The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Eh, I dunno, the city can be dangerous when it gets later. Do you want me to give you a ride or anything," Emerald replied surprisingly quickly.
Normally, the wolf woman was known for staying quite for a small amount of time before responding, trying to word things in a non wolf kind of way. She tended to get onto people about doing things she didn't think were good ideas, causing some unneeded grief between herself and her non shiftier companions.
That said, her wolf brain was working in overdrive and she honestly didn't want this girl she just met wandering in the city alone at night. That was far too dangerous and hotel or not, New York was a terrible place to be alone in, that is unless you had the experience.
So it had been quite a long time since Ruby had a date, well at least the knowledge of her big sister. Maybe it was for the best that she didn't tell Emerald when she was going out with someone, considering Emerald's normal reaction to things.
The wolf woman didn't try to ruin her little sisters social life, she just didn't want Ruby to get hurt and no one could really blame her for that. After the thing's the Lupin duo went through it was no surprise how she acted. No one else really understood her in the same way Ruby did and it was a scary thought for her that one day, Ruby might not be around her as much as she was.
So of course when Ruby called her with ecstatic glee, telling her about her date, Emerald was a little reluctant to let her little sister go on it. Not without meeting the lucky guy first, after all a guy had to be pretty damn special to think they could try to woo her baby sister. So once Miles knocked on that door, it was opened but instead of the bright and bubbly Ruby at the door, Emerald was there, in all her scary big sister glory.
Hilariously enough, she wasn't trying to be intimidating this time, it was just sort of the aura she gave off, especially since she was coming to the door dressed in ripped blue jeans, a shirt with a claw marks design on it, a leather biker jacket, brass knuckles and steel toed combat boots.
"So you're the guy Ruby's been talking about, come on in, she's in the bathroom getting ready, she's been talking non stop about ya for days," Emerald told him, trying her best to give him a friendly smile. The wolf woman stepped aside, allowing Miles in, but it might be hard not to notice those cautious eyes watching him.
I almost want to say that we shouldn't have the splinter group kill the mutants at all. Maybe they convert them by more...violent means. Maybe this group persuades people by violence and threatening families and such. Making people outwardly say that they have embraced god or religion or maybe causing harm on themselves. If this splinter group never kills intentionally that might make a more interesting dynamic with the fact that people would be necessarily able to prove what was done to coherese. That could be where the small mutant group comes in.
As for the non violent group, maybe just having mutants seek "redemption" in the light of the holy one or something like that, rather than going in the direction of directly segregating them.
Or what we could do is have the violent ones go to the order, showing that the group as a whole as a natural threat and while we all know of orders massive amounts of power, this group could overwhelm them on a political level (Lawyers, politicians and everything) and perhaps maybe a physical level with the violent group.
We have been needing a group that can take on the order other than the X-men, the violent sector of the church would be a perfect example. For the mutants, Have adapted or mutants that actually negate or temporarily disable powers as their powers. What about their combats skills? Make these god warriors some bad boys who are on or even above the level of the order as well as the X men. If we make them a threat on both fronts they will be a hell of a lot more intimidating and won't be obvious push overs for the more violence prone members of the respective groups.
This was it shows that everyone can be beaten, outsmarted and out fought, making everything threatened by them as a whole. This is what I was pondering with the group, to make an enemy that actually takes some effort to be fought and can't be beaten in a single solo post by our stronger characters. They can even know the weaknesses or something like that. Not only that, but our respective groups can even lose a few of these fights whether politically or physically and while it's great to have our group run about and win because it's easy to win against a bunch of npcs this can be a new aspect of roleplay to explore to maybe have them actually lose a few times. Politically wise, if these guys get huge support from the public and the government this could always give a bunch of the X's the "What world am I fighting for" kind of thing and maybe if they get beaten in a physical fight maybe members of the order could question The "Homo Superior" thing. The whole aspect of it leaves so much room for character growth and really good, rich roleplay.
Everything was quiet, which was surprising considering what just took place before the gathered crowd. It wasn’t like what they had witnessed wasn’t an absolutely horrifying battle between man and beast; they just didn’t want to get involved. There was no screaming, no sounds, just people standing frozen in pure horror, aghast at the scene they had just witnessed.
The group of men that had formerly surrounded the wolf creature was no longer standing. They weren’t dead-- oh no. Amidst the massive amounts of destruction, the dents in cars, and the shattered windows, where it looked as if a storm had torn up the entirety of the street, where the ground was cracked and cars were thrown over onto their sides, the unconscious forms of the gang lay prone, unmoving on the cold, hard pavement.
In the center of it all stood a ten foot tall, several hundred pound creature, covered in black fur with a crest of red surrounding its head. It wasn’t a human, but it wasn’t entirely a wolf either; it was something else, something with the head of a wolf, massive jowls that could easily snap around a person’s body in a single bite, and large hands, nearly mistaken for human, if it was not for the sharpened claws at the fingertips. Whatever this creature was, its form left no doubt: this creature was definitely one that shouldn’t be tampered with. She didn’t even notice the water splash on her and even if she did, she probably would have reacted the same way. A wet coat was the last thing the beast would worry about.
The beast let out a snarl, its blue eyes looking back and forth between all the people. It had been standing there for quite some time, blood dripping off its claws from the wounds inflicted on the idiots that had dared to challenge it. This creature was no longer Emerald Lupin, this was something else entirely and, this, this was what she feared the most about her abilities: the fact that, once she shifted into this thing, she was no longer in control. The werewolf let out a long howl, its voice hoarse and in pain. Sirens blared dimly in the distance, but it was enough to make the creature to howl in pain, clasping its hands over its mauled ears. Without even hesitating, the creature darted away from the road, running on all fours, swiftly avoiding cars and anything irritably squishable in order to get to one place:
Our Thoughts are with you Chika and Good Luck Kait.
