bold statement to make when someone opened the door! She made a mental note that this was going to be the last time she was going to answer it if this was what she was going to deal with.
She gave the mutant a nod and moved out of the doorway to allow him inside and out of the snow. She flattened her ears on her red hair with his statement that he was obviously in the right place. Geez, he might as well have walked in and said “Hey I found the freak show!” Regan was finding this mutant to be quite rude whether he knew he was or not!
Blinking at his direct to the point questions, Regan shook her head as she tried to think, she was still so new here herself. “Umm I suppose you would want to speak to one of the people who run the mansion. I am fairly new here myself and have not met any of them yet, but I’m sure that the admitting desk would be able to assist you with all of that.”
Regan was quite flustered at the current situation and she fidgeted where she was standing by the door.
Regan had decided to enjoy a quiet afternoon with a book and was looking for the perfect sunbeam to curl up in. Remembering the front foyer had been full of big couches and large windows, Regan made her way down there to see what the sun was like there this time of day.
As Regan entered the foyer she saw that the one couch by the front door had a perfect sunbeam coming through the window. She quickly skipped over to the couch and curled up on it with her book, cracking the cover to where she had left her bookmark.
After a little while she was startled by a sudden knock on the door. Looking around the foyer for someone to answer, she sighed as there wasn’t anyone here but her. Grumbling as she stood up, she placed her bookmark in her book and set it down on the couch.
Padding over to the door, Regan straightened out her light green tank top and brushed the creases out of her faded blue jeans. She brushed her bright red hair out of her face and open the door slowly, her pierced feline ears and her emerald eyes just peeking past the edge of the door at the feathered person standing outside, her Irish tones greeting him meekly, “Can I help you?”
With a low growl Regan adjusted her clawed grip on the teen as she held him down on the cold snow. Her emerald eyes looked through him instead of at him as she considered what to do with her catch, she wasn’t exactly hungry, but she couldn’t just waste him now could she?
Suddenly the teen started to shrink under her clawed hands. She looked at him puzzled as the teen was clearly turning into a child before her very eyes. She tilted her head to the side and leaned in close to his face, her long sabre fags just inches from his neck. She sniffed him a few times as her eyes darted over his young face, this time they were actually looking at him instead of through him. What had she done?
Loosening her grip on him she studied him with curiosity some more. Her primitive mind was trying to process what was happening, this was a child under her, animal mind or not, Regan had always protected children. Sniffing him again she made note of his scent, she wasn’t going to forget it. Regan leaned in close and licked the boy’s cheek with her large rough tongue in a grooming motion.
Her eyes softened greatly as her sabre fangs slowly started to retract back into her skull. Her bulky size started to shrink back down to her regularly toned self and her spine popped and cracked as it returned to a more human shape. Backing up off of the boy, Regan extended a furry hand to him to try and help him up and in the meekest of voices her Irish tones exclaimed, “I am so sorry! Are you alright?”

Regan watched as the teen slowly turned around to look at her. She froze in mid step as their eyes met, a true tiger would never attack prey that was looking at it, besides that spoiled all the fun!
Regan’s enhanced hearing could hear the teen’s heart pounding in his chest as he took in her form. He was scared and it excited her even more. She remained motionless as he decided what he was going to do and to her enjoyment he decided to try and run. An evil grin crossed her fanged maw and she gave him a head start, the sabre tooth did enjoy playing with her prey.
Watching him run as best he could through the snow and with the heavy clothes reminded her of a wounded baby gazelle trying to outrun lions on the Discovery Channel, this was going to be too easy!
After a few moments she bolted off after the teen, weaving at blinding speed through the trees once again, this time closing the gap between herself and her catch.
Regan launched herself off the snow covered ground with a mighty roar, front claws extended forward as she flew through the air towards the teen. Catching her claws in his thick coat, she pulled him to the ground with her, rolling through the snow a few times before finally coming to a stop with him underneath her.

Regan watched unable to do much from her perched spot on the man behind the girl. Anyway that she would try to attack the man to protect the girl was going to take her out too.
As the man brought the bat up to hit the girl in the head all Regan could do was wince and wait for her to go down. The girl’s scream was so piercing to Regan’s delicate hearing she couldn’t stop herself from covering her feline ears with her furry hands.
Regan’s jaw dropped open as all of the blood in the area bent to this girl’s will. She had shielded herself and managed to knock out the last man in a matter of seconds. This girl didn’t really need Regan’s help after all it seemed. Regan sat motionless on her haunches and just stared at the girl.

Rage was starting to take over her mind as the sting of the stab wound set in, her enhanced healing made the wound clot quickly, but she had bled a decent amount, her wool sweater was ruined. This was getting ridiculous, the men were closing around them and one man was making his way forward, taunting the other girl.
With a quick glance back as the girl screamed out, Regan watched as she took on a blue aura. Using this chance while everyone was stunned and confused, Regan used her cheetah like speed to bound around behind the group of men and kick one off his feet and swing around to shove another back into a snow bank. Her long tail whipped around to trip up another as he tried to back up from the fight.
Regan was mostly a blur as she did her work, the pain in her side was slowing her down slightly but she wasn’t about to let these thugs harm anyone, she hissed loudly as the one that spoke walked closer towards the other girl but she couldn’t reach him without taking the girl out in the process. The man in the back behind the tree was starting to move towards the other girl for a sneak attack and without missing a beat, Regan launched herself over the girl and landed on the thug with roar.

Growling and snarling at the men in front of her, Regan swatted at them with her sharp claws trying to keep them back. Her long tail whipped around angrily behind her as she kept her focus on the men who were each trying to step forward at her. One of the men pulled out a pocket knife and flipped it open, “What the hell is that? Another mutie? Kill it!” He yelled.
Regan’s attention was suddenly drawn behind her as the blond girl told someone to let her go, someone had snuck up behind them? Damn it the sabre tooth was off tonight, she should have head that guy coming!
Suddenly Regan’s emerald eyes went dark as the smell of blood filled the air. She eyed the girl intently as the blood started to soak her shirt, it made Regan lick her chops. Her attention was soon brought back to reality as she felt a sudden sharp sting to her side. Swinging back around to face the men she realized that the one with the pocket knife had stabbed her.
“Focus Regan, you have to focus!” She told herself in her head, she wasn't able to speak when she was in her sabre tooth state. She had to keep control of the beast or she might just kill everyone here!
