The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Tses watched the television with mild fascination. It was always a weird experience to her. Even after several trips to the theater, just sitting and WATCHING something always felt...wrong. She was used to being alert, ready to move, run, take off if necessary. Sitting and relaxing?
"If we keep watching t.v. and movies, you're going to make me lazy." She complained, but kept watching.
Okay, so she sort of liked the blond thief. But she refused to admit it as she stuck out her tongue at Ty. "I'm a better thief." She remarked proudly.
Although this WAS t.v., and Parker could accomplish some really unrealistic feats...
That...was an odd question. Tses considered it and shrugged. The wriggling might be a little odd, but it was hard to tell if that would stop once it was cut or not. Tses went for the rare optimistic approach and shrugged her shoulders. "Can't hurt to find out. Worst they can say is no. Who knows, maybe mutants need wigs too." She waited, then watched as the locks finally fell towards the ground.
Tses wasn't sure if she felt proud or disturbed she just talked the girl into this. "Just don't chicken out now. Having your hair half cut is always silly looking." Tses said somewhat encouragingly.
Tses glanced at the drowned strawberries, then sighed as she put them away in the refrigerator. Following Ty back to the living room, she plopped down and glanced at the T.V. "So, what are you watching anyway?" She asked curiously.
The commercials were currently running, so all that was immediately visible was a chip commercial. Tses didn't want much television, so even that was a somewhat odd occurrence.
Another strawberry fell into the chocolate. Cursing ensued.
Master plan...right.
"We can watch T.v." She finally answered, stabbing the strawberry into little circles then giving up and fishing in the drawer for a fork. Chocolate fingerprints littered the drawer as she proceeded to stab at strawberries in the pot.
Tses watched him demonstrate dipping the strawberries, and then picked up one for herself. The leaves started to fall off while pulling it back out of the chocolate, and the fruit flopped back into the pan before she could navigate it back to the plate. After a few failed attempts to fish it out, she just grabbed another strawberry and left the previous one in the mess. A tiny puddle of juice gradually leaked out into the surrounding candy.
As the second strawberry flopped back into the chocolate, she glanced over and frowned slightly at the steaks. "I guess either way works for me. I think you're supposed to let the seasoning stay for a bit first..." As she fished her fingers in the warm chocolate, she muttered hushed profanities under her breathe in the politest manner possible.
Tses wasn't the most intimidating person, but she could usually hold her ground. While she couldn't exactly illicit fear, caution and distance were enough. Sylar didn't seem to find her worth the bother though. His actions now, his smug attitude and casual comments were stabs in her ego, thorns in her thoughts. She stepped sideways slowly, wondering how long she could hold her form. Perhaps long enough to at least prove she was worth being careful around. The tail lashed through her instead, and the speed made her breathe stop for a second. Not that he could hear it.
It stayed lodged in her throat for a moment before she scowled at him.
"You may be dangerous, but you also hang around Serena. If she told you to sit and stay you probably would, just like a dog. If you were powerful like you want me to think you wouldn't let anyone make you their pet. You would do what you wanted, hurt who you wanted. I don't know why you brag so much when you just put yourself on a leash." Tses scoffed, and turned and stepped away. Her voice sounded so normal, but her form just passed across the ground without a sound. The longer they talked, the more she could feel the energy draining, however.
Okay, maybe she wasn't the best chef in the world. But the chocolate didn't look too bad. Just a little...burnt... She frowned, then moved over to the refrigerator to fish out the strawberries. "I think you're supposed to dip these in it or something..." She said slowly, glancing at them. She handed the over. Maybe she knew when something was out of her league.
Wandering back to the fridge she shifted a few things around then found the steaks. She heard they did better when you let them season for awhile. Season...was another thing she wasn't sure how to do. Reluctantly, she held out the package as well.
Tses didn't mind much when Ty was setting up the pans. She didn't protest as she was given the spoon, and she was even mildly tolerant as he came over and started showing her how to stir. Then things just felt...cute. Way to cute. Like, couples wearing matching shirts and giggling together cute. She swatted at his hand and growled slightly under her breathe. "I can stir it by myself!" She said in a somewhat childish tone.
