The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Ty looked at her, noting the first stop and paying very close attention. "Apparently the 'Kaolin Capital of the World,'" he replied. "As they called it, anyway. Yeah my hometown was dull. I know they use it in paint, but...aside from that I don't have a flying clue, heh...."
He gave a small shrug, not really trying to look impressive in his old blue jeans, green shirt, denim jacket, black fingerless gloves, and black sneakers with green laces. He was what he was, and that was all there was to it. "I'm Ty, by the way."

"That's because I did something I kind of regret. Something wrong. Something I can never take back or make better. I had a friend I was close to, even if we fought alot. I promised I'd be strong and we'd make it...but in the end I threw it all away because I apparently decided the good times weren't worth it anymore. It makes me sad now that I think about it."
He spoke quietly as he fired up the stove, much like he used to. Only his heart was heavy. He'd found it easy to distract himself after awhile, but now that he was here, with her...it was impossible.
He brought her the grilled cheese, setting the plate on her night-stand before going back to the couch and thoughtfully tearing into his.

Distractions. That's what Ty needed. Something to keep his mind off of...everything.

So, when the ad caught his eye, the psychometric decided what the heck. It was something to do, and it'd be a way to make a quick buck. Besides he hadn't tried stealing since that little ordeal with the ink-manipulator. That was definitely going to haunt him forever. And he had the tattoo to prove it.
Believe it or not, the middle of nowhere was a long ways away. And as he got on the bus to finish the last leg of this journey, he found himself questioning his judgement. Then again he found himself questioning his judgement alot lately. Plopping into the nearest empty seat, he listened to the conversation between some girl and the bus driver.
Great. Competition. Well, it could be interesting. Never met anyone with a similar ability to mine...
"Heh...I grew up somewhere like that. Only instead of garlic, it was Kaolin. Chalk. Of course, I was a kid," he murmured, his icy blue eyes scanning the rest of the bus before he too looked out the window.

Ty chuckled, looking at her. "You never did like coffee. Accused me of having no taste buds." He sighed softly, shrugging.
"I honestly don't know. I've helped you through alot, but..Amnesia is something I don't know alot about....something else I can't help you with," he murmured. This sucked. It was awkward, but at the same time it was as if they were complete strangers.
"Hey...you wanna grilled cheese or something?" he asked, standing up to go get another cup of coffee, anyway.

Ty blinked, looking at her. "I'm not sure if it would or not, but that makes me wonder..." he chuckled lightly. "Though....if you take it out, it'll close up if you give it time. I think, but I'm pretty sure."
Then she mentioned her tigers, and Regan. "Heh, yeah. I kinda got you hooked on the tigers. I got you the one with the big eyes this past Christmas. I'm not sure where you got the other one; I never pried or bothered to find out. You loved it and that's all that mattered. Regan though...heh that was the one tiger I recall you not liking. Though I'm not a hundred percent sure what all transpired there..."
His voice trailed off as he finished his coffee, his mind and emotions both wandering freely.

Ty gave a chuckle at her reaction. It reminded him so much of...the old her. The one he fell in love with. The one he shared so many good times with. The one he dumped because he apparently decided the good times weren't worth it anymore....
This last thought made him cringe a little. "Yeah...that sounds like the old you. Hell, I'd say they deserved that one though. Taking advantage of you like that." He sat on the couch next to her. "If Ida been here like I said, I could have gone too and you wouldn't have had to go through this." He gave a soft sigh, trying his best to keep positive, to keep from breaking down.
"You had me worried though. I thought something worse might've happened. But...I'm glad to see you're better." Suddenly...he felt a slight...headache. OH!
Getting up, Ty made his way to the coffee pot, making a pot then helping himself to a nice, big cup of the stuff before sitting back down with it.