So I'm sorry I mysteriously poofed over the weekend, I was having a lot of internet issues that made it so I was able to run simple things like aim but when I tried to post up on here I kept getting page can not be displayed and all sorts of stuff. I just got brighthouse to fix it today so I should be good now other than my slightly busy week I should be up and posting.
It would be a "church" because of religious practices but with people actively protesting and actively doing bad things it would be vastly different. In the grand scheme of "Human VS Mutant" Sebastian's church didn't really do that much.
This would be an actively practicing church that want to "Heal/cleanse" mutants of their demon powers. or repent for their sins of mutanthood" not making them gods among men like Sebastian did. They want everyone to be saved and be cleansed, even the poor souls of these damned mutants whether they want to be saved or not.
Just tossing my 2 cents in the plot pot here but this would be an interesting way of showing something more than just mass hysteria resulting from the riots. While that is the point of the riots, when people are hysterical, they tend to want to follow someone and a church of this magnitude would be a perfect follow up.
This could also be a way for people to get involved with the riot plotline that might not want to get involved in violence, if the main group did protests completely without violence, similar to stage 2 of the plot.
We are all still in stage 1 but this might just help give an extra kick to the plotline. Showing that not only do some police officers are against the mutants (no big surprise here, we haven't exactly been the kindest to the NYPD) but a religious group as well (one that has nothing to do with a certain unicorn ). It might be interesting to see some of the mutants questioning beliefs and the like.
It looked like one of the girls was settled in already, while the other on the other hand wasn't settled in at all. Not that it was all that surprising, The mansion staff could be a little lax when it came to introducing new students. Heck, she jumped the fence when she first came here and no one did anything about that.
It was hard being the new kid, possibly no one likes you, you wander about aimlessly trying to find your way. It was tough, to be new but interestingly enough Emerald wanted to make it as easy of a transition as possible.
"I can help you out, there's a room next to my sister's and I's room that's completely abandoned, you can go there if you want to," Emerald offered, "I could always point you in the right direction of you getting registered with all the right people. I'm not exactly a member of administration."
In life, sometimes people didn't understand what they were saying to other people. Sometimes, people even completely conveniently blacked out what they said five minutes ago in order to make themselves seem justified and righteous after they are called out on it. These sort of things happened in the world, that said of course that didn't mean they were by any means okay.
Emerald returned the glare, not backing down and not saying a word. She had faced far scarier foes that Colt, this guy was a kitten compared to what she had seen before. He could glare all he wanted to but she wasn't backing down from this. This guy could be as self righteous and as all knowing as he wanted but Emerald wasn't having any of it.
"Did you not hear what you said a few minutes ago, you got me into your car so you could get to know me better, while that's good in those bullsh** romantic comedies that's not how it works in real life. It's not endearing it's freaking creepy," Emerald told him, tail lashing back and forth. "I appreciate that you are fixing my car but you should have been straight up with me from the damn beginning. If it was possible for you to have fixed it you should have said that in the very begining"
There was no look of giving up in Emerald's eyes her eyes returned the stare. Her stare wasn't a death glare or anything like that, it was a stare of someone not backing down. She wasn't afraid, she wasn't intimidated and she sure as hell wasn't sorry.
It had been weeks since those kids' last prank, but considering the fact that the last prank they pulled was drain the oil out of someones car and splash it all over the ranger's dog, Emerald wouldn't put it past them to do something like this. It probably didn't help matters that she wasn't exactly the nicest to them, primarily out of their own safety. She wanted them to stay away from her so when she was in third form they wouldn't be in any sort of danger.
This did cause some problems, though, and since the little snots threatened to do something like this to a car of hers if they ever saw it, she wouldn't be surprised in the slightest.
After all, she had checked all of her fluids recently and despite not being able to scent it, she would have noticed if something this big was wrong when she was driving several miles out to this place. Emerald didn't even get that far from the park when it had started overheating and considering the fact that she left it out in the parking lot for a few days during this little trip it made sense that this had happened.
Logically speaking, her car - if it wasn't tampered with - wouldn't have screwed up this bad because despite the fact she wasn't a grade A mechanic she knew enough to keep her going. The woman lived on her own for quite some time so these were the sort of skills she had to learn.
Speaking of things a very cautious werewolf had to learn, her main one, the one that she still used till this day was automatically don't trust anyone because they might be lying to you. Always know the way out of any situation. Be able to make a run for it or fight off any foe.
Emerald had basic survival instincts that every human or animal had, but hers were turned up to eleven. Now was a prime example of those instincts kicking into overdrive. The wolf woman tensed, all muscles getting ready to spring at any moment, teeth gritted together in frustration.
"It doesn't matter that I would've had to come the shop, anyways. You still lied to me," Emerald replied tersely, trying her best to keep her cool. It really wasn't going too well though, judging by her fists clenched at her sides and her tail sticking rigidly out. The alpha female looked every bit as poised to attack as a wild animal would.
"Even if you wanted someone to talk to about being a mutant, ya would've done it in another way, by, oh, I dunno, TALKING TO ME?! Don't just lie in order to get what you want! I bet this high powered security place that you seemed to go on about has a fold out bed too right?! Emerald snarled at him,her teeth bared.
Whether or not he intended to, Colt picked the wrong person to lie to. Even if the lie was an innocent one, or one just to woo her, it was still a bad move on his part. Even if he was fixing her car, Emerald really didn't care, she would leave the car there if she had to, there was just no excuse for lying. The alpha female knew she wasn't a saint, but this whole thing was unsettling, to say the least.