She was a big girl. She stole her own chocolates and everything. She could stir just FINE!
Two minutes later, the sound of slightly burnt chocolate filled the air.
Tses watched suspiciously as Ty set up the pans. To be honest, she had trouble letting him help. Especially when he stuck the pan in a pot of water. What the heck was he thinking? Why would you put a pan in water... Even his explanation didn't make sense to her. Heat, melt, the end. She took the spoon and squinted at the set up dubiously.
"You sure this is how you do it?" She dared ask, poking at the chocolate with the spoon.
Microwave. She should have microwaved it. Just taken the whole box of chocolates and stuck it in the microwave.
Tses smirked slightly, somewhat proud of her sneaky antics. Not that she readily wanted to sneak out of the house, but the fact she could was amusing. Tses was free spirited, and even in a relationship, there was something restless about her. If she ever felt caged, it would be hard to keep her. She was a bird that would return to a perch only as long as the door stayed open.
Continuing with the pans, she glanced at him, looking at one pot then a slimmer one, considering his offer. "Do you just throw chocolate in this to melt it..." She asked finally, trying not to give away too much, but realizing...she had no idea what she was doing.
Did they own smoke alarms? Fire extinguishers? Maybe she should have stolen those too.
Tses glance at the refrigerator then back at Ty, mentally calculating everything she was going to do. She finally just shook her head no and finished off the chocolate in her hand. "Nah, I got it. You seemed pretty into your show anyway." She remarked glancing at the television screen.
She moved into the kitchen and sifted through the cupboards, pulling out a few pans and setting them on the counter. Could you melt chocolate in a pan? She frowned at them cautiously.
Still playing catch up. This semester is going to be a bit busy, so my posting and activity will be somewhat hindered by my workload. Car hunt chaos is over, but book release is looming and eating up time still. <3 little more patience with me, I will get back up to speed !
Tses made a face at the Hun comment, but let it go for now. She swung her legs lazily and gave him a 'I have no idea what you're talking about' glance as she popped another piece of chocolate into her mouth. She had been up to something, of course, since the moment she left the apartment. But she wasn't sure when she would reveal what exactly that something was.
Plopping back to her feet, she wandered back to the kitchen and started fiddling through drawers. Maybe she could start on the strawberries, but she wasn't exactly sure how people melted chocolate for those things. Asking could be helpful, but that would me admitting she was up to something.
The full refrigerator would give that way too though.
Tses considered the girl in front of her, the length of hair somewhat impressive. While she had been teasing initially, the more she thought about it, the better the change seemed like it would be. She needed this. Everyone needed to let go, try something new, even if it was just once. Tses motioned to a length that was somewhere in between 'high' and 'low'.
"I'd stick just over the ten inch mark. You could always donate it if it's that long, and you seem like that sort." Tses remarked. She'd never had enough hair to do something like that, but she heard a few woman talking about it in the mark once upon a time.
Tses couldn't read Sylar's expression, and his eyes unnerved her. Even in the dark they looked empty, the webbing making it hard to read him. His voice gave nothing away, and his way of talking felt mocking. She considered trying to push him off the roof. Could she? Would he just climb back up unharmed? Wouldn't surprise her. As dumb at the threats seemed, part of her suspected he would carry through with them if he could blame it on her. 'Oh, I killed your friend. Sorry Serena. She started it'. That seemed far more plausible than she would have hoped.
Circling sideways, she kept her gaze on him, ignoring the spooky way the light glint off his tail and the scales on his face. With her light form illuminating everything, he seemed a bit deadlier. She felt somewhat smug when he remarked on her being invisible. Well, wasn't that a nice turn of events. "I could attack you--" Lie. "But it's more amusing this way. Must be frustrating not being able to see things. You seem pretty certain of yourself, but I still think it's all an act with you." Her fear was fading now, the light form giving her confidence. He couldn't touch her like this. She was safe. It would be amusing to watch him try though. She never got to test fighting in this form.