Ty heard something and he looked up, his face turning into one of relief, even smiling a little. "Oh thank God!" he exclaimed, standing up and walking to her, but not too close. "I'm so sorry! I promised I'd come right back, but I ended up falling asleep...then again I have a tendency of doing that...Thankfully you're okay--"
He blinked, pausing and staring at her for a second. Wait...
"Hold on...you got your lip pierced?" he asked, somewhat...shocked, and feeling somewhat guilty since she was supposed to be under his watch when she did this. "Well, I do admit it looks pretty good on you..."

Ty's eyes slightly opened, and he sat straight up in bed, looking around his room. His room. He'd taken Tses home last night, then went back to get a few things because he knew he'd need to stay with her in her current state constantly, to make sure she didn't hurt herself or get into trouble. But apparently, as he got everything together, he had crashed, and now....it was noon.
Noon!?!
Several choice words flew out of Ty's mouth as he grabbed his bag and took a cab to Tses's apartment. Okay, maybe she was still home. He'd found out about the amnesia yesterday, then they made cupcakes at the mansion til late...he took her home, and ended up falling asleep at his own place...
God he had this way with telling her he'd be back then...not coming back. Damn it all...
Paying the cab driver, he dashed to up to her apartment and tested the door. Unlocked but....empty. Just great. He dropped his bag on the floor and pulled out his cell phone, dialing her number which he never deleted. He waited...then heard the ringing of her phone.
"Sonofa...." He murmured, hanging up and plopping on the couch, burying his head in his palms and sobbing. He was just a big freaking failure, wasn't he....

Ty began to fear for his life now, sweat pouring from his brow and the formerly smart-alecky expression was now a fearful one. For once, he was truly fearful for no one but his own safety. He was going to die...by ink of all things. He bit his lip, figuring now he may as well spill it.
"Okay okay! I saw your jacket...I saw everything it saw over the years, okay? From you in high school all the way up to my ass getting stuck in it!" He exhaled, not really paying attention to what she was doing. More along the lines of praying she didn't kill him and in the process mentally trying to make things right with any and every god he could think of.
Obediently, the redhead turned to get the object Roach had specified. The next thing Ty knew, his headache got alot worse for a second. And then, everything went dark as the thief landed in a crumpled heap on the floor.
Later, Ty didn't know how much later; maybe minutes, maybe hours, the young man began to stir. As he did so, a blindfold was pulled off of his eyes. God...his head was killing him, between the paperweight and his own powers. He surveyed the room. It was simple, though creepy. It made the boy question what the hell he was getting himself into.
"I actually do have alot of questions..." he said rather weakly. "But because my head feels like it's about to explode, I'll keep it quick and simple. Where are we? What are we about to do? And what the hell did you hit me for? Jesus my head already hurt..."
This, I like. Ty would only lie if his safety and personal well-being is on the line, but that's still not likely because....he sucks at it. (And courtesy of Alli, he now has an embarrassing tattoo to prove it.)
I like this idea so far, two similar powers going head to head. Now...what if things got more interesting and the one who ran the ad was a total jerk or something? Someone with some...prejudice against mutants, especially those that can see the past.

"Pathetic? You'd be surprised," he blurted. "Sure, I thought so too, but then I realized...I can tell if something's real or a reproduction. I can eavesdrop on a conversation years later as if I was in the room when it happened. Sure, I can't kick anyone's ass with it, but knowledge can be a very valuable thing to have." He gulped at the pressure on his neck, knowing he may well be screwed here, but...hey he was stuck. In more than one sense of the word.
"Okay..." Well, he was screwed either way. And lying was a proven failure here so...
"In my attempt to get the jacket off, my power activated. In which time I fell...and...yeah." he blushed as he spoke, obviously ashamed now. Okay this was definitely the last time he tried stealing from anyone's room...pockets would have to do...

Ty muttered a string of curses as he felt her foot on his neck. "Technically, it's not a lie. Those really happened. So maybe it wasn't what I was smiling at." He spoke relatively calmly, though this seemed pretty bad. And humiliating.
"You know what? What have I got to lose?" he started, then looked at her eyes. "Sometimes, when I touch something, that object's life flashes before my eyes. Everything it saw, I saw. It's memories, mine. Happy?" He sighed, bracing himself for the worst.
